Roles. The fact you can navigate smootly across multiple devices (Tablet,Phone) is one of the best thing i've experience yet in Simcenter.
It has also very logical interface when you're adapted with Siemens Product aswell Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very minor critics it's a general software for 3D it have a lot of features without getting deep in the tools.it actually does exactly what we ask of it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I could create all kinds of valves symbol from the library and run the simulation for my test lab project Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cost is high for the software and usually face integration issues Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Simcenter 3D is easy to pick up, especially if you’re already familiar with Siemens NX. It integrates smoothly with existing tools and workflows, which means you can start using it without much hassle. The platform is packed with features that work well whether you're just getting started or you're a pro, with simple guided workflows and more advanced options when you need them. Setting it up is pretty straightforward, especially if your company is already using other Siemens software. The customer support is solid, with quick responses and plenty of helpful resources online. You’ll find yourself using it often because it handles a wide range of simulations and makes even complex tasks more manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few drawbacks. The learning curve can be steep for beginners, especially if you're not already familiar with Siemens products like NX. The software is also resource-intensive, so you need a strong hardware setup to run complex simulations smoothly, which can be a limitation for some users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

multiple libraries and features for modeling systems and sub-systems, ability to develop custom component, drag and drop option for easy model development, Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
limited features for modeling extremely niche topics such as secondary flow path Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have use Simcenter 3D for a while and I find it really powerful and better for engineering simulations. It's got many tools that cover different aspects like structural analysis thermal studies, and more. One of the thing I like the most is how integrated everything is which makes my workflow smoother. Things I don’t like about Simcenter 3D is bit difficult to learning. There is so much to it that it can feel overloaded when you are starting out. It takes a time to get comfortable with all the available features also it is heavy due to the resouces so I have noticed it slows down my computer sometimes especially while working on larger projects. The library of pre built submodels are quite comprehensive and enable the development of models involving different physics. The GUI, primarily the ease of plotting output variables is very handy and helps with the quick generation of results. The customer support is highly appreciable for their prompt responses and providing solutions for errors or suggestions for building/optimizing the models. What I also find really good is that ther are 2 updates released every year which includes imporovement to platform facilitites as well libraries which gives the confidence of using the state of the art tool for solving our problems. Although there is the possibility to do scripting of the models and also control them with a script, it is less intuitive in compariosn to some competitor tools like Matlab-simulink. Also, due to the relatively smaller user base, it is hard to find solutions to problems on open forums. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is able to speed up the design process thanks to:
- libraries which contain a high number of pre calibrated and validated models for a huge number of different physical domains.
- a modern platform which includes, among the others, tools for parameters optimization, import of CAD files, generation of ROMs, import/export of FMUs which allow to integrate Amesim with other software, tools for creating control logic (State Charts and Signal libraries). Stable and reliable numerical solver.
The tool has a high number of features, but this does not impact negatively the usability of the tool, which is easy to use.
The tool is flexible and can be applied to a huge variaty of problems in different industrial fields (aerospace, automotive, energy, oil&gas, food&beverage, and so on). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some libraries should be merged or optimized. For example multiple libraries for modelling fluids exist and it is not always trivial to interface them properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Amesim every day for work and I really appreciate the ability to adapt Amesim to any context and almost any physical condition. This software gives you the freedom to generate infinite models with the level of detail you desire. The only limit is your imagination!
Also, I really appreciate Amesim's ease of implementation. You don't need to write your own code (although you can if you want to), and with just a few clicks you have a functional model. You can also integrate your personal FMU into your sketch using the proprietary tool with ease.
The software help page is also full of detailed demos and information about every single component. Additionally, the Customer Support is very efficient and kind if you need a hand! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't appreciate the license manager, especially after the v.15 update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
