"Great project management tool"
4/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

The "Save" feature is pretty robust, so we rarely lose work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

It doesn't take a strong perspective on project management - you can design how you'd like, but there are many features that do the same thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

There used to be an email alert when you get tagged but not anymore:( Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use compared to some of the competition"
4/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

It's very simple and integrates into many things. You can attach cases to Zendesk via their integration option, and this helps the support team escalate bugs to engineers with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

At first glance it seems confusing, but using it just a bit really brings all the pieces together.

I am not convinced the notifications always work? I swear there's updates I miss. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Project management tool to rule them all"
5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

I've used a lot of project management software tools (Jira, Waffle, Pivotal Tracker) and this one just gets it right. It's intuitive, fast and has all the features I want. Also, it doesn't require a ton of configuration to get going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

The only complaint I have is that the Iterations list and detail views are a bit difficult to use. The list view needs to be simpler and the detail view could find a better way to show status and users simultaneously. But these are small complaints compared to how much I love the rest of the interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Shortcut Is Awesome!"
5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

It's hard to nail down what I like best, but I think the highly customizable features and integration with other tools, i.e. GitLab and Slack, make this app incredible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

I want the ability to group cards under a parent card to track subteam efforts from start to finish allowing for improved metrics. Often, we have two teams working on a feature, one frontend and the other backend, and we'd like to tie those cards together under a parent feature card. Currently, "tasks" exist, but we need the full functionality of stories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent & Adaptable Product!"
4/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

The ability for groups to collaborate and comment on stories and epics is incredibly valuable for my team. It helps to keep us organized, to set clear expectations and to understand how a piece of work changed as it went through the development process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

I would love the ability to create a Stories template. There are pieces of information that I want to ensure I include on every story we work on. Having a template would make it a lot easier to ensure we don't miss including key information for our dev teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very organized project management system"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

Shortcut allows me to break down projects with milestones, epics, and stories. Those levels of organization are super helpful to managing design, development, and launch of features, fixes, and product improvements. The ability to tag, label, assign ownership, and comment on any project helps the team work together better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

Getting started wasn't an intuitive process for me, so there has been a bit of a learning curve and confusion whenever I try out a new part of Shortcut. I am still not sure that I am optimizing my use of Shortcut and getting everything out of it that I could. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Great Project Management Tool for Software Teams"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

I like Shortcut's focus on features and reporting specifically catering to software development teams. Other tools can be made to work well, but either aren't specifically designed for building software products, or feel clunky and like a chore to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

I've had issues with Shortcut's pricing changes over the years that have impacted my trust in them, though at the moment I do still use the product because I like it. Previously we were paying for an account that would allow up to 10 seats. A year later Shortcut refunded us and said that up to 10 team members can now use the product for free. That sounded great, but then a year after that this changed again and not only did the pricing switch back to what we paid previously, but instead it switched to a plan that would cost us something like 7x the amount we were paying before for the same amount of users!

This constant jumping back and forth between wildly different pricing plans has created some concern for us, and if this happens again we will surely switch to another tool, but for now we do enjoy the features and functionality of Shortcut. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best Product Management App On the Market"
5/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

Shortcut is incredibly easy to use and by far the best project management tool I've used since I began working as a software engineer. It does a great job balancing between providing customization and advanced tooling for managers while keeping things intuitive and straightforward for the rest of us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

Honestly there isn't really anything for me to complain about. Shortcut does exactly what I need and has proven easy to pick up for new members of my team while also providing flexibility and depth for the more senior members to keep a good view on the overall state of the business. "Shortcut - good for tracking tasks and communicating between teams"
3/5
What do you like best about Shortcut?

I like how you can create templates for specific issues and how you can "follow" other tickets to watch their progress. The templates are very helpful for time and the "follow" function is great for coworking and monitoring issues that touch multiple teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shortcut?

I dislike that you can't create your own sections within Shortcut. I'm a very visual person and I wish I could customize the view a little more so I could sort issues and projects into the different areas of my work. I'd love to be able to sort my shortcut tickets into the different custom aspects; I'd be able to use Shortcut for more things if this was an option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
