"Shodan: A Comprehensive Tool for Cyber Threat Intelligence and Security Insights"

What do you like best about Shodan?

We specically use shodan to track and find newtwork related information, basically the open ports data related to our client related assets. Thus ensuring a better security strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shodan?

What I don’t like about Shodan is that when ever a request is made for a certain requirement the output is not well structured in terms of the data being displayed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shodan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Me working in a brand protection team basically needs tools like shodan for certain client assets that includes Ports and IP adresses.

Shodan does solve this requirement and using its API we are able to integrate it to aid automating reports aswell. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Shodan?

The most helpful about Shodan to me is to help me discover various internet-facing devices and systems, including servers, routers. This visibility allows me to identify potential assets that might be exposed to the internet and not only my own asset but it has ability to show the reputable of an IP address to help me in cybersecurity field as analyst. What do you dislike about Shodan?

The downsides are is the information available on Shodan could be used by threat actors for malicious purposes, such as identifying potential targets for cyberattacks or unauthorized access. Shodan powerful features are also available to threat actors that might use toward my own assets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shodan solving and how is that benefiting you?

Shodan benefiting me by provides a fast way to see the open ports for an IP address and it gives a quick, at-a-glance view of the type of device that is running behind an IP address to help me make decisions based on the open ports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Search Engine to discover the Internet Connected Devices"

What do you like best about Shodan?

As Bug Hunter and Penetration Tester using Shodan to discover the hidden and juicy information related to target and submit to the owner of the company and get a reward from the company. Shodan works like another search engine like Google, but Google indexing website, Shodan indexes the devices connected publically. Many times juicy information from companies like Passwords, Usernames, Hidden APIs, and Token reports get the reward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shodan?

Each product has some limitations with great features. Criminal mind people use this product to hack your webcam and hijack the smart application connected to the internet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a Bug hunter using this product to collect maximum information about the target like country information, network infrastructure, ports and operating system of the target.
