**What do you like best about ShipBob?**

Nothing. I liked Shipbob when I first started working with them before I realized that every single day was going to have a new issue to deal with.

**What do you dislike about ShipBob?**

Shipbob has scammed over $5,600 from me by putting my tiny product in XL sized boxes and shipping it internationally, then charging me the highest shipping cost possible. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Turns out they have been scamming me over 2 years. They have been putting my 6 x 4 x 1 product in a HUGE 10 x 8 x 3 box and shipping it internationally. This changed my costs from a reasonable $17 to around $37. Absolutely INSANE. These people should be put out of business. Scammers, liars, unprofessional, totally broken chain of command and no one to take responsibility for this mess.

I have been trying to contact ShipBob to resolve my issues regarding multiple orders, and they keep saying I will be contacted, but they never do. They are fast charging money, but when it's about shipping orders to your clients, they take years, and their system fails, but worst yet, they don't offer good support to solve their system issues.

Great ease of use across interfaces, largely easy-to-find options and settings, with some deeper utilities that required some explanation from helpful service reps.

**What do you dislike about ShipBob?**

More built for regular storefront activity with evergreen product sales, less particular controls for pre-sale and staged/selective item fulfillment but not a prohibiting factor (I was a bit of an edge use case). International shipping problems and unexpected costs to customers arose unfortunately.

**What problems is ShipBob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3PL for my merchandise store, solves a massive part of the puzzle for me as fulfillment is the trickiest part of the logistics associated with our merchandise sales.

Easy to use interface. Clear instructions for getting products in each warehouse following the quick set-up wizard. Affordable rates with no minimum volumes.  Good help documentation and live chat support. Plugin with Shopify is reliable.

**What do you dislike about ShipBob?**

Sellers are required to register for GST/VAT in each country they ship from, even if their total sales don't meet the minimum threshold for collecting tax.  Some of the account and shipping settings are a bit hard to find.  The quick-set sometimes looks incomplete when is complete.

**What problems is ShipBob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Thanks to ShipBob I can afford to offer "free local shipping" to customers in multiple countries:  USA, Canada and Australia in my case.

**What do you like best about ShipBob?**

We're using Shipbob because we have relatively low monthly volume, under 500 units, and most 3PLs don't work with shippers that have lower volume. At a low volume, the experience is mostly "self serve", but it has been good for the first six months.

**What do you dislike about ShipBob?**

There are not a lot of options for how the package is sent to the customer. No custom packing slip, branded insert, etc. They do let you send your own packing materials, but I hope they fix the lack of a customized packing slip.

**What problems is ShipBob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having a 3PL handle shipping is a great improvement for business operations. It frees staff to do other stuff, and means that shipping is always covered, even if people are out of the office.

Their technology makes for seamless integration that is also customized to your needs. It is easy to build customized processes and validate if they are working or not and the transparency in the process really accelerates any audits you do

With the technology being strong, you don't get the same "hand-holding" experience as you do with other 3PLs. I found myself double checking and validating a lot more in order to feel the same level of trust simply due to the outdated practices of the industry

The only downside is when something goes wrong, it tends to go wrong on multiple orders. Like one person got the wrong item 3 times before they finally corrected it!

Shipbob is our shipping solution. We have self-published multiple books and it is very expensive to package and ship them ourselves. So using Shipbob is super important to us.

We had some issues with orders going unfulfilled for a longer than normal period of time.  Once we let Lacey Elliott know she worked on a quick solve.

The team behind Shipbob is very attentive and responsive, and this is crucial when working with a 3PL warehouse. Also, their dashboard is clean and easy to use. The shipments are usually shipped in a few hours from the time the order is placed.

Nothing to complain here, but they could provide a better refund police for items lost in transit. I believe they don't cover shipping costs, only a certain part of the product itself.

Is completely automatic and API Connection is great.
Nevertheless, the prices for logistics are expensive, so if you have good margins is fine.
Competitive prices are complicated.

The prices are really expensive.
Also, API Connections can be buggy, we had issues with Cartrover for almost 2 months but now is fixed. Nevertheless those issues could happen, but shipbob developers delivered response quickly.

You send individual items, those can be shipped really fast and tracking information can be communicated to Amazon and Shopify fast and secure. For automatic 3PL is more than OK.

That they wont be my 3PL much longer, good riddance

**What do you dislike about ShipBob?**

They overcharge on nearly every package
Their customer support takes 48+ hours to respond sometimes
"We'll be refunding you the $2k+ overcharge" but still haven't seen a dime
SLAs reset randomly without an explanation

**What problems is ShipBob solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was holding off on leaving a review until my inventory returned to me in full and I got the $2k+ refund from their shipping mistake on my account, but now they missed their SLA, again, and I have no idea when I'm getting my inventory back, so here goes.

I had a previously bad experience with a 3PL, so I felt a bit hesitant to sign up for ShipBob. Wow do I wish I'd listened to my gut. I have been lied to every step of the way. Emails to them go 24+ hours with no response.

Their dimensional pricing sounds fine, until you realize they do not care at all about what size box they use. We have a small item (<.1 cu ft) that can fit into a 7x7x3 box. Their team was putting it into HUGE boxes, and charging us dimensional pricing on their error. This is the difference between a ~$5 shipping charge and a $32 shipping charge. Now multiply that over hundreds of similar errors and suddenly our bill was out of control within the first two weeks. They've said "we're definitely going to be refunding the difference" but I still haven't seen a dime.

They claim that their SLAs got pushed back due to covid but "99% are still fulfilled on time". I have had may the inverse, 1% filled on time. Most are late to be fulfilled, late to deliver, and often "reset" their SLA with no reason given and nothing you can do to ask "why"?

I have spoken to so many former customers that have had the same exact experience I have, and I can't understand how I didn't see it before I signed up. Their glowing reviews are a complete sham, and I didn't think I could have a worse experience than I did with my former company; ShipBob proved me wrong.

Sarthak was a great onboarding rep who helped me through a number of tough issues and quickly corrected issues that came up.  He was great to work with.

The initial dimension measurements done by Shipbob were very off and needed to be redone.

Not much great I can say about this company

**What do you dislike about ShipBob?**

1. They have lost our warehousing pallet three separate times over the last year. They have compensated us with "Shipbob credit" for the manufacturer's invoice of the goods after much prodding. However, this doesn't take into account the shipping cost, the lost customer opportunity cost, etc.

2. Their customer service is horrible. You talk to a different person every time, and I'm pretty sure that person is not in the US. They take very long to respond, and usually do not fix the issue at hand.

3. We've had four different account mangers assigned to our account over the past year. None of them were briefed on the account information prior to their arrival. Their account manager turnover is extremely high - that alone says something about this company.

4. Their API connection with Shopify is shoddy at best. Constant inventory tracking problems that had to be fixed manually.

Overall I'd say if you are a small business, be very careful of this company. They may bleed your revenues and make a serious dent in your margins.

**What do you like best about ShipBob?**

ShipBob is extremely easy to use and if you need help there is support. If you like finding information on your own they have a great help center with articles for every. You can manually change which carrier you want to use which everyone needs. On top of all of that, what I love the most is being able to monitor our returns. Now, no one likes to talk about dislikes but it's necessary for future improvements. The main thing I dislike about ShipBob is that sometimes our returns come up missing. It happened one too many times leaving a bad taste in my mouth. They do have policies in place that will help you to receive payment for the lost product. With that being said, I do believe they're getting better since our last complaint. The other thing I dislike is the wait time to be connected to a rep via chat. Yes, I'm impatient so I do not completely fault them for this BUT a 20-minute wait can be considered unacceptable.

Manage the returns better, faster processing, lessen wait time for chat, send out surveys to the companies to manage their concerns, process the information to Shopify faster

The web app works well, and so far the packages that I've shipped have all arrived on time. The employees I'm working with generally seem like they want to help.

On https://support.shipbob.com/en/articles/3983367-shipbob-s-turnaround-times-policies-and-slas, they promise a 2 day SLA to full resolution of support issues. I'm mostly writing to let anybody considering ShipBob know that's just completely untrue.

I have been overbilled by them on multiple things. I have several receiving charges, which should just be a flat $25 fee, that have been billed at 2-4x that number. The employees I'm working with at ShipBob have acknowledged that these numbers are wrong, but we're now into the fourth day and no refund. The only explanation I get is that they have internal processes they have to go through, and those will take several days. That's an actual excuse for them not meeting their SLA - because these simple refund requests require internal procedures. To whoever at ShipBob may be reading this, if your internal procedures prevent you from getting simple issues resolved in two days, then DON'T PUBLICLY OFFER UP A 2 DAY SLA FOR RESOLUTION OF THOSE ISSUES.

When this was raised to a manager, he told me that they have thousands of customers, so things take time and I just need to wait. Again - if you have so many customers that you can't resolve customer issues in 2 days, THEN DON'T HAVE A PUBLIC PROMISE ON YOUR WEBSITE TO RESOLVE ISSUES IN 2 DAYS.

Anyway, if you go with ShipBob, definitely check your billing - I have been overbilled on warehouse storage, receiving and shipping, and I've been a customer for less than a month. It's pretty shocking to me that they can't be trusted to get such basic things right.

If any ShipBob executives are reading this - I just want to be refunded for obviously billing mistakes in a reasonable timeframe. That's it. I really feel like I'm not asking too much here. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss.

Warehouse did not update system even the pallets were picked up for many days.

Need to make appointment for warehouse pick up / drop off, this causes extra time and additional fees.

When you sign up with these guys, you think it's a good alternative to Amazon, but it's not.  As purely a holding warehouse, they are OK because rates are more transparent and easy to compare to others.  But, use them for the fulfillment, and be prepared to be taken advantage of.  They will charge you fees that are sometimes 300% more than Amazon, and guess what you can't do much about it because they are holding your goods.  They impose additional "holiday fees'" (I'm sure it's all buried in the fine print because they always tell you it is) - their shipping rates are ridiculous compared to Amazon.  I get it; we all expect to pay a little more than the rates Amazon negotiates with its partners, but not $14 vs. $5.  They will do it until you say something - the first time they said, "oh, sorry about that - our mistake" and went back and adjusted the cost down a little.  The next time I began to fulfill with them, the charges were even more, and i was told it was correct.  Now fighting with them during the holiday season.  There are also constant issues with their platform and service - mistakes make constantly.  For me, its been a gigantic headache.  Do yourself a favor and stay away from these guys unless you enjoy stress :).

They overcharge on shipping and never tell you the true price of shipping + picking etc, they send big boxes to charge you more, the same package with Easyship or pirateship is $40 while they charged me $80, same dimensions same weight!
After this I decided to switch from them, so I created a B2B order on November 3, their SLA was 4 business days, after 3 business days I got an error on their end and contacted support and they said that something on their end is wrong.
After this they said we will send this to our Tier II, so what they did is rest the SLA and decided to keep even more my goods, they were finally able to pick and ship on November 17.
I tried to contact them many times on the phone and they answered only 3 times during 2 weeks and when I told them to connect me with the manager they said that she is in a meeting, while after 4-5 days she finally replied and just told me that she was out of office, while on phone they said 2 days she is in a meeting.
Their support is mostly Indian and support does not know what they are doing.
After they shipped them they just told me that accidentally they did not shipped some goods  that were on that order!
So during this time I was not able to sell any product because the support was not replying to me for 4-5 days and all I could hear was Sorry and accidentally.

I have nothing nice to say, these guys make me regret outsourcing. Pricing isn't competitive, all communication is bot scripted or feels like it. The WRO system doesn't actually work. I have to merge all my products again every time I add a new channel. They lost $3000 in product, signed for it, and told me to "go back to my manufacturer." The over simplified system is confusing, the help pages don't answer questions, help isn't available to the average user, "live" help is only available twice a week in a group setting.

I don't recommend using ShipBob. If you decide to go with this, set your expectations low, learn to love losses, & don't need help.

Because they are too cheap to have a normal inventory of boxes they put a 3 lbs product in a big boxe so I was charged for 49 lbs dimensional weight. Worst warehouse and shipping management I ever saw. Customer service wil make you wait 1 week to tell you that the boss said that's the way it is. Scam

The app is easy to use, and the support staff try very hard.

The warehouse staff are utterly incompetent. They constantly lose inventory, send items in oversized packaging (and overcharge accordingly) and use precisely 0 common sense.

Every issue takes weeks to resolve, the support team rely on the incompetent warehouse team to provide answers, and they are too lazy or stupid to do so.

Recently Shipbob switched to using DHL as standard for most light packages and the courier is completely useless. Many packages get lost, more take over 3 weeks to arrive (by which time i have been forced to refund / replace for my customers). Shipbob are utterly useless in dealing with the situation, they are so focused on penny pinching with a cheaper carrier that they just blame DHL and explain that I can pay double to use a carrier that will actually deliver my items. They take no responsibility for their choice to use an unreliable service.

At this point there are no benefits. It would be easier and more cost effective to ship and store inventory myself. Look elsewhere.

If you are thinking of a fulfilment storage for your company I beg you not to make the same TERRIBLE decision as we did. All their customer service is in India and they do not understand what 'customer service' is.

We requested 81 pounds of our goods to be moved from West Coast to East Coast and prior to that we asked for the shipping. They send the link to their pricing which should be $146.74. So 2 days later, our credit card gets charged with $1,193.07. Now they say they never give any estimate before shipping and link to the pricing they sent was invalid to that order (we specifically referred to that exact order). This makes zero sense - they mislead customers, lie and do not even call you back to try to resolve the issue. Filed fraud with the bank, and reported them with BBB.

Please go with Amazon or any other fulfilment center. They will charge you 2x what Amazon charges + ridiculous monthly fees + bunch of hidden fees.

Biggest SCAM I have encountered in years. STAY AWAY!!!

Easiness to navigate their platform and how easy it was to integrate with my shopify and amazon stores.  I had a few questions at the beginning and I managed to get those questions quickly adressed by emails. Their shipping rate seems competitive.  I recently also just had the experience of transferring inventory to Amazon and it was way easier than I had anticipated!

1) They lose packages all the time
2) Packages that used to take 3-5 days to arrive at our customer's locations now take 15-30 days and yet we pay 3x what we used to spend shipping ourselves
3) Shipbob will lose packages and not care
4) They will overcharge you for no reason and then only after you discover fees that are absurdly high they then perform an "audit" and refund you several thousand dollar overcharge
5) They even make it nearly impossible to take out your inventory

I would recommend everyone to avoid at all cost. Unless of course you want to bankrupt your business.

I hoped to outsource shipping to them, but this has been the biggest mistake we as company have made in 5 years of operation. We have lost hundreds of customers because of the issues that Shipbob caused. They have one job, which is to ship packages, but they seem to be unable to get packages on time or to the right people or even with the right items. One customer got 200 items instead of 2 in a shipment. Another customer got a box cutter inside the package. over 200 customers got their package after 35 days of shipping.

I wish there was something to like about Shipbob at this point. The complete lack of accountability, organization, transparency and communication is appalling. They are a hollow venture-funded operation that's doomed to go down in flames if nothing changes.

The lack of service and accountability is laughable, if it weren't so terrible and soul-sucking for Shipbob's customers. Empty followups and promises are made at every level of the organization and customers are left to hang. It's a service that probably works OK if everything is working, but one tiny issue can set off a domino effect of hellish customer service and complete lack of accountability. I've never worked with an organization that has been so unprofessional, apathetic, and borderline unethical about the lack of service provided. Shipbob is an example of how NOT to do business -- regardless of industry.

Just don't do it. You're signing up for a world of hurt. Run, nay, sprint, away as far as you can. Don't let them fool you with their shiny smoke and mirrors of a marketing sham.

- Emails gone answered for days on mission-critical items (e.g., why is nothing shipping out?)
- SLAs resetting randomly without notice or explanation
- Complete failure to adhere to SLAs
- Numerous picking and packing errors with zero recourse
- Sending customers extra inventory, with zero recourse and empty promises of compensation
