The upsides of using SharePoint Integration include:
1) Not needing a VPN in order to access the platform. You can login from anywhere via the browser, which was especially nice for freelancers. You can also access files from anywhere!
2) You can create multiple workflows for collaboration.
3) Multiple users can collaborate in the same document.
4) If deadlines are adjusted on the fly, it will adjust the remaining dates as necessary.

1) Too many cooks in the kitchen if multiple people are editing the same document.
