## SFTP To Go Reviews
 ### 1. A file transfer service that just works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gaetan R. | Cloud Administrator, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

The complete managed configuration of SFTP is extremely easy, no more fighting with self-hosted SFTP configurations or firewall problems. We've recently added a new vendor, where I didn't even have to wait for IT to do the provisioning, but instead quickly configured a dedicated SFTP endpoint with granular permissions in less than 5 minutes. Another life saver is the automatic PGP encryption: sensitive customer data is now encrypted and decrypted as needed without requiring the management of keys.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Beyond the basic storage tiers..things get expensive very quickly when we hit 50GB of storage and our bill increase almost doubled. The UI to edit user permissions is also a bit clunky

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were dealing with a myriad of ad-hoc solutions, some vendors sending sensitive files via email, others forcing us to use clunky FTP servers which were very prone to failure every month, and IT spending half its time trying to figure out why it couldn't connect. All file transfers, from Fortune 500 partner to freelance designer, pass through one secure auditable system. For instance, in the past we used to have to download financial files from three different portals each month

 ### 2. SFTP To Go Simplify File Management, Needs A Better Granular Permissions

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wenzel M. | IT Manager Assistant 2, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

It is really easy for integration with Amazon S3, which has been a major advantage for our development workflow. Our system can pull or push files directly using modern cloud S3 buckets, and while I am credentialed, our non-technical external vendors can interact with the exact same data directly using a simple traditional desktop FTP client or a clean web portal interface. This really makes things easy for both us and our vendors. Additionally, setting up custom domain branding with CNAME mapping is incredibly simple. The dashboard provides straightforward DNS settings that allow us to mask the generic log system URL with our own internal corporate domains, and it automatically generates secure connection certificates without messing with manual web server configurations.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

The native platform for the permission logic is too basic. When managing complex project teams, you can set broad read or write access privileges for a specific user directory, but you cannot easily build granular sub-folder exclusion rules within that workspace unless you provision completely separate credentials. They need to add multi-tier access permission to nested sub-folders.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFTP To Go eliminates storage capacity issues by scaling space automatically with AWS. It removes prediction bottlenecks and simplifies handling large media files, improving our workflow efficiency.

 ### 3. Secure, Efficient, and Effortless File Management By SFTP To Go

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jalal A. | Human Resource Manager 3, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

Things that work the best is the instant notification tools for file uploads and deletions. It's incredibly useful that the exact second a processor drops a batch of billing claims into the designated folder, a webhook fires a real-time signal directly to us. This allows for automated file processing rather than using clunky scheduled cron jobs to check for new data. This feature has really saved my working time.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Thing that I dislike is the in-browser file preview capabilities. I think it's almost non-existent if an administrator needs to quickly double-check a single row of text inside a massive CSV to verify a formatting error. The web portal forces you to download the entire file locally onto your computer, rather than letting you glance at it via a secure preview panel. I think they need to integrate inline viewing for a better work process.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go to automate our medical billing and claims distribution securely, resolving network vulnerability concerns. It isolates our file database, ensuring compliance and reducing security risks while preventing manual storage maintenance.

 ### 4. Excellent Status Dashboard for Tracking Every File Transfer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swetha S. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

What I like most about SFTP To Go is that I can see everything coming into/outgoing. We can catch an issue with a client’s upload as soon as it happens so they don’t have to call us to complain. I would miss the status page/dashboard for tracking file transfer status the most if we ever switch. My hands are killing me typing away on this old, sticky laptop keyboard but at least I’m not constantly wondering if a file made it (or didn’t make it).

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I think the biggest problem with this application is the steep learning curve for people who aren’t familiar with mapping to a cloud storage system. Every time I want to review all of the same incoming files, I have to go back and reset the filter criteria again. That may seem minor but after doing it multiple times a week it becomes annoying.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFTP To Go essentially replaced an entire collection of complicated and hard to maintain file routing scripts that we developed previously and which was a huge headache for everyone involved in managing those scripts but after setting SFTP To Go up and getting it operational, it simply runs itself. I also occasionally receive an email every few months informing me of something that went wrong (which doesn’t happen often).

 ### 5. Robust Operation By SFTP To Go Helped Streamlined File Management with Security Assurance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arikas Z. | Support System Tier ll, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

What I am happy and like most about SFTP To Go is the security control they provide, which gives us peace of mind. The granular IP system makes everything easy for my work. I appreciate not having to keep scanning the IP service as I can now whitelist the IP. I can restrict access to a specific storage bucket so tightly that vendors can only authenticate and upload files if the connection originates from their specific preapproved corporate network IP addresses. All this has helped us build stricter security around our server.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

The native web portal management is a bit too basic for our needs. If an administrator needs to quickly search, preview, or manually move thousands of deeply nested files within the web dashboard interface, the performance will lag, forcing us to rely on an external desktop client for heavy manual file reorganization.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go as a secure cloud storage gateway, solving server maintenance challenges by eliminating manual tasks. It frees up our DevOps team from managing virtual machines and patching software, as it runs as a managed SaaS layer. This solution streamlines our vendor data ingestion process.

 ### 6. Straightforward Setup with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Corben L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I quite like how Saggy helped me very quickly when I needed an upgrade, and SFTP To Go was easy to set up. It was great that I got a refund easily, and they offered a chance to give an earnest review, which was nice. The UI's layout was good, making it easy to find all the variables I needed, which I appreciated since it's not the same with all high-level software I've used. Overall, it was a straightforward experience; I really had no complaints. The process of upgrading my plan to whitelist an IP was easy to do. I also liked that I could plunk my information in and get it going exactly the way I needed.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

The only thing that could be improved is the price point. There is a mention of a startup plan, so if we come back, I might take advantage of that.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go for coding with ease, thanks to its straightforward UI, making it simple to find variables. Setting it up was easy, allowing me to configure it exactly as needed, which I appreciated.

 ### 7. Batch processing of our EDI files has become incredibly simple

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vito U. | Data Security and Collaboration Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

SFTP To Go is a solid tool because it lets us transfer files easily without having to worry about things getting lost or stolen. I really like its user interface, you can get an SFTP server set up with very little fuss at all.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

While generally good, the reporting features in SFTP To Go could be more detailed and customizable. I've also encountered occasional minor performance lags during very large file transfers, though this hasn't been a consistent issue. Expanding the integration options with other cloud storage services would also be a welcome enhancement.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFTP To Go has helped us from a problem we had for years, namely sharing big amounts of data with other people. Before this, we were stuck using simple email attachments or some less reliable ways that just didn't work out there. Now, our team can use dedicated channels like this to send files that are encrypted automatically. It means the whole process is much safer and easier on us, so we know all those important documents will arrive right when they should.

 ### 8. Reliable, High-Speed Distribution Solution From STFP To Go

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kazam I. | Human Resource Assistant ll, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

What I like the most is their per-credential bandwidth throttling feature of SFTP To Go. It's fantastic because it makes my work easier by allowing me to control transfer speeds for non-urgent uploads, ensuring that our priority client deliveries always have the necessary network bandwidth to go out instantly, without being hampered by background tasks. This is crucial for me as we need every asset to be uploaded and downloaded almost instantly. Additionally, setting up static IPs was seamless, enabling our IT team to quickly integrate the service into our corporate firewall without any guesswork, and we had the secure tunnel operational across all our restricted branch offices in less than a week.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I think they are missing that mode for the web interface. When I'm checking transfer log, loading it at night, the screen light really makes me have a headache. I also love to see more advanced filtering in the file manager, such as the ability to search or sort specifically by file extension or within a custom data range.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go as a reliable high-speed distribution hub, eliminating connection errors and handling large streams better. The bandwidth throttling feature ensures priority client deliveries are fast, solving my need for instant asset uploads and downloads.

 ### 9. Secure, User-Friendly with Exceptional API By SFTP To Go

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nacsaj I. | Human Resource Exec 2, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

What I use SFTP To Go is as a secure clearing house for our global creative agencies, allowing them to upload massive localized video assets and design files into a central environment without cluttering our main internal file servers. I like that SFTP To Go enforces MFA for the web portal, which is rare for an SFTP service, ensuring that even nontechnical users are protected by a second layer of security. It's valuable because it has enhanced our security, eliminating issues with data leaks, and it's easy for anyone to use without needing a full certified certificate on data security. I also found the REST API implementation straightforward, which allowed us to programmatically spin up folders and unique access keys quickly. The API documentation was surprisingly clean, making automation easier than expected.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

The main drawback is the processing structure for storage expansion. The jump between tiers is quite significant. If you aren't careful about automating the deletion of all files, you can quickly find yourself pushed into a more expensive plan just for holding onto a few extra gigabytes of old data.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go as a secure clearing house for global creative agencies, allowing uploads of large files without cluttering our servers. It solves security gaps by enforcing a secure, encrypted panel for external collaborators without full network access.

 ### 10. SFTP To Go : Reliable Data Hub with Room for Security Improvement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Izfar H. | Marketing Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I am particularly happy and impressed with the permissions in SFTP To Go that allow me to restrict users to append-only access. This makes my work easy because I can be certain that once a vendor uploads a file, they can't accidentally delete or override it, which preserves the integrity of our historical records. Setting up a custom domain and configuring the SSL certificate was a straightforward process that took less than thirty minutes to complete. Being able to provide our partners with a URL that matches our corporate domain made the transition feel seamless and increased their trust in the new system from day one.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

One missing piece is a built-in malware scanner for incoming files. It would be a massive improvement if the platform could automatically quarantine suspicious uploads, as we currently have to route everything through third-party security checks before it can be moved into our main database.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go to manage data sovereignty by choosing specific AWS regions for data storage, solving compliance issues with local residency laws and avoiding separate infrastructures for different territories.

 ### 11. Effortless Integration, Saves Time Instantly, Great features By STFP To Go

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hamzah A. | Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like the real-time activity stream because it lets me verify successful transfers at a glance without having to delve through complex log files or digging on transfer history data. It also simplifies my day by providing a clear and visual timeline of every upload, making it easy to troubleshoot issues with external partners instantly. Creating unique login credentials for different vendors was a breeze and didn't require technical expertise. I was able to define specific permissions and set up password-restricted access for three different external teams in under ten minutes, which was very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

One thing that bugs me is the lack of a select all function for certain bulk options in the file manager. It makes cleaning up large directories a bit more tedious than it should be. I'd also love to see more granular storage alerts that notify me when we are approaching specific capacity limits before we hit them.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go to secure data transfers between our legacy systems and modern cloud warehouse, automating CSV exports and ingestion. It eliminates my need for infrastructure babysitting, freeing up my weekends from patching Linux or worrying about hardware failures.

 ### 12. Effortless Secure File Transfer with Stellar Features

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Imanda I. | Office Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like the SAML SSO support because it allows my team to jump in using their existing accounts, which means one less password for me to manage. I've also leaned heavily into the Zapier integration, setting it up to automatically ping our Slack channel the second a client finishes an upload, so we can start working on the files immediately without any gaps. Configuring the enterprise security setting was surprisingly easy and fast, taking maybe fifteen minutes from start to finish. The interface for inviting new users via email is straightforward and I didn't have to send out guides to the team on how to operate the system.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I really like to see more advanced white labeling options for the web portals. Their current branding tools are a bit too limited to make the interface feel like a true extension of our company. Also, the pricing jumps when you need to add more credentials for users, which can feel a bit steep.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go to securely transfer sensitive files between internal and external systems, eliminating clunky manual processes. It simplifies audit compliance with encryption and logging, and lets me pin storage regions for legal requirements, reducing my workload significantly.

 ### 13. SFTP To Go Provide A Reliable File Transfer with Impressive Uptime

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jorge M. | Senior security analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I really like the IP whitelisting features of SFTP To Go. It lets me lock down our folders so that only specific office locations or partner servers can attempt to log in. This simplifies my daily routine because I don't have to constantly monitor for unauthorized login attempts from random parts of the world, giving me one less security headache to track.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

It's a bit of a hassle that you can't preview or edit text files directly within the web interface. You have to download a file just to check if it's the right version or to see a small detail inside. The platform would be much better if it included a simple built-in file viewer so I could quickly double-check the content of a CSV or TST file without the extra download and delete steps.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go as a reliable drop zone for large files, offering incredible uptime and security. This prevents physical server crashes and scales automatically, ensuring dependable file transfers during peak deadlines.

 ### 14. Streamlined and Secure File Management Solution By SFTP To Go

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muaaz H. | Customer Support Agent Tier ll, Environmental Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like that SFTP To Go has simplified complex automation through an intuitive API and webhook integration, making my work easy by allowing me to set up access control for different users in just a few clicks of button. It ensures clients only see the folders meant for them. I also appreciate the link-sharing features, which let me send secure expiring download links to people who don't have a permanent account on our system.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

For basic tier plans, the storage limits are quite small, which can lead to an unexpected cost increase if our data volume grows quickly. The platform could improve by adding more detail within analytic and reporting tools, so I can better check usage and activity without using external tools. I also think that the email notification rules could be more consistent as they sometimes require manual verification to ensure an alert was actually triggered.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go to manage cloud storage securely, eliminating data silos and security risks. It simplifies integrations and provides a web portal for document management. It solves the hassle of managing servers and automates processes with webhook systems, enhancing efficiency and security.

 ### 15. Seamless Data Sync with Reliable SFTP To Go

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bilal K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like the reliability and ease of automation of SFTP To Go. It consistently delivers our data on schedule and integrates smoothly with our workflows, which makes our daily syncing process seamless. The automation of daily data transfers eliminates manual data handling, reducing errors and ensuring secure, consistent, and timely data syncing. This reliability is crucial for keeping our platform accurate and up to date. The initial setup was straightforward and quick for our team, allowing us to configure connections and start receiving data without much effort. I also appreciate that it requires minimal maintenance, which reduces the burden on our engineering team.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Overall it works well for our use case, but there is room for improvement in areas like more detailed transfer logs and stronger alerting/notifications. Better visibility when something fails or is delayed would help us respond faster to data sync issues. It would be helpful if transfer logs included more granular error details (e.g, specific file-level failures and clearer reasons for retries or skips). For alerting, real-time notifications via email or webhook when a transfer fails or is delayed would improve our response time and reduce the need for manual checking.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go to automate the daily transfer of student data, eliminating manual handling and reducing errors. It ensures secure, consistent, and timely syncing, keeping our platform accurate and up to date.

 ### 16. Reliable and Simple Data Transfer Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farrukh K. | Full Stack Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like SFTP To Go for its reliability and simplicity. It consistently handles our daily automated file transfers without issues and is very easy to manage and integrate with our systems. It works really well for managing multiple district integrations at the same time. The setup process is straightforward, and the platform has been stable for our daily syncing needs. The initial setup of SFTP To Go was straightforward and easy. We were able to integrate it into our automated workflows quickly without much maintenance effort.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

One area where SFTP To Go could improve is monitoring and notifications for failed transfers or connection issues. More advanced alerting and visibility would be helpful when managing multiple automated integrations.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go for securely automating student data transfers, reducing manual work, and ensuring reliable daily data sync across multiple school districts.

 ### 17. Reliable File Routing with a Clear Dashboard and Excellent API Docs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sophia Z. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

Honestly, I think what I like most is that the files will remain where they belong (or whatever) and I know who did send them and when. We had a pretty flimsy system built around custom code prior to this and it would constantly break. Now all of our files route into their respective places (based on the rules we created) and there's an actual dashboard that shows what is going on. The API documentation is better than most that I've seen; not many of the ones I've been reading through allow me to understand after spending hours reading the entire doc.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

If you are a small team or you only push a few files per day then you pay the same price as a large corporation pushing thousands of files per day. Doesn't seem fair. You are testing within the same account therefore you need to make sure your permissions are very tight or you may cause damage somewhere else. A separate testing area would be nice. Oh, and email notifications; you can't determine when they will arrive. Petty thing, but annoying.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We previously had files located across multiple FTP accounts. SFTP To Go combines all of these areas into one spot so you can visually confirm it. This allow us to look backward and identify issues if something has gone awry and also it replaced a large amount of middleware that needed constant maintenance but now it simply functions.

 ### 18. Secure and Reliable File Transfers, Needs Better Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Muhemmad F. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like the simplicity and reliability of SFTP To Go. It's easy to set up shared folders for different districts, and the security is strong. File transfers are consistently smooth, making our data sync process dependable and low maintenance. The security features stand out by providing a secure, isolated environment for each district, with encrypted file transfers and controlled user access, giving us confidence in handling SIS data safely.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Some areas for improvement in SFTP To Go would be more advanced automation options and better visibility into file activity (like detailed logs or alerts). These would make it easier to manage multiple district integrations at scale. More advanced automation, like event-based triggers, native scheduling, or built-in integrations with APIs, webhooks would reduce manual steps in our data sync workflows. Detailed auto logs, real-time notifications, and clearer tracking of upload/download activity per district would make it easier to monitor data flow, troubleshoot issues quickly, and ensure nothing is missed.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go to securely receive and manage SIS data from multiple school districts. It centralizes data exchange, ensuring safe file transfers, organized data, and removes the need for custom integrations.

 ### 19. Simplifies Secure File Transfers, Needs Workflow Automation

The control features are great too; they keep files and transfers organized and help assign duties to specific teams, reducing unnecessary exposure of sensitive files. The simplicity also helps with onboarding new file transfers without spending a day on configuring or troubleshooting. Once implemented, the platform makes the process clean and consistent across teams.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I'd like to see better workflow automation and more flexible notification options. It would be great to have the right people notified sometimes early on in potential situations without the need for follow-up.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go for handling secure file transfers with vendors without managing servers, appreciating its simplicity for quick setup and organization of files.

 ### 20. Reliable Automated Data Exchange with Simple Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like how simple and reliable SFTP To Go is. It makes it easy for clients to securely upload files on a schedule, and the automation helps ensure data is always available when I need it. I also appreciate how easy it is to set up and manage. The access controls and secure file handling work well, and it integrates smoothly with my existing workflows without requiring much maintenance. The ease of setup allows me to quickly onboard new district clients without a complicated configuration process. I can create and share secure access with minimal effort, which saves time and reduces back and forth. The automation is especially valuable because clients can upload files on a nightly schedule, and I can rely on that data being available consistently without manual follow-up. This helps keep my data pipelines running smoothly and ensures my application stays up to date. The initial setup was very easy. I was able to get everything configured quickly and start sharing access with clients without much effort.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

The visibility into file activity could be improved. It would be helpful to have more detailed notifications or reporting around uploads and failures to make monitoring easier.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFTP To Go securely exchanges data with clients, automating nightly uploads to streamline updates in my application, ensuring consistent delivery and reducing manual management of files.

 ### 21. Efficient, Cost-Effective File Transfers with Reliable Security

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael G. | Senior Integration Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like that SFTP To Go has a very simple interface that lets us configure everything needed to accomplish our goals. It does file transfers well without unnecessary features and file management tools that we didn't ask for. I appreciate that we can create new drop-off/pick-up folders and lock them down easily, along with quickly creating new credentials. The initial setup was pretty easy, and we're able to use SFTP To Go with various tools and systems across our organization. It's great to have a reliable solution for quickly and easily transferring files to/from vendor sites.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

This has been flagged as 'coming soon' for a while, but it would be nice to be able to create user accounts that are only able to transfer files and not make them administrators for our account. Better analytics to monitor our bandwidth usage each month. The current export is clunky and hard to get a good picture of how our bandwidth is being used. If there were some graphs and charts that show what credentials/folders were used the most from a quantity and size perspective.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFTP To Go securely sends files with sensitive data, offers a simple interface for configuration, and avoids unnecessary features. We can create and secure folders easily while quickly setting credentials, which we couldn't do with costlier vendors.

 ### 22. Straightforward Setup and Clean, Easy-to-Navigate Web Portal

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsay H. | IT Support Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I watched my coworker set up SFTP To Go for our company, and the whole process was straightforward and easy to follow. You can customize the portal by adding a company logo URL, which makes it feel more personal and better aligned with the organization’s branding. We tested it together afterward, and it was very easy to use. It includes all the options you’d expect for secure file transfers, and you can configure it so the receiving user can also upload documents through the provided link. On top of that, you can set an expiration date for the link. Within the portal, there are also options for managing folders, including downloading, renaming, duplicating, copying, moving, and deleting them. Responses from the account manager regarding issues have also been reasonably fast. We haven’t encountered any other issues so far.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I think the price is a little high. But the trade-off is not bad as the service is fully managed and requires minimal administrative overhead.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We don’t have to manage it ourselves, and it provides us with a platform to securely transfer files.

 ### 23. Efficient File Transfers with Powerful Preview and Visual Comparison

**Reviewed by:** Xandro H. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I love that I can preview each selected file, and it offers numerous features and options. It automates file transfers and feels very efficient when it comes to connections. The frequent updates help keep it stable, and I also really appreciate the visual comparison feature.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Some of the icons aren’t very intuitive, and the upload speed isn’t great. It also has trouble reconnecting at times, and I wish there were a more compact version.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us keep our website up to date and provides many genuinely useful configuration options. It has also made it easy for me to transfer files to my remote server, as well as upload files and entire websites without any hassle.

 ### 24. Fast, Secure Large-File Transfers Made Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johanan S. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like how it works and its high data transfer capacity. It provides fast, secure transfers, and I can send all types of files while keeping them safe. File transfers are very easy and quick, and it’s a solid solution for sharing large files.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

It depends a lot on the internet connection, which can lead to noticeable fluctuations in transfer speed. A more modern, updated interface would also be a big improvement and make the overall experience easier.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It simplifies data transfer and is very effective at restricting file access. It allows us to share files securely, it's a specialized file-sharing tool. It solves the problem of slow file transfers.

 ### 25. Easy Setup, Needs Navigation Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brendan P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

The clean interface is also a plus, and I appreciate that it's widely adopted by counterparties, which simplifies collaboration. It's easy to onboard customers and gets them live quickly, which is a big benefit for my operations.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

The navigation is a bit clunky at times. It doesn't feel like the easiest, and I think the top bar could be made easier to go forward or back.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go for file transferring. It solves the issue of setting up secure file transfers easily, and its clean interface makes it quick to onboard customers. The wide adoption by counterparties ensures a quick time to value.

 ### 26. Simple and Reliable SFTP Access that's always available with Hassle-Free Security Updates

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

What I appreciate most about SFTP To Go is having an SFTP presence that’s available 24/7 and accessible from outside our network. They take care of all the security updates, which saves us time and allows us to focus on other work.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

When it comes to the downsides of using SFTP To Go, the only things that come to mind are that we’re not using our own technical skills to set up and manage an SFTP server ourselves, and that there may be an additional cost associated with using this service.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We worked with a service provider who needed a connection to an SFTP client using services we couldn’t provide on our own. Without SFTP To Go, we’d have been lost.

 ### 27. Simple, Secure Integration Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle K. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like SFTP To Go because it's simple and straightforward. They don't try to sell you on anything you don't need, and they understand that different customers have different levels of needs. A lot of other providers try to sell you entire solutions that don't really make sense for my type of business. So having someone that focuses on delivering just a very solid FTP experience is really nice. The initial setup was great too. I was able to create an account, create credentials, and organize all the files on my own without engaging the team, which is really important to me.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Sometimes I find that their file storage limits seem to be a little lower than I would like. But it also helps me maintain some good data hygiene. So overall, it's a pretty good balance. But I would say if I had one qualm, it would be to allow for a little more storage than they currently do on their plans.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go for developing integrations without managing SFTP server operations. It allows me to focus on delivering solutions securely and helps me avoid the complexities of running the server.

 ### 28. Seamless Heroku Add-on: Reliable, Secure, and Scalable SFTP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I’m an existing SFTPtoGO customer using it as a Heroku add-on, and overall my experience has been very positive. The service integrates smoothly within the Heroku ecosystem, and it also works reliably when connecting with external platforms like Salesforce for file-based integrations. In my use case, it has been stable and predictable, which is critical for automated data transfers.

One of the biggest advantages is how easy it is to manage and monitor SFTP usage. The dashboard is clear and intuitive, and license consumption details are available at your fingertips, which makes capacity planning and cost tracking straightforward. The UI/UX is seamless and user-friendly, so even new team members can quickly understand and operate it without much learning curve.

Overall, SFTPtoGO has been a reliable and easy-to-use SFTP solution for Heroku-based workflows, especially for integrations with systems like Salesforce.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Feature Requests / Suggestions:
It would be great to have SSH access enabled for more advanced administration tasks. Support for advanced Linux/Unix commands via SSH would also be very helpful for power users who need deeper control and automation capabilities.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFTP To Go solves the challenge of setting up and managing a secure and scalable SFTP server without the need to provision or maintain dedicated infrastructure. Instead of handling my own SFTP servers, certificates, storage, and monitoring, I can rely on a fully managed service that integrates seamlessly with Heroku and works reliably with external platforms like Salesforce.

This significantly reduces operational overhead, improves the reliability of automated file-based integrations, and provides clear visibility into usage and licensing. The built-in monitoring and intuitive dashboard make troubleshooting and capacity planning straightforward, which saves time and simplifies day-to-day administration.

Overall, it allows me to focus on integration logic and business workflows rather than worrying about infrastructure management.

 ### 29. Effortless Setup, But Pricing Could Improve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I really appreciate that SFTP To Go is easy to use. When we get a new customer, setting up a new SFTP server takes just a minute. It's great that we don't have to worry about maintaining or hosting an SFTP server ourselves; everything is handled by SFTP To Go. It simplifies a lot of things for us, like just typing in the customer name to set up the SFTP.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I find the pricing for SFTP To Go a bit off. The smallest package is for 20 SFTP credentials, which makes sense for 20 customers, but if you have just 1 customer or up to 20, the price remains the same. It would be better to have options for 5 users or even per user.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go for transferring EDI files for customers. It solves the problem of maintaining and hosting an SFTP server as everything is done for us. Setting up a new SFTP server for a customer takes just a minute.

 ### 30. Quick, Affordable SFTP Setup with Solid Value

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

It was quick to set up and implement and we were using it the same afternoon we licensed it. Our organization have been using it for just over a year now for ongoing automated file exchanges that occur several times a day with multiple different products and it's worked very well, no hiccups. Overall, it’s quite inexpensive and a solid value.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

For the most part we're very happy with the product, but I would say that the interface is a little dated looking and can be a little clunky, but too bad. I found certain parts of the documentation a bit confusing, but their support team was able to explain it quickly.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an SFTP server to support a few SFTP-based integrations with other products we use. We didn’t want to set up, maintain, and secure an SFTP server inside our network perimeter. After doing some research, we settled on SFTPToGo. Having access to our own SFTP server while not taking on the security concerns has made life easier and file-based integrations a snap for our small team.

 ### 31. Effortless Data Transfer Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reeves C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I love that SFTP To Go is super easy to use and set up. The initial setup was very easy, making it a hassle-free experience. It's also been reliable for securely transferring data from our HRIS system to our CRM, especially since our HRIS doesn't have an API for the data we need. I appreciate that it solves this problem for us efficiently.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Nothing it's great.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SFTP To Go allows me to safely move data from our HRIS system to our CRM, as our HRIS lacks an API for the data we need.

 ### 32. Simple Setup and Flexible Access Options (SFTP to Web)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robert J. | Director of Operations/IT, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

Simplicity to use the software and set up access. I love the multiple methods to connect from SFTP to WEB for their site access.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Not really a dislike, more of a request to allow the concept of nested access for levels of control. We have members of teams who need access to customer data in groups assigned to them but no access to other folks/teams. Would be nice to allow that finite control level. Something that we used for years in a previous FTP solution we hosted on our own servers.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

24/7 access to a managed system and security that goes along with that.

 ### 33. Easy School Account Setup and Secure Data Collection

It’s pretty easy to set up user accounts for schools so they can connect to our server. It also makes it simple to collect data from schools in a secure way.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

How you're not able to send a link to a specific folder unless you have a higher plan.

We love the speed for both uploading and downloading. The GUI is also very simple and made for an easy experience as we migrated our users onto SFTP To Go.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

The list of features that appeared to be included with the Enterprise level license included features that were additional add-ons with an increased cost.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed an easy to use, easy to setup, and secure way for us to move data between our clients and us and SFTP To Go checked all the boxes.

Price and ease of use. I have now been told that I need to answer with more characters. Since it is the case that I am doing you a favor by filling out this form, the idea that I am compelled to answer in a way that takes up more of my time assures that I will never do this again.

**Reviewed by:** David K.

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I really like the UI and the webhooks feature in SFTP To Go. I was able to create an access credential for just a specific subfolder of our server, which is really handy. Every time I think of some feature or custom setting that I need, it usually is there. It also sends webhooks to our system for call recording downloads and transcription, which is quite seamless. Setting it up was easy too; I managed everything myself without having to contact support, which is a big plus.

There really isn't anything to dislike.

Overall, these features make my data transfer needs seamless and efficient, and they highlight how well SFTP To Go fits my workflow.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I dislike that SFTP To Go does not support FTP only transfers. Although I have not encountered a client that solely uses FTP, having this option would increase the flexibility and adaptability of the service.

 ### 46. Secure and Efficient with Room for Automation Improvements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric K. | VP, Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

I like that SFTP To Go is built on AWS; it allows us to manipulate files in S3 directly. I also love the webhook automations, as they are great for triggering our data pipeline when a customer uploads a file. The initial setup was pretty easy, just adding it to Heroku and it injects all the environment variables we need.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

I think there could be greater visibility into the automations - longer log duration for webhook deliveries, failures, etc.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SFTP To Go for securely collecting customer data files segmented by tenant, with programmatic access via AWS, and automation through webhooks.

 ### 47. Super easy to use and tie into

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan A. | Research Manager & IT Systems Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2025

**What do you like best about SFTP To Go?**

Being able to map the drive easily and securely, while controlling user levels and access all in one place, is exactly what we needed. We were able to automate daily data downloads to SFTP To Go, then use the free version of Power Automate to transfer it to our cloud platform, which doesn't have SFTP options.

**What do you dislike about SFTP To Go?**

Some settings can be a bit hard to find. I've had trouble getting setting it to allow file deletions from the mapped drive. It seems like you have to go into the app online.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping with doing automations by providing a secure way for services (namely Qualtrics) to schedule data transfersto our computers without having to go into their platform to download it every time. They have ton's of integrations, but just don't have a good automatic download option for SPSS.

**What problems is SFTP To Go solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to allow my customers to have self service files via portals.

I also use it to allow 3rd party integrators to drop files for me to pick up into other systems.
