**What do you like best about Sequoia One?**

The hands on support from their staff. The staff is the best. Have never had an awful experience so common in today's vendor management landscape. They truly prioritize customer service. I also live in the platform every day and it has evolved over time to be much more user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

I wish it integrated with more tech. As a tech company ourselves in Web3 there's a lot of integrations needed for smooth operations internally and unfortunately without those we have to look at other products that can integrate purely for efficiency sake due to limited resources.

**What problems is Sequoia One solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sequoia One makes our HR team run at full capacity. They can work directly with staff to take a lot of administrative work off our plates and set us up for long term success. Their benefits and payroll teams as well as their leave of absence team have become a part of our organization at this point.

**What do you like best about Sequoia One?**

The customer service from our dedicated team is top notch. Whenever there is a problem I don't ever have to worry that someone is taking it seriously and looking to resolve the issue. There have been multiple times where a certain offering or feature from Sequoia was less than desirable so I email (or call) Michael with my frustrations -- he always keeps these concerns in the back of his head and makes sure to do anything or everything he can to find a solution. Monisa has gotten plenty of frantic emails where I missed some deadline or had a crisis I needed help with and I always feel like she waves her magic wand and makes everything better. Just knowing I have her on my team gives me such peace. Shan in payroll has gone above and beyond multiple times for us and always seems to be on top of everything.  So the service/people who work at Sequoia are really their greatest feature. The admin.sequoia.com site is modern, has a lot of details & resources available which makes it easy and helpful. Open Enrollment is generally a fairly painless process. It was better this year because they corrected something that was confusing last year around the HSA enrollment.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

Having both the sequoia site and the prism site is cumbersome and the employees will get confused when they are trying to complete something that can only be done in prism but have to navigate through the other site to get there. The limited insurance provider options are a bummer. Not allowing employees to manage their specific investments vs having to use default funds. We don't love the optional life insurance offering as it's too expensive to be worth offering as a benefit. The workers compensation provider has been horrible the two times I have ever needed to use them. The Sequoia team has been amazing in getting involved and trying to improve the experience, but please for all that is good in the world find a different vendor. Over the years I have seen the service get more "corporate", for example: the advocate line is no longer a dedicated human who knows our team intimately and I have to verify my existence before I can get help. I understand the need and scaleability issues but I still don't like it and quite honestly it makes me want to avoid calling them for help. I also feel like Sequoia used to be able to help more with tax set up and other tediously awful tasks but as the years have passed more seems to be required of the client. I know this is something I have expressed to Michael... but would love this to make a u-turn.

**What problems is Sequoia One solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the need for a benefits & payroll provider along with all the compliance requirements our company has. It makes compliance audits significantly easier, takes a lot of the hassle out of open enrollment, and saves us from having to employ someone for payroll. Lots of time is saved.

My HRBP is top notch and each team has some amazing folks who are smart, supportive, and make our operation run smoothly.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

The fees can be on the higher end, including our benefit renewal. If your support team isn't a fit you need to advocate to get in a good spot but they are always agreeable to making changes. 

**What problems is Sequoia One solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to support multistate employees with a leaner people team. We truly feel like our HRBP, Allison, is a member of our team, and we would genuinely be lost without her. Sequoia One is a higher-end PEO that has a lot of pros and genuinely helps with the Employee brand and well-being initiatives.

Sequoia One has an exceptional team, and every interaction I’ve had reflects how engaged and supportive the employees are. I truly appreciate the quality of service and the positive approach everyone brings.

One area I’ve found more challenging is the recent change in the support model. When I first joined Sequoia One, we had a dedicated CXM/Platform Success Manager, which allowed for a consistent 1:1 relationship and the ability to build rapport. Having a single point of contact who was familiar with our history and prior situations was extremely helpful, both in resolving issues quickly and in preventing recurring challenges.

With the shift to the pooled support model, I’ve noticed the loss of that continuity. While the team is still wonderful to work with, I do miss the benefit of having someone who already understands our context without needing to re-explain past events.

I’m sharing this simply as feedback from my experience, as the dedicated model offered significant value from a relationship and efficiency standpoint.

The payroll and HR compliance are huge and they make it very simple and easy.

**What do you like best about Sequoia One?**

I find Sequoia One easy to use for the most part, particularly with its services related to medical, dental, vision, mental health, and financial planning. These comprehensive benefits are highly valuable to me, allowing for efficient management and peace of mind regarding my and my team's well-being. Additionally, I am grateful for the dedication and support of team members like LaRee and John, and other Sequoia One team members, who have been wonderful to work with and have made a significant positive impact on my experience. Their assistance and partnership have been crucial over the past year, and their customer service is a notable highlight of using Sequoia One.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

As the Admin, I find Sequoia One to be more challenging due to its limitations in payroll services. It is problematic because Sequoia One lacks the capability to run regular and bonus payroll simultaneously, forcing a manual process that increases the risk of errors when adjusting 401k contribution amounts for different payroll cycles. Additionally, Sequoia One does not integrate with Charles Schwab as a 401k administrator, requiring us to engage a third-party vendor to manage the 401k uploads and contributions, which is only a temporary solution and not ideal for us as a wealth management firm. This limits our flexibility with investment options that we aim to offer, and it's not currently supported through Sequoia One's partner, Empower. This aspect of the service needs improvement. Also, it seems a bit inefficient with the way things are set up reviewing PTO and confirming 401K contributions are correct each payroll. When changes are made and it's communicated to Sequoia, these should be "correct" without having to double-check them each pay period. This may be because of the reg vs. bonus manual changes, but it just seems like a very inefficient process (more time-intensive than preferred).

I use Sequoia One for benefits and payroll. It's easy to use, offering medical, dental, vision benefits, mental health, and financial planning services efficiently. I like that there is an AI feature now.

I find the Sequoia People Platform to be incredibly intuitive and visually appealing, which significantly enhances my experience. Its ease of use allows me to efficiently manage and navigate through tasks like submitting time off requests and accessing payroll and W2 forms. Handling compliance issues such as offering benefits, processing terminations, and managing leaves of absence becomes seamless with Sequoia One. Additionally, I value the platform so much that I would highly recommend it to others, as reflected in my perfect recommendation score.

I dislike that Sequoia One is not integrated with Prism HR or time and labor systems.

Switching between the two tools can occasionally feel a bit awkward. I hope that Prism will eventually get a UI update to make it more user-friendly.

There's not a ton that I like about them. Our current rep is great and nice and knowledgeable and I really like her, but I just find the breath of their services. The products are way behind times the use of data for the HRIS is just not good.

The breath of services is lacking the tools and technologies they have are less than adequate and they just don't have a great dashboard whatsoever

We scaled from a start up to accompany that's around 300 employees and I think it just served a purpose but there's just so many better PEO that I'm very knowledgeable of but this time it's very hard to switch because we're in so deep with them having 300 employees

Having two platforms was a bit rough, but not the worst.

everything. they have wonderful customer service, always helpful, platform has helpful resources. The platform is eay to use, has everything you need, they even have additional items on the platform you never realized you needed until you start using it lol. 
i use the platform everyday and my job would probably be so much harder if it wasn't for Sequoia

So far Nothing, cause they constantly are improving.

**What do you like best about Sequoia One?**

Sequoia One enables payroll and HR assignments to be offloaded from me, thus allowing me to focus on more important tasks. However, that saved me the trouble as their team catered for all the things from taxes, to administering benefits, thus I was able to concentrate and steer the operations of my business.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

I have sometimes encountered problems with payroll, when the funds are not available on time. It resulted in a couple of mistakes and caused some confusion and frustration with my employees. Furthermore, I had to write some additional emails to get things straightened out.

**What problems is Sequoia One solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am certain that I have turned to the right place in hiring Seqnui The One, a company staffed by experts to handle my HR and payroll issues. This way I have more time to pay for my business rather than be concerned about compliance and administrative tasks. But the lack of regular pay checks is a consideration, I am afraid.

**What do you like best about Sequoia One?**

Our reps are extremely responsive, usually within a couple hours even though the SLA is 24hrs. They answer everything from how to retrieve certain reports to making sure our taxes are filed across all our states properly. It's really easy to get up and running and doesn't require ongoing maintenance.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

Their transition from Prism to their new software systems is slow (as expected) and so splitting time between the old app and the new one is a bit annoying but everything works.

**What problems is Sequoia One solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multistate compliance is near impossible as a small company with no space for full time staff to handle that.

I have worked with several PEOs over the years, and have found Sequoia to be the most reliable, user-friendly, and consistent. Their client service team is knowledgeable, quick to respond, and very helpful. We've never encountered errors in managing payroll, leaves of absence, etc, and their website is easy for our employees to navigate.

I have no complaints, we haven't had any problems with their service or their systems.

**What problems is Sequoia One solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small, growing orgranization, and Sequoia allows us to have a full benefits offering, and manages the parts of HR that would otherwise require us to have a full team in place.

There are many aspects:
1. cheaper insurance rate
2. Comprehensive service such as 401K, so we don't have to deal with another vendor
3. Payroll service that is easy to use
4. The HR service, so we don't have worry about not compliant with the regulations
...

I did not see any down side of the service

Tabitha Harden and her continuous commitment to helping us week after week. She's gone above and beyond helping us.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

The system is very old. The interface is just very frustrating to use. To pull a report I need to go through many steps and it doesn't save so each month I need to redo the same steps, which is a poor experience.

**What do you like best about Sequoia One?**

Sequoia is great at inquiries, payroll processing and taxes. They are limited with taxes and slow to respond on tax inquiries. This is a great company if you are an early state startup or very small company.

**What do you dislike about Sequoia One?**

Reporting limitations, slow to respond on some payroll inquiries, no access to view W2's because they are the EOR. They do not share a lot about what they are doing on the backend.

**What problems is Sequoia One solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They did not solve any problems. They are beneficial because they do everything for you in regards to payroll/payments and taxation. When your company grows , it is time to look elsewhere.
