"Long Time Customer, never disappointed"

What do you like best about Nomic Networks?

I have used their product and services for over 15 years. They are responsive and provide a critical service for our infrastructure. In short, I tell other IT professionals that they would have to pry them from my cold dead hands. They are that critical to our security posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nomic Networks?

I sincerely do not have one. They are affordable and the cost benefit analysis is a no brainer. Althought it has not happened, my fear is they get to well known and the current status quo of service may suffer, but as I said, that has not occurred. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Nomic Networks:

One of the best decisions you will make. If you want to impress your C level management, you need to proucure their services. The old cliche was no one ever was fired for purchasing Cisco, well that can be said for implementing Nomic sevices too. Have been in IT for over 40 years and there aren't many products and/or services that you can, without reservation, recommend. "Set it and forget it NDR"

What do you like best about Nomic Networks?

What problems is Nomic Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Nomic Outpost is providing an extra layer of protection for devices in my network that both do and do not benefit from our EDR solution. Combined with our firewall and EDR solution, the Outpost NDR device helps us mitigate invasive network and malicious activity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Happy for the past decade"

What do you like best about Nomic Networks?

Their support has been literally the best out of the vendors i have worked with. Knowledgable, helpful responses within minutes, conisistently. I always end up feeling 100% confident in the responses to our questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nomic Networks?

It would be helpful for me as a network tech to have the ability to configure the network settings myself, but i understand the reason behind it and it is such a minor issue with support being so responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Nomic Networks:

Just go with them. Out of all the vendors i have worked with over the past 15 years they are my favorite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nomic Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company had been using a Sentinel IPS device to protect our main data center for the past 12 years or so. We have regular penetration tests performed by an outside vendor and the IPS has never been an issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Decent IPS For Org"

What do you like best about Nomic Networks?

It so far very decent managed security service provider in market. Give good protection to the network. Too much customisation option available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nomic Networks?

Nothing so far. Multiple WAN connections could have been a big advantage. Also, they're little high on pricing but could be worked out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ultra Responsive & Incredible support"

What do you like best about Nomic Networks?

Placing the Sentinel IPS in-line with our WAN connection allows us to see all malicious and scanning traffic. This has been incredibly eye-opening. One of the greatest features of the Sentinel Outpost is the network cloaking feature. This helps you hide from would-be threats trying to scan your network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nomic Networks?

It's not something I particularly dislike but it is an option that would be nice. I think it would be slick if Sentinel Managed Network Security Services offered a smaller, less-expensive product for "the little guys" that may not have the budget for their services. Currently, there's a one-size-fits-all appliance but it would be nice to see different products at different price points/bandwidth capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Nomic Networks:

Sentinel Managed Network Security Services is good at hiding from the bad guys but doesn't hide anything from you. If you're looking for a managed IPS that isn't a "black box" and provides you with actionable insights and visibility, this is the team you should be working with. They provide unmatched support and were even willing to hop on a multi-vendor call to spell out requirements with us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use trust Sentinel IPS to be placed on the front lines. It serves as our first line of defense for traffic coming into our network and our last line of defense for traffic leaving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy and affordable IPS for a small IT department"

We needed an affordable and easy to use solution for a small IT department to help with intrusion prevention. After looking at several options we chose the Sentinel IPS and it has far exceeded our expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nomic Networks?

The network cloaking feature is a huge plus. We receive reports daily that show just how much work it is doing to allow our firewall and router to handle more of what they are needed to do without worrying about all of the extra traffic. Nothing to dislike. It does what we need it to do and we've never had any issues with the hardware, software or support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Sentinel IPS offer a generous trial period and it is very easy to add the hardware into your existing network. It is worth trying them out just to see what traffic you are allowing into your network that could easily be blocked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Nomic Networks?

Support is swift to respond and knowledgeable about the threats involved and the attempts to attack your network. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Nomic Networks?

We are a new customer, but I haven't found any negative aspects yet. As an SMB, I always wish for a lower price, but the active way Sentinel monitors their device alongside us seems like a great value add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Nomic Networks:

They are very willing to do a free live trial of their product. Give it a shot as it is easy to implement and, at worst, gives you brief visibility into potential risks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Nomic Networks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Their product is an added layer in our layered approach to securing our internal networks. We look for products that are effective without a lot of care and feeding and so far Sentinel fits the bill.
