I don't particularly like having to start each class daily. It would be nice to have a set schedule for each day that would start at a specific time since starting several classes each day can be overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Securly has helped me manage my students' use on their Chromebooks. It also is a great tool for viewing their screens without having to walk around the room. I dislike the POTENTIAL this platform has for teachers or other school personnel to abuse their power. If used intentionally, Securly can foster good teaching and learning practices. Used incorrectly/maliciously, it can undermine the trust students have for their teachers, attenuate classroom relationships, and make students feel like they can't get away from "Big Brother". The most important part of Securly is being able to see what tour students are accessing on their 1 to 1 devices in real time. We all know the best security and firewalls arent enough to prevent an intrepid middle school student from finding places they should not be. Our job as educators is to find a way to stay on top of what places a couple of dozen students are visiting simultaneously. Securly lets you do that. Sometimes Securly seems slow to react. You close a site a student is on, and it still appears several minutes later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Teachers are able to view what students are viewing on their Chromebooks, lock student screens if need be, push URL's, limit tabs, etc. it is much more flexible than GoGuardian, which we had before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
