What do you like best about SecureCRT?

This has been the best piece of software that I have ever used. Being able to keep access to all my network devices from 1 location is extremely helpful. It allows me to setup up how I want to connect to each of them, what users I want to use, and group them by location and what they are. You can even secure the software to where if someone has access to your computer for some reason, they cannot see your devices as it is encrypted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecureCRT?

It is licensed per user, and to upgrade it. You possibly need a newer license to use it. Outside of that, there are not many dislikes of this product what so ever and it works like a champion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SecureCRT:

If you are looking for a way to log into all your network devices under one location, this one is it. You can easily add them here and quickly access them with ease. If you are looking for a thriving build product, this one is sure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SecureCRT solving and how is that benefiting you?

Allows me to see all my network devices and can share them with coworkers easily if they have the software installed as well. It also helps out where I do not need to know every IP address of each device, and I can use any protocol I would like to access. Also, it's one piece of software for all instead of using another tool to access each device one at a time. This also is useful to see two or more devices at the same time to verify configuration if need be for new and older devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SecureCRT?

One of the greatest terminal apps I use to access network resources and services.

The most important features of this program are:-

Multiple sessions can be opened in a single window.

The ability to highlight commands with a variety of colors.

The ability to send commands to all sessions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecureCRT?

First: is the high cost in comparison to competitors.

Second: the software is incompatible with some browsers by default, so you need to make additional settings or modify some registry values. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SecureCRT solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previously, I had to use many terminal programs to suit all of my requirements, which was quite inconvenient.

But once I started using SecureCRT, things got much easier because I was able to get all of the features, settings, and tools that I needed in one program.

My SecureCRT terminal emulation experience was really rich, and I consider it one of the best in this field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SecureCRT?

The keymap editor is just the next level when dealing with connections and scripts, you can set a key combination to connect to a specific device and then set a different key combination to run a script, so with several easy to remember customized key combinations I can run several tasks in seconds and shuffle between devices and have everything logged. When dealing with 20+ devices things that take 3 minutes to set up in SecureCRT can take hours in other tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SecureCRT?

It is not intuitive unless you have a background in engineering or computer science and you have to remember your binds or show the popup to remember them. If there was a way to have the binds in a sidebar directly on SecureCRT that would make this even better, it is already on the wishlist of features so I guess it is just a matter of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SecureCRT:

Learn how to use it to automate and save time, otherwise, you are wasting a lot of potential and time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
