**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

What I like most about Sectigo Certificate Manager is the centralized way it manages digital certificates, which makes the entire lifecycle—from issuance through renewal—much simpler. The platform offers strong visibility across certificates, automated alerts when certificates are nearing expiration, and solid integration with a range of environments. Its user-friendly interface, combined with helpful automation, reduces the risk of outages caused by expired certificates and makes it a reliable, efficient solution overall.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Some common dislikes about Sectigo Certificate Manager include a few recurring pain points.

User interface complexity: the dashboard can feel cluttered, and the navigation isn’t always intuitive, which can make certificate management harder for beginners. Customer support response time: although the support team is helpful, responses can sometimes take longer than expected. Limited automation: automating certificate issuance and renewal across diverse environments may require extra configuration or even third-party tools. Documentation gaps: some advanced features and troubleshooting steps aren’t always explained clearly in the official documentation. Cost for enterprise features: higher-tier plans and advanced capabilities for large-scale use can feel pricey compared to alternatives.

Taken together, these issues can make the overall experience less convenient for teams managing large or complex infrastructures.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager is solving the problems of manual certificate tracking, renewal, and management across a complex IT environment. ### 2. Efficient and Unified Certificate Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harish K. | soc analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

What I like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager is how much it simplifies and centralizes certificate lifecycle management. The platform gives clear visibility into all issued certificates, upcoming expirations, and compliance status, which makes tracking and planning far easier. Automated notifications and the ability to enroll and renew certificates at scale have significantly reduced manual effort and minimized the risk of unexpected expirations. I also appreciate how straightforward the interface is—tasks like searching for certificates, reviewing detailed metadata, and generating reports are quick and intuitive. Overall, the tool has helped streamline our processes, reduce administrative overhead, and improve security posture.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

One downside of Sectigo Certificate Manager is that some areas of the interface feel outdated and can be unintuitive for new users, especially when navigating deeper certificate details or less commonly used functions. At times the layout makes it harder than necessary to quickly find what you need. Additionally, certain processes—such as bulk actions or integrating with external systems—could be more streamlined or better documented. These limitations don’t stop the platform from being effective, but improving usability and modernizing the UI would make day‑to‑day management more efficient.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Sectigo Certificate Manager, we struggled with tracking certificate lifecycles across multiple environments. Expirations were difficult to monitor, and renewals often required manual effort, which increased the risk of outages and compliance issues. With Sectigo, we now have centralized visibility into all certificates, automated expiration alerts, and streamlined enrollment and renewal workflows. This has significantly reduced the time spent on manual tracking and lowered the likelihood of unexpected service disruptions. The improved organization and automation have also strengthened our overall security posture and made certificate management far more predictable and efficient.

  ### 3. Automation + Centralized Dashboard: Clear Visibility and Control for Certificates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shubash N. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

My favourite feature of Sectigo Certificate Manager is its automation and centralised dashboard. It streamlines the issuance, renewal, and deployment of certificates, while giving the entire organization clear visibility to help prevent outages, maintain control over both public and private certificates, and ensure compliance.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Although there are many integrations available, I think it would be even better to expand support for more widely used tools like ServiceNow or Splunk. As it stands, some workflows still require extra API setup or additional customization, so deeper native integration would make the overall experience smoother and help save time.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager addresses the challenge organizations face when certificate management is handled through manual tracking. The system automates certificate renewals and stores certificates in the vault ahead of their expiration dates, helping prevent service interruptions and reduce security vulnerabilities. The solution we implemented has saved our team a significant amount of time, lowered the risk of errors, and allowed us to maintain secure, compliant environments without the need for constant manual checks.

  ### 4. Streamlined, Centralized Certificate Management with Helpful Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumer ali M. | Senior Systems Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

What I like most about Sectigo Certificate Manager is how much it streamlines certificate management. The automation for issuing, renewing, and monitoring certificates saves a lot of manual effort and helps prevent outages caused by expired certs.

I also really value having everything centralized in a single dashboard. It provides clear visibility into all public and private certificates across the environment. The interface is clean and intuitive, so even routine tasks feel quick and straightforward.

On top of that, the alerts and reminders are genuinely useful, and the support team has been responsive and knowledgeable whenever we’ve needed assistance.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Overall, the platform works well, but there’s a bit of a learning curve when you’re first setting up automation and integrations. Some parts of the interface could be more intuitive, especially for advanced tasks, and the documentation could be more detailed in certain areas.

Support has been helpful whenever I’ve needed it, although response times can vary depending on how complex the issue is.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager centralizes certificate discovery, lifecycle management, and automation across our infrastructure. It removes the need for manual tracking, helps prevent certificate expirations, and simplifies issuance and renewal through policy-based workflows, reducing operational risk and administrative overhead.

  ### 5. Reliable certificate lifecycle management with strong automation potential

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishi D. | Specialist Platform Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager gives us a single place to track and manage certificate lifecycles across teams. The biggest win for us is the added visibility and control: we can centralize our inventory, reduce the risk of “surprise expiry,” and standardize how certificates are requested and approved. I also appreciate that it’s CA-agnostic and can be used alongside other public and private CAs (e.g., Microsoft AD CS and cloud private CA options), which is especially helpful in mixed enterprise environments. Automation and integrations feel like a strong direction as well—particularly when you’re handling renewals at scale and don’t want manual steps to be the thing that drives outages.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

There’s a learning curve if you’re new to certificate lifecycle management, and some workflows feel more “enterprise/IT admin” than “self-serve simple.” Depending on your environment, getting full automation and integrations working can take some upfront planning—agents, ACME/API setup, and coordination with app and infrastructure teams. The reporting and overall UX could also be more intuitive for day-to-day operations (for example, quicker filters and clearer dashboards), but once everything is set up, the platform is reliable for governance and tracking.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use SCM to reduce operational risk from expiring certificates, strengthen governance, and bring consistency to certificate requests and renewals across our applications. Centralized lifecycle management helps us avoid outages caused by missed renewals, while also reducing human error by pushing us toward automation and repeatable, standardized workflows. This is becoming even more important as certificate lifecycles shorten and renewals happen more frequently—having a CLM platform in place helps us scale without adding manual overhead.

  ### 6. Centralized certificate management that reduces risk and manual effort

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abhay B. | Senior Cloud Infrastructure, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager has been most helpful for centralizing certificate lifecycle management across our organization. It offers strong visibility into the certificate inventory, along with clear expiration tracking and automated renewal, which helps reduce the risk of outages caused by expired certificates. The platform supports multiple certificate types and environments, integrates reasonably well with our existing infrastructure, and makes it easier to enforce governance and compliance through role-based access controls and policy management.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The biggest drawbacks of Sectigo Certificate Manager, in my experience, are its usability and overall complexity. The user interface can feel dated and not very intuitive, which makes routine tasks more difficult than they need to be. The initial setup and implementation also come with a steep learning curve, particularly when it comes to automation and integrations. On top of that, the documentation can be inconsistent, so troubleshooting often ends up relying on customer support. Unfortunately, support can be slow to respond and may require multiple follow-ups before an issue is fully resolved.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager addresses the challenge of manual, fragmented certificate management across multiple teams and environments. It helps prevent certificate expirations, improves visibility into certificate ownership and usage, and supports the enforcement of consistent security policies. As a result, it reduces operational risk, helps minimize service outages, saves engineering time through automation, and strengthens overall security and compliance.

  ### 7. Agnostic Certificate Lifecycle Management solution that's cloud based and easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex S. | Manager, IT Infrastructure, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

What I like most about Sectigo Certificate Manager is that it’s cloud-based, so we don’t have to spend extra time and resources managing yet another tool or environment. I also appreciate how quick and straightforward it is to issue, revoke, or renew certificates directly from there, rather than having to create à la carte purchase orders for each individual new certificate.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Automating the issuance of certificates in Sectigo Certificate Manager has been a bit more challenging for us. Much of this comes down to the fact that we’re not yet very familiar with the product’s ACME feature. That said, support has been readily available and helpful whenever we’ve reached out for assistance.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager solved a problem we were facing with having multiple vendors for various SSL certificates. We’ve since consolidated and now purchase all of our SSL certificates from Sectigo, which has done two great things for us. First, it simplifies how we manage certificates by giving us a single pane of glass where we can manage certificates. Second, it enables much faster issuance and administration.

We purchase a bundle of certificates from Sectigo that includes wildcard, multi-domain, DV, OV, and EV certificates. From that bundle, we can issue, revoke, renew, or re-issue certificates on demand and have them released and available to us in a matter of minutes. In the past, that same process could take about 4–10 days because we had to create a purchase order, submit it, get it approved by our finance team, and then submit it to Sectigo and wait for them to validate our request and issue the certificate. SCM streamlines that process tremendously.

We’ve also found we can benefit from significant cost savings by purchasing bundles of certificates ahead of time via SCM. Overall, it’s more cost-advantageous for us to purchase certificates from Sectigo and use SCM than it would be to buy certificates à la carte from another reputable certificate authority.

  ### 8. Automated Certificate Management with Responsive, Agile Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter H. | IT-Operation Tech, Security Champion, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The biggest advantage of SCM and Sectigo overall is the fully automated certificate management process. Both the customer support team and our assigned TAM are responsive, agile, and easy to work with. We use SCM weekly to implement new automated certificates as well as to revoke certificates that are no longer needed. The SCM interface is intuitive, clean, and free from unnecessary buttons or features, making it straightforward for customers to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I ran into an issue once with IIS certificates for Episerver integration. The error was troublesome, but the Sectigo team was very helpful, and we were able to resolve it quickly.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The upcoming 47-day expiry standard in 2029 is something we needed to address. Since we have over 150 active public certificates, the workload for the certificate team would become massive without automation. Sectigo helps us solve this issue.

  ### 9. Affordable but Frustratingly Slow Process

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charles Z. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I like the pricing of Sectigo Certificate Manager; they are cheap. The pricing is competitive compared to other EV Code Signing providers, which is important when you are a startup watching costs. The core signing functionality works fine when you have the certificate in hand. The product itself does what it needs to do.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The approval and verification process is painfully slow. Our order took over a month to process and is still processing despite submitting address verification at least five times, including a formal legal opinion letter from our legal team. We were stuck on location verification even though our previous certificate was issued without issues. Support was unresponsive to escalation. If you need a certificate issued on any kind of timeline, be aware that the approval process may take weeks, if not months longer than expected. The initial setup for the signing tool itself was straightforward. However, the certificate issuance and approval process was extremely difficult, and it took over a month and multiple rounds of address verification before we could even begin using the certificate.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sectigo Certificate Manager for EV Code Signing, which helps me sign software binaries for validation. The competitive pricing is beneficial for startups watching costs. The core signing functionality works fine when the certificate is in hand.

  ### 10. Clear Certificate Visibility, but 2025 Chain Changes Impacted Compatibility

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager provided strong visibility into our certificate inventory and expiration timelines. The dashboard made it easy to see what was deployed, what was expiring, and what needed attention. The automated email notifications for upcoming expirations were reliable and helped reduce the risk of missed renewals. In 2024, renewals were straightforward and easy to process, and overall lifecycle tracking was simple to manage from an operational standpoint.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

In 2025, changes to Sectigo’s certificate structure and chain configuration created compatibility issues within our environment. Several servers were not recognizing the correct certificate chains, which led to service disruptions and required significant troubleshooting. The transition was not seamless for existing environments, and the impact on production systems made continued use difficult. Greater transparency around upcoming certificate chain changes and clearer migration guidance would have helped reduce operational risk.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo helped centralize certificate lifecycle management and reduced the risk of unexpected expirations. It eliminated manual spreadsheet tracking and provided automated renewal reminders, which improved operational awareness. The visibility into certificate status and expiration dates was especially helpful for maintaining compliance and planning renewals ahead of time.

However, when compatibility issues emerged in 2025, the risk to uptime outweighed the management benefits, which ultimately required us to transition to another solution better aligned with our infrastructure requirements.

  ### 11. Effortless Certificate Management with Top-Tier Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Conor O. | Director

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I find the Sectigo Certificate Manager's dashboard very usable, and their communications are clear, concise, and useful. Anytime action is needed, there are clear instructions to go to the dashboard to fix, renew, extend, certify, validate certificates, etc. The team communicated with us clearly during setup and provided hands-on support, which I didn't expect from real people instead of machines. They helped steer us in the correct direction to use the products we actually needed rather than selling things we didn't need.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

It's not really a major concern with Sectigo Certificate Manager, but keeping up with all the regulatory changes is tough. It would be nice to have a summary of all these major changes. But again, that's more of an industry standard issue rather than something specific to Sectigo.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sectigo Certificate Manager for generating signed, recognizable certificates for enterprise applications, providing better certificates than AWS for our particular needs.

  ### 12. Sectigo Makes Certificate Management Easy with Helpful Expiration Reminders

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivo M. | Data Platform Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Sectigo makes the process of generating and managing certificates very easy. The expiration reminders, along with the email that includes a link to download the certificate directly, are very helpful. I manage the SSL certificates for all three websites under my responsibility, and this setup makes it much easier to stay on top of renewals and keep everything organized.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The person who generated the certificate has left the company. I received an expiration reminder email, but I wasn’t able to download the certificate because I’m not listed as the certificate owner.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Sectigo, we generated certificates manually by typing OpenSSL commands in the terminal. With Sectigo, we can get a certificate that’s ready to use much more easily.

  ### 13. S/MIME Certificate Configurations Are ok, but the Overall Experience Falls Short

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

In our case, we use the S/MIME certificate, and we appreciate the various configurations that can be set up.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Our setup is based on SCEP with configuration in Intune, and it has caused us problems from the very beginning. Certificates often didn’t deploy correctly to our devices, and because there was only one certificate per device, we had to revoke and reissue it just to get things working again.

The biggest issue, though, was support. The configuration they suggested simply didn’t work in our environment, and we ended up having to resolve it ourselves. Over the course of the year, we ran into several additional issues that were repeatedly tied back to support, and again we were the ones who had to find the solutions. On top of that, since support was based in Italy, the time difference made it difficult to get timely resolutions.

We currently have a standing configuration which is manual and not at all automatic as required

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had to fix the automatic S/MIME deployment on devices, because previously we were using a very manual process that relied on user interaction.

  ### 14. Intuitive and Centralized Management of Certificates

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Estid M.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I like that Sectigo Certificate Manager is an intuitive platform, where the information about the certificates and their costs is clear. Additionally, it allows the issuance of different types of certificates such as SSL, Code Signing, device, and even branded certificates. Their issuance is easy, whether you have the Request (CSR) or it is generated directly by Sectigo. This is very valuable to me because we use SSL type certificates where there are Instant SSL and Wildcard type certificates.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I would like to have greater clarity on how to implement automations and/or use the API that Sectigo can offer. I am referring to having a platform where, in addition to instructions, there are reference videos for the implementation of the automations that Sectigo offers.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager provides a centralized platform to manage the lifecycle of public certificates, which is intuitive and facilitates the issuance of certificates such as SSL, code signing, and more.

  ### 15. Exceptional Support and Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhirendra Prasad S. | Sr Platform Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I have had an excellent experience with Sectigo Certificate Manager, especially with its ability to improve certificate issuance and retrieval through Venafi integration. The proactive support from the Sectigo team really stood out as they organized a joint conference call with our team and the Venafi team to deeply understand issues rather than offering generic workarounds. I appreciate Sectigo's collaborative approach, technical expertise, and willingness to work across vendors to deliver practical and effective solutions. Their collaborative efforts led to a significant positive impact, making certificate issuance faster and more predictable. I also find Sectigo Certificate Manager to be a robust, automation-friendly certificate lifecycle management solution backed by a responsive and knowledgeable support team, and I highly recommend it to organizations.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The Sectigo driver used by Venafi had an issue with the default retry time being set to 30 seconds. This caused Venafi to wait 30 seconds to retrieve the certificate even though the certificate is issued immediately.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sectigo Certificate Manager to improve certificate issuance and retrieval with Venafi integration. It reduces delays and enhances automation by aligning with our API-driven workflows, thanks to the supportive and collaborative Sectigo team.

  ### 16. Saving me time and making my job easier.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike D. | Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The ease of use is excellent. I can either use a CSR I’ve already generated or have it create one for me. It can also renew certificates automatically. This will be a key part of our automation initiative this year.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

My only issue so far is with the usage page, mainly because I migrated from another CA earlier this year. I’ve been assured that the page will be easier to use once we renew and have all of our certificates under the Sectigo CA root.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has already sped up the issuance and renewal of certificates, and will only get better when we have automation fully implemented.

  ### 17. Centralized, Scalable Certificate Lifecycle Management with Strong Compliance Reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager centralizes certificate lifecycle management—discovery, issuance, automated renewal (ACME/APIs), and revocation—from one console. It reduces expiration risk with inventory scanning, enforces policies and RBAC, supports HSM/key protection, and integrates with CI/CD, cloud and network devices. Strong reporting and audit trails aid compliance. It scales across on‑prem, cloud, or hybrid deployments for enterprise needs.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Steep cost and licensing complexity for enterprises; initial deployment and migration can be time‑consuming. The UI and workflows feel clunky to some users, with a learning curve for admins. Integrations sometimes require custom work or have limited documentation; troubleshooting/support responsiveness varies. Advanced customization or unique PKI needs may hit platform limits, risking vendor lock‑in. Scaling large estates can expose performance/configuration challenges if not carefully planned.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo solves certificate sprawl, missed expirations, manual issuance, inconsistent policies, and weak key protection by providing centralized discovery, inventory, policy enforcement, automated issuance/renewal (ACME/APIs), and HSM support. Benefits include fewer outages and security incidents, faster provisioning, consistent compliance and audit trails, reduced operational overhead, and smoother DevOps/cloud integrations—freeing your team to focus on higher‑value security and reliability work.

  ### 18. Time-Saver with Easy UI, Needs Faster Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ranjeet Singh N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I really like Sectigo Certificate Manager because it saves me a lot of time with certificate renewals due to its easy UI and the email notifications that provide certificate download links in various formats. The simple UI is great because it allows users to easily navigate without going through a list of steps to complete a task. I find the auto-cert renewal feature very useful, especially since it can be easily set up with F5/servers. This feature will be particularly beneficial when the certificate lifespan is reduced next year.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Support from Sectigo is a bit slow compared to other CAs I've worked with previously. Prompt support to users and some details on the required fields while creating a cert would be helpful, especially for new users. Setup was easy because we did it ourselves since we didn't get the expected support from Sectigo during the migration.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sectigo Certificate Manager saves me a lot of time with creating and renewing certificates thanks to its easy UI and email notifications. The auto-cert renewal feature will be very useful as certificate lifespan decreases. It simplifies the process with direct email links for certificate downloads in all formats.

  ### 19. Centralized, Intuitive Certificate Management That Saves Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

What I like most about Sectigo Certificate Manager is the way it centralizes certificate management while still keeping everything easy to manage day to day. The interface feels intuitive, renewal tracking is clear and straightforward, and the automation features reduce manual effort and the risk of mistakes. It's easier to integrate and implement for activity like certificate creation, domain validation, monitoring and other features, which we use on daily basis.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I don’t have any cons to mention about SCM. However, if I had to point out an area for improvement, it would be customer support—specifically, having fewer layers in between so it’s easier to reach the right person and get help faster.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us generate certificates for our microservices, which use hundreds of domains to expose services securely. It also supports smooth certificate creation, validation, and monitoring, with timeline reminders in case of issues or changes.

  ### 20. Great Features, But Lacks Customization Control

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor R. | Mail Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The website is very fast, supports SSO, and offers a wide range of customization options. The support team is efficient; on one occasion, I called in with a critical issue and received a solution almost immediately. The network agents that can manage certificate lifecycles are also a standout feature.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I wish there were an option to control the session timeout. Additionally, when editing notification templates, it's not possible to test them immediately—you have to trigger an actual event to see how the notification appears, which I find inconvenient. Some alerts could also be clearer. For instance, when an agent disconnects, the message states that it disconnected long ago or was marked as inactive, even though the agent is considered offline after just seven minutes. This can easily happen due to server or network maintenance. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to adjust this timeout, and I hope Sectigo will consider adding this feature.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Certificate Manager assists us in managing the certificate lifecycle, which is particularly helpful as certificate lifetimes begin to decrease.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

As of now, we are satisfied with the product

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the risk of expired certificates and the mess of tracking them manually. Before, we were juggling spreadsheets and reminders. Now everything is centralized with automated renewals and alerts, which saves time and prevents outages. It’s made certificate management much more predictable and less stressful.

  ### 22. Effortless Certificate Management with Powerful Automation and Seamless Onboarding

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashwin G. | Security Engineer II, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

1. Strong automation and lifecycle management

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I like the simplicity of use of Sectigo Certificate Manager and its web portal with a clear interface. I can manage it quickly with a few clicks, and the functionality to create templates and portals to generate certificates with such templates is very useful. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy for me.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I don't like having to pay for specific modules for integration with Azure Keyvaults or the ACME protocol, which is an industry standard and should come included as standard. This is essential for automation.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sectigo Certificate Manager to centralize and uniformly manage all TLS/HTTPS certificates with templates. Its simplicity and clear web portal allow for quick management with a few clicks, and the creation of templates facilitates the certificate issuance process.

  ### 27. Speedy and Reliable SSL Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul F. | Platform Operations Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

I really appreciate the speed and reliability of certificate purchases and renewals with Sectigo Certificate Manager. The DCV process is much easier now, thanks to the option of validating domains through DNS CNAME records. Our business manages a high volume of certificates, so having a quick and efficient service for SSL renewals before expiry is crucial.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The UI/UX is a little outdated. The login screen is very old in its design, and the branding of our logo could also be updated as it is out of date and misaligned.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sectigo Certificate Manager for SSL purchases and renewals. The DCV process is easier with DNS CNAME validations. Its speed and reliability are crucial for managing our high certificate volume efficiently before expiry.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan V. | Senior Engineer - Certificate Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Sectigo Cert Manager is easy to use and straight forward. The main functions I use are the Organisation (OV/EV) and Domain validation and this can all be completed without having to call a service desk.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

Domain validation for a large number domains is time consuming as it can't seem to handle initiating validation for more than 10 domains at the time. At times the DNS lookups for Domain Control Validation is inconsistent requiring multiple retries.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We consume large numbers of public TLS certificates so a single console with all registered Organisations and Domains is essential for smooth, uninterrupted certificate issuance.

Easy to navigate with a clean, intuitive interface. The platform is fast, and the alerting is excellent, making it easy to stay on top of certificate expirations.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

If I had to list something, it would be that the initial setup/advanced settings aren’t immediately obvious.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Sectigo Certificate Manager, certificates may be tracked in spreadsheets or siloed systems with limited oversight. The platform automatically discovers and inventories certificates across your network, so nothing is overlooked.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Sectigo Certificate Manager simplifies cert management and speeds up renewals, though the GUI is slow during the renewal details entry.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The setup of certificate users along with enrollment and revocation of certificates is simple and fairly intuitive. It allows for a single pane of glass to see who has certificates, what ones they've had in the past, and when the expiration will take place.

**What do you dislike about Sectigo Certificate Manager?**

The actual enrollment process on the use end is not as intuitive, at least in my experience with the personnel who have been receiving certificates. There was a change in default configurations that created a new field in the enrollment form that causes some issues with our procedures until we were able to iron out the issues with support over the course of a week or so.

**What problems is Sectigo Certificate Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Management of certificates used for package signing.
