I like that Searchanise has made the complicated configurations of search and filtering easier, which saves us time and energy and lets us focus on other areas. They have never said no to any development request. One thing that still needs improvement is quicker updates, because sometimes even minor changes take 2–3 days to get done. I really like that Searchanise works out of the box and provides plenty of features to customize. It's very easy to integrate; you just install the plugin, and it works without any extra hassle. I can add merchandising rules and synonyms to set it up the way I want. The self-learning algorithms are great, making it easy for customers to find products even if they don't have the exact name. Initially, they had a pretty good offering with a good price point, but it seems like they've increased the prices by a lot. For someone with a few thousand products, that price point becomes really difficult. The price point is on the higher end, and they should consider reducing it. Also, the sync has a bit of a problem sometimes. Variations don't sync really well with the backend server immediately. Although the speed looks to be very quick, other search competition software boast they are faster. I'm yet to see this difference physically, so I need to verify the app loading dependancy compared to the competition but if it isn't visibly slow, then it could be difficult to measure before weighing up the benefits.
