**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oksana K.

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like that Scribe saves me time. Everything works great, and I found the initial setup to be easy.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Sometimes, maybe 'click here' is too generic.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Scribe for QA tests scripting, and it helps extract only steps without screenshot links, saving me time.

 ### 2. Create How to Guides With Ease

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Toni M. | Curriculum & Instruction Consultant for Social Studies, Education Management, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

The automatic pictures and directions that pop up when you click. The ease of editing pictures, and I love the add a tip feature.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I have not encountered any features within Scribe that I dislike.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create straightforward tutorials for staff members, focusing on the digital tools we use to handle professional development and evaluations. My goal is to make these resources easy to understand and accessible for everyone involved.

 ### 3. New CSM for a SaaS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheila P. | Customer Success Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like the ease of use. While I can go through a process I can capture so much of what I am doing and I can easily edit steps. It is something I use every day.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The one draw back I have it there are times I want to really zoom in on a file to make sure the capture is legible. There are times when it reverts back so I have to check it a couple of times prior to publishing the material.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using scribe to create job aides and training materials.

 ### 4. Actions teach louder than words

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teddy P. | VP of Client Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

As a player-coach (someone who manages and contributes individually) who likes to lead by example, Scribe allows me to show my Revenue teams that they should "Do as I do, not as I say."

Scribe makes it super simple to capture every step of each process, organize them into a cohesive SOP, and then modify the procedures in the event of any changes to them.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

My journey with Scribe is less than 2 weeks old. I have not used it enough to be able to criticize it's downsides just yet.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My companies business procedures change very frequently and the changes need to be implemented very fast. I needed a solution to document and communicate all of the processes faster than the current solution (Notion).

 ### 5. Great for Editing, but Adding Missed Steps Could Be Easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Easy to use and edit. I love that it is easy to integrate into Confluence. I also love the "guide me" feature for users

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I wish it were easier to add in a missed step. If I want a different screenshot added, I just have to take it myself using the snipping tool, and then I lose the mouse locator icon.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a part of the company's learning and development team. i use it all the time to post step-by-step instructions of how to access things on different programs or teach them how to use tools and features.

 ### 6. 10/10 - No Notes!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jamie W. | Assistant Director of Early College & AP4ME, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is the easiest tool I have ever used for process documentation and information sharing. Lengthy and super detailed process doc creation is no longer the bane of my professional existence and for that I am super grateful!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

What on earth am I going to do with all this extra time now that it doesn't take me half a day to create a single process doc?!

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Standard format for process docs is huge, but being able to link the Scribe in existing resources AND export instructions to a PDF (Scribe Pro) is amazing.

 ### 7. Top Tool for Saving Time on SOPs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Agustin B. | HR & Recruitment Consultant | Compliance and Process, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe’s been a real game-changer for our team. It’s made putting together SOPs quick and easy, helping us save heaps of time. The way it captures step-by-step processes automatically has really helped us standardise how we do things and keep everything consistent across the board. Would definitely recommend it to any team keen on working smarter.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Sometimes the automatic formatting or layout might need manual tweaking to suit your branding or documentation style.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe is helping us solve the time-consuming and inconsistent process of creating SOPs and documenting workflows. Instead of manually writing out steps, we can now generate clear, standardised guides in minutes. This has saved our team a lot of time, reduced errors, and made onboarding new staff much smoother. It also ensures that everyone follows the same procedures, which improves overall efficiency and consistency across the board.

 ### 8. I Use Scribe Everyday for It's Ease of Use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel W. | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is truly the best software I have found for creating simple walkthroughs for my clients. I used to spend hours screenshotting steps and putting them together in some kind of word document to send to my clients. With Scribe, I spend a few minutes on a walkthrough because the software does everything for me. It was very easy to learn and overall saves me a lot of time each work day.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I truly can't think of a single downside to using Scribe. I have recommended it to many people. I wouldn't recommend a product/software to a friend if I wasn't certain that it's good.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I create walkthrough articles for my companies clients on a daily basis. There are many ways to create these walkthroughs, but most are very time consuming. I needed to be able to create a walkthrough article without spending hours on it. With Scribe, I am able to create quality walkthroughs that are simple to follow in a matter of minutes.

 ### 9. So easy and looks great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meghan B. | Executive Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Any time I need to share how to do something with a colleague, or create a new SOP guide, Scribe makes it fast and simple to create, edit, and send. The editing options are many and it's easy to find what I need.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I haven't yet found a downside to using Scribe

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a mostly remote executive admin at a busy agency, I regularly need to show people how to do something without being at their desk. Scribe allows me to simply DO the process once, combine or edit any steps to make it more relevant for the recipient, and link them to their solution without spending the time on a call screensharing or walking them through. I also roll out new procedures and platforms to the staff, so having a written guide with screenshots mimicing their experience gives (and me) peace of mind. I save so much time!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I honestly can't find anything to dislike about Scribe.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Many of our company’s processes were undocumented, which resulted in a significant amount of time being wasted on repeatedly training staff to use our tools and systems. Scribe made it quick and easy for us to create user guides, saving us considerable time and simplifying the training process for our staff.

**Reviewed by:** Sarah W. | Department Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I like that Scribe does a great job of capturing each step of the process and allows me to annotate the screen shots with extra details on complex processes. I have a team of 8, and trying to train each individually, or create new manuals is much easier with Scribe!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I wish that in addition to the Scribe step by step process, it would be nice if it would record a live video similar to Zoom Clips.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Establishing a clear process which can be referenced by new team members, and current as a refresher.

 ### 14. Very easy to use—and a real time-saver!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judit L. | Strategic Partner Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Thanks to Scribe, I was able to quickly and easily create a step-by-step guide on how to use one of our products. What would have taken much longer manually was done in minutes — it's a huge time-saver and incredibly user-friendly. I definitely recommend the premium version, as it also allows you to invite team members to collaborate on the same project and download the guide in different formats.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

At this moment, there isn’t anything I particularly dislike. Everything has been running smoothly, and my experience so far has been positive. Of course, I understand that no system is perfect, and I’ll continue to observe with an open mind. If any challenges or areas for improvement arise in the future, I’ll be sure to reflect on them constructively.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

had to create a step-by-step guide with hundreds of steps. This would have taken me over 50 hours manually, but with Scribe, I was able to do it extremely quickly — and with very high quality. The team loved it!

 ### 15. Scribe is an invaluable asset for our business!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christi A. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I find Scribe most helpful for anything. It easily integrates with any software application I'm using. It even helps with our "insurance specialty" software applications. Scribe is something I use at least 10-15 times a day. You can ask it anything. When I'm in a jam and I'm unable to describe what I'm seeing, a screenshot dropped in the chat helps significantly. Scribe's customer service is also second to none.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

There has not been a downside to using scribe so far. It integrates with all our software smoothly.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe is solving the need for a full time IT tech. I was never a tech person and scribe has allowed me to solve even complex IT issues. I was training as a new employee with very little time to learn new systems and processes. Scribe made it super easy. It's almost like my trainer is still sitting with me in the office.

 ### 16. Makes documentation much easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob S. | eBusiness & Partner Activation Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

easy to use. onboard and do your first scribe in minutes.
transcription of narration
ability to edit/combine steps for convenience
ability to edit the transcription (you seldom say exactly what you want)
screen captures
integration with other systems/export

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

still learning our way around, but nothing yet.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to make it easier to create documentation and help material so it actually gets done, and when we carve out the time, we can get more of it done. Videos are great for a walk through of something simple, but longer for reference material that works better with our AI needs easily scannable steps. We took a process that used to take 30 minutes down to 5 minutes. Initial feedback from the team is that because it is easier, they will do more of it. Rather than "it's just easier to do it myself" martyrs, they now have a way to hand off tasks and share knowledge.

 ### 17. Scribe Saves our Team SO MUCH TIME!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zacharias W. | Capital Campaign Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2025

"How do I check my website's analytics" Check out the Scribe we made for you.

I could go on and on about how helpful and time-saving this tool is. Kudos to the Scribe development team.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

No complaints about the actual functionality of the software. I simply wish they had some in-between pricing structures that complimented small teams.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing clients with detailed guides to answer their questions.

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I haven't encountered any negative experiences with Scribe that would make me dislike it.

 ### 20. Tutorials made easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is essentially my shadow while I complete a task and that makes for the best tutorials. I don't have to capture screenshots myself which can take hours to complete one business process guide that way. Scribe has streamlined productivity flawlessly. I was amazed at how well it integrated with my browser and how easy it was to use.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I do wish Scribe had a little more user intelligence as there are sometimes several steps that were needlessly caught that I need to go through and delete from the end result.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe is allowing me to quickly put together tutorials for my large university department. Rather than explain to someone how to do something, I can make a scribe quickly that will allow for better instruction.

 ### 21. Transforming Workflow Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nazrul H. | Senior Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe has been a game-changer for creating user instructions, transforming a once-tedious process of capturing screenshots and writing narratives into a seamless, automated breeze. This brilliant tool saves me hours by instantly generating polished, step-by-step guides, freeing me to focus on more impactful tasks. Its intuitive design and reliable output not only boost my productivity but also elevate the quality of my work—making Scribe an indispensable asset I can’t recommend enough!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Nothing. Genuinely a really good tool. Please don't change anything!

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe is solving the time-consuming and cumbersome problem of manually creating user instructions, which used to involve taking screenshots, organizing them, and writing detailed narratives—a process that was both slow and prone to errors. By automating this workflow, Scribe captures my screen activity and instantly generates clear, professional guides with minimal effort on my part. This benefits me by saving hours of repetitive work, boosting my productivity, and allowing me to redirect that time toward more valuable tasks, like strategic projects or creative pursuits, while delivering high-quality instructions faster and more consistently.

 ### 22. Such a Time Saver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rebecca D. | Office Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Being able to record step by step rather than having to record a long video to get the same result.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I don't really have any downsides, I am happy with all the features I use.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Once initially showing team members how to complete a task I can send them the link to my scribe to refer back to for future use. They can skip through the steps they are confident with and only refer to the steps they are unsure of as well which is a great addition.

 ### 23. Scribe is a game-changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mikee M. | Project Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I’ve been using Scribe to capture workflows and document step-by-step processes, and it’s been an absolute lifesaver. Instead of manually writing instructions or taking tons of screenshots, I just run Scribe and it does everything for me—automatically generating clear, easy-to-follow guides in minutes.

It’s incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. The editing features are great too—I can customize steps, blur sensitive info, and even add branding when needed. It’s perfect for training, onboarding, and building internal knowledge bases.

Highly recommend it to teams looking to save time and improve documentation quality!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The styling options for exported guides are a bit limited. If you want to match a specific brand format or design standard, customization can be challenging.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the way I create step-by-step guides and documentation. Instead of spending hours taking screenshots and writing instructions manually, I can now capture a process in real-time

 ### 24. Effortless Tutorial Creation That Saves Time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I love that Scribe records me doing the process and makes the tutorial at the same time. Then all I have to do is go in and add additional details and context for my employees.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

With the free version, you don't have the ability to add steps you might have missed, or that have changed, since you first created the tutorial.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's allowing me to create SOPs in a fraction of the time I used to.

 ### 25. Use Scribe save time.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam Y. | Learning Technologist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

As a Learning Technologist I make guides fairly regularly and Scribe has cut down on the time this takes. As well I've been able to replace the quick meeting going through a process with a Scribe I can put together in minutes, that Scribe I'm then able to send again in the future or edit for a different purpose.

Once you've installed the browser plugin it's incredibly easy to use, and their are lots of ways to edit the finished product. Much easier than pasting screenshots into a word document, Scribe takes screenshots and suggested text whilst you go through the process. It's also possible to embed Scribe as a video with no need to record your own voice.

Super easy to install and the ability to easily edit the Scribes after publishing is a huge plus.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Would be nice to have a screenshot without clicking function. It's easy enough to edit out the cursor marker but it can take up more time than necessary.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my role I create a lot of user guides and run drop in sessions with staff and students. Using Scribe I'm able to create these guides in Minutes, as well staff will contact me asking for a quick guide on how to do X, with Scribe I'm able to create that guide in minutes and avoid unnecessary meetings.

Have not needed to ask for support so far.

 ### 26. Productivity Booster and Life Saver

I love that you can work through the process you want to document quickly, and that instructions are automatically populated for you. This saves so much time over stopping at each step to screen shot and describe what you are doing.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Sometimes the instructions it creates aren't accurate- or need to be edited but that is fine. Its still an overall time saver.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

What we like best about Scribe is how effortlessly it turns any workflow into a polished, shareable guide—complete with screenshots, captions, and step-by-step instructions—without slowing you down. It’s fast, intuitive, and makes process documentation feel almost effortless.

Instead of manually writing out steps, taking screenshots, and formatting everything, it captures what we’re doing on-screen and instantly turns it into a clear, professional-looking guide. **Reviewed by:** JOHN KEVIN P. | Accoutant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

What I like the most is that it has AI assistance in automatically cropping and highlighting the specific tab I am working on. Instead of just plainly capturing the whole desktop screen, it helps me focus the notes on the specific tab that I want to discuss and work on. Also, incase it misses the specific part of the screen, you can adjust, move, and crop the image instead for your particular needs.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

While I appreciate the voice transcription, unfortunately, it is not yet effective in capturing words and transcribing them in a proper format. Hence, I sometimes end up just typing the instructions instead. And also, it does not capture the voice of another person if you want to scribe a particular call. It would need to be run in the working laptop of the speaker.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So our business is adopting to the merger of departments from different branch. The head branch wants to standardize the work process for the accounting team, and also to have an aid in onboarding future members of the team. Scribe was such a great help in setting up the compiled instructions and with screenshots to improve knowledge retention of users. Also, people can just check the applicable files for their queries, instead of spending time for repeating inquiries.

**Reviewed by:** James H. | Front end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I appreciate how much time it saves me. Since I juggle many roles at work, Scribe helps lighten the load when it comes to support tasks.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The options for sharing and moving items to a team are not very intuitive.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps explain complex tasks to our end users.

 ### 31. Deserves an 11. Love this product!

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

The ease of use for Scribe is amazing. Being able to capture screenshots while in my workflow has saved me so much time. It's easy for our team to share the files with each other. Game changer!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

There is nothing I don't like about Scribe.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used to show the steps in different processes for training purposes.

 ### 32. I use to take scren shots and edit them in paint or word

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casondra Marie B. | General Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Now when someome askes me how to do something I send them the link or create a new set of instructions then if its asked agian i just have to tell them to look at the instruction vs telling them again.
In terms of how the process works, I like how it highlihgts the areas on the screen, and keeps track of keybord stokes ie "Control" ,"Alt", "C" so i don't have to type that in.
Also my IT person condonoes the use of it.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Some of the steps my process are redundent, and I would liek tohavea beter way of removing soem of the steps.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scriber reduces the amount of time i spend explaining , and offers a back up when the learder is not reachable.

 ### 33. Productivity

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is an excellent productivity tool for those who need to create step-by-step guides, SOPs, or training documentation efficiently. Its greatest advantage is the way it effortlessly records your workflow as you go, automatically producing screenshots along with captions. This feature significantly cuts down the time required compared to documenting procedures manually.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Sometimes, it captures extra steps that aren't needed, so I find that a quick cleanup is occasionally necessary.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Previously, creating step-by-step guides or SOPs by hand would take me hours. Now, with Scribe, my processes are documented automatically as I complete each task.

 ### 34. Scribe has been a gamechanger for company operations!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin M. | Designated Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe has been extremely beneficial in getting all our employees to operate the same way. For years, I have come up with ideas on the way I want employees to do certain operations, but the only way to do that was to take a long time taking screenshots and creating an explanation from scratch. Scribe takes all that time away because all I need to do is start the capture, perform the task, then make any quick edits to ensure it is what I want to be said, and then it is done. Most scribes take abut 15 minutes to complete. Which is much shorter than the 4-5 hours it used to take me. We will be using this for new hires as well to make sure they learn it the right way first.

I have only started using scribe about 1 month ago. But it was so easy to implement that I have already created about 15 different scribes. It has been extremely easy to integrate into our current system of work. I plan on creating at least 1 scribe per week to continue to get everything going in the right direction with our staff. I have not had a need to reach out to customer support yet, but I am confident that if I needed to, they would get back to me in a timely manner.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The only downside could be the cost for more users. I do not see much need for other employees to create scribes at this time, but if I did, it would need to be worth it to add the cost of the extra uses for the team.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe is helping me explain daily tasks to employees to make sure they are getting the job done the way we want them to.

 ### 35. Scribe is such a time saver!!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crystal J. | Director of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is so easy to use! We are implementing a new AP software and I have been able to quickly create how to guides for the new users. The guides are extremely easy to create and the end users have express how easy they are to follow.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I really like everything about Scribe! The only thing I wish they would offer, is an option to set up different teams within one account.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe saves so much time in creating step by step guides and eliminates then need to take individual screenshots.

 ### 36. Fast way to document workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lacey H. | Quality Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

The best part about Scribe is its robust ability to edit and annotate screen captures, which makes it a powerful tool for creating detailed and easy-to-understand guides, tutorials, or documentation. When you capture a screenshot or screen recording, Scribe allows you to add text annotations, arrows, shapes, and other visual elements to highlight key information. This means you can visually guide users step-by-step, making complex processes clearer and more engaging.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Scribe records every interaction you have on the screen, including unnecessary clicks, mouse movements, or moments where nothing significant is happening. For instance, if you’re navigating between windows or waiting for something to load, Scribe will capture all those “dead” moments. These irrelevant steps can make the tutorial unnecessarily long and requires more editing. I wish there was a way to pause the capture and restart.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Training new employees or upskilling existing staff can be time-consuming and costly, especially when there’s no structured, easy-to-follow training material. Scribe’s ability to create visual process guides enables quicker training, reducing the time it takes for employees to get up to speed.

 ### 37. Fantastic tool for creating easy guides

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Borna . | Customer Success Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

We use it to create quick guides for our software for our customers. It is effortless to use it and I am hooked. Basically, we are able to create our Knowledgebase on the go. I am using it everyday and it saved me days in the past year and a half.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I don't have anything bad to say; I enjoy using the tool.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It create efforless guides just by going through the screens while creating a title for everyone and even the option to edit the screen to capture the essence of the next step.

 ### 38. Scribe is an amazing, Easy to use, program.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Renewables & Environment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is very easy to use. It makes very clear and easy to follow instructions.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I have just started using Scribe so have not really run into any issues yet. I am still learning how to navigate in it so I am a little slow, but that is just the learning curve.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving time when typing up instructions sheets. I do not have to do ScreenShots and copy and paste them.

 ### 39. Works better than other programs I have tried

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felicia S. | Operational Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I have enjoyed how quickly I can access the documents I have created. The ability to changes information as I create the document is nice and being to pause.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I wish it would let me pause a recording, to continue onto another browser and pick up where I paused at or add video in the middle of another video.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating video for training and onboarding staff through Trainual

 ### 40. Knowledge sharing made simple

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is very useful and powerful tool to share knowledge between colleagues.

We use scribe to help build tech documents on system usage and how to perform routine tasks. It's so intuitive and the plugin with chrome makes it really seamless when starting and stopping each screen-capture.

The AI picks up what you're doing as a user and automatically populates the details for each stage.

It takes seconds to create a guide and share it.

It's a cost-effective solution given the time it saves us.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The redacting feature is very useful when used manually, but the auto-detect feature isn't always completely accurate. Just a consideration when it comes to data that needs to be removed. Takes a little extra time to tweak after.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to build knowledge base of system usage and routine tasks

 ### 41. Scribe is a great tool for documentation and/or training

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon R. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

The screen capture is extremely useful when paired with the voice dictation. I can create easy-to-follow guides for training and/or documentation.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The voice dictation could use some work. I have found that I usually have to go in and edit most of the text manually.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now, I'm going through a major edit of my company's website. I'm able to screen capture the various pages on our site and make notes along with those caps. I've also used it help create some training documents for our sales team.

 ### 42. Excellent, easy to use tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah H. | Coop Claims Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I love how easy it is to edit a scribe once I've created it. I am able to crop, redact and markup the photo as needed to bring attention to a certain part of the photo I'm using as an example. I also love the voice transcription feature to help save time from me typing out the instructions. Additionally, I love the "guide me" feature that helps guide the user through any scribe tutorial.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

My only suggestion at this point for improvement would be to allow me to view the feedback comments left on my video while I'm in the "editing" section. This would allow me to read the feedback comments as I'm editing to make adjustments/improvements.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am currently making SOP's for my workplace and Scribe is very beneficial in helping to capture screenshots and give instructions in a very easy-to-use tool.

 ### 43. Effortless SOP Management with User-Friendly Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan D. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Easy to use and has everyone following the same style of SOPs

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Needs spell check embedded. I've looked silly a few times.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating SOP's and uniformity in doing so.

 ### 44. So convenient and saves time!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily M. | Talent Acquisition Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I love that Scribe has a browser extension so I can quickly capture clicks, screenshots, etc. while performing my usual tasks. The additional effort to adjust, edit, redact, etc. is minimal compared to the usual effort of creating an SOP manually. With one of our crucial team members transitioning out soon, I have used it almost daily during training to ensure that all our processes are documented before she departs.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The process of moving steps can sometimes be a little clunky, especially moving the order of steps. There is only a button to send a step all the way to the top or all the way to the bottom, not to bump it up or down one at a time. The click and drag function is not very smooth and ends up taking a long time.
I also would like to be able to delete or edit steps in real time while creating the SOP.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team is very small and previously only one person was using any of our processes, and none of them were documented. With that team member retiring soon, we are using Scribe to capture all of the processes, and also to keep them updated as we change and improve them to accommodate changes on our team.

 ### 45. Helps me train the newbies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David G. | Sales Manager DC/DE/MD/NJ/PA/VA, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

The Scribe service has been a game-changer for me when it comes to onboarding new salespeople. Instead of having to walk each new rep through our quoting system, CRM, or job tracking tools over and over again, I just record the process once with Scribe. It automatically turns my steps into clean, easy-to-follow guides with screenshots and notes. Now, when someone joins the team, I can hand them a library of how-to’s that show exactly how we do things at Fairway. It saves me a ton of time, cuts down on repeat questions, and makes sure everyone’s learning the right way from day one.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

It's a challenge when Its recording the screen and pop ups appear

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Scribe service is a powerful tool that helps streamline the onboarding process for new salespeople by automatically generating step-by-step guides from your existing workflows. Instead of repeatedly walking each new hire through the same systems or processes, you can capture your exact screen actions—like how to enter a lead in the CRM or quote a job—and turn them into easy-to-follow visual instructions. This saves you time, ensures consistency, and gets new team members up to speed faster without missing critical details.

 ### 46. Fast and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Individual & Family Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I really like how easy Scribe is to use. It’s very quick, and I can get what I need done without a lot of extra steps.

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

There isn’t much I dislike so far, but I’d like to see more customization options or additional features to make it even more powerful.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe helps me quickly create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) without spending hours writing step-by-step instructions manually. It saves me a lot of time, keeps my processes clear and consistent, and makes it easy to share guides with my team. This means I can focus more on running the business instead of documenting every small task

 ### 47. I can't believe how easy it is to create complex how to guides with Scribe

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryony H. | Director of Finance And Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Having had a long career in the operations side of various creative sectors, I understand the merit of making dry and complicated information visually exciting - as well as easy peasy.
Scribe can flexibly produce all sorts of step by step guides and extrapolate the core data and images needed.
I have had to painstakingly create wikis and how to's and emails with countless edited screengrabs and data taking up massive swathes of my time. And usually noone reads them without loads of prompting!!

I wish this had been around years ago. Gamechanger!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

Some of the instructions around embedding codes were a bit vague. And I wanted to create lots of different Scribe channels in Teams but not sure the collaboration between them is that slick yet. I am 100% sure that would be a Microsoft issue however.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it so much easier and quicker to throw together workflows to demonstrate something complex. ie I need to create a scribe to show a walkthrough of our whole invoice procedure to a new pm software supplier. to do this manually with Quicktime and/or screengrabs would take forever...

 ### 48. It has made the training of my staff exponentially easier!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle S. | Controller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I love the fact that it inserts screen shots for you with the place to click highlighted. It separates each step, and it gives you the opportunity to edit the description of the step before publishing, so you can get more specific if the situation warrants. Instead of showing someone how to do something and them taking sometimes insufficient notes, I create the scribe and they can do the steps on their time table and get it correct the first time!

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I would really love to be able to record my steps and send my staff a recording of what I did, along with the written scribe.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me so much time because I only have to show people how to do things once, now. I show them, then send the scribe, and that's the end of it!

 ### 49. So Many Uses Beyond How-Tos!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

I love the flexibility of Scribe, specifically:
- The ability to pause in the middle of your capture to make clean-up/finalization a breeze
- The ability to add images (non screen-captured) or add steps AFTER you've already made a Scribe
- The ease with which you can share a Scribe/see if someone has viewed it
- The ease of recording a Scribe, esp using the Chrome extension

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

The only thing I dislike it sometimes it looks like my Scribe captured something at 100% view, but then I get into the Scribe it's zoomed into 150% (or more) and some of the surrounding context is lost.

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- How to guides
- Employee and client onboarding
- UX/UI audits of websites for our clients (e.g., using the hot spot to show different elements of the website that aren't working)

 ### 50. Scribe is Easy to Learn and Very Innovative

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wesley C. | Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Scribe?**

Scribe is very easy to learn and easy to distribute for others to use and view. It gives a lot of customizability and use cases for any type of workspace

**What do you dislike about Scribe?**

I can't think of any downsides for Scribe

**What problems is Scribe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scribe is making it much easier to show off and help people learn how to use newer or updated systems in place to avoid confusion
