Who is ScalePad ControlMap pricing best suited for?

ScalePad ControlMap's pricing is best suited for MSPs and IT service providers, the dominant segment across G2 reviews, particularly those in the Information Technology and Services and Computer and Network Security industries. The MSP Self Compliance tier at $200.00 per month fits smaller MSPs or internal GRC teams pursuing frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST, or CMMC for their own organization. The Compliance-as-a-Service Packages starting at $400.00 per month suit MSPs managing compliance across multiple clients simultaneously. G2 reviewers from small businesses and mid-market firms both report strong fit, with mid-market IT and consulting firms particularly valuing ScalePad ControlMap's multi-client workflow management, crosswalking across 50-plus frameworks, and collaborative client engagement features.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of ScalePad ControlMap?

ScalePad ControlMap does not offer a free tier. According to G2's pricing data for ScalePad ControlMap, the entry point is the MSP Self Compliance plan at $200.00 per month, designed for MSPs managing their own internal compliance, with unlimited frameworks and onboarding support. The Compliance-as-a-Service Packages start at $400.00 per month and are built for MSPs managing compliance across multiple client organizations, scaling with the client roster. Both ScalePad ControlMap tiers carry a one-time $495 activation fee. Enterprise buyers can request custom quotes. G2 reviewers note that the minimum spend was a consideration when deciding how broadly to deploy ScalePad ControlMap across a full client base.

Is ScalePad ControlMap considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers of ScalePad ControlMap consistently rate it highly, with the majority awarding 4.5 to 5 stars, and several explicitly citing competitive pricing as a differentiator. One G2 reviewer directly compared ScalePad ControlMap against FutureFeed, IntelliGRC, and Vanta, concluding it beats competitors on both features and price. Another noted saving hundreds of hours and described audit costs as very reasonable. The $495 one-time activation fee and monthly minimums were flagged by a small number of G2 reviewers as a barrier for rolling out to all clients, but the consensus across ScalePad ControlMap's pricing tiers is strong value relative to the breadth of frameworks, automation, and compliance workflow capabilities delivered.

Response from Brittany McDougall of ScalePad ControlMap

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback, Robert.

It’s great to hear ControlMap has been helping streamline communication between your team, MSPs, and clients while supporting complex frameworks like CMMC and NIST. We’ve worked hard to make the platform both approachable and adaptable, so hearing that the setup was straightforward and the platform delivers strong value compared to other options means a lot.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and for being part of the journey as the platform continues to evolve.

What do you like best about ScalePad ControlMap?

ScalePad ControlMap brings all of our GRC collateral and assessments together in one place. We use it internally to manage our ISO 27001 certification, and we also use it with clients who have GRC requirements and need a stable, robust platform. The assessment tool is an excellent way to collaborate with clients and keep their ownership engaged throughout the process. Being able to assess maturity and build roadmap initiatives from it has been a real game changer for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
