Spirco Manufacturing is running our third Scale cluster. The platform has never required a system restart. When firmware upgrades have been installed there has never been a virtual machine to go offline. VM snapshots are fluid. They only require a few clicks to complete. Cloning is a snap. The Scale Computing customer support is very helpful. Daily intercation has not been required to maintain the cluster. The customer service, support, and products offered are extremely user friendly and straightforward.
Implementing new servers and configuring literally any of their products is ridiculously simple without sacrificing any of the benefits of a more complex setup.

Every once in a while documentation seems a bit difficult to sift through.

Having implemented the cluster and DR node a few years back, it has been ticking away reliably since then! When I have had a question or the odd warning pop up, Customer Support has been top notch. We've had to do 2 drive swaps, on two separate nodes, and both times the drives have arrived fast, with the returns all processed for when we finished.
I've had to show a fellow admin how to do some of the basics and as it was new to him, he found it easy to use, and had his VM up and running in no time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It comes with an great price/performance ratio and uses inexpensive but performant hardware. Scale is easy and intuitive to use. Huge advantage is the scalability which allows use to top up your cluster fast and easy. Also it offers huge compatibility with other appliances. Some features liked a build-in evacuation mode are missing. It offers a powerful API which allows you to use a script for cases like that. Some software producer wont really support Scale as an Hypervisior nevertheless it'll run just fine. Sometimes I wish there would be more settings a can make Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using the Scale Platform for about 8 years, the servers, software and support have been rock solid. Scale Care has been extreamly helpful, even when the issue isn't related to the Scale system itself, they still leverage their expertise to help with things that wouldn't be considered 'their job'. Excellent! The physical machines are relaible and near maintenance free. The hypervisor makes managing the VM's almost too easy. The updates are non disruptive, but I still reccomend doing them after hours when possible. I have no complaints and will easily reccomend and use them in the future. I wish the system was quieter. Our second full cluster is much louder than the first cluster, they are aware and the issue has been resolved going forward. We use some sound proofing material to absorb the sound.
They do not oversell you on the platform, advocate for buying a little more, we have almost ourgrown our space. But this is the advantage of scale, we can add a node and continue on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system is so easy to use. You don't need to reach for the manual everytime you need to do something you haven't done for a while. Its reliable, we've had the same nodes for nearly seven years and only had one hard disk fialure in that time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like more commmunication from them. For example when their is a new firmware release I'd like to be sent a link to the latest manual and/or the release notes. Some short videos on the enhancements would be useful too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use, great customer service, secure snap shots of environments. We use the interface daily. It's packed with easy to use features, and great dashboard experience. With our purchase, Scale also aided in implementing the changeover from VMWare. All of our machines (10) integrated well into the existing architecture found within Scale.
