I really like the professionalism and response time of ScalaHosting when a problem arises. We began working with Scala Hosting nearly a decade ago after experiencing declining service with providers acquired by a large conglomerate. Our priorities were clear: reliable VPS hosting with excellent uptime, servers based in the U.S., and responsive support with effective solutions. Scala delivered on all counts. After giving them a try, we eventually migrated all our client accounts to their platform and have continued adding new ones with confidence. Their consistent performance and outstanding service have been instrumental in helping us grow. I highly recommend Scala Hosting to anyone seeking a dependable and scalable hosting partner.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

There isn't anything that I dislike. Differences between their sPanel and traditional cPanel took a little time to adapt to but it wasn't too hard.

I am a basic server user, so I rely on Scala to provide answers to what would be simple to them.  I imagine tech support has to grit their teeth, but they always answer with patience and professionalism in explaining what needs done, which I appreciate greatly!

**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

I like ScalaHosting because their support team is really responsive and actually tries to solve the problem, not just send links or copy answers. This is really helpful, especially when you are stuck and don't know what to do. I also appreciate that the hosting is stable; my websites don't randomly go offline like before, and I don't need to keep checking it all the time. The initial setup was very easy, and everything works fine with my WordPress plugins for SEO, security, and backup.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

There are a few things that could be better with ScalaHosting. One is their control panel, Spanel. It works fine, but if you are used to cPanel, it feels confusing at first. Some options are not easy to find, and it takes time to get comfortable. Another thing ScalaHosting can improve on is making things more beginner-friendly. Simple guides, short explanations, or step-by-step help inside the panel would really help new users. Not everyone understands server words or technical terms.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ScalaHosting solves few main problems for me. Before using them, I had lot of issues with slow website and hosting going down without warning. With ScalaHosting, my site stays online most of the time and speed is more stable.  Another problem they solve is support. Earlier hosting companies take long time to reply or dont really fix the issue. With ScalaHosting, when something breaks, I just contact support and they handle it, so I dont stress much.  They also help with security. I dont worry too much about hacks or malware like before, because they monitor and fix things if something happens.  So mostly they solve problems of downtime, slow performance, and poor support, which were big headache for me before.

**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

After about 20 years creating multiple sites hosted in various shared-hosting providers, the price for keeping a level that meets some minimum standards reached a level that made me consider moving to managed vpn services. At that time mostly working with Joumla, I noticed that ScalaHosting was recommended as a Joumla-directed provider. It was also a coincidence that I had just completed about a year of university courses in... Scala, something that further made me choose ScalaHosting, thinking that the strengths I saw in Scala would probably be utilised in the hosting infrastracture. I wasn't dissapointed! ~100% uptime, fast ssd's, reliable and easily used backup system. intuitive administration panel (I doubt spanel has anything to be jealous of cpanel), user-controled php (something with which I used to have problems in the past with Joumla), very fast support on-the-spot, and unlimited flexibility on managing your resources.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

I think what is missing is an extensive knowledge-base that could guide the user with specific steps on some common configurations (for example, partly due to luck of time on my side, I haven't managed yet to set correctly all email services so that sending is always possible to reach the receiver), as well as that could explain/present all available functionalities one by one.

I’ve been using ScalaHosting for both our professional websites and my personal projects, and it’s honestly been a very smooth experience so far. I found them after spending an unreasonable amount of time comparing hosting offers across the international market, looking closely at prices, specs, and real-world value. When I finally landed on ScalaHosting, the pricing made sense immediately. It wasn’t just “cheap hosting”, it felt fair, especially considering how good their promotional offers are.

What really sets them apart for me is the team. Support is fast, present, and actually helpful. You don’t get the feeling that you’re fighting a ticketing system or talking to bots. When you ask for something, they try to make it work instead of looking for reasons to say no, and that attitude is rare in this space.

Technically, the servers are clearly based on recent generations. Performance has been stable, sites are responsive, and I haven’t had unpleasant surprises. Everything feels well thought out and maintained.

Most of the problems I’ve encountered were related to initial DNS configuration, especially since I purchase my domains from other providers. Each time, their team quickly identified what was blocking things and fixed it within minutes.

This saves me a lot of time and removes the stress of troubleshooting technical issues myself. It allows me to focus on running and maintaining my websites instead of dealing with hosting or DNS problems.

I absolutely love ScalaHosting for a lot of reasons. Being able to communicate with real people who are knowledgeable, insightful, and enthusiastic about working with customers is something I value highly. The support from their staff is amazing; they are always there whenever I have a question or need to bounce ideas off someone. The speed and reliability of my sites hosted with them are impressive, and the custom interface feels similar to cPanel in all the right ways without the quirks. I feel like I have a team that truly cares about my business. The value I get from the machine power for the price is fantastic, and I trust in their service because of their attention to detail and overall candor in communication. They provide quick responses and efficient solutions, like when they set up a Docker instance for me in under thirty minutes. Everything from setup to moving my data over has been super easy and seamless. I have a lot of respect and gratitude for ScalaHosting because it's not just functional; it's easy on the eyes and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

Realistically, the only gripe I have with ScalaHosting is their backup system on the SPanel server. The local backups have weird issues with timestamps being inaccurate, sometimes showing the wrong date or time. SPanel will show one timestamp on a backup file, but when I FTP and see the same file on the server, the timestamps are different; it seems like a quirk with their automated backups. For example, if I delete an automatically-generated backup in SPanel Admin, it'll come right back since there's no time-specific scheduling functionality like "run automatic (daily/weekly/monthly) backups ONLY at this time of day." As a result, if my server's configured to run daily backups, and I delete one of these daily backups (to free up space), it silently backs up again right after I delete it. This can cause hiccups with timestamps (sometimes being off by hours, sometimes being off by days) which may become an issue in terms of general usability, data retention, auditing, and disaster recovery. But, I've reported it to their staff and they've taken it up with higher-level support.

ScalaHosting solves my issues with cost and value from other providers. I get powerful, reliable machine specs with excellent support that cares about my business.

**What do you like best about ScalaHosting?**

I leased a Virtual Private Server (VPS) on ScalaHosting a few days ago.  I've used "standard" servers to host my websites in the past, but really didn't know much about VPSs.  I went on youtube and educated myself as to the pros and cons of VPSs.  Then, having decided to go with one, I viewed other youtube channels to help me choose a server company.  There are many companies out there, but all of the reviews had great things to say about ScalaHosting.  They also said it cost more than many of the other VPS providers, but emphasized that the ScalaHosting had dedicated and managed servers, which I viewed as important.  Many of the other providers had numerous add-on charges, which ScalaHosting included without additional charges.  I went with the lowest cost offering for a dedicated and managed VPS on the cloud.  I have since had to deal, numerous times, with the tech support staff, and each and every time they have been responsive and informative.  My site uses some difficult coding language, PHP Laravel (i.e., not Wordpress), and the ScalaHosting staff understood what needed to be done to migrate my .tar backup file to get it up and running.  I also contacted the sales staff because I needed a few more GBs of RAM on my server's SSD, and the sales person was also knowledgeable and very helpful.  I am entirely pleased with my experience so far.  My site is running and running fast, and should my site begin to attract many visitors, the ScalaHosting server is entirely scalable.  So, a few days in, all is good!

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

I have not experienced any downside, and have had no negative experiences at ScalaHosting.  I must emphasize that I have been a customer for only a few days, but during that time my experience has been entirely positive.

On the downside,  a week or so after switching to ScalaHosting, I checked my site at scam-detector.com and I was informed that my site was "Questionable," because of (among other things) "Proximity to Suspicious Websites."  Of course, I have no idea who or what ScalaHosting's other client websites are, but apparently scam-detector.com considers my site's new proximility to suspicious sites to be an issue, worthy of a sizeable downgrade in trustworthiness.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had been on a server with another company for several years that cost me ten times as much.

ScalaHosting has a best support team, first of all I've encountered very less complains or issues while using scalahost's server or hosting services; however whenever I faced the issue the support team resolved it without doing hanky panky; they go straight to the depth of the issue and comes with the solution.

I run a local web hosting business; my big pain was hosting servers like VPS and its support and ScalaHosting are the one on which I can rely; I never faced the down time, never had other kind of incident; yes I remeber in past one of my client faced accidental corruption to their website, some kind of malware attack and yes ScalaHost support team did every effort to help me and my clients website to recover from the corruption, they did out of the box support.

A quick fun story about my experience at ScalaHosting. I initially found them on some guys blog about "Best WordPress hosting".

Up to this point, I had tested several providers already. National here in Sweden, and also international ones. They all were NOT as adverted.

The thing about WP-hosting in general from my experience is that you're on shared hosting. Most providers will overcrowd their servers which leads to terrible performance.

I gave Scalahosting a trial seeing they have the authentic AMD CPUs, so I signed up for the free trial, setup a test WP website... and initially I was under the impression that their hosting was slow, also.

So I canceled the service, still having 1-2 days to test their service. On my last hours of the trial, my test website I installed, I noticed it being super fast.

It takes some time after installing a server for it to cache, etc. Now it was super fast! Especally with Litespeed enabled.

I never had this experience with a different provider before. So I instantly moved all my clients to Scalahosting and I have never looked back since.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

Their administrative panel is a bit slow, I think it's called S-panel. It could use some touch up.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a solid hosting provider that doesn't provide overcrowded servers, it's actually rare to find that. Very rare. And for this price? It's a steal!
I've had minor issues with stuff like emails, their support is just awesome. The wait time is instant, and you actually speak with an expert, not some L1 that can't help you. I've never seen such support.

Their offering is for a VPS (which is what I want), but were I to want a one-off website, I might look elsewhere due to costs.

**What problems is ScalaHosting solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I provide web development services for clients, and in most cases I provide my clients a site on a secured VPS.  Scala allows me to offer these sites.  When I signed on, they handled all the migration details.  

Their SPanel is easy to use and provides all the tools I want such as changing PHP version, auto installing up-to-date certificates, creating email accounts, etc.  Email accounts are automatically configured to meet the current verification standards such as those now required by MailChimp.  Whenever needed, I can change my virtual server configuration (RAM, CPUs, disk space) -- even for just a day when one client is expecting heavy traffic for just that day.  Creating a new site is intuitive and quick, and technical details are automated.

I left one of the big hosting companies (SiteGround) as they had made my work harder:  low-quality support personnel with long chat sessions to reach resolution, and a poor replacement for CPanel with simple tasks requiring several click levels.  My experience with Scala has been quite the opposite:  prompt and personal customer support from techs who understand the complexity of the system, and their SPanel which is not only as good as CPanel, but allows me to assign a different user for each domain.   I'm quite happy with Scala, and I won't go back to an impersonal, cost-cutting hosting company.

The customer service. Hands down. Their support team responds fast, understands the issue the first time, and actually fixes it—whether it’s something simple or something complex. It feels like having a personal tech team on call 24/7.

**What do you dislike about ScalaHosting?**

The pricing feels a bit steep, especially when you’re still growing your sites or not generating much revenue yet. The service is excellent, but the cost can sting when you’re operating on a tight budget.

ScalaHosting takes the stress out of managing servers and troubleshooting website issues. Instead of spending hours trying to fix technical problems myself, I can email support and they handle it quickly and accurately.
