## Sawyer Reviews
 ### 1. Seamless Website Integration for Class Registration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc T. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I use Sawyer to let customers register for my music classes, and it means I spend a lot less time registering customers myself. Refunds are very easy. What I like most is that it integrates really well with my website. They let you put a widget right into your website, it builds right in, and customers get a seamless experience. Setting up was fairly easy for the most part. Setting up a whole semester took about twenty minutes to half an hour, which is about 10 to 15 classes per week to set up within the calendar, but they have a really good copy paste kind of thing, so it's not too hard.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

They could streamline the experience a little bit better for the user. A lot of the classes look similar when scrolling through and maybe they could separate them to look a little bit different each. the schedules can all look the same as opposed to making them look a little different so that you know that you're scheduling a summer session versus spring session

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sawyer to let customers register for my music classes, so I spend a lot less time registering customers myself. Refunds are very easy, and it integrates really well with my website with a widget that gives customers a seamless experience.

 ### 2. Intuitive UI Makes Creating Classes & Workshops a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer C. | Chief Learning & Curriculum Officer | Community Outreach & Events Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Very user friendly- everything is laid out logically and easy to find. They keep updating and making improvements and adding new features. I like the interface that allows you to set up a new class or workshop- it is easy to use, flows easily, and allows you to add multiple images and videso.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Two things: 1- customer service has no phone number and only operates on east coast time. as someone who works in pacific time, i'd love to be able to reach someone after 2pm our time. 2. No cut off time as a regular feature in setting up a camp or workshop. I'd like to add a 48-72 hour cut off time to our events so that I don't have to go in and manually 0 out the enrollment. EventBrite has the option to add an end date and time to stop accepting new enrollments- I'd love to have that feature.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

an easy way for families to find us on the marketplace and a place to host all of our adult and children's classes and camps on a single platform. many platforms only want to host camps for kids and many only want to host adult classes- sawyer allows us to do both.

 ### 3. Sawyer Makes Registration and Payments Seamless for a New Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carly K. | Studio Founder & Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Sawyer has been super helpful in the registration and payment process. I love that I can put all my class info in and it all fits into place when parents sign-up. Collecting payment, giving refunds or credits, changing registration, it's all super easy and helpful to a new business.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Sawyer keeps updating and adding to their program, so it's come a long way in just the short time I've used it. I would like to see better messaging options and a way to document communication with parents. My email box is full and quite a mess, so it's hard to keep communication with parents organized. There can also be some added features to the birthday/field trip options and how it is displayed. Overall, it's worth the investment, but a few things could be improved.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer helps with scheduling and registration to keep it all organized and on track. It also helps with payment and I don't have to deal with a separate program for collecting and keeping track of payments from parents.

 ### 4. Simplified Class Management and Analytics

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt S. | Education Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I like that Sawyer makes it much easier to collect analytics about individuals and families, which is really helpful. Managing the check-in and check-out process is also a breeze with Sawyer. I also appreciate that I can easily build and manage classes with Sawyer.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

The reporting does not easily provide usable data. If I want to find out how many kids took a class, or how many unique participants I had over a summer, Sawyer does not make that information easily findable in Reports. Also, I can't cancel a registration and hold onto a deposit, even though I can set up deposits in booking. There is not a way to split charges for broken families.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sawyer to sign up kids and adults for art classes, manage check-in and check-out, and collect analytics about individuals and families.

 ### 5. Pretty, Easy Camp Check-Ins with Room to Streamline

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lanae U. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I use Sawyer for summer camp check-in and enrollment. It's easy to see who is enrolled and how many, plus I can check them in online. The interface is very pretty and easy to use. I use it to view camps on the calendar, see which kids are enrolled in my class, and then check them in and out on the day of. The calendar view, the enrollment list, and the check-in/out workflow are the parts I rely on most. The initial setup was very easy. I really like it.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I think it is a little clunky to click multiple buttons to check each kid in or out. I have to select each student and confirm — "confirm or whatever it's" — whatever the button says. I want to just click one button, like a check mark to mark the person in.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sawyer for summer camp check-in and enrollment. It's easy to see who is enrolled and how many, plus I can check them in online. I just view camps on the calendar, see which kids are in my class, and check them in and out.

 ### 6. User-Friendly Program Setup

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sports | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

It is very user friendly and easy to set up programs for participants to enroll in. We use the Semester and Camps to set up sports programs. It is easy to navigate for families and the pricing is great.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

For program setup, I wish we could go a bit more in depth with the tools available. For example, after I set up a program with specific dates, I can’t change or edit those dates in case something happens. It’s also a bit difficult to find the rosters for older programs. I wish there were a feature that lets us view past semesters along with the participant lists. Lastly, when sending out emails, I want to be able to copy each participant’s email and phone number, but there isn’t a user-friendly option to do that.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer solves the problem of registration, forms, and mass email communication.

 ### 7. Seamless Squarespace integration with fast, intuitive scheduling and great support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I like how it's easy to change and edit schedules, and I also love how I can integrate it within Squarespace. It is very easy to use and code in, and also easy to post new schedules. It generally runs very fast, and while I don't pay for the service, it is very easy to see financial data. I also like how when I have an issue, I can look it up, and Sawyer generally has good help pages and customer support. I think the pricing matches the value, because we make a lot more than it costs. I regularly use the website integration and scheduling, as well.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I don't think the AI/intelligence feature on Sawyer is necessary — I've never used it and have been perfectly fine without it. There are only a few small quality-of-life improvements I'd like, such as the ability to search for an instructor instead of scrolling down, but it's not a big deal.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Sawyer has made it easy for both us and the parents to pay for the services we offer. We previously didn't have a straightforward way to set up payments for parents, but with Sawyer it's as simple as posting the provided information and letting Sawyer do the heavy lifting.

 ### 8. Effortlessly Manages Camp Operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I appreciate that Sawyer allows me to spend more time on making a great camp and less time stuck in the minutia of administration. The ease of handling registrations and sensitive client information and ensuring compliance with legal requirements is incredibly helpful. I also like that I can quickly access my camp rosters, which streamlines my management tasks. Once I learned the software, its user-friendliness stood out, making tasks like understanding the reporting and adding new camps manageable. Overall, the ease of setup was impressive and contributed to Sawyer's overall effectiveness.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Check in and check out procedure for high volume drop off and pick up times and variable billing for after care services that are billed hourly.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer helps handle registrations and sensitive information, comply with legal requirements, complete forms, and quickly access camp rosters. It allows me to focus less on administrative tasks and more on managing my staff and camp quality.

 ### 9. Fantastic Scheduling Tool with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I find Sawyer to be a fantastic scheduling tool that's very helpful for my dance studio. It's especially great because it allows me to duplicate schedules for multiple sessions, which is very user-friendly for my clients. They seem to really like it, and it makes life easier for both the studio owner and the client. I think their customer service is excellent, and I love the aesthetics of it because it looks really nice and is great for marketing to new families. I also love that it's a one-stop shop for studio owners, allowing me to manage scheduling, finances, and pretty much everything in one place. It was incredibly easy to set up, way easier than I anticipated. I also appreciated that Sawyer started as a grassroots, up-and-coming tech company and was one of the first to offer marketing and online registration, which was not available with Dance Studio Pro back then.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I think Square is a bit expensive for what you get in terms of marketplace in smaller towns. I was in Los Angeles, and I felt as though I was getting a lot of benefits from Marketplace, but now my studio has moved to Joshua Tree area, and I'm not finding that the marketing aspects of Sawyer are working very well.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer is a fantastic scheduling tool for my dance studio. It's very helpful for duplicating schedules for multiple sessions and is user-friendly for clients, making life easier for both the studio owner and the client.

 ### 10. Efficient Camp Management, Needs Better Client Labeling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liberty W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I find Sawyer easy to use, which is great since I can effortlessly create camps and manage the calendar. It's visually appealing, making it straightforward for our customers to see camp availability. It's also convenient for parents to check the calendar and know how many spots are left for the camps. I appreciate that changing dates is as simple as a click of a button, with the functionality to easily process refunds. The customer support is easy to access, and I like being able to look up reports about revenue. The infrastructure Sawyer provides is something essential for us and couldn't be replicated on our own, making camp management smoother. The initial setup was very easy because a lot of real help was offered from real people.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

It's hard to explain the camp title issue. I had my camps listed as week one, week two, week three, but that title didn't transfer over to the client side. Instead, it just says summer camp. Also, I find it difficult to email past camp families all in one. I'd really like a feature where you can email everybody through Sawyer. Instead, I have to download the client list, which isn't set up properly for Mailchimp where names need to be divided into columns for first name and last name. That's a simple fix I think Sawyer could make.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sawyer for youth and adult camps. It's easy to create camps, manage calendars, and handle changes like date shifts or refunds. Sawyer provides essential infrastructure we couldn't do on our own, it looks good visually, making it easy for parents to see camp availability.

 ### 11. Essential, Time-Saving Tool for School Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Virginia D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I love Sawyer because it keeps me from being a bookkeeper and is deliverable to my accountant. It keeps all the registration nice, neat, and organized, saving me so much time. I appreciate how it solves the problems of issuing refunds and helps me know who's enrolled in each class at any given time. I have all the parents' information at my fingertips and can call, email, and text people very quickly. It's easy to navigate through the different aspects of the software. I like being able to create my own semester dates and have everything set right there. Creating all of my registration software early is nice and convenient. Sawyer saves me so much time, and I would be lost without it. I love how quick it is to issue refunds and charge parents for last-minute schedule changes. Everything is fast, and I can easily navigate between different parts of the software, which is a huge time saver. The initial setup was very easy, and I've loved the support, especially how tech support responds right away via email or text. The videos showing how to use the software are also very helpful. Sawyer has all the features we need at the best price.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I wish that Sawyer had instant messaging. I would love to be able to text parents. I wish that Sawyer had an app.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer saves me time by keeping registration organized, simplifying refunds, and providing quick access to student and parent info. It's easy to navigate, lets me create custom semester dates, and helps me communicate swiftly.

 ### 12. Seamlessly Transitioned Us from Paper to Digital

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I love that Sawyer has a really robust registration system on the back end. It's really easy for me as the director of our program to create a registration form, make sure it applies to the correct program, and it allows me to know what's being sent out to parents, so they know what they're signing up for. I really, really love the registration process on my end and also how it helps in the long run when we're printing documents or sorting through things; it just makes it so much easier. It's been really helpful when I create the registry forms and then download them in Excel for every day because I'm able to immediately identify kids' shirt sizes, find their contact information, and any concerns or behaviors easily. The setup with Sawyer was seamless; I was able to meet with Sawyer representatives, they were great at answering all of our questions, and they helped us get everything set up. It was just an incredibly supportive team that helped us launch from paper to virtual!

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I wish there was a better registration part that allowed a standard option to know if kids have an IEP or any behavior concerns right away. We have to create this part of the form ourselves, which makes it a little bit tricky. It would be nice if this was just a part of the standard registration, like allergies are.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer makes our registration process seamless, handles payments, emails, and session creation. The backend registration is robust and easy for organizing and printing documents. It helps swiftly identify important details like contact info and concerns, simplifying our workflow.

 ### 13. Effortless Class Management with Sawyer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I think the user interface is really great on Sawyer. I am not the most technology savvy person, and so I appreciate a very intuitive design. Of all of the software that I've used for this job, Sawyer is definitely the easiest to navigate. Everything is just really easy to navigate, and there's not too much going on, which prevents it from feeling overwhelming. I appreciate that the font is large, and that all the important information is right at the front, allowing me to see or change or edit anything I need to do. For me as a new employee, Sawyer has been really easy to use and really nice, which was an unexpected and really great surprise. I have liked using it and would use it in the future.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I don't know if there is a way to directly email parents when a student doesn't show up. It could be helpful if there was something like, after a certain time, if Sawyer recognizes that a student hasn't been marked as registered, it could automatically email the parents of the next child on the waitlist.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer helps me manage art class registrations smoothly, showing student details and allowing easy updates from a waitlist. It's user-friendly, keeping my calendar organized without tech stress.

 ### 14. Super Customizable Platform with Great Reporting and Multiple Revenue Options

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel F. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Super customizable, lots of different ways to bring in income (invoicing, classes, private events), and the reporting tab is great, anything you could need would be in there

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

It's super customizable, to a fault. I have a hard time explaining and training new employees on it, because it's fairly complicated. I have to ask the chat bot where things are multiple times a day, the terms they use for classes aren't what we would typically use, so that's confusing for us as well as the customers. There's also some clunkiness that you have to work around if you're wanting to take in-person or over the phone sign ups, it's not accessible to people who do not use computers or have an email unfortunately.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of registration for students, professional look, automatic class calendar, the reporting tab is very thorough, the price is not bad

 ### 15. Easy-to-Use Admin Interface with Flexible Camp Categories

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Misha B. | Marketing and Social Media Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

From an admin perspective, the interface is easy to use. I’m also happy that we can sort camps into categories, which makes it easier to share our offerings in different ways.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

The only real drawback has been how difficult it is to pull reports (because there are so many options!). Fortunately, we have someone on staff who is highly skilled in Excel and can help coordinate the reports everyone needs.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am thrilled that they figured out how to move people easily from the waitlist! The "invite to join" button has been super helpful.

 ### 16. Intuitive and Versatile Tool for Kids' Programs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I like that Sawyer combines all the information we need about students in an easy-to-read roster. It allows us to offer single-day camps as well as week-long and season-long sessions providing a lot of options for student registration. It's easy to use, and many people in my company can use it. The interface is really fun to work with and looks good for our customers. There's really great support from Sawyer customer service as well. I don't have to worry about training everyone in-depth on Sawyer because as problems come up, we can solve them really easily. I also think the interface is fresh, inviting, and matches our company's branding.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I wish when we printed the rosters out that they printed in a better way. They're really easy to understand when we're looking at them on a computer. But we print them out, and we have to print them in a special way that we've configured in a separate Google Sheet so that we can see everything at a glance and that information isn't split between two pages.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that Sawyer combines all student info in an easy roster and allows offering single day, week-long, and season-long sessions, providing flexible registration options. It's easy to use, my team can quickly solve issues, and the interface is fresh and inviting.

 ### 17. No Upfront Fees, Easy Setup for Solo Instructors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I use Sawyer for guitar lessons and classes, and it helped me find a platform that works for me. What I like most is the fee structure. Most platforms make you pay an upfront fee, but Sawyer doesn't actually make you pay an upfront fee, and instead takes a cut for the first year. Sawyer has plenty of discounts and plenty of features that I like, so I just choose to use Sawyer now. They have sibling discounts, which I can use for customers. It gives me a way to get customers and a way to treat my customers the way they should be treated. The initial setup was very easy. I switched from other sites like Glass.com, Taylor Robinson Music Lessons, and lessons.com, and I moved to Sawyer because Sawyer is actually a better fee structure and I just like it better with discounts and everything.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

{"I have trouble finding more customers.","It would be great if I had more visibility to potential students."}

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer helped me find a platform for my guitar lessons and classes. Most platforms make you pay an upfront fee, but Sawyer doesn't. It has plenty of discounts, like sibling discounts I can use for customers, and gives me a way to get customers and treat them the way they should be treated.

 ### 18. Streamlined Registration but Lacks Customization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I love that things are automated, like the payment plans. It’s fairly user-friendly, and I haven’t heard anything negative about it from families. Additionally, it keeps everything in one place and allows families to pay in full or select a payment plan. I also found the initial setup easy.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I wish it was more customizable! I’m not able to add links in certain sections. I’m also not able to customize the color of certain things. We should be able to change the color of buttons and links to our brand colors. The families looking at our activities on Sawyer are our clients, and not likely to become clients of Sawyer, so I don’t know why they insist on Sawyer colors. I really really really wish it could automatically update a Google Sheet or our GiveButter account as registrations come in.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer consolidates all our needs in one place, simplifying registration and allowing families flexible payment options, which used to be a manual and difficult process.

 ### 19. User-Friendly and Mobile-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I love how user-friendly and mobile-friendly it is.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

There aren't as many customizations as I need there to be. Sawyer staff always suggests workarounds, but more ability to customize would be better. Also there's a free trial loophole that families exploit and despite multiple complaints, Sawyer has done nothing to close it.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer implemented a makeup token tool so that students can schedule their own makeups. I've been asking for that for years, so I'm happy it finally exists. They also have a Facebook forum for asking questions and making suggestions for features, and that has been helpful too. I appreciate their quick responses, and willingness to actively engage with clients.

 ### 20. Flexible Enough for Memberships and Ticketed Events—All in One System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick F. | co-owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

It is flexible enough to work for our indoor play center memberships and ticketed events. We don't need multiple systems because of its flexibility.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Unable to pass some of the credit card processing fees onto customers. Its not straightforward how new customers register and sign our waiver

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Monthly recurring subscriptions, gift card sales, & class pack sales - we don't need to do this manually or find another platform

 ### 21. Game-Changing Online Website and Clickable Links

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan W. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

This program’s online website and its clickable links are a real game changer.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

We run a dance studio, and overall this works well for us. The only thing that feels missing is a robe sizer for sizing dance costumes, similar to what Dance Studio Pro offers.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more paper registration forms—everything is online now. I don’t need a front desk manager anymore, which means my payroll is lower.

 ### 22. Sawyer Makes Business Reports, Business Management and On-the-Spot Support Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abigail F. | Piano Studio Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

So many things that I love about Sawyer. The reports for business management. Having cards on file. And how easy it is to get customer support on the spot with easy to follow instructions.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I wish that I could hover over my upcoming classes and see a roster without having to click into the class or listing.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has automated booking, keeping records for me and getting payments.

 ### 23. Robust Reporting and Helpful Calendars, but Month View and Messaging Need More Control

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** BCC R. | Regsitrar/Operations Mgr, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

The robust custom reporting is very good and I like the interface calendars

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I'd like to be able to collapse the Month view - keep in month but expand/collapse by week. I'd like to customze automated messaging to clients for class reminders. It is so kid oriented sometimes its confusing for adult classes

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps all of our class, student and instrcutor info in one place

 ### 24. Streamlined Business Management with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I love Sawyer's scheduling calendar because it really helps me see my classes visually, which is super important for me. I also really appreciate their help desk and support team. I've had some problems in the past, and they're really quick to solve those problems and help me out. It's also great that they have a further help section, a library where I can find what I need really fast. Plus, I can message them, and they get back to me pretty quickly. This level of support is invaluable, especially as a sole business owner without any other team members. Sawyer has streamlined a lot of things for me, saving me a lot of time which I can use elsewhere. The initial setup was really easy, and the team was great, very communicative and thorough, which helped me get it up and running quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I don't really love their email system. I think it could be improved upon. It seems pretty limited as to what I can do in there. I'd love an email system that was a little more extensive so I could use it for my business.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer creates rosters, simplifies class sign-ups, and tracks payments, making it super easy to manage my business.

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Incredibly user-friendly and fast response time for support staff when needed!

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Some functions don’t work perfectly with the way our programming is set up, so we have to rely on a few “workarounds.” Those workarounds can be difficult to train on because the process isn’t very straightforward.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps our whole team stay on the same page with the same information at the same time. We used to rely heavily on creating spreadsheets, and now everyone can see everything in one place without all the clunky extra steps.

 ### 26. Helpful, Responsive Support and Great Value for a Small Nonprofit

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Sawyer staff is very helpful and responsive. If I send a message or help request, I typically hear back within 24 hours. often much quicker. I don't feel like just a number. As a small arts nonprofit with a tight budget, the price is right for us. It integrates nicely with our website, too,

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Occasionally I need something from a report that is not possible, but their team is adding new features all the time.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer is handling our credit card processing and also keeps records I use when doing year-end or grant reports.

I like Sawyer's pleasant interface, which makes it a joy to use. The automatic calendar updates are great because they save me time and are more accurate than if I did it manually. The initial setup was very easy, which I really appreciated. I’d give Sawyer a 10 out of 10 and say it’s great overall.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I would like it to be very easy to see who signed up for my classes. I'm not a fan of paying the fees on the customer side though.

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

The user experience has been a real plus for our customers. They find it easy to book services online through the integration with our website.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

From the provider perspective, configuration can be challenging, especially around the concepts of schedules and events versus listings. There’s also quite a bit of inflexibility when it comes to customizing the flows to fit our specific needs, which makes setup and ongoing adjustments harder than they should be.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it to manage events and handle bookings for those events made by our client families.

I like that with Sawyer, I can see my whole schedule on a calendar, which really helps with planning in advance.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I find how money transfer works confusing, and it's difficult to sync my bank account. I wish it could be as simple as just putting my card number in. Though the setup was very easy, the bank sync part wasn't.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer helps with schedule management and quick pay. I can see my whole schedule on a calendar, which aids in planning in advance.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

I use Sawyer to run my preschool and children's event studio, and it really handles everything seamlessly. It's so user-friendly and isn't clunky at all, making it easy to navigate. The support is readily available and timely, which I really appreciate. Sawyer is far superior to other programs because it's highly customizable to fit my business needs. The switch to Sawyer allowed me to do everything all in one place, which was a big improvement. Plus, the initial setup was so easy!

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Can't think of a thing!

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sawyer to run my preschool and children's event studio seamlessly; it's user-friendly, easy to navigate, and has timely support. It unifies functions that needed multiple programs before, fitting my business needs perfectly.

 ### 35. Clunky mobile interface, limited features

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Easy to take attendance after I condense the list of my campers

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Quite a bit. The month view on mobile is a list of days instead of a weekly grid. It is difficult to see full details for each camper unless you download a report. I haven't been able to open Sawyer on my laptop, so I e been forced to use my phone. The interface is clunky.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't noticed a marked update on my end in 3 years

 ### 36. Sawyer: Custom Registration Forms and Smooth Installment Billing; High Cost

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Allows custom forms to be signed during registration and supports installment billing.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

We're a company that offers group classes on the side, mostly for adults. While Sawyer is great, the cost is quite high given that we aren't a kids' recreation program offering a ton of classes each semester.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We spend less time compared with selling items directly on our website, and we can offer installment payments with no extra work or ongoing monitoring.

 ### 37. Clean Setup—But Missing Key Features Like Welcome Emails

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Performing Arts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

I like how clean it looks, especially on our website. It is easy to understand where certain information should go (like age restrictions, pricing, promo codes, etc.).

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

There a few features that don't exist or do not work well (namely automatic welcome emails and a better makeup feature). These features are so necessary, it drives me crazy that they aren't present.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer helps streamline class and camp registration, and it is easy to keep track of rosters/students.

 ### 38. Highly Customizable and Easy to Use—Sawyer Saves Us 20–30 Hours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eli C. | Executive Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

From the backend, Sawyer is highly customizable and it's easy to set up classes, pull reports, and view student information. For parents and students, it's simple and easy to sign up. This has saved us 20-30 hours based on the systems we were using before.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

We do not have any dislikes or drawbacks. I recommend this to other similar organizations regularly.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer makes collecting payments and setting up payment plans incredibly easy. And helps collect information like allergies or accomodations that students might have.

 ### 39. Customizable Camp Registration Tracking with Great Spreadsheet Tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

The information it gives and the ability to create spreadsheets of kids for our summer camp program. I like that it is customizable.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I wish it would show me on the homepage the new registrants for our program. With hundreds of kids, it's difficult to navigate new registrants without going through the whole list.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Summer camp registration is easily managed by Sawyer. Staff and parents can navigate it with minimal stress.

 ### 40. Intuitive Interface and Clear Reports Make Class Management Effortless

 ### 41. Aesthetically Pleasing and Easy to Use, with a Great Calendar View

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Love how aesthetically pleasing it is and how easy it is to use! The calendar view is great, and it's a very easy tool to jump in and figure out.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I feel like the what's new tab could be moved or reduced in size, it doesn't feel like a necessary part of the navigation for a general user

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy scheduling for the studio!

 ### 42. This product is awseome to handle student info

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omari B. | After School ADMIN, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

For the past year, our school has relied on Sawyer to run our after school basketball program, and the results have been extremely positive. In my role as program coordinator, I’ve noticed that Sawyer has made a real difference in streamlining our processes, from handling registrations to keeping in touch with parents. We pretty much use this platform everyday for our programs here and its been pretty awesome. The platfom has been pretty easy to integrate after getting familiar.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

Although the platform is generally user-friendly, certain features can be challenging to grasp, particularly for staff members who are less comfortable with technology. Getting started with the initial programs or adjusting registration settings may involve some trial and error. Additionally, Sawyer does not always integrate smoothly with our existing school systems, such as student information or attendance databases. As a result, we occasionally need to duplicate our work or manually move data between platforms. Customer support has also been great to help with these small quirks.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer has become an indispensable tool for managing our afterschool basketball program. It has significantly lessened our administrative workload, enhanced parent satisfaction, and enabled us to dedicate more time to what truly matters: coaching and supporting the growth of our student-athletes. From an administrative standpoint, the reporting features are robust. I can quickly pull up rosters, attendance, payment histories, and even export data for our school’s records. It’s helped us better understand enrollment trends and plan our staffing accordingly.

 ### 43. Better for certain organizations/businesses

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan D. | Site Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

What I like the most about Sayer is the interface and how easy it is to use and how good it looks. It is something we use every work day and has become an important part of our organization serving as our student information system and our customer relationship management. Sawyer has several features that help build and organize programs or classes, as well as pull reports about those classes and the corresponding financials. It is very easy to set up additional users and vary their permissions as needed. I personally really like the integration with stripe, and the connection to our bank and the payouts that it receives are pretty straightforward and easy to set up. This is also true in the inverse if we need to provide a refund. In the same light, it is also easy to transfer students or create orders on their behalf in the event that it was too difficult on the client side or if there was another problem. The few times I've had to reach out to customer support they have gotten back to me quickly and I also enjoy the few webinars or training opportunities they provide. It's also nice to have opportunities to review potential improvements and it really makes you feel like you have some direction in something that you invest in.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

I think the current iteration of Sawyer is very dependent on the structure of your organization. For example, as a non profit, I've developed the perspective that Sawyer as a tool created to maximize revenue and not a tool to manage programs and people. This may not be inherently bad, but for my organization it is largely counter. A lot of the things I dislike about Sawyer are unfortunately a part of the things that I do like about it. Some things give you just enough to make you think it will be helpful and then as you continue along, you realize it actually isn't. For example, as a non profit, it's really nice to be able to schedule out a bunch of classes and get all the dates set, only to realize that there are limitations around creating free programs. On that same note, offering different payment options, having marketplace fees, and booking fees is really difficult for many of our families to cope with and it's hard for us to absorb any of these costs or find different payment options on our own. As a non profit, we also need as much information as possible from our registration and while there are a variety of reporting options, I think it's something that can be improved vastly. I often have to edit the data after I pull it to make it relevant to what I wanted in the first place. Things look great on both the client and user side, but it is a bit limited as far as differentiating things go. There is a nice feature to change schedule colors, but there are not enough colors and there are not enough user roles to help differentiate between who really should see what schedule and information on the user side. It's nice that you can communicate to a lot of clients at once, but it can be a bit challenging to achieve that at scale, so while it's certainly possible it is easier to talk to send a message to one class than it is a whole schedule. Lastly, transferring and making new orders are relatively easy, but this can also result in false information such as cancelations when really we just want to fix someone's mistake of registering for the wrong class. This can sometimes make it confusing for both clients and users. ,

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer helps us keep classes organized and our managers informed.

 ### 44. Solid Software that Continues to Improve

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arts C. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Sawyer is for the most part very user friendly. There are a lot of functions that we find extremely helpful; messaging an entire class/waitlist all at once, reporting that is easy to access, as well as the calendar layout to get a broad, "big picture" look at how enrollment is going.

I appreciate Sawyer's commitment to continuous improvement as well; the product has changed a lot even since I first began using it a couple of years ago, and the team seems very open to feedback. Response times for any issues we've had have been fast, and I appreciate the customer service team's willingness to meet via Zoom meetings for anything requiring more extensive discussion.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

There are a few functions on Sawyer that newer employees I've trained have found confusing; for example, the distinction between "listings" and "schedules" and the way that it is separated can be counterintuitive. There is a lot of repetitive work associated with creating a class and adding that class to a particular semester, particularly because we as an organization are often tweaking small things like age ranges/price/timing etc. This process could be streamlined more so there is not so much clicking back and forth between sections/screens. As I mentioned, it seems the team at Sawyer is always looking to improve, so these are minor annoyances more than actual problems.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A a small, non-profit community art center, we have limited space for events, classes, etc. It is critical that we do not double book rooms, and Sawyer's color coded, calendar view of a day, week, or month's activities is extremely beneficial in that regard. It has also freed up our limited staff to focus on other tasks rather than the tedious process of registering/moving/cancelling registrations by hand. Giving teachers access to their classes for communication and roster management has also empowered them to manage their classes on a much more personal level rather than relying on the office for every interaction.

 ### 45. Innovative and easy, but lacking some wanted features.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aimee L. | Co-Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Sawyer?**

Automation of enrollment and ease of use for parents. Reminders for parents and looks nice on our website.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

The widget can slow down our website. It is missing some features that I would really like such as the ability to schedule send messages, a live person to call if I have questions. today I called and went to leave a message and it said their mailbox was full. Cost is high considering we they get a flat rate on our orders over a certain amount.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sawyer is saving me a tremendous amount of time with enrollment. Prior to this we were using google forms and Venmo which was exhausting. I love the installment options, and all of the features and discount codes. We use the codes a lot for first time customers and special events. Sawyer makes keeping track of our finances very easy.

Having to take cash

I like that I can go back and edit dates after I originally entered them in attendance, and that the children’s contact information is readily available when I need it.

**What do you dislike about Sawyer?**

When I’m taking attendance, there are times when I have to click several times before it finally gets entered correctly.

**What problems is Sawyer solving and how is that benefiting you?**
