However, if you ever have sat down to make one you know one of the biggest struggles is knowing how much you should be budgeting in each category. Is it crazy to be budgeting $300 a month for a single person for groceries? Who knows!? I love that Savology is the first budgeting service I have ever used that made a customized plan suggesting how much I should be budgeting in all categories based on my specific financial situation. **What do you dislike about Savology?** The next addition I would LOVE to see in Savology is a way to track my expenditures. It is a wonderful service as is, and the ability to add my cards and bank accounts so that it will tell me how to spend and keep track of that spending would make it the ultimate all in one package. **What problems is Savology solving and how is that benefiting you?** Knowing how I should be divvying up my budget. ### 3. They send out reminders to work on bit size tasks so I can get my financial affairs in order. With financial literacy at an all time low in the U.S. this is a must for everyone. **What do you dislike about Savology?** I'm excited for the app that will soon be released **Recommendations to others considering Savology:** Savology is a great tool to use for those who are seeking more information about ways they can improve their finances. I love it because it helps the user jump into the financial world of planning with overwhelming. I share it with those that need help with their finances or simply want more education. The interface is simple and easy to use and the grade/followup received is invaluable. **What problems is Savology solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm solving the problem of truly assessing my financial health all on one dashboard...without needing an expensive financial planner. ### 4. They provide a path to success with baby steps to help me hit important milestones that weren't even on my radar previously. I also love that it grades my current statuses to help me conceptualize how far I have come in my personal financial management. **What do you dislike about Savology?** So far, so good! At first, it felt like another financial app, but the more I use it, the more value I see! You get out of it what you put into it! **Recommendations to others considering Savology:** Take advantage of this great tool! It has a lot of features that could easily be overlooked (and often when financial planning). This gives you the ability to see everything in one place and break down tasks into bite-sized chunks to be able to move forward with confidence. Not sure where to start with personal finances? The Savology diagnostic is super fast and easy, and significantly more robust than I expected. **What problems is Savology solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am now using investment vehicles that I previously was too nervous to touch! For example, Savology is helping me optimize the use of my HSA funds and better expand my investment portfolio. ### 5. That is how I know its secure. They can't sell my personal data, because they don't have it! They don't even know my last name, let alone my account numbers, address, identify ing info etc. The survey only takes about 10 minutes but gives me a comprehensive view of my financial position. Their occasional emails (quarterlyish) remind me to update my info so I can track my improvements. Their content helps me understand why their recommendations are important for me to improve my finances. So much more valuable than a paid financial advisor without the headache! **What do you dislike about Savology?** I don't dislike much. They have a one size fits most solution, so if you are stupid rich and have super complex holdings, it may not work for you. But I have a regular job, and make regular money, and need help tracking how I'm using it and where my money is ending up, and how to protect myself. It's perfect for that. **Recommendations to others considering Savology:** You will be able to tell within 10 minutes if it is useful for you. If it isn't, you haven't given them any personal information, so there is no risk! **What problems is Savology solving and how is that benefiting you?** Peace of mind. I know how much I need to save, how much I am saving, how quickly I am saving toward my goal, and getting pointers on where to look to save money and how to make adjustments to achieve my goals. It helps me see what insurance I should consider, and is even educating me on wills and trusts, which I didn't really know to look at before. ### 6. Savology has given me the tools and transparency I needed in order to be more fiscally responsible in my own life. not only have I been able to save money, but I've learned so much about different aspects in the financial world that I was unfamiliar with which in essence changed so much about my thoughts & behaviors regarding money. **What do you dislike about Savology?** Nothing yet! If that changes, I will come back to this review and make a change. **What problems is Savology solving and how is that benefiting you?** Honestly the overall wellness score and report card helped me shift behavior. It's not that I didn't have money, it's that I wasn't always putting it in the most beneficial places. Having a simple score helped me become a little obsessed with areas that I could improve. I'd say the biggest impact for me was solving behavior & habit. ### 7. They do have affiliate marketing so they will suggest services to use, I'm more of a - If I want it, I'll go find it person. **What problems is Savology solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps me to understand my overall financial health.
