  ### 3. Easier business planning

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Business Supplies and Equipment | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

What I like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) is its ability to connect all aspects of the supply chain—demand, inventory, supply, and financial planning—on a single, cloud-based platform. The real-time data visibility and integration with SAP S/4HANA make it much easier to make informed decisions quickly. I also appreciate the flexibility of scenario planning and the use of advanced analytics and machine learning for forecasting accuracy. Overall, IBP helps align strategic, tactical, and operational plans while fostering true cross-departmental collaboration.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

While SAP Integrated Business Planning is a powerful tool, it can be quite complex to configure and maintain. The initial setup requires significant time, technical expertise, and alignment between IT and business teams. Some users may also find the interface less intuitive compared to newer cloud planning tools, and performance can slow down with large datasets. Additionally, licensing and customization costs can be high for smaller organizations. However, once implemented correctly, the capabilities it provides often outweigh these challenges.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Integrated Business Planning helps solve the challenge of disconnected and manual planning processes across the supply chain. It brings together demand, supply, inventory, and financial planning in one integrated platform, which greatly improves visibility and collaboration between departments. With real-time data and predictive analytics, we can create more accurate forecasts, respond faster to market changes, and align our operational plans with business goals. As a result, we’ve reduced inventory costs, improved service levels, and made more confident, data-driven decisions.

  ### 4. Achieved End-to-End Planning Visibility Effortlessly

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

I really appreciate the end-to-end visibility SAP Integrated Business Planning offers. The advanced analytics feature is something I like because it helps me make better decisions. The initial setup was very easy, which was a pleasant surprise.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

I feel like the 'what if' analysis could be faster in SAP Integrated Business Planning. It would help in predicting outcomes before they happen.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Integrated Business Planning for end-to-end visibility, solving disconnected planning processes and enabling better decisions through advanced analytics.

  ### 5. Powerful Supply Chain Integration, But Setup Can Be Complex

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sami S. | Finance Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

What I like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning is how it connects different parts of the supply chain in one place. It’s much easier to see how changes in demand or supply will affect production and inventory.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

While SAP IBP is powerful, it can be quite complex to set up and maintain. It takes time to fully understand the configuration and make sure everything works smoothly across modules.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Integrated Business Planning helps bring all planning activities—demand, supply, and inventory—into one platform. It solves the problem of disconnected processes and data silos, allowing us to make faster and more informed decisions.

  ### 6. Forecasting and Swift Collaboration in SAP IBP

Also, customer support is always on point, helping you get back on track as swiftly as possible.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

It is not that simple to configure, and the learning process can be lengthy, depending on individual. Some features feel overly rigid, and performance can slow when working with large data sets or complex models.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP IBP helps reduce forecast errors, align supply and demand, and mitigate inventory shortages. Considering our configuration, SAP IBP helps us have a better planning reliability and efficient end-to-end operational execution

  ### 7. Excellent Platform for Cost Analysis in Restaurant Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

SAP is good platform for costs analyzings. I have experince in restaurant mangment.
Its eaasy platform to acces data you need. Especially working with big data bases.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Speed of service is not the best. PowerBi or Oracle MyMicros is much faster with responding. You need to have nerves of steel 😅. Also its hard platform to learn if we compare it to PowerBi or Oracle.. Inteface is not friendly-user

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software leverages advanced analytics and AI to enhance forecasting accuracy, streamline inventory management, and foster better collaboration between departments, resulting in more efficient, real-time decision-making. It also integrates seamlessly with other SAP solutions as well as third-party systems.

  ### 8. Great Forecasting Features, But Integration Can Be Challenging

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Has allowed us to combine demand planning with supply chain planning through proper forecasting and supplier management. Love the various forecasting method options and quick analysis. If you use SAP this is a must have tool

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Does not talk with other systems easily. Requires dedicated tech support if you are using multiple systems. Your data inputs must also be solid, garbage in, garbage out. Expensive.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Delivery scheduling across multiple DCs/hubs. The exception management and modeling are fast once you learn the system. This has allowed us to provide more accurate buy forecasts to our suppliers and receive cost benefits.

  ### 9. Enhanced Collaboration and Clarity for Faster Team Progress

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

I appreciate having clear visibility across the business, as it enhances collaboration and helps the team progress more quickly. It also improves decision-making, making the entire team feel more connected and focused.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

At times, it can be difficult to apply this in real-world situations. The approach seems to assume that teams operate perfectly, which isn't realistic. Coordinating everyone to agree on timelines, definitions, and sources is often a challenge.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me connect people from different departments working on the same project. It allows visibility between different functions. Aligns everyone so we can all make better and informed decisions

  ### 10. A Unified, Real-Time Approach to Modern Supply Chain Planning

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) has a lot of strengths, but the thing I “like best” (from a capability standpoint) is how it unifies planning across the entire supply chain in real time.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

I dislike its limited flexibility for complex customizations, which can make it hard to adapt IBP to unique business processes without significant workarounds.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP IBP is solving fragmented, slow, and siloed supply chain planning.
It gives me one real-time, connected planning platform for demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP

  ### 11. Efficient Tool for Transport Coordination

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

SAP streamlines logistics planning and forecasting with useful automation tools, robust data integration, and easy collaboration across teams. The user appreciates reliability and customizable features for international transport management.

Occasional complexity in setup and integration. Some modules require more user training; interface updates could improve usability for new users. Would prefer easier onboarding and more online support documentation.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP IBP helps streamline complex transport planning across international routes, improves forecast accuracy for capacity management, and enables real-time visibility of shipment schedules. This has significantly reduced delays and improved overall operational efficiency.

  ### 12. SAP IBP: a game changer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Market Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

It combines powerful analytics with an intuitive interface that encourages collaboration across departments.I really appreciate how user-friendly and collaborative SAP IBP is.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

One drawback of SAP IBP is its steep learning curve. Because it’s such a comprehensive and powerful tool, new users can find it complex at first.Proper training and change management are essential.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP IBP helps solve the problem of disconnected planning across departments. Its one big collaborative platform and follow ups are easier to do, does not require much communication to get processes going.

  ### 13. Effortless to Use and Highly Recommended

SAP Integrated Business Planning has benefitted me in many work demands! I enjoy having the opportunity to quickly complete tasks and do what I need easily!

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Mostly for its powerful AI-driven forecasting, end-to-end supply chain visibility, and user-friendly Excel integration

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Its complexity, performance, and non-too-user-friendly interface

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To solve problems like inaccurate forecasting, inefficient inventory management, poor communication, and a lack of visibility within supply chains

  ### 15. SAP Enterprise inventory and Serice Level Optimization in Manufactoring

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2024

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

It helps us to model different time varying inputs for inventory targets and predict coresponding service levels. We use the product every day and customer support is responsive when needed.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

The system can be very complex and sometimes we get incorrect safety stock recommendations.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us reduce inventory holding costs and avoid out of stock item situations.

  ### 16. Massive usage for internal procurement and external order fulfilment

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phei Yuen W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

An informative data archive with easy traceability and automation built-in does help much in execution.
In my case, it helps to auto-generate global STO with a single page view and a few clicks in less than a minute. Amazing!!

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Only a handful of developers know well enough to automate SAP for home-grown needs. SAP expertise became a rare niche even within the developer community. Connection to these expertise would be so much helpful.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In a certain way, Kpo does have an excellent capability of reducing the manual work of Fpo, so long automation is built-in.
Fpo does help in manual PO placement and DN. However if integrating these information into Kpo, will be able to visible all info in single, where then automation intercept to run the execution that then reflect in Fpo as well.

  ### 17. SAP IBP is easy to implement and offers a complete and integrated end-to-end solution for planning.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Veronica M. | Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

SAP IBP provides comprehensive end-to-end planning for a wide range of sectors, Demand Planning, Master Production Schedule for production, material explosion, inventory policy computation, and DRP. It is a basic and easy-to-use application that can be linked to ERPs using simple SQL queries. The product was up and operating in a matter of days, and the user-friendly design made it simple for my team to get started straight immediately. The program also has a number of features and capabilities that have allowed us to adopt SAP Integrated Business Planning and optimize our supply planning procedures, saving us time and money.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Although capacity management elements are enabled in SAP IBP, there is still room to make it completely useful for some sectors that share capacity across different products. We've proposed certain improvements to SAP Integrated Business Planning, and we know they're on the way, but those improvements have been slow to come to fruition.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP IBP provides great communication and computation capabilities for daily planning as well as the S&OP cycle. As a result, it significantly improves the level of Customer Service, inventory, and cost for the whole supply chain. The technology assists us in developing more accurate demand estimates, which leads to better future planning and more informed purchase decisions. SAP IBP provides us with increased visibility into your supply chain, allowing us to follow order status and detect possible bottlenecks or concerns before they become larger issues. SAP IBP enables us to cooperate more effectively with our suppliers, allowing us to communicate more efficiently and make more informed procurement decisions.

  ### 18. SAP IBP is a very powerful and effective tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shelli Y. | System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Although SAP IBP is highly built and advanced to cover all areas of predicting variables, complex applications are difficult to use. SAP IBP included all of the measurements I expected and all of the algorithms I could have worked on myself. I really enjoy the "reorder point" and related features. The tool is extremely useful for creating various Supply Chain response scenarios, allowing decisions to be made based on concrete data. Demand planning is quite exact, it allows for the simulation of various scenarios, and the data display is straightforward and understandable.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Several upgrades do not appear to operate properly with my Mac operating system. I had to revert to an earlier version and forgo the upgrades. Additionally, I'm not sure why the "to receive" column is occasionally reset to 0. I believe it would be beneficial to create a web interface that allows you to simply access information from a basic browser. I'd want to see the tool's usability and user experience improved.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a unique circumstance in which we use numerous inventory locations in Quickbook but do not want to include all sites in the demand prediction. The support staff identified the various applications of the sites and made a few programming tweaks to fit our demands. We may use SAP Integrated Business Planning to determine when to order things so that we do not have too much or too few. It benefits us since clients are not forced to wait for lengthy periods of time owing to low inventory levels.

  ### 19. SAP Integrated Business Planning is a powerful forecasting tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brandon P. | System Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

SAP Integrated Business Planning is useful for trade promotion planning, demand management, future financial calculations, profit loss, inventory management, and effective manufacturing material planning. SAP Integrated Business Planning is a fantastic tool for preserving massive amounts of data/multi-linked tables, etc. We mostly use it in our project to track inventory, sales, refunds, and so on, and the simplicity of modification made it helpful across the business for testing in any setting.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Lack of user awareness to understand which algorithm was used to achieve the outcome necessitates extra modification. Several of the operations we had to perform were repetitive and could have been automated, but the system was sluggish and incompatible with automation, as the system attributes were inconsistent at times, it was difficult to establish object repositories at times since there was nothing unique, and so on.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP IBP enhances demand management and trade promotion management. Statistical projection based on previous bookings or shipments. When compared to manual forecasting, forecast accuracy was considerably improved. In our project, we mostly dealt with order and sales management, as well as inventory management. There are so many apps that we must go through to maintain consistency, and happily, SAP Integrated Business Planning has been beneficial enough to avoid errors most of the time.

  ### 20. SAP IBP is a powerful planning tool.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela S. | Project Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

The user interface is simple to set up, making it an ideal platform for activity planning. I have worked on practically all of the IBP modules, but Reaction and Supply Planning is one of my favorite aspects. SAP IBP is as simple to use as Microsoft Excel (the most powerful tool for planners). Furthermore, because it is a cloud-based platform, all information is shared across your team and can be instantly evaluated.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

The limitation in terms of possible customisation hinders IBP EPM formatting, as Excel templates do not give the necessary flexibility and resilience. Like Excel, it frequently breaks and fails to save, resulting in the loss of all your work; the algorithm takes a long time to execute, so you must be patient.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP IBP has evolved significantly over the years, and for the most part at the appropriate rate, offering clients with the most recent features. Each module has its own set of benefits; one of the most significant benefits of Control Tower is the end-to-end visibility of the overall supply chain, which allows us to communicate with all departments in a live supply chain as demand planner, supply planner, inventory planner, and share feedback. From demand to supply planning, everything is planned (MPS, DRP, MRP, DS). Aids in the consolidation of SC information throughout your business.

  ### 21. Excellent tool to work on end-to-end planning.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel G. | System Engineer Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

It serves as the one source of truth and is also better at tracking changes; the simplicity of the program, along with its power, is one of its finest features. Utilizing it in real time across departments and then allowing numerous warehouses and offices to access the data in real time saves a significant amount of time. I enjoy the option to add additional key figures and adjust logic if the IT and project management teams accept. In collaboration with the IT team, we have already built the automatic calculation methodology for the key figure. Another excellent alternative is to create your own templates.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Its output integration with Excel might be cumbersome at times. I wish it was more "drag and drop" than having to enter each individual line. The platform should not just be confined to corporate applications, but also be adaptable to emerging AI technologies, and an integration architecture for the same would be beneficial. I've seen numerous times when working in SAP IBP that it would crash; I believe this is because it utilizes a lot of operating RAM. It slows down the procedure. The planning team is happy with it, but the sales team has a lot of questions regarding the names. Since the designation of each Important Figure is not always clear to novice personnel.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The integration of different components is seamless, to address supply chain, sales and distribution issues. Every day, we utilize IBP to estimate sales receivable from key account managers and printers. In the event of comprehensive revenue plans, we use IBP to confirm this sales prediction with the Product Team. As an added bonus, I developed extra functionalities (Key Figures) for collaboration with the IT team.

  ### 22. Great easy to use planning tool, a digital revolution.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa D. | Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

It is an excellent tool for demand and supply planning, with customized Excel planning views, rapid data connection via CPI-DS, and the ability to handle massive volumes of data. Users do not have to worry about storage or system maintenance because it is hosted on the cloud. I appreciate the best fit statistical forecasting capabilities, automatic cleaning, interface capabilities with other SAP systems, and the fact that we have the whole E2E planning process in one application. We are constantly up to date because it is cloud-based.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

Because there aren't many good resources for learning IBP on the internet, it's tough for new users to get started. Some of the functionality is still in its early stages. We'd want to employ controller-based scheduling, but there are currently performance difficulties. I dislike the intelligent visibility opportunity to deliver real-time data and analytics as well as predictive analytics, as well as its ease of use in comparison to other products like as BO or Power BI.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We performed supply planning, demand planning, and inventory optimization to attain the required goal stocks and service level for our clients. We tackle difficulties with SAP IBP by reducing the complexity of the landscape and moving to a fully integrated system where information from one module is used by another. We utilize this software to boost communication throughout your supply chain, including supply planning, sales and operations planning, demand management, inventory planning, and reaction management.

  ### 23. Experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sudhakar J. | Enterprise Architect & Practice Lead, CoE (Innovation & Digital Transformation), Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2023

- Realtime supply planning
- Depand profitability with what-if cases

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

I was using APO earlier although SAP IBP is better i am missing some of the comforts like
- Running jobs through Excels views
- Prebuilt KPIs for performance management
- Predictive analytics also need improvements

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Integrated Business Planning controlled our end to end manufacturing planning process. All the MRP challenges which was provided earlier by SCM APO is resolved with SAP IBP. we are mostly using SAP IBP for our forecasting and it does that very well for us. It reduced the complexities of custom code and using different tools for the same purpose.

  ### 24. Cloud based supply chain planning tool

**Reviewed by:** Lovish J. | Manager | SAP Analytics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2023

**What do you like best about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

The major advantage of SAP Integrated Business Planning is the close integration with SAP BW that makes it far more comfortable to use compared to other standalone applications.

**What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Business Planning?**

One major drawback with IP I consider is that this is not a future-proof application and SAP itself is not suggesting to move towards other tools provided by them. This makes it very tough to go towards IP for new organizations considering the time and efforts required for user training.

**What problems is SAP Integrated Business Planning solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The major problem that SAP IP solves is that is can use the existing BW platform objects and you only need to concentrate on the planning capabilities rather than developing all the objects separately from scratch. This close knitting saves a lot of time.
