"Real-Time Analytics and Seamless Integration with SAP HANA Cloud"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

I really appreciate the combination of in-memory performance with managed, cloud-native operations in SAP HANA Cloud. The real-time HTAP analytics on live data is fantastic, providing insights that are immediate and valuable. I also find the patching and automated scaling features quite beneficial. The seamless integration with SAP BTP services is another standout aspect, as it simplifies the process and enhances efficiency. SAP HANA Cloud's tight BTP integration helps to reduce DBA overhead while enabling scalable retail analytics and applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

I guess the slower cross region replication costs and setup. It's kinda tough to learn the process and adapt fast. Limited control over low level DB tuning compared to on-prem. Caps in tooling or the third party ecosystem support vs the self-managed HANA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful, Scalable Database Platform for Modern SAP Landscapes"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

Its flexibility and scalability in the cloud while keeping the power of the in-memory SAP HANA database. It combines transactional and analytical workloads in one platform, which simplifies architecture and accelerates innovation. Plus, its tight integration with the SAP ecosystem makes development and data management much more seamless. SAP support is very good as the product is in their focus. Also the HANA Data Lake Files options are something that can help you get the right type of compute for your usecase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Standardization and Optimization with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

I really like the simplicity of integration points across modules with the key private cloud enablement of the acdoca table, which makes reporting easy. I also like the Fiori launchpad and the applications targeted to the final users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

Some functionalities are not adjusted to specific industries. For example, asset accounting needs to be treated differently depending on which country is the mother company and which industry you are in. It is especially lacking complex solutions for capitalizing projects in multiple countries if you want to use WBS or internal order element to do so. FSI organizations struggle with that a lot. The initial setup is still cumbersome; lots of tasks should be optimized with AI, such as migration, testing, and configuration of the standard solution to customers' functional requirements. "Boosts Finance and Procurement Efficiency with Real-Time Data"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

I use SAP HANA Cloud mainly as the core system that supports our finance and procurement operations. It helps manage purchasing activities, vendor data, and spend tracking in one centralized platform. The biggest benefit and problem solver is the real-time data processing, which makes reporting faster and improves visibility across departments. Overall, it works as a reliable backend that keeps business processes integrated and consistent within the SAP SE ecosystem. I appreciate having everything integrated into one system, which reduces manual work and improves data accuracy in the SAP SE environment. The different functions work on the same data in one system: procurement, finance, and controlling all see the same purchase order and vendor data, eliminating the need for manual reconciliation. The HR team sees the value in people finance alignment, and the finance team likes the reporting and automation, while IT likes the real-time queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

Performance can slow down when handling large datasets or running heavy reports. Customization and changes often require technical support, which slows down business teams. Error messages are not always clear, so troubleshooting takes longer than it should. The setup is confusing for newbies, especially regarding accounts, networks, and sizes. "Powerful, Scalable, Yet Initially Complex"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

I really appreciate SAP HANA Cloud's performance and scalability. Complex queries on large datasets run significantly faster compared to traditional databases. It also integrates well within the SAP ecosystem, which makes the overall architecture more streamlined and reduces the extra integration effort. I find the stability and predictable performance during testing to be great, and the monitoring and security features are solid, making it easier to manage enterprise-level workloads with confidence. The strong performance means we can run complex reports and analytics without slowing down the core system, even during peak hours. Scalability gives us the confidence that the system can handle growth without major rework. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

The main challenge is the learning curve. If the team doesn't have prior SAP experience, onboarding can take time. Some configuration and troubleshooting steps aren't always very intuitive. It can also feel like a heavy and costly solution for smaller projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"High-Performance, Scalable Real-Time Analytics with SAP HANA Cloud"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

We like SAP HANA Cloud because it combines high performance, scalability, and real-time analytics in a single, secure platform. It allows businesses to process large volumes of data quickly, integrate multiple data sources, and gain instant insights for smarter decision-making. Its cloud-native design reduces infrastructure complexity while offering flexibility, reliability, and strong data management capabilities — making it a powerful solution for modern, data-driven organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

It can feel complex to learn and manage, especially for teams without strong technical expertise. The pricing may seem high for smaller organizations, and customization or migration from legacy systems can require significant time and effort. For businesses seeking simpler or lower-cost solutions, the platform may feel heavier than necessary for their day-to-day needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enhances Security with Granular Control, Needs Improved SoD"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

I used SAP HANA Cloud at my client to manage users and access. It solves the problem of role-based privileges and object level access. I like that the main difference from the old SAP is that the authorization itself is enforced at database level, which means users connecting via API or SQL client have controlled database access. Best features of SAP HANA Cloud include RBAC - role-based access control, as it offers good granularity with actions like EXECUTE, INSERT, and SELECT. From a security/access control point of view, it provides true least-privilege enforcement. The switch to SAP HANA Cloud from an on-prem system was prompted by its scalability, performance, and centralized cloud identity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

The biggest downside of SAP HANA Cloud is that it doesn't offer native Segregation of Duties to detect conflicting roles. Additionally, the provisioning of HANA Cloud identity services and connecting identity services had some hiccups during the initial setup process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Real-Time Data Platform with Enterprise-Grade Performance"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

What I like most about SAP HANA Cloud is that it combines powerful in-memory performance with flexible cloud scalability. I use it to build data models, run advanced analytics, integrate data from multiple sources, and support applications like SAP S/4HANA and reporting tools. It helps me deliver fast insights, manage different types of data (relational, JSON, spatial, graph), and scale resources whenever the business grows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

One thing I dislike is the cost structure; when you scale memory and compute for high-performance workloads, it can become expensive quickly compared to some competitors. Another challenge is that troubleshooting in cloud environments can feel less transparent than on-prem SAP HANA, since you don’t have full control over the infrastructure layer. Also, certain advanced configurations or deep system-level tuning options are more limited in cloud, which can be frustrating for architects who are used to fine-grained control. "Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for Dashboards"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

I really like SAP HANA Cloud because it's really fast for building and storing data, which is great for finance and logistics. The dashboards are mainly what I appreciate because they allow me to have everything in one place, keeping it organized and not messed up. It's also really nice that you can see everything where you're looking, and it's not too complex like other systems. It's just the right balance, not too sappy or Excel-centric. I value the SQL and database views, and the real-time data processing is a big plus. Moreover, the stability and cloud reliability are what I use the most alongside my colleagues, and I'm really happy with it. Setting it up was smooth and fast, without any challenges. "Great Integration and Security, Needs UI Improvements"
What do you like best about SAP HANA Cloud?

I appreciate SAP HANA Cloud for its robust security features and seamless connectivity, which make it incredibly reliable for managing sensitive data without needing to rely on external services. The ability to have built-in access security and connectivity with tools like VTP is a major advantage. I find the database management features particularly valuable, as they allow me to easily maintain and manage tables, perform SQL queries directly, and engage with data efficiently. The convenience of managing multiple databases and exporting data into Excel or CSV formats adds to its utility. Additionally, the initial setup is straightforward and user-friendly, enhancing my productivity. SAP HANA Cloud's streamlined connectivity options make it far superior to previous platforms like MongoDB, which lacked in security and easy database connectivity. Overall, the combination of security, ease of setup, and the ability to integrate effortlessly with SAP's ecosystem has significantly improved my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP HANA Cloud?

I feel that SAP HANA Cloud can occasionally be slow, which affects my productivity. It sometimes requires multiple refreshes and updates during table replacements, which can be cumbersome. Additionally, I think it could benefit from a more user-friendly interface, as a more interactive UI would greatly enhance usability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
