For instance, scheduling classes is a long process involving multiple screens: screen one must be saved before screen two may be accessed/edited. There are times changes are not kept in spite of saving, and the process is tedious. **Recommendations to others considering SAP for Higher Education and Research:** While it is a reputable and mostly reliable option, SAP lacks certain enterprise features that I personally would like to see (especially in terms of student life-cycle management---it would be wonderful to be able to handle student accounts seamlessly from prospective student, to admissions, to admitted, to alumn, and so forth). Know that trainings may need to be specially developed for those implementing and using SAP, particularly in terms of scheduling and travel requests. It is essential to also employ staff technology support for its various functions. **What problems is SAP for Higher Education and Research solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a scheduler and Student Services employee, I have used SAP to handle course scheduling/auditing, course instructor and room assignments, and management of student advisor assignments. ### 3. It has a lot of capabilities that make it difficult to learn everything.
