"SAP for Higher Ed "

What do you like best about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

There is a level of customization which exists that allows for integration of systems, easy access/maintenance of access (in terms of area such as student records, advising, payroll, etc.), and simplicity to SAP which is rather nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

SAP is rather "buggy" in terms of certain functions. For instance, scheduling classes is a long process involving multiple screens: screen one must be saved before screen two may be accessed/edited. There are times changes are not kept in spite of saving, and the process is tedious. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering SAP for Higher Education and Research:

While it is a reputable and mostly reliable option, SAP lacks certain enterprise features that I personally would like to see (especially in terms of student life-cycle management---it would be wonderful to be able to handle student accounts seamlessly from prospective student, to admissions, to admitted, to alumn, and so forth). Know that trainings may need to be specially developed for those implementing and using SAP, particularly in terms of scheduling and travel requests. It is essential to also employ staff technology support for its various functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAP for Higher Education and Research solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a scheduler and Student Services employee, I have used SAP to handle course scheduling/auditing, course instructor and room assignments, and management of student advisor assignments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

What do you dislike about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

I just use it for paying invoices, creating reqs and POs, I don't have any dislikes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is SAP for Higher Education and Research solving and how is that benefiting you?

"Used this for School and Work"

What do you like best about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

This product has been around for quite awhile and we used it not only in school but at work. It has a lot of features and resources that make integration with other systems easier and make processes work in a more smooth fashion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

"A little clunky but holds a LOT of information"

What do you like best about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

I love how much information can be stored within the portal. And how many different work flows can start from this one program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP for Higher Education and Research?

It may just be our version but it is not very user intuitive or easy to teach to new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
