## SAP Field Service Management Reviews
  ### 1. Excellent Technician Visibility and Field Job Tracking in SAP

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nijat I. | Full-stack Developer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

A large part of what I did related to tracking the field jobs and knowing what the technicians were doing at any given point in time. Rather than calling or messaging to know their current status, I simply had to log into the SAP system and view whether they were assigned a task, working on it, or completing the task. The visibility provided by SAP helped me reduce the number of times I had to "look in" for status updates as well.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

What comes to mind first is that there was no sense of things feeling immediately intuitive. What I mean by this is that at first, I did not know how to navigate around the software since everything felt very compartmentalized, including scheduling, orders, and other resources. There were instances wherein performing certain tasks felt difficult to accomplish, despite the system being able to perform the task. These involved actions such as trying to update or change something quickly while working. In short, there were cases wherein performing the task did not feel as easy as it could have been.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to implementing it, the alignment of the planning process and its implementation relied heavily on communication beyond the system, which would include phone calls, messaging, and manually updated status information. In such a case, misalignment was inevitable as there could be inconsistencies between the plan and implementation. With this system, however, I had a single point of truth on which I could count. There was no need for me to search for information; all I had to do was check the status and respond to it. This minimized many exchanges and facilitated the alignment of processes, particularly when handling several tasks at once.

  ### 2. Efficient solution for managing and optimizing field service operations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharamveer p. | Application Security Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

What I like best about SAP Field Service Management is how well it manages end to end field operations in one platform. It helps with scheduling, dispatching, and real time tracking of field technicians, which improves overall efficiency. The mobile access for technicians is very useful because it allows them to update job status, capture data, and communicate directly from the field. I also like the integration with other SAP solutions, which makes it easier to manage workflows without switching between multiple tools.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

What I dislike about SAP Field Service Management is that the initial setup and configuration can be complex, especially for organizations with customized workflows. It may require some training to fully understand the system, and performance can sometimes feel slow when handling large data or multiple operations at once.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Field Service Management solves the problem of managing field operations manually or across disconnected systems. It brings scheduling, dispatching, and communication into one place, which reduces delays and improves coordination. For me, it helps in tracking tasks more efficiently, improving response time, and ensuring better service delivery.

  ### 3. Simplify work with SAP manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rahul G. | Shift Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

You get all the data related to production, quality, dispatch with just simple T codes and with help of SAP it's easy to manage all this easy and can refer for the previous product recipe

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

The system is often considered too complex and rigid, requiring extensive, time-consuming configuration to map to business processes. The UI is described as not intuitive enough for technicians, leading to high training requirements.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Field Service Management addresses inefficient, reactive field operations by digitizing and automating scheduling, dispatching, and technician workflows. It helps improve first-time fix rates, reduce operational costs, and increase customer satisfaction by enabling real-time tracking, AI-based dispatching, and mobile access to service data

  ### 4. Better Dispatch and Flexibility with SAP FSM

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre J. | Internship, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

I like the user experience and the different workflows that can be built with business rules in SAP Field Service Management. The flexibility to create forms and customize workflows according to my and my customer's needs is something I really appreciate. I also value its integration capabilities, especially with SAP software and call center tools. The product offers more capabilities within FSM, which prompted my team to switch to it. Overall, I find these features make it a powerful tool for dispatching work to technicians and recording essential data.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

History of routes taken by technician with GPS tracking functionality

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Field Service Management to dispatch work, record time entries, and perform checklists, improving service call efficiency and providing a unified tool for recording data on site. It allows me to customize workflows and forms to meet both my and customer needs.

  ### 5. Great real-time visibility and skill matching, but integration issues kept work manual

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James I. | Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

I like how the software offered us real time visibility of something that was somewhat tricky to identify before. Being able to see who’s available and then out of those available correctly skill match with our staff meant we could ensure our customers received the best service. When our overseas clients needed assistance we would previously spend more money sending an entire team out there, whereas now we can send the correct and available specialist.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

Our back-end data wasnt the cleanest when trying to integrate the system, and we had a lot of teething problems which ultimately led to us not continuing the service as it was keeping things manual and taking up a lot of our IT teams’ time. It was also a big shift from our processes beforehand which involved a simple phone call with our engineers to book in a site visit, so took some time to fully integrate.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As previously mentioned; it enabled us to consistently see what staff member was free, and which member of staff was best attributed to the customer request. It ensured we had high customer satisfaction and ensured the more important work was completed first.

  ### 6. Streamlined Scheduling with Real-Time Insights

My favorite features are the easy scheduling, real-time visibility, and the mobile app that enhances efficiency in the field. Easy scheduling saves me a lot of manual effort and ensures the right technician is quickly assigned. Real-time visibility allows me to track job status and technician availability without needing to chase updates. The mobile app is excellent as it keeps technicians productive by providing everything they need while on site.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

Some parts can feel a bit complex and take time to configure, especially during setup. The user interface could also be more intuitive and performance can lag at times when handling larger volumes of data.

I use SAP Field Service Management to fix scheduling inefficiencies, improve fieldwork visibility, and reduce manual coordination. Easy scheduling saves effort, real-time visibility tracks status effortlessly, and the mobile app keeps technicians productive on-site.

  ### 24. Fast and Accurate but Lacks User-Friendliness

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maxime G. | Procurement Specialist Asia Pacific

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

I really appreciate SAP Field Service Management for its accuracy and speed in handling tasks. Its ability to provide highly accurate and fast data retrieval is beneficial, especially when I need to find specific information quickly. The software's capability to offer a variety of options and possibilities when working with it adds a great deal of flexibility in managing tasks like purchasing activities, price and condition changes, and stock management. This versatility enhances my productivity and allows me to handle complex demands effectively.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

I find SAP Field Service Management not very user-friendly, as its transactions are confusing and could benefit from a smoother interface, similar to more modern software solutions. Additionally, there is a lack of options to build automatic dashboards, which limits my ability to visualize data easily. Extracting information is cumbersome, and it is not straightforward to copy and paste tables into sheets, making data handling more time-consuming than necessary.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Field Service Management for purchasing activities, price changes, and stock management. It provides fast, accurate data and allows deep dives into historical activities, but it's not user-friendly and lacks easy dashboard creation and information extraction.

  ### 25. Intuitive Interface, Optimize Processes, and Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** BAO N. | Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

The interface is intuitive and easy to use from the first time. The system optimizes the process of personnel coordination, inventory management, and flexible scheduling very well. It integrates smoothly with other SAP applications, without incurring large system conversion costs. Update work status in real-time to effectively control field tasks.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

Sometimes the system responds a bit slowly when there is a large amount of data or when too many users access it at the same time. Customizing advanced reports is still complex and requires more thorough training. The initial deployment cost is somewhat high, especially for medium and small-sized businesses, and is not reasonable for everyone.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software helps solve the problem of dispatching field technicians, ensuring that work is completed on time and minimizing errors that arise during customer service. By automating the scheduling process and status updates, it greatly saves time and enhances customer satisfaction.

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

I like that SAP Field Service Management provides real-time visibility of field tasks, which makes scheduling, dispatching, and updating jobs very easy. The mobile app is particularly beneficial for our technicians, as it enables them to complete work orders quickly with features like photo uploads, digital signatures, and live status updates. Additionally, the offline mode is notably useful when the network is weak. The system effectively streamlines our end-to-end field operations, enhances coordination between the warehouse, dispatch, and field staff, and improves visibility and productivity across the board. It also significantly reduces paperwork by digitizing work orders and service reports, and automates job assignments based on availability, skills, and location of technicians. This centralized, automated approach minimizes errors and delays, eliminates communication gaps between office staff and field technicians, and ultimately increases service reliability and reduces turnaround time.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

Some features in SAP Field Service Management can be improved. The system can feel slow at times, especially during syncing or loading job details. Customization options are limited, and small configuration changes often require support. The mobile app occasionally lags, and offline mode doesn’t always work smoothly. Reporting and analytics could also be more flexible and easier to use.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Field Service Management to streamline end-to-end field operations, improving scheduling, dispatching, and real-time communication. The mobile application has certain limitations as well, which can be frustrating. Additionally, I think there is a need to enhance AI-powered automation further, focusing specifically on user experience enhancements. There is also an observed need for better integration when it comes to service products and production orders.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I optimize field service operations with SAP Field Service Management, improving scheduling and dispatching. It enhances efficiency and customer satisfaction and seamlessly integrates with SAP ERP and CRM systems, although it needs better AI-powered automation and user experience.

My strong likelihood of recommending this to others is evident from my recommendation scale of 9 out of 10.

I find SAP Field Service Management reduces paperwork and costs, streamlines workflows, and integrates well with asset management, CSM, and ITSM, providing excellent automation and user interface.

  ### 30. Streamlines Service Operations with Real-Time Efficiency

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ayan M. | Associate Research Manager

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

I find SAP Field Service Management incredibly beneficial for managing our day-to-day service operations. It effectively helps us in tracking progress and centralizing all customer requests, making it easier to assign tasks. What stands out is its capability to quickly assign jobs and keep service requests organized. I appreciate how assigning and tracking work is simplified without requiring much follow-up. The real-time updates are particularly valuable, as they spare me from manual checks. I can instantly see who is available, assign jobs quickly, and track progress seamlessly on the dashboard. Furthermore, integrating SAP Field Service Management with other software like SAP ERP and SAP CRM enhances its utility. Overall, it provides an organized system that is far better than using manual spreadsheets and basic scheduling tools.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

I sometimes find the interface of SAP Field Service Management to be a bit complicated, which can be cumbersome during usage. The workflows often require more clicks than they should for completing basic tasks, making the user experience less efficient than I'd like. Additionally, I believe the UI could be simpler, as it currently takes too many steps to complete certain operations. It would greatly enhance the usability if the menus were more intuitive and if the loading times were faster.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP Field Service Management to streamline service operations, quickly assign jobs, track progress, and organize service requests. Its real-time updates reduce manual checking, ease task assignments, and enhance operational efficiency.

  ### 31. A Robust and Scalable Solution for Complex Operations, Despite a Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

What I appreciate most is how seamlessly it bridges the gap between the back office and our field technicians. The real-time visibility from the Dispatching Board has been a game-changer: being able to see exactly where my team is on a map makes scheduling much smarter and easier to adjust on the fly. I also have to call out the mobile app’s offline capability. Many of our technicians work in remote areas or down in basements with zero reception, so it’s a huge relief knowing they can still capture signatures and complete reports without losing any data.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

While the platform is undeniably powerful, it can sometimes feel a bit “bloated.” With such a huge number of features packed in, the interface can come across as cluttered, and that makes the learning curve fairly steep—especially for new users who simply want to handle basic tasks without wading through everything else. As for customer support, my experience has been somewhat hit-or-miss. When we run into a critical technical glitch, the initial replies from the support team often feel scripted or overly generic, which is frustrating when you need a quick escalation to keep operations running smoothly.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before we moved to SAP FSM, we were drowning in manual paperwork and fragmented communication, which often caused scheduling conflicts and delayed billing. Since adopting this tool, everything has been centralized, giving us a single source of truth for each service call. For me personally, the biggest benefit has been the drastic reduction in administrative overhead and the day-to-day back-and-forth that used to slow us down. We’ve also seen a significant improvement in our "First-Time Fix" rate, because technicians now show up with the full asset history and the right parts. That, in turn, translates directly into happier customers and a much more organized workday for me.

  ### 32. Flexible but Pricey and Mobile App Needs Work

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ibrahim B.

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

I appreciate SAP Field Service Management's flexibility, which made it user-friendly even when I was a beginner. This adaptability allowed me to identify and rectify errors efficiently. I find the control over usage across different managerial levels particularly beneficial, as it helps in reducing mistakes. The software's real-time scheduling and dispatching capabilities are invaluable, offering seamless coordination and operational efficiency. Additionally, it integrates well with other tools like SAP CRM for syncing customer information, which enhances its utility and maintains professionalism in management operations.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

I find the mobile app performance of SAP Field Service Management to be lacking, which can be frustrating when working remotely. Additionally, the cost and licensing fees are not favorable, as they seem high for what is offered. The initial setup process was also challenging compared to other software, which made the onboarding experience somewhat difficult.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find SAP Field Service Management flexible for identifying errors and helps in managerial-level usage control, reducing mistakes with real-time scheduling and dispatching.

  ### 33. Highly Effective with Easy Setup, Minor Connectivity Issues

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Magdalena D.

I find SAP Field Service Management useful and very effective. I value the ability to check KPIs and analyze because it gives me the opportunity to have all the information in one place with a very clear view on the results. I also appreciate that the initial setup was very easy and the steps were clear.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

I think it should have a better connection so it doesn’t need to log out every now and then, and the accessibility on the interface could be improved with a better design.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP Field Service Management allows me to upload transport costs and access all information in one place with clear visibility on results, solving connection issues.

  ### 34. Excellent Scheduling and Intuitive Mobile Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vesa N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

I think the scheduling functionality is really nice, and also the mobile user interfaces for technicians.

It also fits well with the other SAP solutions for service business organisations.

Implementation is simple, when you integrated directly to S/4.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

I think this relates more to the overall architecture we have in place, but the integrations FSM > Service Cloud > S/4 makes it hard to have visibility on the issues.

On the mobile solution side we have had challenges when having very high amount of spare parts that need to be uploaded on field technician level to the system.

License price is sometimes an issue as well, for example in lower value adding services (e.g. cleaning). Maybe there could be lower cost option for simpler work. We have created custom BTP apps to lower the license cost, but that feels stupid when there is the needed functionality in place

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting the service fleet work to one platform, having visibility on real time status of required maintenance work and the technicians.
Reducing paper in the process, and data input.

  ### 35. AI Features and Dashboard Make Work Easy and Efficient

The AI features the are added really helped in real-life tracking and made the work easy and efficient. Use of dashboard is very useful in knowing the KPIs

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

Offline functionality needs to be there in some sort. Also the mobile app not so user-friendly and very slow. Need some adjustment in these fields as per my saying.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem SAP has solved for our business is connectivity between the departments and this was a major is issue for us in the past. As for me, the AI help features helped in going through the app in ease.

  ### 36. Comprehensive Documentation Makes SAP Stand Out

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandar Nikola D. | Production Planner, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

Best thing about sap is that everything is documented and every change can be followed up thoroughly. Interface is user friendly, it is extremely basic without any excessive design.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

There might be some excess functions that I personally don’t use, but might be of use for someone else inside the company. Some really basic functions are extremely slow.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using SAP for production planning and order management from customers. It is being incredibly helpful as it is minimizing things I need to remember and is removing a lot of potential “overlooks”

  ### 37. A reliable tool for managing complex field operations with strong SAP integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

What I like best is the visibility and control it gives over field operations. I can see schedules, workloads, and job status in one place, which makes planning and decision making easier. The integration with other SAP systems also stands out, because it reduces duplicate work and keeps data consistent between the office and the field.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

The main drawback is the setup and learning effort. Configuration takes time and usually needs experienced users. New users need proper training before they become productive. Some workflows also feel rigid, which makes quick changes harder compared to lighter field service tools.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the lack of visibility and coordination between office teams and field technicians. Before using it, scheduling changes, job updates, and reporting relied on manual follow ups. With SAP Field Service Management, work status is updated in real time, scheduling is clearer, and fewer tasks fall through the cracks. This improves delivery reliability, reduces delays, and saves time for both the office and field teams.

  ### 38. Efficient Setup, Solves IT Challenges Seamlessly

  ### 43. easy to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa C. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 06, 2025

  ### 44. It gets the job done reliably every da

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Airlines/Aviation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about SAP Field Service Management?**

The standout feature is definitely the AI dispatcher, which consistently reduces travel time and selects the most suitable technician for each job. The mobile app is reliable even when offline and allows us to close jobs quickly. Real-time tracking also helps us maintain our SLA.

**What do you dislike about SAP Field Service Management?**

This software is overly complex for newcomers, requiring extensive training just to get started. Any customization comes with a hefty price tag and takes a long time to implement. For smaller teams, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, as the platform seems designed primarily for large enterprises with significant resources.

**What problems is SAP Field Service Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This solution has resolved the chaos we used to face. By smartly scheduling the right technician, it eliminates unnecessary driving, and gives dispatchers real-time visibility so we never miss our SLAs. Technicians can now close jobs directly from their phones, including parts, time, photos, and invoices, which means no more mountains of paperwork. The result? We’re handling 30% more jobs per day, achieving much higher first-time fix rates, our customers are happier, and for the first time, our service department is actually profitable instead of losing money.
