## SAP CPQ Reviews
  ### 1. SAP CPQ HONEST REVIEW

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Claudia D. | Customs coordinator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

What I like best about SAP CPQ is how structured and flexible the quoting process is. The platform makes it easier to manage complex pricing, configurations, and approvals in an organized way. It helps reduce manual errors and improves consistency across quotes, especially in environments with multiple products, pricing rules, and stakeholders involved.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

One downside of SAP CPQ is that the learning curve can be a bit steep at the beginning, especially for new users or teams without prior CPQ experience. Some configurations and pricing rules require time and technical knowledge to fully understand, and the user interface could feel less intuitive compared to more modern tools. However, once you get familiar with it, the platform becomes much easier to navigate.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP CPQ helps solve issues related to manual quoting, pricing inconsistencies, and complex product configurations. By centralizing pricing rules, approvals, and configurations in one platform, it reduces errors and improves accuracy across quotes. This results in more reliable proposals, better alignment between teams, and faster turnaround times, which ultimately improves efficiency and decision-making.

  ### 2. Intuitive and Efficient Contract Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruna M. | IT Demand Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I find SAP CPQ to be a very intuitive and easy tool to use, which is great because my company didn't have to train employees extensively to use it. Even the ones who needed training got up to speed very quickly. The UX design is what I like the most because it's so simple and user-friendly. It doesn't take too long to use the tool, making it efficient and fast for me. SAP CPQ solves the problem of losing track of contracts by allowing me to manage a huge amount of data in one place. It's easier for me to create reports and track different contracts, especially in a multinational company.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

I know that SAP CPQ doesn't have many possibilities for you to do APIs with it. So I think that's something that could be improved.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP CPQ to track contract deadlines, manage renewals, and handle our entire contract lifecycle efficiently. It prevents losing track of contracts and simplifies report creation since it handles a huge amount of data in one place, especially useful for a multinational company.

  ### 3. User-Friendly with Some Rough Edges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamsin S. | New Business Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I find SAP CPQ easy to use, which makes the process of logging work expenses smooth and straightforward. It's particularly convenient because it works well on an iPad. The tool allows my manager and me to review expenses efficiently, ensuring they’re paid. I appreciate the various receipt functions and the ability to categorize or split expenses with internal employees. The drop-down menu is helpful as it enables me to categorize the type of receipt or expense activity, whether it’s for a lunch, meeting equipment, employee, or customer entertainment.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

Sometimes the app can be a bit clunky and even when I’ve given all the information that it’s asked for, there’ll be warning messages that I have to then go in and edit in order for it to pass through our expense system. I have figured out how to do this now, but I think for a beginner it takes some time to get used to.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP CPQ for logging work expenses. It's easy to use, allows categorizing expenses, and helps me and my manager review expenses efficiently to ensure they're paid.

  ### 4. SAP CPQ Brings Structure, Speed, and Consistency to Complex Quoting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yashar A. | Sr Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

What I like about SAP CPQ is that it brings structure and discipline to what is usually a chaotic process: configuring complex products, pricing them correctly, and generating quotes fast without relying on tribal knowledge.

It’s especially strong when you have a lot of product rules, dependencies, optional components, or region-specific pricing. Instead of sales teams improvising in Excel, SAP CPQ forces consistency and reduces errors.

I also like that it can handle complex pricing logic (discounts, bundles, approvals, margin checks) while still keeping the experience relatively smooth for the user. Once it’s properly implemented, it genuinely speeds up sales cycles.

And finally, it integrates well with the SAP ecosystem, so it feels like a natural fit if the company already runs SAP CRM / S/4HANA and wants a quote-to-cash flow that is connected end-to-end.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

What I dislike about SAP CPQ is that while it’s powerful, it can feel heavy and complex compared to more modern CPQ tools.

The biggest downside is that implementation and customization often take significant time and effort - it’s not something you “plug in and go.” If the product rules, pricing structure, or approval workflows aren’t well designed upfront, it can quickly become messy and frustrating for users.

The UI/UX can also feel less intuitive than competitors, especially for sales teams who expect a fast, lightweight experience. In practice, adoption becomes a challenge unless the system is very well configured and training is done properly.

Finally, SAP CPQ is great when you’re deep in the SAP ecosystem, but if your stack is more mixed, integrations can become painful and costly, and you may end up needing extra middleware or custom development to make everything work smoothly.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP CPQ is solving the problem of quoting complexity at scale.

In large B2B environments, pricing and product configuration are not straightforward - there are different contract terms, service levels, delivery constraints, and customer-specific pricing rules. SAP CPQ helps standardize this by ensuring that quotes are accurate, compliant, and generated consistently, instead of relying on manual Excel models or ad-hoc decision making.

The biggest benefit is that it reduces quote turnaround time while also reducing errors. Sales and account teams can generate structured quotes faster, and approvals (discounts, margins, special terms) are built into the workflow, which reduces back-and-forth with finance and legal.

From my perspective, the value is also in the data: SAP CPQ creates a more reliable record of quoting decisions, pricing logic, and customer configurations. That improves transparency and enables better forecasting, planning, and process optimization across teams.

  ### 5. Strong Configuration Capabilities Offset by High Costs and User Complexity

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jithendra J. | Platform Specialist (Salesforce), Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

The guided selling feature is great - it helps configure complex products without needing deep technical knowledge. Integration with other SAP systems like S/4HANA makes data flow smooth across the entire process.
Most helpful aspects:
Automated pricing rules save tons of time. What used to take days now takes minutes. It keeps pricing consistent across teams and catches configuration errors before they become fulfillment problems.
Key upsides:
Quote turnaround is much faster, accuracy improves, and sales teams can focus on selling instead of paperwork. The mobile access lets reps create quotes right there with customers, which is really convenient. Visual tools also help customers understand what they're getting.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

The initial setup and implementation can be lengthy and complex, requiring significant IT resources and time investment. The learning curve is steep, especially for users without prior SAP experience.
Customization can be challenging and often requires technical expertise or consulting support, which adds costs. The user interface isn't always intuitive compared to some competing CPQ solutions.
Pricing can be expensive, particularly for smaller organizations, and additional modules or features often come with extra costs. Some users find the system can be slow when handling very large product catalogs or complex configurations.
Integration with non-SAP systems sometimes requires workarounds or additional middleware. Reporting capabilities, while functional, aren't always as flexible as users would like without custom development.
Updates and upgrades can be disruptive and require testing across customizations to ensure nothing breaks.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual quoting errors - Before CPQ, sales teams manually created quotes in spreadsheets, leading to pricing mistakes and invalid product configurations. Now the system validates everything automatically, so quotes are accurate the first time. This means fewer order returns and happier customers.
Slow quote turnaround - Complex quotes used to take 2-3 days bouncing between sales, engineering, and finance for approvals. With CPQ, the same quote takes 20 minutes because pricing rules and approval workflows are automated. Sales can respond to customers same-day, which improves win rates.
Inconsistent pricing - Different reps were giving different discounts for similar deals, creating internal conflicts and margin erosion. CPQ enforces standard pricing policies and discount limits across all teams, protecting margins while keeping pricing fair.
Use case example:
When a customer needs a custom equipment package with accessories, the sales rep uses CPQ's guided selling to select compatible components. The system automatically flags incompatible parts, applies volume discounts, routes the quote to the right manager for approval, and generates a professional proposal - all in one session during the customer meeting. This turns a multi-day process into an immediate conversation closer.

  ### 6. Powerful Configuration and Accurate Quotes, But Complex Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kartik G. | Accountant, Accounting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I use SAP CPQ to create accurate quotes, configure products, and streamline the sales process. I like its powerful configuration capabilities and ability to generate fast, accurate quotes. I mainly use SAP CPQ features like product configuration, pricing rules, and quote generation because they help ensure accuracy, reduce errors, and save time. My team has found it effective for quoting and configuration needs.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

Sometimes SAP CPQ can feel complex to configure and performance can slow down with large data. Improving UI simplicity and speed would make it even better. The initial setup was a bit complex and required proper understanding.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP CPQ to create accurate quotes, configure products, and streamline the sales process. It reduces pricing errors, speeds up quote generation, and simplifies complex product configurations.

  ### 7. Driving Quote Accuracy and Margin Protection at Scale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanshika G. | Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

The Constraint Engine is easily the best feature.

Zero-Error Quotes - It acts as a digital supervisor. If a sales rep picks "Option A," the system automatically hides or highlights "Option B" if they aren't compatible.

Margin Protection - I love that you can bake in approval workflows. If a rep tries to discount a product by more than a certain percentage, the "Place Order" button effectively disappears until a manager signs off. It protects the business from "rogue" selling.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

The biggest pain is Setup and Maintenance.

High Barrier to Entry - To get the most out of it, you often need someone who understands scripting. If your business logic changes quickly, you usually have to dive into the code to update the rules.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP CPQ eliminates the chaos of manual quoting by replacing error-prone spreadsheets with a robust, automated rules engine. It prevents sales reps from configuring impossible products and protects margins through automated discount guardrails. For the business, this means faster quote turnaround times, zero order errors, and a seamless flow of clean data directly into the ERP, ultimately letting the sales team focus on closing deals rather than fixing paperwork.

  ### 8. Seamless Quoting with Excellent ERP/CRM Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I appreciate that SAP CPQ automates complex quoting and pricing. It works well because it integrates CRM and ERP systems, keeping everything centralized and making collaboration between sales, finance, and operations much smoother. It connects with CRM and ERP systems so customer data, pricing, products, and orders stay synced automatically, which reduces manual work and errors. SAP CPQ helps reduce quoting errors, speeds up sales proposals, keeps pricing consistent, automates approvals, and makes complex product configurations easier for sales teams.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

It can sometimes feel complex to customize, and certain workflows or integrations may require technical support, which can slow things down. The initial setup was not easy.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP CPQ reduces quoting errors, speeds up sales proposals, keeps pricing consistent, automates approvals, and simplifies complex product configurations for my sales team.

  ### 9. Streamlined Sales with Flexible Pricing & Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vladislav U. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I appreciate SAP CPQ's awesome integration possibilities, which support large enterprise-level sales processes. The flexible pricing rules are a big plus, as they help reduce pricing chaos by structuring and centralizing pricing rules and discount limits. The reliability of our sales process improved significantly with product data syncing and pricing conditions aligning with the backend, reducing the need for manual handovers. The data flows automatically, which is very convenient. Additionally, the perfect documentation and support made the initial setup not hard at all.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

Setup and maintenance require significant effort, not very friendly for business users without admin support.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP CPQ to reduce pricing chaos with structured, centralized rules. It aligns product data and pricing, minimizes manual handovers, and integrates seamlessly to support complex sales processes, enhancing reliability.

  ### 10. Cross-Platform Convenience with Quick Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mustafa H.

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I like the cross-platform availability which makes everything easier. I can submit items on any device and then go back and fill in any details without needing to start again. This helps me submit things while on the go at work, helping me avoid forgetting to take a photo and submit before a deadline. Everything else works as needed, and all sections make sense. The initial setup was very easy after getting my company email, and everything was submitted as I went through my first setup.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

The desktop version takes a while to load compared to the mobile version.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP CPQ makes it easy to create records and handle proofs of payments/receipts. I like its cross-platform availability, allowing me to submit items on any device and fill in details later, which helps me manage tasks on the go without missing deadlines.

  ### 11. Very Easy to Navigate and Highly Customizable

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

It’s very easy to navigate and highly customizable. It’s been the easiest and best tool we’ve used so far. I also love the simplicity, and I rarely run into any technical issues.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

Nothing could really be more eye-catching or visually appealing, but it’s still great overall. I also wouldn’t mind if, at times, it went quicker when creating and updating paperwork.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ordering and simplicity. SAP has really made it easy for us to build proposals quickly and efficiently. I haven’t had any issues or technical problems with it so far, which makes the whole process feel smooth and reliable.

  ### 12. Reliable Expense Management Tool with Minor Drawbacks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mustafa H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I like the ease of use and multi-platform access of SAP CPQ. It means I'm able to submit and check expenses wherever I am on any device, which stops me from being delayed or losing any expense items. The initial setup was quite easy and has worked since.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

The application itself can sometimes take a long time to load. I feel like app start to reliability would also be a good start. Also, sometimes the mobile platform doesn’t give notifications unless you manually check.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP CPQ helps with error checking in large timetables, is easy to use, and offers multi-platform access. I can submit and check expenses on any device, preventing delays or losing expense items.

  ### 13. Easy to Use, Needs Pricing Flexibility

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Enzo R. | Associate Director Sales and Account Management

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

I like that SAP CPQ is relatively easy to use and is usually quick. I also appreciate the automation it provides, along with its relative simplicity, which I find reduces the room for human error. The initial setup was easy too.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

I find that pricing in SAP CPQ is usually not correct and it's hard to correct myself. As an end user, it's impossible to adapt wrong pricing, and I think users should be able to make corrections within a certain limit, not just admins.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP CPQ for creating quotes, and it offers some automation benefits. It's relatively easy to use and usually quick, minimizing room for human error. However, pricing is often incorrect, and correcting it as an end user is difficult.

  ### 14. SAP CPQ Excels at Complex Configurations with a Powerful Rules Engine

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergiu N. | Senior Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

SAP CPQ shines at handling complex product and service configurations. Its rules engine ensures that sales reps only generate valid product combinations, reducing errors and saving time. For companies with lots of variants, this is a huge win.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

While CPQ is configurable, very unique business requirements often require scripting or advanced customization.

This can lead to longer implementation times and higher dependency on technical consultants.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Challenge: Many products have multiple options, dependencies, or compatibility rules. Manual configuration often leads to errors.

SAP CPQ Solution: The rules-based engine ensures only valid product combinations are allowed.

Benefit: You spend less time fixing errors, generate accurate quotes faster, and customers get the correct product every time.

  ### 15. Flexible, Structured Quoting with Seamless Cross-Device Access—Desktop Speed Could Improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** charlotte s. | operations assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

The quoting process is well structured and flexible. The platform makes it easy to manage complex pricing. It’s also available across platforms, so no matter which device I’m using, I can pick up where I left off on another without losing data.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

Loading seems faster on my mobile device than on desktop; otherwise, there’s nothing to write home about. Like most new platforms, it can come with a steep learning curve, but once I got used to it, it was easy to use.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps resolve issues with manual quoting and price inconsistencies by centralising pricing rules. This reduces errors and improves overall accuracy. More reliable proposals also lead to faster turnaround and improved efficiency.

  ### 16. Efficient Quoting with Clean UI, But Can Be Slow at Times

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emiliano M. | Account Development Representative, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about SAP CPQ?**

Clean UI, straightforward workflows, and it makes building quotes fast without a ton of back and forth. Keeps pricing consistent and cuts down on manual errors.

**What do you dislike about SAP CPQ?**

Sometimes it can be very slow, and very rigid too. Customizing complex deals isn’t always as intuitive as it could be.

Customization and advanced pricing logic can be hard to tweak without admin help, which slows things down. I find myself requesting support more than I should, definitely dislike that about it.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inconsistent pricing across deals
Manual quote building that wastes time
Human errors in discounts, approvals, etc.
Slow approval cycles for non-standard deals
Lack of visibility into deal structure and margins

Less time and improved accuracy can be the difference between a lost or won opp..

This benefits me by reducing errors, accelerating the sales cycle, improving quote accuracy, and ensuring alignment between sales and back-office systems.

I would prefer more standardized quotes to streamline this process.","The pricing of SAP CPQ is an area of concern for me, as it is somewhat high, which can be a barrier for continued use or adoption."}

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SAP CPQ to centralize pricing, discounts, and approvals. It reduces errors and pricing, improves customer experience, and empowers self-service for partners, enhancing efficiency in quote, proposal, and contract generation.

**What problems is SAP CPQ solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SAP CPQ addresses the challenge of generating accurate and timely sales quotes, particularly when dealing with complex products that have numerous options. By automating tasks such as pricing, approvals, and proposal creation, it minimizes manual errors and streamlines the entire process, ultimately saving valuable time. In my experience, this tool has made quoting much more efficient, ensured consistency among sales teams, and enhanced customer satisfaction by delivering fast and precise offers.
