If you're using SAP to run your business, it's a natural choice for your ecommerce site. It works well for both B2B and B2C use cases, and for products that have customized structures and data sets. Because it can be so customized, it's overkill for a standard B2C ecommerce sites, but it's nice to be able to have B2B and B2C on the same platform. **What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?** Because it's so customizable, hybris is set-up to be managed via back-end development; this can make it difficult for teams to rapidly make changes to their instance. Hybris's product content management is tied directly into SOLR, its build-in search engine, which drives both search results and product listing (category) pages. Even more so than hybris itself, SOLR often requires developers to make changes that the business would otherwise expect to make themselves. Our primary benefits are that we've been able to ensure that product status and price is always right, despite complicated data tables governing this in SAP. Here are few points that I found best about this product. 1, It has a robust multi-layered architecture that provides loose coupling and helps in easy development and maintenance of the product, 2, There are in-built CMS features, UI features (including angular JS and Spartacus), and also DB integration that makes it a complete suite in itself. 3. The product is easy to migrate on cloud since v6.7, and SAP cloud is quite robust to handle security, traffic management, and CDN services. 4. The serverless development features on the SAP cloud and easy CI/CD pipeline over the cloud help the SAP partners to focus more on the client's requirements without bothering much about infra management and deployments. **What do you dislike about SAP Commerce Cloud?** Here are few points that can be improved. 1. The product is quite heavy in size, with multiple modules and add-ons shipped as part of the bundle itself. A lot of such modules could be served over the cloud or using maven repositories. 2. There is no easy-to-follow user guide to migrate the on-premise product already running on the production to the SAP cloud. As more and more customers are migrating over the cloud, a structured easy to follow guide will be highly useful. 3. There is also no easy way to integrate with in-memory databases instead of using relational databases. 4. More UI technologies, for example, react JS, need to be integrated, or at least a template can be provided out-of-the-box as many organizations are now transitioning towards such technologies. **What problems is SAP Commerce Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?** SAP Commerce Cloud helps in fast delivery of e-commerce solutions to the customers.
