19 SAP BW/4HANA Reviews
I have been using SAP BW4/HANA for the past 5 years, and I have to say that I am very impressed with its performance and capabilities. It is a powerful data warehouse platform that has helped my company to make faster and better decisions.
One of the things I like most about SAP BW4/HANA is its speed. It can process data much faster than previous versions of SAP BW, thanks to the power of the SAP HANA in-memory database. This makes it possible to run complex queries and generate reports in real time.
I also appreciate the simplified data modeling approach in SAP BW4/HANA. It makes it easier to create and maintain data models, which can help businesses to reduce the time and cost of implementing and managing their data warehouse.
SAP BW4/HANA also includes a number of new features that help to improve the security of data stored in the data warehouse. This includes features such as row-level security and column-level encryption.
Here are some specific examples of how SAP BW4/HANA has benefited my company over the past 5 years:
We are now able to generate sales reports in real time, which helps us to identify trends and opportunities more quickly.
We can also use SAP BW4/HANA to run complex simulations to help us to make better business decisions.
For example, we recently used SAP BW4/HANA to simulate the impact of a new pricing strategy on our sales and profits. This helped us to make an informed decision about the new pricing strategy.
We have also been able to use SAP BW4/HANA to improve our customer service. For example, we can now use SAP BW4/HANA to identify customers who are at risk of churning and to take proactive steps to retain them.
Overall, SAP BW4/HANA has been a valuable asset to my company over the past 5 years. It has helped us to improve our decision-making process, to become more competitive, and to improve our customer service.
I would highly recommend SAP BW4/HANA to any company that is looking for a powerful and versatile data warehouse platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have worked with almost 6 versions of SAP BW in my career.

-integration with AMDP Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-because it uses eclipse , sometimes some of the errors are from JAVA and it because difficult to decode. But sap market place and sap wikipedia helps alot with such cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very powerfull for combining non-SAP and SAP data together.
Also the HANA DB based analytic views have very good performance.
HANA views can be converted to web services so other 3rd party applications easily use these web services in order to consume BW4HANA data.
ETL mechanisme and delta data extraction options.
Authorization and Single-Sign-On integration with many reporting tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The BW interface is good to work and allow several joins/blends in the Hana side, offering possibilities to combine data from different tables in one place. It also offers different tools to enhance the overall experience, allowing the user to use the interface to work within the tool and creating reports, collecting data and analyzing results in the application without the need of a BI Tool in the user end Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The SAP BW/HANA interface is great for integration of data but performs really poorly when submitted to a huge amount of data. The problem itself is not in the integration between BW and HANA but actually in the second part where Hana integrates with the BI Tool. If the goal is to only integrate a small amount of data this can be great but if you wanna to integrate really granular data with several amounts of information the user end experience may be really poor, even if the results in HANA/BW seems to be good. I used in the past Hana database, and overall the experience was good, but still with a lot of things to improve, especially the graphical views, which have an horrendous performance.
But in this case we are reviewing SAP 4HANA, which adds a lot of features in case you decide to use HANA as main transactional DB for SAP.
If you are starting a SAP implementation this is a very good option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Performance in general is not the best point of HANA.
Especially the graphical views. They promise that these views are an improvement in terms of performance, but they are not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
