What do you like best about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

SAP BPC report is Ms. excel based, so its really easy to create custom report. Because its really use SAP B/W as the engine, it able to perform complex calculation and logic. easy to implement to SAP Hana or ECC. fast to produce monthly month end closing figure. after closing on SAP Hana or ECC we frequently use it for 3-4 days into consolidation figures. What do you dislike about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

BPC is not suitable for multi-layer (step) consolidation. Because the conversion of the data from each layer will replace the original data to the new data with a new identity. We will lost the audit trail from end to beginning. The customer support from consultant is really critical. because its a high-tech SAP technology. In period of implementation to go live support the frequency of errors are really high. so we must really confident that our support are really reliable. and also today SAP BPC have a really tight competition with SAP Group Reporting (SAP GR). What do you like best about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

The best part of SAP BPC? It's all-in-one. Planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidation - everything in one place. Saves time, cuts errors, and boosts collaboration across the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

BPC can be a beast to set up and isn't the most user-friendly. Plus, it adds another cost on your SAP bill. But if you can tame it, the benefits are great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

SAP Business Planning and Consolidation is ideally suited for company planning and budgeting; also, it aids in the best possible consolidation of group entities and reporting, SAP BPC is a highly effective tool for consolidating a Group that is executing numerous projects at the same time, and it may be extremely beneficial in financial reporting. What do you dislike about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

It takes user training to fully comprehend and operate the tool, and without training, the user would feel uncomfortable with all of its modules. APIs and other integrations with business tools can be worked on by the software developer, the current dynamism, however, must be maintained in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

This system is powered by our older ECC, Oracle, and Excel-based systems, extremely helpful tool for implementing any supply chain work for our clients. SAP Support is SAP BPC unique selling point. Plenty of easy-to-use choices, rapid learning, and BADI and script integration make it quite handy. Business users are typically familiar with Excel and BPC, as long as they connect with Excel through the EPM Add-in, business users are pleased with the ability to compare multiple versions of planning provisions. What do you dislike about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

The biggest disadvantage is the user interface, which detracts from the overall attractiveness of usability. For SAP BPC to be extensively adopted in our business, the interface has to be enhanced. Before data can be used, it must be updated several times. It should be made less reliant on IT, coding should be reduced, and more standard features and packages that can handle the most frequent cases should be available. The data loading procedure may also be reduced, master data and hierarchies can be optimized, and finally, script documentation is relatively restricted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

The beast part about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation is the availability of both the capabilities in a single tool, the support of SAP and the integration with the warehousing layers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

One needs to spend a lot of time and efforts on getting used to the tool. The initial set up is very highly IT dependent. The cost of setting up is high and not for medium level corporates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC)?

The standard SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) solutions used macros- VB codes which made the application very heavy and had performance issues.
