"The Best Tool for Trucking Operations"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I use Samsara for stakeholder reporting and operational accounts payable accounting. I really like the accuracy and precision of the data it provides. The interactive map is great for seeing where our drivers are and accessing key data about our trucks. The data related to miles and fuel economy is always the most accurate in Samsara compared to other platforms like Fleet One. I think the new AI-powered tools have great potential, even though they're not fully operational yet. The initial setup was very easy. I believe it is by far the best tool for trucking operations available for carriers like us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

The AI assistant has amazing potential for report building, but right now it struggles to do the tasks that I ask it to do. It seems to be a pretty outdated model and does not have great problem-solving skills compared to ChatGPT or Gemini. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Fleet Tracking and Safety Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

What I like best about Samsara is the real-time GPS tracking and how much control it gives us over our fleet. We run multiple trucks daily, and being able to see where every vehicle is at any time has made a huge difference in how we operate.

The live tracking and alerts help us stay on schedule, reduce unnecessary drive time, and quickly adjust when things change. It’s cut down a lot of the guesswork and constant phone calls to techs asking where they’re at. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

It's disappointing that April is no longer our account manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple, Reliable Platform for Smarter Fleet Management"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

What stands out most about Samsara is how easy it is to use—the UI is clean, intuitive, and doesn’t take long to learn. It integrates well with other tools, which makes workflows smoother. Performance is reliable, with real-time data that’s actually useful. Pricing can feel high upfront, but the ROI is clear through efficiency and visibility gains. Support and onboarding are solid, with helpful guidance when setting things up. The AI features add value by surfacing insights and helping with smarter decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

NothingSome parts of Samsara can feel expensive, especially for smaller teams. The reporting and customization options, while powerful, can be a bit limited or take time to configure exactly how you want. Occasionally, the platform can lag or have minor glitches. Integrations are good but not always seamless with every system. Support is generally helpful, but response times can vary. The AI insights are useful, but sometimes they feel basic rather than deeply actionable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Tracking with Minor Connectivity Hiccups"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I appreciate how Samsara provides ease of use and detailed information on the exact location as well as the historical movements of assets. The large view map feature is especially useful compared to others where the map is just a small portion of the screen. Searching for specific assets is easy and quick. The initial setup was very easy. I also like that I can provide ETA information for products we are hauling, which is crucial for our customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

There's times when GPS connections are flaky or non-existent. This can become very frustrating. I think the tracker should ping a connection at least once per hour regardless if the asset is hooked up to a power or not moving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One-Stop Solution for Freight Logistics"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I find Samsara to be a robust tool for freight logistics, offering everything needed in one app. I appreciate being able to see my drivers' location, their safety habits, and mileages, and it's convenient to communicate with them through messages in the system. The cameras are a great feature, proving drivers' safe behavior, and the GPS location tracking is excellent. It's also great for communicating directions, gate assignments, and other information. Samsara is a complementary tool for our operations, from routing to maintenance. Everyone was pleased with the company's decision to switch to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

There are few limitiations that would prompt a response for this question. I cannot think of anything I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful dashboard in todays livery software that is unmatched."
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

As the Fleet Manager, you hold the key to efficient operations with a powerful dashboard at your fingertips in the office. And when you're on the road or away from your laptop, the mobile app offers the same robust functionality. Imagine the ease of quickly accessing a mechanical receipt while traveling—it's a game-changer for your vendors and enhances your operational efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Many features are available a la carte, which can be a bit frustrating. For instance, adding more pictures to your Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (DVIR) incurs additional costs, but when you manage a large fleet, these expenses can really add up. The same goes for the maintenance module. While the basic platform is included with your initial purchase, it's hard to resist the appealing add-ons that come at an extra cost per vehicle per month, and before you know it, your bill can start to escalate. It's worth considering these factors to ensure you make the best investment for your fleet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Vehicle Tracking, Safety Insights, and Helpful AI Guidance"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

It has many useful functions. When I log in, I can see a map showing all vehicles in motion, and I can also check whether the driver is logged in. I can also get a weekly recurring report on drivers safety performance for a specific location or a group of employees. AI function helps you find information and steps how to get to that function Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

Following distance is hard to determine and we do not get a lot of occurrences for drivers. I know our some of our drivers are following too close to other drivers but we get minimal occurrences on any drives. They setting will not let you or shorten the time to pick these occurrences up. They get a warning 1st so we do not get a true picture of drivers following too closely to other vehicles which could cause accidents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Safety Reports, Maintenance Scheduling, and Alerts That Keep Us on Track"
5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

I like the safety reports and the vehicle maintenance schedule. It’s also helpful to get alerts when drivers are doing things they aren’t supposed to, and to be able to track those issues over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

I dislike how tricky it can be to find specific reports. I’m the only one at our company who understands most of the app, but even then, tracking down certain reports or pieces of information can still be difficult. Other than that, I don’t really have any additional dislikes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Fleet Tracking and Safety with Samsara"

What do you like best about Samsara?

I like the live tracking feature in Samsara because it helps me get better ETA to my customers. It's also useful for monitoring my driver's safe driving. I can coach the driver when they make a mistake, such as running a stop, by showing them a video and addressing the issues in real-time. The initial setup was very easy, which I really appreciated. "“Powerful fleet insights, but pricing needs improvement”"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Samsara?

Samsara stands out for its clean UI and ease of use, making it simple to manage fleet data without much training. It integrates well with other tools, though setup can take some effort. Performance is reliable with real-time tracking, and while pricing is on the higher side, the ROI is strong if you actively use its features. Onboarding is smooth and support is generally helpful. The AI features are practical, offering useful insights for safety and efficiency rather than just flashy add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Samsara?

is the high and sometimes unclear pricing, along with long-term contracts that limit flexibility. The platform can occasionally have minor bugs or delays, and the AI alerts can feel overly sensitive at times. Support and customization can also be inconsistent depending on the issue.
