## SailPoint Reviews
 ### 1. SailPoint: Robust Identity Governance with a Steep Complexity Curve

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reynold R. | Senior Associate Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

SailPoint excels at automating the user lifecycle. It has significantly reduced the manual workload for our IT team during onboarding and offboarding by ensuring new hires have the right access on day one, and that access is revoked immediately when someone leaves the company.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

SailPoint is a robust identity management solution, but many users find the implementation complex and the learning curve steep. In practice, it often requires specialized technical expertise, which can make deployment and ongoing maintenance resource-intensive. On top of that, the high licensing costs and an interface that can feel unintuitive at times may be notable drawbacks, especially for smaller organizations.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SailPoint helps solve “access sprawl” by automating how identities are managed across both cloud and on-premise systems. It benefits me by ensuring secure, day-one access to the tools I need, while also reducing manual work for IT teams. By enforcing least-privilege access and automating compliance audits, it can significantly reduce security risk and cut down on operational overhead for organizations.

 ### 2. Resourceful Identity And Access Management Solutions, but Expensive Fee

 ### 3. SailPoint Delivers Scalable, Audit-Ready Identity Governance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

We use SailPoint primarily for identity governance, and it has been very effective in giving us a clear, centralized view of who has access to what across our environment. Its strongest value for us is in access certifications, audit readiness, and policy-based controls, which are critical in a regulated enterprise.

SailPoint has also helped us automate joiner, mover, and leaver processes, reducing manual access management and limiting excess or orphaned access over time. The role- and policy-driven model supports our least-privilege goals and separation-of-duties requirements, and its integrations work well across hybrid and cloud systems.

This isn’t a lightweight IAM tool; it’s built for scale, governance, and long-term identity hygiene. For large organizations that need structured, auditable access control and sustained risk reduction, SailPoint has proven to be a solid, reliable platform.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Our onboarding experience wasn’t the best. Our system integrator wrote custom code instead of using out-of-the-box functionality. In addition, the SI used AI to try to translate data from our homegrown IGA, and it wasn’t accurate in how it lined up the data. Then, once we were onboarded, we lost our sales rep. Shortly after that, the customer service team was turned into a pool of resources rather than dedicated support, so we weren’t given the customer support or guidance we needed. However, this has been resolved and now being supported appropriately.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re now at a point where we’re consistently audit-ready, with recertification campaigns and approval reports available in a very short amount of time, instead of relying on much longer manual validation processes. Additionally, we’re speeding up our provisioning and deprovisioning activities, which helps us keep access changes moving quickly and more smoothly overall.

 ### 4. Streamlined Identity Management with Powerful Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonny W. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I use SailPoint as the Identity Management System for identity, governance, and administration at my enterprise level healthcare organization. I like that SailPoint allows us to set up access automation, reducing the time spent on provisioning and deprovisioning accounts. The ability to automate these processes is very valuable, saving many hours of work and ultimately money each week. I appreciate using Role Based Access Control, which ensures that people are given the least access required and can demonstrate this to auditors. I also love the flexibility to create automation and continually build, grow, and improve it, enabling our identity and access structure to scale with the organization. SailPoint is connected to various applications like Active Directory, Entra ID, Outlook, and Epic, and it assists with all of them. The vendor provided hands-on expert help during the implementation, which was essential given the complexity of the setup.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

SailPoint's built-in AI agent, the Harbor Pilot, is very basic and rudimentary compared to agents like Copilot. It seems to be a work in progress still. It could be improved to be more of an Identity Copilot, with visibility into the status of connected applications and identity states.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SailPoint to automate provisioning and deprovisioning, reducing manual work and saving time. It improves identity and access visibility, enhances security with least privilege access, and scales our identity management efficiently.

 ### 5. Access Management using Sailpoint

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Varun S. | Software Development Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

Sailpoint streamlines the process of raising requests for several access or apps for myself or my entire team.
The workflow even identifies the steps on which the request is currently at so that I can ask the respective approver to work on that effectively.I use it mostly for internal use and every time a new joiner is on-boarded. We have a set of apps and accesses needed to work on the Development team and all of it is taken care using Sailpoint. The integration is proving to be better than the usual JIRA or ITHELP requests.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

The managers have to review who has access to what can feel old-fashioned and confusing. It can make a simple task harder than it should be. Sailpoint allows to make the tool do almost anything with custom code, that can backfire. When it's time to update to a new version, all that special code can break, creating a lot of extra, unexpected work.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Raising access requests for my team is so much simpler now, I can easily request apps or permissions for myself or for multiple people at once.
What I really appreciate is how simple the workflow is. I can always see exactly where a request is stuck, which means I know who to approach next without guessing. It saves us all a lot of time.

 ### 6. Identity Governance & Access provisioning made easy by Sailpoint

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 14, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I like SailPoint's strong identity governance capability, which provides centralized visibility, automated access control, and auditability. These features enforce governance controls while delivering clear and auditable evidence across user access management, helping to reduce the overall risk of identity-related threats.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Sometimes it can be complex to implement in hybrid infrastructure and legacy applications. In these situations, it requires customized connectors and ongoing tuning to make it work. I wasn't part of the implementation team, but I think they spent around 4-6 months to completely roll this out to production. I guess it was not easy.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SailPoint centralizes identity governance by automating user access provisioning and deprovisioning, which reduces manual effort. It enforces governance controls, offers centralized visibility into user access, and improves auditability. Overall, it helps reduce risk related to identity threats. We've been able to achieve success at affirm by onboarding Sailpoint to manage all our SaaS tools and Cloud environment access management. The ease of configuring the entitlement management and providing fine grained access control actually helped us to follow Principle of least privilege and have a better security posture for the organisation.

 ### 7. SailPoint Makes Identity Governance and Access Workflows Effortless

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

SailPoint is one of the best tools for identity and governance management. I currently use this tool in my company, and as a SailPoint developer I find it very helpful for handling access requests, policies, certifications, and many other features that I use regularly. It’s an industry-recommended tool for any company that wants to control and manage its identity workflow effectively.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

From my side, there’s nothing I dislike about this tool based on my usage. In fact, it makes my work easier and helps me understand my users better.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can point out more than five benefits. When I want to check whether a user needs access or not, I can simply use the certification to verify if they really need it. Using policies also helps me restrict users who are not eligible for certain kinds of actions. In addition, I can connect to multiple target applications, and for each application I can update or delete from SailPoint itself. Overall, there are many benefits in SailPoint.

 ### 8. Streamlined Access & Identity Management with a Clean Approval Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

You can manage access management and identity for multiple enterprise applications all in one place. The clean approval process makes it easy for application owners to review incoming requests and grant access as they come in. It also offers support and integration with a wide range of applications.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Although Sailpoint is great at providing identity management, it comes with a lot of complexity when it comes to learning the tool, implementing the base platform, and integrating it with each application. As a result, it takes a lot of cycles from both the Sailpoint and application teams.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an enterprise, we have many applications that are part of our ecosystem. With SaaS in motion, some platforms host multiple applications, and Sailpoint helps us manage IAM for each one. It also provides an interface for users to raise access requests. In addition, it supports audits and governance, helping ensure that no unwanted access is granted.

 ### 9. SailPoint Streamlines Access Automation and Strengthens Security

SailPoint is very strong in automating processes that were historically manual and slow: access granting, permission reviews, user certifications, risk detection. This reduces human errors and increases security.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

In addition to the license, the cost of:

implementation,
specialized consulting,
ongoing maintenance.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Excessive access and lack of control over permissions
Problem:
Many companies accumulate permissions over time, which creates risks and a lack of visibility into who can access what.
How SailPoint solves it:

Automates access reviews
Suggests appropriate permissions using machine learning
Identifies incompatible or suspicious access

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

The user friendly interface and the capabilities of it all to suit our business needs and requirements.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Sometimes it can be hard to find what is needed but most of the time it’s down to user training and knowing how it all works

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am pretty much new to the role and using Sailpoint at the moment I am enjoying the automation side of things as well as the access management and being able to configure user access based on Criteria.

 ### 12. Transformative Identity Management with Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Saurabh G. | Senior Director- Global Head CyberSecurity Engineering, Architecture & Projects, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I had a wonderful experience at SailPoint Navigate 2025, appreciating the booth panels and customer success sessions. The platform approach of SailPoint is impressive, particularly in how it is continually bringing in more capabilities for future identity feature sets. I find this continuous improvement promising. Additionally, SailPoint has significantly enhanced my work processes by enabling the onboarding of 60 applications and simplifying the lifecycle journey for end users. The platform's flexibility allows me to incorporate my cybersecurity efforts, conduct quarterly access recertifications for admin identities, and automate aspects of my HRMS solution that were previously manual. This automation has been a game changer. Furthermore, the initial setup of SailPoint was straightforward, thanks to excellent support from Salesforce Professional Services and a partner, making the process smooth despite its technical nature.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

I find that while things have been generally fine, there are delays in delivering some requested features in the roadmap. This affects how quickly we can access new functionalities, which can be frustrating as it could potentially slow down our progress or prevent us from implementing certain features efficiently.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SailPoint modernizes our identity management, enabling us to onboard 60 applications easily and automate HRMS tasks, previously manual, streamlining the lifecycle journey for users.

 ### 13. Global Identity Management Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vivian P. | IAM Product Lead , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

Since adopting SailPoint ISC in 2021, we've seen steady progress in establishing it as a global tool for managing identities, user accounts, and access. The platform has proven to be a solid foundation for centralized identity governance, offering key functionalities that support compliance and operational efficiency across regions.
ISC remains a strategic asset in our identity management landscape. Its scalability and integration capabilities make it well-suited for global deployment, and we appreciate its potential to unify identity processes across diverse environments.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

However, the pace of improvements has not always aligned with our expectations. While some enhancements have been valuable, others have taken longer to materialise, which has occasionally impacted our ability to respond quickly to evolving business needs.

We encourage continued investment in:

- Faster rollout of enhancements, especially those impacting automation and regional compliance.
- Improved user experience and interface responsiveness.
- More flexible configuration options to support time zone-sensitive processes and localized needs.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accelerated Rollout of Enhancements
While SailPoint ISC has introduced valuable features over time, the pace of improvements has been slower than anticipated. A particular concern is the IDEA portal, which is intended to facilitate user-driven innovation. Unfortunately, it has not functioned effectively—many ideas submitted since the beginning of the project remain unaddressed, with little to no interaction from the product management team. We strongly encourage more proactive engagement and transparency in the enhancement pipeline.

Enhanced User Experience and Interface Responsiveness
The platform would benefit from a more intuitive and responsive user interface. Streamlining navigation, reducing latency, and improving the overall user journey would significantly enhance productivity and user satisfaction.

Flexible Configuration for Time Zone and Regional Needs
As a global organization, we require more adaptable configuration options to support time zone-sensitive processes and localized compliance requirements. The ability to tailor settings by region or country is essential for ensuring operational accuracy and meeting local regulations. This flexibility would make ISC more effective and scalable across diverse geographies.

 ### 14. Robust Security and Easy Setup Make SailPoint a Top Choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepika N.

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I have been using SailPoint for user lifecycle management and find it incredibly beneficial for user access review. I particularly like the security features it offers, such as regular data backups and robust endpoint protection, which make me feel confident about the safety of our data. Its adaptability is another standout feature, allowing it to fit seamlessly into our operations. The initial setup of SailPoint was also quite easy, which I found to be a great advantage. Overall, these aspects contribute to my high satisfaction with SailPoint, as evidenced by my willingness to highly recommend it with a score of 10.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

I find the revocation requests in SailPoint to be challenging or lacking in some respects.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SailPoint for user lifecycle management and user access review, benefiting from its security, adaptability, regular data backup, and robust endpoint protection.

 ### 15. IGA Leader

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amit B. | Senior Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

SailPoint offers an easy to navigate product with extensive documentation which makes implementation a manageable task. The product comes with a whole lot of product specific connectors and also some standard connectors which can be used to integrate with a wide variety of systems. The user community of SailPoint is also quite active and supportive.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

While the platform is feature rich and they have a steady pipeline of features being rolled out, ideas from customers can take a long time to get on the roadmap. The other thing which I displiek about SAilPoint is the reluctance of their support team to get on a call to resolve issues. They are happy exchanging emails over days/weeks on issues which can be resolved over a 10 minute call.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SailPoint is helping me automate a range of governance activities and broaden the identity conversation.

 ### 16. Love the product, provided that it is implemented correctly.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek-jan H. | Director, Information Security Management, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

SailPoint provides outstanding orchestration and governance capabilities that, when properly implemented, can significantly strengthen identity lifecycle management across the enterprise. Its ability to centralize and enforce IGA controls is one of its greatest strengths—allowing organizations to automate complex workflows, maintain compliance, and improve operational efficiency.

However, realizing this value depends heavily on a well-structured deployment and standardized utilization. The platform offers strong ease of use once processes are established, but it’s not a simple “plug and play” solution. To unlock its full potential, organizations must invest the time to design thoughtful governance models, align business processes, and maintain disciplined operational practices.

When these elements are in place, SailPoint delivers impressive results: streamlined provisioning, stronger security postures, and better visibility and control over identities and access across the environment.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

While SailPoint is a strong platform, it can become overly complex when organizations lean too heavily on customizations. Excessive tailoring often introduces unnecessary technical debt, making upgrades and long-term maintenance more difficult.

In SailPoint IIQ specifically, it can be challenging to get clean, easily interpretable data to fully understand the underlying logic and processes. This can slow down troubleshooting and limit visibility for teams who weren’t part of the original build. Additionally, application onboarding in IIQ can be cumbersome and time-consuming, often requiring significant engineering effort and coordination.

Although SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) introduces new features that address many of these pain points—such as standardized connectors and improved onboarding frameworks—IIQ still places the burden on the organization to manage complexity carefully. For teams still on IIQ, these challenges can impact ease of use and slow the pace of identity governance modernization.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SailPoint has been instrumental in helping us centralize and automate our identity governance, moving us away from manual processes toward more standardized controls. This shift has improved our compliance, sped up provisioning, and provided us with clearer visibility into access throughout the organization. As a result, we have strengthened our security and enhanced our overall operational efficiency.

 ### 17. SailPoint IDN: Cloud-Native IAM with Too Many Gaps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 01, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

No on-prem infrastructure required, making it easier to deploy and scale for modern IT environments. This is the biggest advantage of choosing IDN.
Supports a wide array of out of the box connectors and APIs for integrating with cloud and on-prem apps.
As a SaaS product, it receives regular updates and patches without customer side maintenance.
While not perfect, recent UI improvements for end-user access requests and certifications have made certain tasks easier

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

The interface is overly basic and lacks essential features, you can’t sort access certifications or search within them, making navigation and management unnecessarily tedious.
Identity refreshes happen twice daily at approximate times, but you can't control when. Documentation is vague on the exact timing, which complicates planning and troubleshooting.
The platform is poorly documented. Common issues take weeks for support to resolve, and when you ask for docs, you often get pointed to outdated or irrelevant material.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manual Identity & Access Management (IAM) Processes. Having comprehensive life cycle management for the users.
Lack of Visibility into Who Has Access to What.
Compliance and Audit Challenges

 ### 18. SailPoint IIQ best in class

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pradeep K. | Lead SW Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 30, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

This is the best product I have used, and it is very easy to operate. I have been using it for the past four years after migrating from OIm. We have been able to use it for all possible use cases. In particular, I handle user access reviews, and the product supports millions of line items seamlessly. I feel fortunate to have this product, as it has helped us strengthen our security.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

We have certain use cases where we want to provide access to end users, but making UI changes to improve their experience is not straightforward. As a result, we often end up looking for external solutions.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organization faces complex compliance requirements, which means we must provide evidence for both internal and external audits. We also manage onboarding and offboarding service level agreements, conduct user access reviews, and address a variety of IAM use cases.

 ### 19. Sailpoint your true IGA platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemanth K. | Head of Cyber Identity & Engineering I Information Security, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

It provides identity governance and connects to multiple sources across the business.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

There is no straightforward licensing process, and the SAP modules are very complicated to license. Overall, there isn’t a clear structure, which makes it difficult to understand what’s needed.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Correlating non-managed identities and linking identities across multiple sources of truth within the business, especially in organizations with complex structures.

 ### 20. Practical Tool for Access Governance

I really like the practicality of the SailPoint tool. Its functionality helps me in the development, auditing, and governance of access in an efficient manner. The experience with SailPoint improved significantly after installation and integration with other applications, which greatly facilitated the processes. The usability of the tool is highly appreciated, as it simplifies complex tasks related to identity management.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

There is nothing

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SailPoint to manage identities and access governance, facilitating audits and development. The convenience significantly improves our process.

 ### 21. sailpoint review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankitha K. | IAM Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

What I like best about SailPoint is its ability to provide centralized, automated identity governance across a diverse set of applications. The platform's flexibility in customizing provisioning workflows, implementing RBAC, and enforcing access policies makes it both powerful and scalable. I also appreciate how access reviews and audit trails are built-in, which helps ensure compliance without added complexity.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

While SailPoint is powerful and flexible, one challenge I’ve faced is that certain customizations — especially around rules, workflows, and connector configurations — can become complex and require deep technical knowledge. Also, error messages aren't always descriptive, which can slow down troubleshooting. However, with experience and proper logging, these issues become manageable.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SailPoint is solving the critical problem of managing user access across a growing number of applications in a secure, automated, and compliant way. It helps eliminate manual provisioning, ensures that only the right people have the right access at the right time, and supports periodic access reviews for compliance. This benefits me by streamlining identity governance processes, reducing risk, and giving better visibility into who has access to what — all from a centralized platform.

 ### 22. Easy Access Control Across Apps with Straightforward API Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

SailPoint makes it really easy to control access to multiple programs. I was not involved with the implementation but with the ease of API's the integration seems to be rather straightforward. I also like that it can be setup to reach out to managers on a periodic basis to ensure access should remain or be revoked.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Nothing that I can think of at the moment.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integrates SSO for multiple applications we use. It also allows RBAC which is essential to ensure access rights remain constant.

 ### 23. One of the best IGA Tools in the Market is SailPoint IIQ

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vijay M. | SR IAM Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 31, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I like SailPoint becuase for their high quality products such as SailPoint IdentityIQ and SailPoint Identity Security cloud. They are the leaders in the IGA Space. They have broad list of connectors to support different applications integrations. SailPoint products are robust.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

I am disappointed working with SailPoint support time. Most of the time support team asks for the unnecessary details when we raise a case with support team. When folks from India raises tickets we get a response in different timezone by that time we can't replay immediately. In India working hour we will replay and then some one from onsite team replies back during night time, this process goes many days. When we ask for the call or meeting in overlap hours they denies.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, we have implemented Lifecycle events such as Joiner and Leaver. We also automated user access reviews for couple for LDAPS to support SOX and SOC Compliance.

 ### 24. Easy Deployment and Great Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike A. | Identity Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

It's an awesome tool that allows us to automate our onboarding and offboarding tasks with ease. I like the ability to create custom workflows for situations that need it.
When we've had issues, SailPoint's support team has been pretty on top of things. They respond quickly and I've had some team members go above and beyond to try and help us troubleshoot what is going on.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

The only downside I've experienced so far is with links from guides. Sometimes they are broken links to pages no longer available. To go along with that, sometimes the error messages we receive in the tenant aren't always so detailed, which forces us to open a case with Support.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a current business process that is supposed to disable contractors if they are not active within a certain amount of time. With the option of Workflows, we were able to work with our implementation partner and create a Workflow that tracks users logon timestamps, and will disable if they are not signing in within a certain time frame.

 ### 25. Best IAM product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dheeraj K. | Senior software engimeer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

Sailpoint’s reach connector support along with dedicated offerings for Saas and On-prim installation provides customers to select there product best suited for their needs.

While my association with SailPoint primarily on IdentityIQ, I have really enjoyed implementing complex business cases with ease of customisation supported by available hooks in with different kinds of rules. IdentityIQ is primarily for complex costumers which there unique needs where costumers needs more control
Of there IAM implementation, however you also get dedicated and professional support through their support portal.

While we have IdentityIq for customers with more complex and larger user bases we do have Saas offerings with matching capabilities where you can have a mature IAM offering as a service with Identity Security Cloud.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

For IdentityIQ I believe there could be more use cases which can be given importance like non-human user and device management so that it could cater the need for managing use cases to support external identities as well ex: banking domain.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating user access review does support solving a lot of auditing and control
Overhead, while automated LCM saves overall turnaround time for new joiners and leavers insuring while we automate, we continue to be compliant.

 ### 26. Effortless Setup, Yet Limited Customization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krunal S. | IAM Specialist

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I find SailPoint easy to set up and deploy, which simplifies the initial implementation process and reduces the time and resources needed to get the system running effectively. Additionally, I appreciate SailPoint's ability to connect with a variety of target services, enhancing its flexibility and allowing for seamless integration with existing infrastructure. This connectivity ensures that my identity governance and administration tasks are well-coordinated and efficiently managed, which is crucial for maintaining security and compliance within our organization.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

SailPoint offers very limited customization possibilities.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use SailPoint for provisioning, RBAC, and automating access requests, certifications, and approvals, which simplifies identity governance and administration.

 ### 27. Continued Platform Investment and Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

What I like most is that SailPoint continues to invest heavily in their SaaS solution, looking for ways to enhance the overall capabilities of their product. This leads to increasing opportunities for expanded usage and modernization. It is also fairly intuitive product that is easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

There are really 2 things that I dislike. First, the support model for their tooling that always consists of looking to push you toward a paid service and the paid service is essentially on a token system. You get so many tokens depending on how much money you give them, but those tokens expire after a year. The other thing is also related to pricing and costs. SailPoint has invested in the addition of features and modules that support their core product, but everything comes at an additional cost. DAS, NERM,Risk Mgmt, Pwd Mgmt, etc

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provisioning and LifeCycle Management Automation are the biggest wins for us with using SailPoint. We also use it heavily for Access Requests and User Access Certifications and continue to expand on that usage regularly.

 ### 28. A smart and efficient identity journey

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leonardo F. | IAM Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

The easy way of getting things done. From the tradicional LCM to complex workflows, SailPoint delivers a incredible set of tools to empower your team to deliver more with less effort. Being a data-centric solution, all features are connected so we can make sure that all people and machines have the right access at any time.
The support team helps with problems and the design of new capacities as well, not letting us alone in the path.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

We still need to do a lot of code to make everything run smoothly, and this can get very difficult to control since tiny details can derive huge impacts - for good and for bad.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To deliver more with efficiency and quality, while reducing the risk exposure and providing a nice user experience for our employees and nom-employees.

 ### 29. User Feedback on SailPoint Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhilliraj R. | Cyber Security Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

SailPoint for its robust identity governance, strong security posture, automation that saves time and costs, compliance facilitation, and scalable architecture suited for complex enterprises

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Licensing fees, infrastructure expenses, and ongoing maintenance make SailPoint a costly solution, which may be prohibitive for smaller organizations or those with limited budgets

Slow response from Technical support team and tries to move most of the solution to Expert services

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SailPoint provides a centralized, real-time view of all user identities and their access rights, helping detect unauthorized access and prevent security breaches
Many organizations struggle to enforce proper access controls, leading to excessive permissions and security vulnerabilities. SailPoint automates role assignments and enforces least privilege principles
Automation of identity lifecycle tasks and self-service access requests reduce manual workload for IT teams, allowing focus on strategic initiatives

 ### 30. Best tool for Identity/Access and Group Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ajeet Y. | CTO, Banking, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

Sailpoint is the amazing tools for identity/groups management for large enterprises. It provides smart automation for on boarding and offboarding. This Application is quite user friendly and easy to use. Also application performance is so good. Easy to setup and manage

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Sailpoint is good in most the area but Support is big concern . They should setup smart AI Agent for quick resolution of issues.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sailpoint helped my organization to manage AD Groups

 ### 31. Mixed feelings

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

SailPoint is fairly good at listening to their customers and often flexible enough to adjust to their needs. Their product portfolio and the offerings themselves have matured significantly over the years and are now getting to a pretty solid point. Furthermore, with the introduction of SailPoint's developer community, they've managed to bring together the engineers from both the vendor and customer sides, which has been great great. Last, but not least, their customer success managers have been a pleasure to work with and serve as real advocates for the customers. :)

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

Customer support is and has always been a struggle, particularly when it comes to observed issues and bugs. There is little to no clarity on how long it's going to take to solve any given issue, unless it's the whole tenant is unavailable. Other than that, despite the great strides in maturing the products, there is still some very basic (and I'd argue core) IGA functionality missing from the product, although it's already being worked upon.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All things identity and access management - SailPoint helped us get rid of fragmented legacy IAM systems and move to a singular solution.

 ### 32. The leader in IDM

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2025

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

They've been in the game the longest and have thought the longest about all of the use cases in identity management. Moreover, they have a lot of talent that has been there 10+ years, so they have true experts that can explain how things work and help organizations get ISC up and running quickly. ISC is quickly being brought up to, and beyond, feature parity with IIQ.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

IIQ was and still is kind of a mess, but in a system with so much customization possible with fewer and fewer competent devs, this is to be expected. To some extent, there is a focus on AI when regular feature development might be more useful.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sailpoint is working on making IAM idiot-proof, which if you've been in the game a while you know that it is something that is sorely needed.

 ### 33. Sailpoint Admin review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tommy L. | sailpoint admin, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

There are some things features that are needing improvements but not that many. I'm happy to see at this Navigate the workflow enhancements that are on the way, that will make my job easier.

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we've automated self service password resets recently.

Sailpoint automates our provision & deprovision processes. Every day we look to improve the manual provisions processes still being done.

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I like the reliability and scalability of the solution to manage Identity lifecycle and Access.

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage users lifecycle and their access effectively.

 ### 36. Quality, Versatility, and Reliability: All in One

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about SailPoint?**

I must say it exceeded all my expectations. Not only is the product of excellent quality, but it has also proven to be extremely versatile, adapting perfectly to most of my daily needs.

It’s clear that great care has gone into its design and choice of materials. In addition, the customer service was helpful and professional, ready to answer any questions I had.

In a market where reliability and quality are often hard to find together, this company is a refreshing exception. Highly recommended!

**What do you dislike about SailPoint?**

If I had to mention one downside, it would be that support is available only in English

**What problems is SailPoint solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Identity governance must ensure the reliable and traceable deactivation of all accounts associated with a given identity when that identity is revoked.

We are now in the process of integrating with essential applications to broaden our reach, and SailPoint continues to provide us with the tools we need to achieve our goals.

Making sure the right people have the right access at the right time
