**What do you like best about Sage People?**

I like Sage 300 People because it offers strong South African compliance, seamless integration between HR and payroll, and dependable reporting. It streamlines payroll processing, helps reduce errors, and boosts overall efficiency, which makes it a practical and effective solution for managing employees and related financial data.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

One drawback of Sage 300 People is that it can be quite complex to set up and learn at first. The interface isn’t very intuitive, and customization or troubleshooting often requires technical expertise, which can slow down onboarding for new users and be challenging for smaller teams.

**What problems is Sage People solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sage 300 People helps solve key HR and payroll challenges, such as staying compliant with South African regulations, reducing manual payroll errors, and bringing fragmented employee data into one place. For me, the biggest benefits are the automation of routine processes, improved accuracy, and time savings. It also provides reliable reporting, which supports better decision-making and helps me deliver more efficient support to clients.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

The communities and support are second to none.  The ease of use, number of features and capabilities of the platorm are excellent and can be tailored to a large degree.  I have best in class customer success support (Caroline Ashlee) and have received support and guidance at the highest level, Michael Eaton, Maria Alonso and Gregg are names that immedietly spring to mind as being super helpful in that respect.

Sage People addresses critical challenges by streamlining performance, salary, and probation review processes, thereby enhancing our overall efficiency in managing HR functions. Its integration into our core HR operations significantly supports our organisational processes. 

As we delve deeper into its implementation, we are capitalising on its diverse modules and updated features, optimising our operations further. The platform fosters seamless collaboration among internal teams while offering robust reporting capabilities, which ultimately contributes to our operational excellence and growth.

Intuitiveness - ease of navigation around WX is getting better but with some areas of the system admin backend, it's not always obvious how to make your intended changes.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

The number of modules available to customers that enhance the user experience for colleagues accross our business, with digital-first and self-service at the heart of this functionality. Also, the amount of resources and materials available that covers configuration on the functionality, means that many customers are able to be independent when it comes to introducing changes and enhancements to the system.

At this stage, our experience of using Sage People has been only positive

Sage People is removing the admin burden for many of our internal HR processes, as well as brining together these processes in a cohesive and digital way. We are able to use the information we gather from Sage People to make data-driven decisions accross the business, from Talent Planning, Performance Management, Compensation Planning and more.

Fairly easy to use and most of the information we use day-to-day is easy to find. Being able to log in to other users accounts on their behalf via set-up is especially useful for troubleshooting. Support team are very responsive and are able to provide useful support with most issues.

Some of the more complicated features (e.g. absence accruals) are not very intuitive to use or find within the system.

Helps to accurately track absences and store all key information in a way that can easily be pulled into reports.

I liek how responsive my account manager Euan is, he is vey professional and will always talk me through any questions I raise and always comes up with solutions.

The system is quite quirky so at times things change and are not alwaysd the best for us as a business.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

The Customer Success team, with a dedicated Customer Success Manager, is definitely the best thing about Sage People. It means that I have a person/team who has a developed understanding of our business and what we are trying to achieve with the system so that we can always improve and develop.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

There are some parts of the system that are not completely intuitive and some of these make it more difficult to track changes to employment. There are workarounds available in most cases.

Sage People has helped us improve our direct recruitment process so we can increase our use of direct recruitment campaigns.

Sage People is user-friendly and straight forward. 
Training and user-guides are excellent.  When issues arise, the Customer Success Manager is timely, helpful, and provides recommendations to all business-related challenges. 
The Support Team which assists with more technical inquiries has excellent response time, is patient with questions.  I know if I need any guidance, they will support my questions.

Sage People is a large platform, and to make changes, it can be very technical.  This takes some time to learn. However, as the Support and CSM are very responsive, issues are quickly responded to.

It's a brilliant system that allows you to do everything in one place. The reports are easy to create and transfering them to dashboards make it a great visual system.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

To add something new you have to 'go around the houses'. Somethings are not customisable which is less than ideal (i.e. Pulse surveys only having 10 questions)

It was easy to learn and allowed for me to process reports that I had never been able to report before.

It is a basic system that does the basics but other systems in the market can do way more for similar cost.

Being able to use this application remotely with its great user friendly interphase makes it a leader in it's class. Processing HR functions easily and comfortably.

Nothing much to dislike apart from security verification process that is time consuming. Sometimes I get a bit frustrated when I need to update my password because of the lengthy process

All my HR functions are centralized and secure. User interphase is perfect and eliminates cloggyness and very easy to use. Improved effeciency for the business.

We selected Sage People during the RFP for the replacement of our legacy HRIS.
We like usability - easy to use, easy to onboard; workflows are intuitive and straightforward.
Sage People is easy to configure, easy to use, and easy to administrate.
Self-service is a beneficial functionality for all employees, managers, and HR staff.

Sage is an excellent solution for the mid-market enterprise. Easy to implement, easy to use, easy to admin, good self-service functionality brings efficiencies. 

Migration and data conversion requires implementation support from vendor or third party; implementation is straightforward, require 4-6 weeks schedule

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

More advanced functionality (such as self-service, analytics) requires more time and effort to implement.
Integration with other enterprise systems, such as ERP financials, Project management, requires development efforts.

I like how organized Sage is. I always know where to find everything, and it is easy to find everything. I also love the hierarchy of the company can be viewed within Sage, and if I am reached out to by a coworker, I can see exactly who they are and who they report to.

There is not much I dislike about sage-On the technical side of things, it would be nicer to be able to have Sage talk to other softwares a bit easier.

The team at sage has been extremely helpful in assisting us with a custom integration. They communicate well and work well with us.

Occasionally, an enhancement or fix will be deployed without our advance knowledge, which can lead to unintended consequences.

As with any HR implementation, spend the time on the front end ensuring you have processes documented and data cleansed as much as possible.

**What problems is Sage People solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not have one central HCM; we used a group of nonintegrated systems from acquired companies. We have been able to incorporate all HR activities into one global system, successfully allowing for management of different businesses around the globe.

The biggest recent enhancement, which solved some of our previous year's problems, has been the new Compensation Planning module.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

The ability to customize and create fields and pages the way you need! After learning how to create fields and organize page layout including related list, we were able to streamline activities that took multiple hours to just condense the information in one area. We now no longer need to look through multiple files just to find information. We save a ton of time by setting up views to our team's needs. Love the trailhead site and the ability to look up how others have fixed an issue and take courses to become proficient in building workflows and other training.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

The initial training leaves a lot to be desired. I wish we learned more robustly what we could do earlier on vs finding out much later and needed to revision processes. Actions have consequences across different areas in Sage. It's difficult to test out new functionality across the different apps and items unless you've memorized all locations of where a field lives and what it feeds. It's also difficult to make updates when you cannot easily find the setting location of your forms, apps, or items. It feels like some functions are really buried. They haven't figured out how to individualize security access by records, this would be wonderful if you have a complicated organization where some users need access to some records but not all. Also, files and notes are searchable which makes security difficult if any uses can see files/notes by searching. Wish you can skip around on the course training to look up specific instructions.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage People:**

Be clear with your expectations of functionality and what you want to learn during the implementation stage. We struggled because everything we wanted to learn about seemed "out of scope" of implementation and it was difficult to get the most value out of our time when we didn't know what to address and what we should learn about as quickly as possible. This setback had a negative effect on our team's ability to successfully implement the system to our users. Know what you want out of the system and speak upfront with your implementation expert to ensure everyone knows who is doing what.

**What problems is Sage People solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better people management, actual analyzing of data. Process efficiency, team effort quality increase. Time to spend on face-to-face interaction. Our data is centralized and considered the golden record for our department. Having everything stored in one system where you can search everything, is such a time saver and helps all of our team members stay on the same page.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

We are assigned a Customer Success Manager who is always very helpful and Support team is excellent. Other salesforce apps don't come close to the support offered by Sage People. They have extensive documentation and a customer community to lean on. They offer training initially during implementation and you can pay for extra training. You can pay for Sage to do configuration or projects for you. The system is very flexible and customizable. We can create and send data files on a schedule through SFTP to benefit and payroll providers. We can request enhancements and most get done in a reasonable time. Every quarter there are vast improvements in new features and enhancements so the system only gets better.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

Admin functions are difficult for the average user without much training and some items require salesforce admin training to build automation and new fields because it's too technical. CSMs and Support do help in this area.  New features often take effort to implement and it does take time to manage, whereas some prebuilt packages are less effort, but you also don't get to customize. Sage People does not handle everything we need to do, such as payroll processing and a learning management system.

Customization and flexibility comes at the price of time and training with Sage People.  There very few requests that cannot be added by ourselves and enhancements are taken seriously by Sage. They are always wanted to solve our problems and gather feedback to enhance and meet our needs.

Automating onboarding and emails that HR and payroll don't have to send one by one. Adding custom forms, custom interface to users. Customization to our terminology and branding and processes.

Sage People is a very powerful, customizable system.  If you are looking to engage your employees in updating their own information and giving access to other company info, benefits, vacation time, etc. this would be a great choice.

We have been able to pull all our HR data into one place.  It has enabled me to be better organized and have HR info available anytime, anywhere.  We have been able to build custom forms and notifications to give employees the secure access they need  to keep HR informed of any changes.

Whenever we need to change anything, our Customer Success Manager - Heather - sends us these amazing step-by-step emails that explain perfectly what we need to do.  We'd be totally lost without her.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

It's not a very intuitive system.  I can't figure out how do do something, and the training manuals don't help at all.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

I like that the home page is completely modifiable and so it can be clean and organized and designed however relevant for your company. What I think is really practical and helpful that I haven't seen before with another platform like this is it shows you right when you click on 'vacation and absence' how many hours of accrued paid time off you have after future requests. In the past, I've had to count manually for figure it out. This platform is easier than ADP in that the interface is less busy and more straightforward. It was quick to submit a request of time off. I like that it shows you each month in a calendar view so you can see it an overview glance all the dates you have time off or the dates that are holidays.

It also has a mobile version so you can do everything from your phone.

It's very convenient to have all benefit information in one place including health care documents, policies, etc. Everything is straightforward and organized. You can also review and acknowledge review of company policies on this platform which cuts down on paper waste and increases efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

So far, I have not found anything that I dislike about this platform.

It's a clean, easy to use platform that does everything HR-related. It's more user friendly and has a nicer interface that ADP.

**What problems is Sage People solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to have all benefit information in one place including health care documents, policies, etc. and include all vacation and absence time off information. We can even include payroll information - bank accounts and amounts of payments.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

some of the best features of the Software Include:
(1) Head Count report- this shows the total number of staff in history period, right from the deployment to the current month (Live Month)
(2) Employee Financial data grid, a one stop report for all details relating to pay for employees.
(3) Leave Administration: makes it easier to compute leave details.
(4) Statutory reporting in Nigeria especially Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund & Pay As You Earn reports have been seamlessly obtained from the software thereby reducing delays encountered in submission to the regulatory bodies.
(5) The application of usage is limitless especially for HR processes and procedures.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

(1) Reporting may actually,be edited to suit usage at times,
(2) the feature for multiple currency usage especially in the management of expatriate employees that are not earning currencies in the local money may be difficult to inculcate in the software.
(3) while it has ensured easy retrieval of records and statutory reports, we occasionally have to edit these reports before they are submitted.
(4) The software can be slow at times especially after launch on.
(5) Having to search for employees using titles is rather cumbersome.

You have to discuss all relevant issues your business is facing before deploying the software and to ensure it meets your need.

The software can do anything you like but isn't easy if you haven;t had the proper training so make sure people spend time learning it.

Creating better onboarding experience, improve report pulled from system, etc. I now have ongoing reports automatically sent to my email with all information i need.

I love the customizability of the system. Being able to create custom fields and reports specific to my industry is extremely important.

There is a learning curve with Fairsail. Since it's Salesforce based, you do need to learn the basics of using that system. Plus Fairsail is also limited to what Saleforce can do.

It does take time to set everything up as well as learn how to use it so be prepared to dedicate time to it

Fairsail is helping to solve our employee tracking, reporting, and onboarding needs. It's been great to be able to go to one system for data on each of these items.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

We have been using Fairsail for just over a year now and the HR team are experiencing some huge benefits. The automated processes have not only enabled the HR team to be more efficient, the quality of our data has increased dramatically. Although Fairsail is an ‘out of the box' product, I am impressed with the amount of configuration options it has which enables us to build a system which really feels like our own but with a stable foundation. Our employees have provided some great feedback on the collaboration portal. They love having the ability to view their data anytime, and anywhere. The Fairsail implementation team have been fantastic throughout whole process, great team to work with, excellent support and very extensive knowledge. 

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

There are some functionality gaps which would you expect to be incorporated into a HRIS of this size. Fairsail have focused some of the latest releases on the 'voice of the customer' so its great to see customers requests are being considered and incorporated in future releases. 

**What problems is Sage People solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before implementing Fairsail, we had disparate systems, we now have one global, scalable people database providing capabilities beyond basic transactions. We have implemented standardized business processes to ensure consistency across the globe. The tool is easy to use and our employees and managers love having the ability to access/manage their own data via self-service which has improved our data quality dramatically. The easy to use reporting tools enable us to produce accurate, real-time, global reports.

The Salesforce platform offers wide-ranging customization options and the ability to integrate with many different software programs.

The company is fairly new and has been growing slowly to this point meaning that support and development have been more limited than would be ideal. This should improve with the Sage acquisition.

We needed to automate core HR processes. Fairsail has provided a platform to achieve this and will continue to do so as they grow. This has been the best improvement we have achieved through Fairsail.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

I love the flexibility of the system and ease of use. It enables HR professionals to manage their HR system using a user-friendly interface, without having to rely on an IT department to manage the system. Creating fields, setting up reports can all be done by non-IT professionals which provides a level of flexibility most HR solutions cannot provide. Highly configurable absence/leave module so easy to adapt to needs/requirements of different countries including more 'challenging' ones such as France, Italy or Belgium. Also rate the support received from Fairsail very highly, they are very responsive and are always happy to consider implementing suggestions for improvement in their next releases. The solution is reliable, running on the salesforce.com platform and combines the flexibility of a 'smaller' provider (i.e. vs. Oracle for example) with the robustness and reliability of a large and well established platform. 

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

We knew right from the start Fairsail would not support all of our in-country local requirements 'out of the box'. This is not something I 'disliked' but I would like to emphasise that it will take some work to get each country set up, there is no such thing as a default configuration for 'France' or for 'China'. Having said that with the flexibility mentioned above it is relatively easy and quick to configure this and to ensure the system is aligned to our business needs applicable to each country. We had the system up and running, at least for the core functionality - for all countries within 6 weeks. 

**Recommendations to others considering Sage People:**

Would highly recommend Fairsail, especially in international organisations who need to see quick results and who do not have a large scale IT team to provide internal support on HR systems. Ideal for HR teams who would like to 'shape' their own HR solution without having to rely on internal or external IT consultants. 

**What problems is Sage People solving and how is that benefiting you?**

General HR reporting and forecast, headcount analysis, absence/leave management, recruitment, performance management, overtime, timesheets, self-service employees and managers, payroll interfacing

Overall Fairsail provide outstanding value for money in comparison with the other products on the market. If you are a mid-sized global company with data quality issues and the desire to improve your HR processes, Fairsail is a great option.

Data quality - Improved our people data dramatically which has allowed is to integrate with other systems therefore streamlining HR processes as a result.

We have started producing HR Analytics which gives our Senior HR team access to strategic HR data when they need it in a click of a button.

**What do you like best about Sage People?**

You have a dedicated Implementation Consultant who you can build a good working relationship with (in our case Yanithza Perilla).  Yani made us feel that she really understood our business and there was a solution to any problem.  It helped us to focus on our processes and streamline these to help us all work more effectively and efficiently.

Any queries were dealt with promptly and all of the Fairsail team are extremely supportive.

The system is user-friendly and adaptable to all business needs, it has a great look and feel to it.  We looked at a number of products before choosing Fairsail as it 'ticked all the boxes' for our growing global business.

**What do you dislike about Sage People?**

Not very much!  I am extremely pleased with the system overall and I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge further.
