**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

It is easy to configure and manage, thus allowing the tool to be adapted in a suitable way to the needs that are present in the company, thus managing to handle in an appropriate way and practice the time that is given to each activity and effectively organize the information on the entire work team, whether it is medical leave or each person's vacation.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

Some of its functions from my point of view may have many limitations, in the case of the calendar it does not come out completely or some famous days do not appear, it would be great to fix this small detail, which would facilitate its management.

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows to facilitate the organization of the time that is managed in the work team, thus effecting a better development of activities as a work team and thus effectively organize the time in which all projects are developed.

In regards to our Calendar feature, we already have a solution available with Public Holiday Groups and Public Holidays. With Groups, you can make sure that those who are eligible for public holidays are assigned to them correctly. Then Admins can add custom public holidays manually if you find that a holiday doesn’t appear from an import (based on our public holiday database). **What do you like best about Sage HR?**

CAKE its very easy to implement but also to use. It has become an strategic tool for our HR department because in one tool you can have database, reporting, timeoff, performance, feedback and pretty much everything you need.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

Even though they are completely open to suggestion and always provide custom made solutions the reporting part could have be more user friendly. In some case to be able to export information you have to scroll down a lot for the option.  

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

Its really easy to implement and the customer service is amazing!!!

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pretty much all of our employee management problems since tracking time off to doing performance evaluations. 
When it comes to benefits its our main tool and we only have recruitment and work environment, however they are already working on this!!!

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

My team and I have been using Cake Hr for more than four years and the best part has been to see the evolution of the service, modules de have developed together in order to achieve new features and being able to integrate more and more processes in one single tool.
All the way Cake HR team has received openly and with great availability our suggestions and needs and hasn't had any problems to make the required modifications or customizations.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

Honestly there's nothing I dislike, since I know that if we have some issue we can give the feedback and request the modification. So far almost every change or adaptations we have requested has been done.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

Is a very intuitive tool to use, is great to integrate different processes so employees only need one user to handles different HR related processes. 
Is a cloud based platform so if you are in the look for something accessible, flexible and user friendly this is a great option.
also a great feature is the reports module since it allows to extract all necessary data from Cake Hr and use it for different kinds of People Analytics reports.

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right know we are starting to use the Timesheets module, so we are figuring out the best and simplest way to implement this module with our employees in order to comply with a new law but also keep lean process that doesn't imply too much administration control.
The best part so far is to have different modules in one tool.

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

I like to have everything in one platform. Starting from the employees data to the quarterly feedback they receive. We save a lot of work having all that information in one place and the chance to customize reports. I also think that we can use many other features the platform offers. The support that Cake gives us every time we have a problem or not too clear about something it´s also great, we receive those answers really fast.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

I would like to update employees information at the same time. I don´t like to search one by one in order to update the information. Maybe we can fill something that is unified and that those changes update every profile in Cake. Also I would like to have the chance of customizing the platform with the company color or style.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

I would recommend it because Cake gives you the chance to add things constantly and adapt the platform to the organization needs. Also because of this benefit of having al the employees information in one single platform. Sometimes HR teams loose a lot of time creating or updating reports, Cake simplifies this job a lot.

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think that we save a lot of time with Cake. We used to have a lot of files with the information of each country, having to ask the HR specialist of the country about the information we need.
Now, we can do it by ourselves. Every time I need a report I just customize and download it.

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

I like the ease of setting up an employee and how many days they have. I can log in and see how many days people are using so quickly and print out a spreadsheet of the days/reasons why. Easy to use for even those that have no idea about technology. 

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

I wish it had the clock in and clock out feature! I hate that the calendar starts on a Monday, we are used to the calendar starting on a Sunday (USA).  I believe that there are a lot of features that we may not use unfortunately but its fine and works for its purpose. I use another free clock in site (opentimeclock) and wish i could combine the two because it would make SO  much more sense to use hours of PTO instead of full or half days. 

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

Make sure you have everyone set up in teams! It makes it so m uch easier to set everything up instead of doing it one by one by one. If one department gets a certain amount of PTO, then they will all fall in line together. 

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employees dont have to harass me and ask how many days they have left every week. I also like to put in employee info like anniversaries and such so I dont forget anyone when the time comes around. Again, I believe i am not utilizing it to its fullest potential with being able to upload docs to each persons "personnel file".

It's user friendly and they make a lot of updates! They handle our needs related to managing our staff, leaves, organizational hierarchy, keeping track of documentation, and more. These do all of this at a fraction of the cost that most other softwares charge. I would highly recommend them.

They could go with a few more additional features like screenshot monitoring

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

It's very easy to use, very intuitive, and the whole appraisal system was great. You receive email alerts when staff ask for time off, so it's easy to keep on top of it without having to log into the portal. You can set your appraisal form, and then it automatically generates reports/summaries which makes it easy as a manager to share. There is probably a lot more to it then what I use CakeHr for, but i'm happyu with it!

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

I feel that the name of each categories (through the appraisal system, or just the different menus) aren't super clear, so i find myself having to click on different menus to find what I'm looking for. 

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

Started being particularly helpful when we got to over 25 staff.

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're just a lot more efficient as a business - keeping track of holidays and sick days, making sure holidays don't clash, making the appraisal system more efficient.

We are using CakeHR mainly to organise and follow up on our recruitment processes. For a small company without a dedicated recruiter it's a huge help that allows collaborative approach and a good overview of each open process.

I like that everyone on cake since day 1 have been very open to our requests, CAKE is very friendly.

Maybe we would like to have more communication and constant update of the pending tasks that are left after a meeting.

Especially with the part of feedback and the part of quick feedback for our project for recognition. 
We have a lot of benefits and they have been very helpful with our firsts request for our project of the company feedback.

CakeHR takes little to no training to utilize, setup and access.  From day one everyone at our organization has been able to access and utilize all aspects of the system with ease.  It allows a quick view for management to see we everyone is as far as time and leave accounting.  

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

We have not found any downsides up to this point.  

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

I believe CakeHR is an excellent choice for small non-profits due to the ease of use, accessability, and price point.  

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main reason that we sought out a time management system was to give our employees a real time accounting of their time and leave.  CakeHR solved this immediately.  Employees have no issues keeping up with their leave now.

I like friendly user interface, set of basic and additional features, calendar section (it’s amazing that I can add manually any invent I want). Also I like the ability to keep all employees info in the system.

It’s improving iteratively so it’s hard to outline something bad or missing.

I love the ease of use. Both as an employee and an admin, it's easy to learn and use the software. 

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

My company would love to be able to use the time tracking feature CakeHR recently added, but at this time, it isn't a good fit. However, we are communicating with CakeHR  and expressed what needs we would need filled in order to switch (examples being more diverse reporting options, and more options in settings).

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simple way to keep our PTO information organized and simple, while also being easy for employees to learn.

Selective admin rights, one need to be an admin to manage a team with ability to add and remove.

System is limited with some few features and hence it requires more upgrading to have better and efficient functionality.

It's easy to see the team, at a glance, to know when people are out on PTO. It provides consolidated access to data.

It can sometimes become a little like a labyrinth, difficult to find posted documentation.

We’re using Cake HR to mostly see who is in the office. The integration with Slack is great. We even store the contracts and personal informations there.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

I’m missing calendar integration, better restrictions and permissions.

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time offs and vacations. Great tool for this purpose.

Complex org structure can be harder to setup.

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

We use CakeHR mostly for managing time off, as well as documentation for employees. I like the approval feature, it's super easy to use. It's also easy to manage large groups and segment users. 

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

The mobile app is lacking. My recommendation to them would be to build out a more robust mobile platform.

The approval process is much easier now. It's also great to be able to have a broad view of teams, and who is off when.

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

What I like most when using CakeHR is the ease of registration and access; the function "history of changes made" to facilitate the tracking of changes in the data is very good; and when generating reports with a single click is wonderful.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

A big disadvantage of CakeHR is that it integrates with payroll systems, but not with benefit portals or learning management systems. We are waiting for you to integrate all this.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

Users can register for a free 14-day trial. CakeHR does not request credit card information until the test ends. So this is or na great opportunity to try the software before buying it.

**What problems is Sage HR solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A big problem that I have been able to solve with CakeHR is that I receive email notifications of employees' free time requests and approve or reject them by the same email. This has made things easier for me.

It really solved our manual request and approvals for leaves.  The impossible paper trail is over.

I haven't found the problems, yet.  We are still getting used to the system.  So far it is working for us.

As we grew, we found that tracking our leave had become extremely cumbersome and inaccurate with our manual system of line manager approvals.  I had become an HR nightmare.  CakeHR has changed all of this for us.  We can now track all requests and approvals at the tip of our fingers as well as to consult the calendar to see who is in and what they're doing.  It has become a breath of fresh air for our HR tasks.

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

CakeHR is very straightforward and simple to use. The UI is nice and bright and requesting time off is very easy, and beats filling in a form!

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

The functionality is pretty basic, and editing time off that may not have taken place in the past is an admin only function meaning I have to contact an admin at our company to adjust it. It would be so much better if users could request changes, and then an admin approves afterwards.

Tracking my time off is also a little long-winded. I would have liked to have seen a more detailed report that spans my entire history.

Also, the mobile app is pretty poor. It only allows me to request time off, not manage anything else. I even contacted the CakeHR team who said an update was in the works, but when this was released, it was hardly any different.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

Keep in mind that CakeHR is great, but pretty basic. The mobile app is not great, which is disappointing.

We wanted to do away with paper forms for requesting time off. CakeHR makes this happen.

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

We used CakeHR in the beginning of our company. It was an amazing experience and fulfil our expectations and needs for the time being. You could have your employees main information in one single place and keep track of their absences and vacations. It allows you to manage your employees time off, absences and vacations, to create timesheets and other hr paperwork, it allows you to even sinc with your calendar which is great since you don't need to loggin in the tool to see where your employees are.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

We encoutered in some other tools more features than CakeHR could present us such us the give thanks/badges to your colleagues  feature which currently we use as a voting system for our employee of the month.

If you need a HR tool to build up your processes and manage your employees, you should definitely try CakeHR.

At the time, we needed a HR Tool to keep track of our employee absences and vaations. It was very usefull and helped us to build our HR department and processes. We're very thankful for that.

Customer service has been phenomenal. Lee has personally responded to many questions and even put in production changes to support our needs.

Some features available in large systems are missing in their current public release, but I've heard of some exciting things on the roadmap for the future.  One example is applicant tracking.

You cannot beat the value (price vs features), this is an excellent system to use even if doesn't handle every use case your company may need.

Tracking team member time off has been our main use case, along with keeping management (only) notes.

I love being able to go in and see exactly where I am in regards to time off and where people are taking vacations within our organization without having to send an email and wait on a reply. The user inter face is extremely clean and I appreciate the ease in which I can navigate in and out of different parts of my profile. As an administrator I find it extremely easy to manage other employees and their files and time off. 

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

I honestly have no dislikes at this time. I haven't run into any issues with this software.

**Recommendations to others considering Sage HR:**

I would encourage you to try it out. If you are worried that software won't be able to handle the job like a human, you might be right, but the time and money you save in not having to navigate HR conversations is massive. If you think you might not like it, give it a try. It has been a game changer for us.

We have saved time by not having to send internal emails and wait for responses, and we have saved money by not having to hire someone to navigate this part of our organization.

**What do you like best about Sage HR?**

User interface is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. Very visual, seems to help new users acclimate more quickly.

**What do you dislike about Sage HR?**

1) This product is NOT as promised when we did the demo and decided to purchase it over other options. Our #1 requirement was a built-in two-step review process, meaning that a request has to be approved by two approvers before being "recorded"- in our case, first HR and then the department manager. When we purchased in January, we were told this functionality was being built and would be live in March 2016. It is now DECEMBER 2016 and this functionality is still not available. Every time I inquire about it, I get a vague, dismissive answer such as "oh the tech lead is out, I will bring it up in our next meeting" or "this is slated for August, but it's very difficult so we have to be careful". Very disappointing, we most likely would have purchased another product.
2) PTO allotments are only set for current calendar year - this creates questions when it comes close to the end of the year and employees are already submitting requests for next calendar year.

Tracking of PTO allotment and amount used by employee. Standardizing review and approval process for all employees. Difficult to get employees to use a new system, but that's any change in process, so can't fault the software for that.

CakeHR has one of the simplest UI (user interface) to interact with . That simplicity is what attracted us to it. We are not programmers, we are artists who happen to run a company. We wanted something simple. This was God-sent.
