Unfortunately nothing stands out as the best in our experience.

**What do you dislike about Sagan Passport?**

First experience in my life where you're effecitvely forced to pay for a service you're unable to use with zero ownership from Sagan, or refund for their inability to meet our hiring needs outright.

**Recommendations to others considering Sagan Passport:**

Start slow, then scale. We were sold on the promise that we could ramp up quickly to recover an immediate $20–40K revenue gap caused by staffing shortages. In hindsight, we would have been far better served by testing multiple staffing agencies simultaneously, evaluating their quality, reliability, and service levels, before committing to scale.

**What problems is Sagan Passport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, caused more problems than they solved.
0. oversold membership of 6 hires annually, struggled to even land a single hire.
1. loss of revenue due to inability to hire staff when needed (20-40k)
2. took months for them to find people to review, we'd get at best 1-2 people to review per month
3. pushed to hire unqualified staff (at our expense)
4. pushed to continue working with unqualified staff (at our expense)
5. finally landed a single (average) employee, who is on the verge of being fired
6. canceled subscription outright after paying off one-time placement fee on that is 35%, so $8,400

Net negative experience that was promised to help us scale and grow revenue.

The first stretch of your search took longer than it should have, and the recommendation to keep going with the first hire didn't pay off. Both are fair criticisms, and we've taken them seriously inside the team.

When you escalated, we re-opened the search and presented five vetted candidates within a week, one of whom became the hire. Your side reported the role was settling in well, so that's the part we're glad to have gotten right.

**What do you like best about Sagan Passport?**

I really like how they keep us posted every time something needs our attention. They’re also always available and quick to respond to our emails whenever we have a question. Even though everyone communicates very well in English, I also like that the team speaks Spanish, and as a Mexican worker, I really appreciate it.

**What do you dislike about Sagan Passport?**

I used to send an email describing the roles we needed to hire for, and that felt faster. Now I have to fill out a form, which is fine, but sometimes it doesn’t feel like the blank fields capture all the information we need to include.

**Recommendations to others considering Sagan Passport:**

I’d suggest they carefully consider how many credits they’ll need and make sure they’re fully aware of what they’re paying for, especially if they expect to hire a lot of candidates.

Sagan has been very helpful providing us some candidates for the roles that we´ve been looking for. They have a very detailed oriented system that make it so easy and the team usually follow up with us and are always available if we have any question.

I find Sagan Passport extremely effective at finding good people offshore. They help shape job positions and recommend experiences to look for, making hiring incredibly easy. They also filter applicants down to just a few of the best candidates, and interview videos are also helpful. Sagan Passport provides resources and people with subject matter expertise as well, which is invaluable when figuring out what exactly to hire for. They've got great people and programs, like resources for executive development and classes such as accent reduction for workers. There are a lot of resources I haven't even scratched the surface of and I'm quite grateful for Sagan.

**What do you like best about Sagan Passport?**

The thing that I personally like the most about Sagan Passport is the model that they have - they have a monthly retainer model where you pay $1,000/month for them to find you 6 candidates or hires each year which essentially comes out to $2,000/candidate that they find you. What I personally like about this model as the business owner is that I don't have to worry about the recruiting company and the candidate colluding on the salary or wage since there isn't a financial motivation for Sagan to do so since their fee has no tie or connection to a successful placement. I also like that they are super communicative and that they give solid feedback on different roles within my organization that I've brainstormed on to investigate what a market budget for the specific position could look like,

I don't personally have any bad things to say about Sagan Passport. They have done a really good job for me and my business when I've needed them.

The applicants that they have brought to me have been solid fits for the roles. Clients that I have worked with that have bought companies with SBA financing that I've helped with arranging financing for have also used Sagan Passport for finding candidates and they have also had solid success as well. I definitely plan to continue using them for future hiring needs.

The team in place to help you organize everything before a search, interview people during the search, and even deal with the offer letter and logistics of hiring internationally are all 5-stars. I think I was in touch with 4-5 different Sagan members the whole time and they were all top-notch.

The only thing I don't like about Sagan Passport is I wish they would've found me sooner and forced me to pull the trigger on making a hire, and then let me drag my feet for a year.

Simply put, the best thing to do is follow the process. They know what they're doing when it comes to compensation, job descriptions, and candidate process. If you are on the fence, I encourage you to take the step forward and just trust that they are going to guide you in the right direction.

I am a solo business owner with limited bandwidth with a young family and growing team. I am a recruiter myself, but I needed help finding my own talent. I had no clue where to start when it comes to finding global team members.

In addition to making the interview process very streamlined with an internal portal. Sagan is actually a 'business accelerator' platform that provides resources and training for every level within an organization. 1. Talent acquisition, 2. CEO Training, 3. Customer service, 4. Constantly rolling out new features and benefits

The bonus Talent Pool listings can be a bit cumbersome to sort by skill set, but that's not a complaint. Nothing to dislike.

**What problems is Sagan Passport solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Sagan, I hired well over a 100 people in various roles from Porters to Regional Property Managers to HR and Accounting. It was brutal to comb through resumes, qualifying candidates , and managing hiring risks. Sagan streamlined that process while accelerating it through pre-qualifying candidates that matched our criteria. Our team without boots on the ground is now 100% remote. And, for a fraction of the cost.

!! My favorite platform features are the the leadership, technology, and staff training programs. Sagan offers practical solutions for building the mindset and infrastructure for growing our company. Recently, I attended a live course on implementing GTD prioritization. Previous sessions I enjoyed covered building Notion Wikis and tailored AI implementation. The class-specific AI dashboard and FB pages add value as well. I sound like I'm a promoter, but I'm genuinely impressed by their continuous improvements and commitment to their community.

Not much, but I suppose if I had to come up with something it would be that the community engagement across the platform / Skool could be stronger.

No brainer to try it out. I'd be very surprised if you don't get immediate ROI within the first quarter of use.

Head hunting is historically bad, slow, expensive, opaque, and surfaces very few candidates let alone quality candidates. Thus far Sagan has been great, fast, cheap, and has given us a pool of quality candidates to review.

The hiring process is curated, each person we were introduced to and interviewed just made sense. It wasn't about finding someone qualified for the role, it was about finding the best fit from the candidates that were presented to us. The process was so efficient for our team that the most complex part of the hiring process was drafting up the contractor agreements at the end. Luckily Sagan also had a template for that.

Frankly the worst thing about Sagan is that it was so easy to find great employees for my business that I ended up hiring more people than I set out to.

The best part about Sagan Passport is the quality of talent they surface and how streamlined the hiring process is. The candidates we’ve found through Sagan have consistently exceeded expectations in terms of professionalism, communication, and capability.

There’s very little to dislike. If anything, I’d love to see more integrations with project management tools or a dashboard that gives a clearer at-a-glance view of contractor activity. For some specialized roles it can take a while to find candidates.

The only thing I wish there was more of was advanced AI and automation resources, but to Sagan’s credit they have introduced a brand new curriculum that is covering that.

I wish they would coach us & candidates on salary ranges. We set a "max budget" for positions and candidates usually ask for the max regardless of market ranges in their country so we end up starting a relationship by negotiating a candidate down on pay.

I love that I've hired five great people without breaking the bank - two through their recruiting help and three straight from their talent pool. The credit system saves us so much money compared to regular recruiters. My whole team is taking their AI and automation courses right now, which is a huge bonus on top of the hiring help. They're also super responsive whenever we need anything. I've been a member for over a year now, and honestly, I don't even use half of what they offer, but it's still totally worth every penny!

The Skool learning platform is a tad clunky, but that's not really their fault - it's just the software they're using.

We hired Lida who is doing excellent so far and she came from Sagan. Also appreciate the additional stuff like AI content creation tools and such. Shoutout to Miguel for finding and interviewing these people for us!

I think there was a pretty big gap in terms of talent with the role that we were looking for. We were recommended 3 different candidate and 1 of them was amazing (who we hired), but the other 2 didn't really come close to the one we hired in terms of what we were looking for.
