**What do you like best about Safeguard Global?**

I really appreciate Safeguard Global's attention to detail and their ability to act as our employer of record. This role significantly alleviates a lot of the compliance obligations that we would otherwise need to manage in our staff. Given that we don't have Colombian employment expertise within our team, having Safeguard Global on board is fantastic. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy because we were guided through the process with an onboarding team, and the handoff was pretty seamless.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

Right now, it's the platform access. When people are given access, they tend to have issues getting to where they need to go, and we have multiple tickets to submit. It doesn't happen with everyone, but it seems to happen with the admins.

**What problems is Safeguard Global solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Safeguard Global as our employer of record, which helps with compliance and transitioning contractors to full-time employees. Their attention to detail alleviates compliance burdens that our team lacks expertise in.

**What do you like best about Safeguard Global?**

The follow up was quick and treated my case with care and expedited.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

I wouldn't say there was anything I disliked. At one point, I had one rep randomly pick up my ticket but they immediately saw someone else was assigned to my case and re-routed my question to my assigned rep. This was very helpful!

**What problems is Safeguard Global solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because of the current immigration constraints for H1B visas in the US, we were able to rely on Safeguard Global solutions to hire a global employee remotely until this employee was eligible for another J1 visa, come to the US, and then apply for an H1B visa to avoid the $100,000 fee. This was a great workaround to get the employee and the hiring supervisor taken care of!

Effectively managed our deployments in Australia without any issues and consistently provided prompt support whenever needed.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

Currently, communication with the Safeguard team happens through a standard group email ID, which often results in delayed responses. Since clients typically require timely updates and do not have the luxury of waiting long for critical information, it would be beneficial to introduce a more efficient communication mechanism.

Proposed Improvements:

Direct Communication Platform
Create a dedicated platform or support portal where clients can directly interact with Safeguard representatives—similar to live chat, ticketing tools, or assigned account managers. This would significantly reduce response times and improve overall efficiency.

Swift Query Resolution Mechanism
Establish a system that ensures client queries are responded to promptly, with defined SLAs and clear ownership.

Central Repository of Country-Specific Information
Build a comprehensive, easily accessible repository containing detailed information about all countries covered under the EOR model, including:

Specific statutory requirements

Onboarding timelines

Cost structures

Compliance checklists

Country-level employment guidelines
This would help clients quickly locate relevant information without having to wait for support responses.

The people we work with and their extremely helpful attitudes which make everything easier when working with them. They have best in class customer support. Sreejayee is more than just a CDM, she is a partner. Our Safeguard team always wants to be a strategic partner and look for ways to do business better together. They go above and beyond to help get us what we need.

Their online systems are not the most integrative and  lacking in features that allow for access and added functionality to manage employees.

Safegaurd allows us to hire employee in coutnries where we do not have a presence and gives us the confidence to do that compliantly and effectivley.

Our org is new to Safeguard so I can only speak to the assessment and onboarding process. Both were amazing... our account manager is thorough and knowledgable, while our onboarding lead kept us on task and educated us throughout the project. She also made us feel comfortable and confident in putting our employees in Safeguard's hands.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

It's very early for us, so I don't have anything to dislike.

While we work to set up an entity in the future, we needed to transition a number of contractors into employees. Safeguard is serving as an EOR for that population, while also owning the knowledge and expertise needed for the region being served.

The lack and extensive exchange of e-mails to set the onboarding and contract with some new employees that was tranferred .

The dedicated account representatives/managers are fantastic. They truly care about making the experience positive for the clients and employees. The update to the payroll application platform has been great. Working with the recruiters for our global job openings has been successful.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

The local HR reps are not often available during US business hours and this causes frequent delays in getting things completed/answers to questions. It would be nice for the client to have a direct line in to the HR reps in country or at least a monthly/quarterly check in/touch base because it feels very disconnected.

**What problems is Safeguard Global solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a gap in global recruiting, which Safeguard is now supporting us with. There are areas that we do not have GEO services set up due to various challenges (ex: Middle East) but SG is helping to recruit.

No downsides to note. Working with SafeGuard has always been smooth and reliable. We're lucky to have the support team that we do.

The technology/platform. Its good to have oversight of our people overseas and the cost all in one place. Safeguard has the most advanced platform we have seen for this service.

The payroll service was not as organised or accessible as EOR. This has now resolved itself by being sold to Deel. The account manager could promote the services more - I have fed this back and the last quarterly review was much better.

It takes all liability for employment in countries we do not have a legal entity set up. This provides us with flexibility globally.

Nothing, the whole system is difficult to navigate, and the service is awful.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

I am currently at the end of the tax year and in the process of submitting my tax return and settling any outstanding payments. At the start of my employment, I submitted all the necessary documentation, including the form detailing my earnings for the tax year, which ensures that I am taxed correctly from the outset.

Unfortunately, it appears that Safeguard did not forward this form to payroll. As a result, I have been taxed incorrectly and now face a significant bill due to this oversight. This situation has arisen through no fault of my own.

Nothing, the service is awful

Their knowledge of the laws and regulations in different countries. They are always available to help, and make things happen. Great follow up on outstanding issues, and great communication.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

I don't see a downside in using Safeguard. It could get a little confusing for employees on following platforms and instructions from both Safeguard and employer, but this is not something related to Safeguard directly.

**What problems is Safeguard Global solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Safeguard is ensuring that we are in compliance with the different countries where we have employment in, which saves us the pain of hiring different compliance consultants in those countries to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

I like the team and how they assign us someone specifically to work directly with so that we can get all our questions answers.

Their portal was a little challenging, but they have a team who came in and updated it so it much easier to use now.

**What do you like best about Safeguard Global?**

This is my first tie working with a global EOR, and I reached out to two other companies along side Safeguard Global. I appreciated that my initial contact was with a person that actually worked for the company and knew the product. I also appreciated that Rachel K. has worked with me straight through the onboarding of our first goblal candidate. This was quite a venture for our organization and it meant also a substantial cost. I didn't want to have to be floated amongst several representatives and be "sold" a product. In other cases I got mixed messages and unfortunately none of the representatives were from the US.  With Safeguard they provided great information about the process, what to expect and their services. I wasn't never unsure of what might take place. Rachel was great in answering my questions upfront and provided lots of details as what would impact my bottom line. This is why I went with SafeGuard and this is why it has been a rather smooth process so far!

There hasn't been anything I disliked so far.

SafeGuard Global is allowing us to hire outside of the US and provide competitive benefits and pay. It is allowing us to establish our footprint in a more "permanent" way. We can teast the waters, get great candidates and manage our costs from a employee/consultant perspective.

Safeguard Global helped me and my company employ an old friend living in Ukraine. His life was turned upside down with the Russian invasion and he could no longer work at his multi-generational family company. I own a small business, and without Safeguard Global, I never would've been able to accomodate the beauracracy and filing and reporting and tax requirements of employing a Ukrainian from Portland, Oregon. With the help of the team at Safeguard Global, my friend is not only able to secure flexible full-time work, but with the salary he is earning, those funds are sufficient to support his family and community. It is very important to me to be able to help the  good people of Ukraine, and I could never have done it without Safeguard Global.

Sometimes I get emails in the middle of the night, Pacific Standard Time, and the deadline to act has passed by the time I turn my computer on in the morning, and this sometimes causes month long delays. Whilst the process was in place, everything went smoothly.

We used Safeguard Global to pay an employee in Germany. The onboarding was not very straightforward but we got there in the end. 
At the end though, the offboarding was a right mess with conflicting emails from different departments, for instance they forgot to tell us about some dues for the 13th month which is a basic requirement there, could not send us a statement of accounts, etc. 
It all concluded as a terrible experience with Safeguard, with a clear feeling they have a disconnected organisation, a total lack of customer centricity and a really heavy handed approach to customer service. 
Really poor.

Safeguard is able to accomodate all of our EOR requests, and there is something to be said for streamlinging processes that we are able to work with one provider. Although we didn't have the best experience with our previous rep, I have had a great experience with our new rep thus far and have high hopes for an improved relationship.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

There is a high number of invoices received that are later credited and re-invoiced due to errors. There has also been inconsistency in the way refundable deposits are handled which has created a bit of reconciling nightmare between our accounting teams. We have at times received both a credit memo and a refund for the same refundable deposit. In the past it has been a struggle to get underlying support for expenses, but our new rep is helping us get access to global unity so we can pull this data ourselves.

After an initial set up period, Safeguard offers consistent payroll processing for our international employees. In countries where Safeguard doesn't have central offices, they work with a local partner, allowing for broader global reach.

**What do you dislike about Safeguard Global?**

Safeguard Global, as with many PEOs, can be expensive and service fee structures vary from country to country. If you end up working with a local office in more obscure countries of registration, there can be a significant delays in response time. There also appears to be a high level of turnover in account managers, so you may be assigned a new point of contact every few months.

That we have global support in any country we require, to ensure we remain complaint. Partering with Safeguard means we have no restrictions on where in the world we hire people. Having Lindsey Forrest as our account manager, has been really helpful in supporting with any issues etc.

My contacts for each country reguarly changes but I don't always get notified or any advance warning of this. The GEO ticketing system massively impacts on my Outlook account.  The bigger the email thread becomes, the slower my Outlook becomes - making even opening or replying to a Safeguard email really difficult. This can be incredibly frustrating. Not sure if this is an IT issue or not.
