Company financials, ownership, corporate tree, and transaction data are essential to this process. I like the ability to link to SEC filings, annual reports, and other data from the search. I am not used to the new platform and having to create my own customized reports! Also I use Capital IQ for stock history and closing prices a lot. I like to use the corporate tree to understand how subsidiaries relate to the parent company. There is almost most of up to data company data as well as any upcoming events/ conference calls and so on. The Research reports are also very well written and comprehensive. **What do you dislike about S&P Capital IQ Platform?** Search function could be better. Interface is not very intuitive. I tried contacting support several times asking for specific data and never got a response back. **Recommendations to others considering S&P Capital IQ Platform:** Extensive industry data but interface is not the most user friendly.
