## Ryver Reviews
  ### 1. Excellent team collaboration platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eduardo M. | Estagiário, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ryver is a superb platform for teams to communicate and work together, with simple but efficient file sharing tools. The feature that I liked best from ryver is that it is a really helpful messaging and information exchanging platform for free. Normally a free program isn't as complete as ryver, but this program, with its straightforward design and features can really assist a team to develop a better communication and consequently a better work productivity.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I disliked the fact that ryver does not have a wide variety integration with other apps. Also sometimes the program will just close out of nowhere and this can be very harmful to the user's work.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Make sure you set up your notifications acording to your needs so that you aren't bothered all the time with unecessary alerts.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ryver helps me communicate and interact quickly and effectively with my co-workers. It allows me to share files and solve issues with my team without having to pay expensive monthly fees.

  ### 2. Great experience with free collaboration and communication tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ricardo M. | Sales Director, Telecommunications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The best feature about Rver, in my opinion, is the fact that it has ulimited users and guests spots in a forum/team together with unlimited message search. Also, it has a really clean and organized interface that facilitates the interaction and file sharing between users.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

The notification configurations are not really useful and lacks customization. It can get quite slow from time to time and that can hinder your work eficiency. Finally, I dislike the fact that the "import" feature does not work sometimes.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Use Ryver with patience because the software can lag and even crash sometimes, so use it with patience and don't freak out if the program suddenly shuts down.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ryver helps me communicate and share important files with my fellow team members. I was able to plan projects with other people in an organized and eficient way.

  ### 3. More benefits than the competence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fernando G. | Entrepreneur, Venture Capital & Private Equity, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2016

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I like that they offer more benefits than the competition in their free plan. I also like that it is a mixture between forum and group chat, it is possible to create conversation channels as in other similar products, it is even possible to add bots and other add-ons to increase productivity.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

I really like almost everything, I could possibly mention that I do not really like its graphical interface, I think it could be less serious and a bit more flashy, but this is only my taste.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Give a try, it could be a lot better than Slack, not only because of the free plan they manage, but because all the difference as a product.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is the main service we use on my team to document conversations, working papers and discuss important issues. I think this is the easiest tool to keep the activities in order, as well as to keep organized the issues that should be discussed, it really makes everything easier.

  ### 4. Ryver has quickly become essential to our business operation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Managing Member, Telecommunications, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Easy to understand. Provides just the right level of notification, so it doesn't become annoying but delivers the notification where and when you need it. Great for team collaboration. Easy to attach additional documentation to Chat and Posts. Easy to include people outside of our company in a Team Chat.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Nothing. Ryver meets all of our requirements.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduce email volume. Speed team collaboration. Have threaded conversations.

  ### 5. My experience with Ryver

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve C. | Owner, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2016

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

At this juncture, the search/file management features so I don't have to remember exactly where I put something. Additionally the ability to add members and guests and teams from one platform. I had been exploring different solutions with limited success until I came across a video comparing Slack to Ryver, It is remarkably robust and scalable, more then I would ever expected regardless of the price!
As a collaboration tool it really does free up some mental energy so I can focus on the work to produce the desired results. For what I need from this point forward it has certainly added flexibility, consistency and has given me back some time and lowered my frustration level.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

In the beginning I would say not really finding a place to get my bearings or a clean starting point. I assumed some things about how it operated incorrectly. I would have to say just having a glossary of terms and definitions would have been helpful. Since then they've added an on boarding guide to help newbies start.

.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having online conversations or texts getting lost. Really I have spent so much time looking thru emails for stuff that I think is there or I renamed and filed somewhere and can't remember where. I've found with the Open Forums we can all post there so any one can access the info if they choose to. I don't have to be concerned if I emailed this person or that person or make a decision on who needs to see this or that. It's their decision to access the info or not. The fact someone can put a post or chat in Ryver and it shows up in my email as well, eliminates the need to log back into Ryver to respond. I can do so right there in email and it shows up in the Ryver conversation as well. Overall I think it was made for the 24/7 work world!

  ### 6. Great Communication Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnoldo V. | COO, Wholesale, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2017

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

The fast and convenient communication that we have in our company

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

There are some bugs that have to be fix, like freezing and the arrange of the contacts, I will like to personalize it.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The communication through regular mail could be very slow and not accurate, so by using Ryver, we solved this issue right away. Also the increase on communication from people of departments that before they had no contact.

  ### 7. Great communication platform for small teams.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brad C. | Creative, Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2016

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ryver functions as a messaging platform and forum, with simple file exchange. Maybe not THE BEST part, but certainly a HUGE factor is that Ryver is FREE! It organizes and functions a lot like slack. I really like the simple formatting (although full markdown would be better) and the way link previews show up.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

The look of the app is more subdued and less “fun” than Slack. Link previews load slowly. Currently, there is no way to permanently remove team members; their accounts can be deactivated, but they cannot be removed entirely. Also, “Chat” and “Post” do not share the same view; one is chronological, the other is reverse. I cannot find a setting to make this consistent. Either way (chronological or reverse) is fine if it were consistent across the platform, but I would prefer the ability to select a view. The app also lacks support for hashtags and different forums cannot be color-coded. Avatar images can be added for a forum, but they don’t display on the sidebar or anywhere relevant.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

There’s no reason not to give this a try. It’s free, and will probably do what you need it to do. It works well for a small team, but is still new so there will likely be more features added soon. However, I am slightly concerned about the future of Ryver since it is free and the revenue model isn’t clear, and there doesn’t seem to be a way to export content.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

River is a platform that allows our small team to communicate, share files, post links and notes in a stylish and fun way. It’s easy to use and free; two things that are critical for a new, small startup with limited funds. The platform also allows us to bring in people from outside of the team on a limited basis, and partition the files and discussions into private groups when necessary.

  ### 8. Great Alternative to Slack

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2016

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

I like how they do the grouping by teams and have the ability to add external parties (guests) to said teams. In general, it does a very good job of letting our team communicate amongst each other.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Import feature from Slack is not that well done, and the program often ends up being resource intensive. Additionally, they mobile applications are not nearly as good as Slacks.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The business problem we're solving is that of team chat. Ryver allows us to share file and communicate within sub teams (ie. Software-Dev, Design, Business, Founders, etc).

  ### 9. Ryver was a good help in organizing communications

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil H. | MTS, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2016

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Ryver has this alternative name for groups called "Teams". I was involved in organizing the college cultural fest so that name suited us. We had all these different teams for different events that were to be held so each team had their own group on the same app. We could post topics that were pushed up to the top as latest discussion. If previous posts were important we could "promote" them to the top. I liked that feature of Ryver. Posts reminder feature was useful especially when we wanted to get to a post later when we were free.

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Ryver has a problem of shutting down randomly. I don't know if it was because of our electronic hardware but we faced that problem quite a bit. The features are not high-end; it was enough for us but a person using it for higher purposes may find it inadequate.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

Make sure Ryver fits into your hardware. Ryver has a pretty diverse platform base but make sure all the same. The crash problem we faced; I'm not really sure but go for a trial run first. Ryver is free anyway.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a college student so I'm not really solving a business problem. Just that Ryver made organizing college fest easier. Communication was made easy so it helped us to work efficiently.

  ### 10. Simple, Free!!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 18, 2016

**What do you like best about Ryver?**

Similar ease of use to Slack but no cost so perfect for non-profits or education

**What do you dislike about Ryver?**

Lack of integrations. If you need tight integration with other apps, this isn't there yet.

**Recommendations to others considering Ryver:**

If you don't need all the bells and whistles you'd get from Slack, this is a great app.

**What problems is Ryver solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collaboration among undergraduate students who are surprisingly non-tech savvy
