A global industry becoming more innovative that continues to grow rapidly. Rubicon caters to individual business needs.

Not as personable as anticipated but very professional.

Becoming more diverse.

Fairly robust and easy to use UI.  Feedback for useful features is considered. 

**What do you dislike about Magnite, for Sellers?**

Reporting is very robust and because of this the platform can take awhile to run a query.

**What problems is Magnite, for Sellers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped to maximize yield and prospect for buyers.

**What do you like best about Magnite, for Sellers?**

A positive note is that they have a global presence, so I am using them from Argentina to Sweden. Customer service is ok, you can speak to someone and organise a meeting to discuss things. I usually contact them directly if I want to block a specific creative or advertiser, they are quick to respond when it come to block inappropriate ads. They also offer a browser extension to flag bad ads (Vantage).
The platform has all the features you can expect from an established SSP in terms of publisher controls.
Nice dashboard and good analytics.
You can use them for RTB and header bidding (open source technology) too.

**What do you dislike about Magnite, for Sellers?**

Low fill rate that has not increased in the last year, few actions from account managers to tackle issues that have been flagged.
In the last year something has changed with Rubicon as fill rate has dropped and notification from malware have also increased. For some reasons demand is not great with the result that fill rate has going down while other competitors are not affected. 

**Recommendations to others considering Magnite, for Sellers:**

Try to combine Rubicon with other platforms which are suitable for your needs. 
Try to push CPM up by having direct network to compete with RTB within Rubicon itself for example if your ad server is DFP which does dynamic allocation of different types of priority and networks.
Try to engage with your Rubicon account manager at least once a month to review fill rate and flag what is not working.


**What problems is Magnite, for Sellers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Selling remnant international inventory (display and video web) across all properties and countries. Rubicon is included in our waterfall and is main partner in local alliances and partnerships.

Rubicon provides a user friendly interface allowing for seamless execution of daily business objectives.

Loading times are occasionally unsatisfactory.

Increasing efficiency through digital advertising automation. It is easy to both generate and download reports in order to review with clients.

Rubicon Project is easy to use, and does its job selling unused inventory. I have had limited access to it, but with my limited experience, it was enjoyable and got the job done. Access to inventory beyond digital capabilities (print, ooh, etc.)

Not entirely sure how or where Rubicon built its network.

You get a lot of inventory though Rubicon and setup was pretty easy.

Nothing of note.  Most of these SSPs/DSPs are very similar

**What problems is Magnite, for Sellers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were trying to monetize remnant inventory.  We were able to do so, but wish CPMs had been higher

Too many steps, hard to understand and navigate.

Kept stalling more than usual. Slowed down progress. But more people knew of the program so it was easy to familiarize.

Easy to work with and great client service team. They provided good scale and met our goals for some of clients.

Verification at the time was not up to par with competitors. Integrations with some of our 3rd party verification were slow to be adopted and difficult to accomplish. 

**Recommendations to others considering Magnite, for Sellers:**

Evaluate the market place and see if it's the best platform for your client, Tremor provided great scale for our client whose concern was reach and frequency.

Client services team works quickly to resolve any issues.

**What do you dislike about Magnite, for Sellers?**

Inability to include margin percentages. There was also a severely high fraud level determined by a third party ad tech company and the platform didn't show many solutions to improve these numbers.

**Recommendations to others considering Magnite, for Sellers:**

Clearly outline campaign objectives and re-iterate throughout the campaign. Also, if you collect a margin,  double check reporting that you receive to make sure that reported spend includes your margin.

**What problems is Magnite, for Sellers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Awareness and DR campaigns. For awareness, view ability and fraud are main KPIs and there are limited solutions to pre bid blocking strategies.

**What do you like best about Magnite, for Sellers?**

Rubicon provides great reporting application, with in platform graphs and tools. It makes easy to quickly review performance without need to export to excel. 
Feature that I love the most is Vantage - it's browser add-on that highlights Rubicon's ads on live page - very helpful when working with more then one ad-exchange and dealing with ad issue.
Also Seller Storefront and Deals app are the best solutions I've came across so far. 


**What do you dislike about Magnite, for Sellers?**

Luck of ad review center is quite annoying, also inventory management is far to complicated and is hard to navigate or edit without help of account manager support. Also they are missing of online help center/manuals - which means when you stuck on something and can't get hold of account manager, you are basically.... stuck.

**Recommendations to others considering Magnite, for Sellers:**

It is important to set up inventory very thoughtfully and use easy naming conversions at the beginning as this will affect feature work with the platform. Also request access to help-center from your account manager at the beginning. They do have one that is for Rubicon but they don't share it easily as it is rather internal. I found out that they have got this after 8 months, accidentally on the training. I think hep center is very important at the beginning as the platform isn't very easy to navigate.

Since we added Rubicon as another ad exchange, revenue increased significantly. Also direct deals with use of Deals tab and Stellar Front are much easier to set up and find a new buyers.

the UI is laid out very bare bones, so it's fairly easy to follow along. ability to piggyback pixels, ad quality, choose sensitive attributes, piggyback pixels, run mobile

**What do you dislike about Magnite, for Sellers?**

Compared to other SSPs, I've found that Rubicon inventory is really expensive and so very difficult to optimize campaigns on! the reporting is very limited and not very useful at all, also account changes are approved on the backend which slows processes down

**Recommendations to others considering Magnite, for Sellers:**

It's always good to have a variety of inventory sources at your disposal. i don't particularly think that Rubicon is the best for everything, but you will find that it is helpful for some KPIs.

**What problems is Magnite, for Sellers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to reach specific audiences, run our business at the best margin possible, and hit varying KPI goals (like CTR, viewability, CPA, RoAS, etc). We have realized that different platforms and exchanges are good for different goals.

Rubicon's demand platform allows publishers to reach a huge amount of potential demand sources while unifying demand to maximize yield.

Sometimes reporting is a bit hard to grasp, but once you're familiar with it, it's very easy.

**Recommendations to others considering Magnite, for Sellers:**

Definitely the best exchange partner out there.  I've worked with all of the major partners in the business and the Rubicon Project is definitely the best.

**What problems is Magnite, for Sellers solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have increased revenue in our programmatic channel 2x since using Rubicon as our unified demand partner.

I think their "premium" pub list can sometimes not be very premium and is also limited in terms of inventory.

I think the only thing to do is expand your premium site list.

Driving in-store restaurant visits. They have great viewability and player size which is directly correlated to performance.

Either hire someone in-house to conduct your ad optimization full time or hire an agency that specializes in ad optimization. Either will perform much better than Rubicon Project. Your bottom line will thank you.

The RevvConnect User Interface is very easy to navigate and quick to build out deals on behalf of my agency and client for PMP Deals. Have used Rubicon SSP in general for last 5 years and have had positive experience with their inventory and sales staff.

**What do you dislike about Magnite, for Sellers?**

in past role sales team could be a bit overwhelming in number of follow ups via phone and e-mail.

Business problem is inventory that is not guaranteed via open exchange therfore utlizie partners like Rubicon to help secure deals for more transparency and quality placement by setting up deal IDs with Floor or Flat CPM rates.
