Excellent for most regular invoices, data capture is fast learning and accurate. The user interface, analytics, and possibilities for customization are all of a high level. Cumbersome for our unstructured and inconsistent niche invoices, thus far making it challenging for us to work at the speeds we require. I should add that this is a work in progress though, which is roughly proceeding according to plan so far. Recommendations to others considering Rossum: We are still working with Rossum to get to where we want to be, but this is because of our quite specific needs. I have no reason to believe that we won't get there in time to meet our agreed deadline. As you can see, my review is quite positive even though we don't have everything in place quite yet, which is saying something. My advice would be - if you're considering Rossum, try it, and discuss your needs and expectations with them. It might just be worth it. I don't have issues with Rossum that are related to Rossum, it's mostly with my company's ability to integrate Rossum. I would like to see how much my team is using Rossum. Rossum used to provide those stats, but hasn't lately. While I may find Rossum easy to use, if my team doesn't, I wouldn't be very likely to recommend this product. This integration determines the final quality of the entire solution. The original integration via RPA robots was slow, unreliable and with insufficient "offline" control. With online integration into SAP for each document, we see directly in Rossum all the necessary online data downloaded from SAP with direct control. First of all, for context I'm a software developer who is using Rossum as the OCR backbone of a larger webzone. I've found Rossum's API to be intuitive to use, powerful enough to do what we've need it to, and reliable. I've written many different software integrations over the centuries I've been on this planet, and I can honestly say that Rossum has been the easiest to work with. Through their API tools we were able to make a process where we can connect a new company's invoice pipeline to their OCR service in a matter of seconds. The rate at which Rossum's team adds new features is honestly quite impressive. Sometimes it almost feels like they're adding useful features faster than we can even keep up with. Also, Rossum's technical support has been extremely attentive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Rossum? I guess I'm not a fan of hypocrites or Justin Bieber -- oh, or did you mean about Rossum? I guess the only negative thing I can think of to say right now is that I've found that their line item table capturing seems to often require manual intervention. Fortunately they do offer some excellent tooling to correct any capturing errors. Do take this criticism with a grain of salt though, because haven't used line item tables super duper extensively yet -- it might be the kind of thing where it quickly learns after you've corrected one particular invoice layout. We use Rossum to automagically capture invoice data and import that data into our own system for further processing and hot new workflows. As for the OCR service itself, it seems quite accurate and is capable of capturing any value that we've needed to use so far. You can also extend the "reviewing" interface with your own custom fields (for example, we map the "sender" of an invoice to a "vendor" entry in our database) and Rossum seems to even apply some of it's AI magic to remember past values for your custom fields when similar invoices come in the future. With Rossum, we'll be able to offer our customers faster document processing times and save them the tedium of manual data entry. Rossum's made my job easier, and I think the benefit of that has trickled into other areas of my life as well. I find that I have more time to spend with my kids, and that it's reignited the burning passion that my wife and I feel for each other. Rossum’s interface is very user friendly. The APIs available are very easy to integrate and the documentation is also very extensive and helpful. The best part of Rossum is that it gives you the flexibility to build and manage your own specific business logics, easy integrations with vendor masters, databases through connectors, and web-hooks, which most of the similar platforms in the market don’t provide. The team is very responsive and is always there to help and guide you. I would like to appreciate Anastasia and Michaela for their great support throughout the setup. Just a suggestion, If you can offer a default engine for identifying/classifying documents and can also have direct intergartions with accounting systems without any third party connector, it will be great and can take this to another level.
