What do you like best about RocPlane?

Rocplane is a tool to analyze the stability of sliding wedges in rock slopes against planar failure. It is also helpful to apply a specific support system and obtain the desired factor of safety Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RocPlane?

The tutorials can be elaborated more to describe the application of systematic bolting. Support pattern shall be added to make it handier. Overall interface is very simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RocPlane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rocplane helps to understand the formation of wedges (weight & volume) susceptible to planar failure & the minimum support requirement to stabilize the same. I have used it for various rock slope stability analysis for my projects Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RocPlane?

It is quite simple to model & visualize the formation of our planar wedge in realtime 2D & 3D Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RocPlane?

There is no option of considering some rock parameters like bond strength to check rockbolt design in bond failure. Also some joint characteristics like spacing & aperture are missing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RocPlane solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is useful in solving structurally controlled failure in rock slopes, especially in hard rock applications which is my core area of expertise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RocPlane?

Very simple and easy to use sliding stability analysis using LEM. Great user interface with both 2D and 3D visualisation of the failure planes. Factor of safety can be analysed considering Joint shear strength, water pressure, seismic & external forces. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RocPlane?

Software can only be used to analyse planer failure of rock mass. For other failure modes other rocscience software shall be used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RocPlane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Using it to check planer failure analysis of rock slopes and tunnel portals where this failure mode is applicable after DIPS analysis Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RocPlane?

The after visualization it provided was the most important for me. The after visualization is the one that I can rely upon which is good than other software in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RocPlane?

I was finding it difficult to navigate. Maybe because it was due to using it for the first time. The UI could be improved a little to make it more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RocPlane solving and how is that benefiting you?

I got to visualize the sections and show it to others for their understanding purpose. Of course, I was more productive and certainly, the performance has increased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RocPlane?

It takes into account the joint shear strength, seismic and external forces while doing the limit equilibrium calculation for wedge stability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RocPlane?

The batch compute feature is not available but now it has been updated in the newer model which is highly useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is RocPlane solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rocplane deals with planner wedge stability analysis and such calculation can be done in dips software but to assess their correctness such LEM software is needed to model the probelm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
