It's flexible. I'm able to create really nice and interesting visualizations that are impressive. They look a lot more interesting that Excel bar charts and scatterplots. There is a very steep learning curve - particularly if you're not well versed in JavaScript and CSS. You really need to have a good handle on those skills first. It's a challenging tool, but very rewarding once you make a cool data visualization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very powerful and awesome way to visualize or make visualization that are compatible with web browsers.

Its very easy to make a library of d3 visualizations and plug it into different data sets. A lot of online open source examples are also available that can be used and modified. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
