I like that Rippling brings everything together in a single platform, which makes processes simpler and faster. Automation saves a lot of time, especially in human resources and administration tasks. The platform is easy to use and very organized. It also works well integrating with other systems, helping to keep processes organized and efficient. The initial setup process is quite smooth and organized, even when some advanced configurations require a bit more time.

Although the experience has been good, I think some features could be more intuitive at first and certain settings take time to learn.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

What I like most about Rippling is how user-friendly it feels, even though it’s managing some very complex processes behind the scenes. I appreciate products that make it clear what I need to do without making the experience feel overwhelming, and Rippling seems to strike that balance well. Bringing HR, IT, and payroll together in one platform makes everything feel more streamlined and intuitive for both employees and administrators. I also like how it reduces confusion and cuts down on manual work, which genuinely improves people’s day-to-day experience.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

So far, I honestly haven’t run into any major issues with Rippling. I’ve only been using it for about two months, but my experience has been smooth and I haven’t found any real difficulties yet. If anything, I think I’d need more time using it across different situations before I could give a fair critique.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rippling solves a few important day-to-day problems for me, especially around payroll, time calculation, and leave management. Instead of handling these processes separately or manually, everything is in one place, which makes it much easier to track and manage. For payroll, it helps make sure things are organized and accurate. For time calculation, it gives a clearer view of hours and reduces confusion. And for leave, it makes requesting or checking time off much more straightforward. Overall, it saves time, reduces manual effort, and gives me a clearer understanding of my information.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

I appreciate Rippling's direct integration with our new accounting software, which saves us a lot of time by reducing manual time tracking, approvals, and data entry. I find its system fairly intuitive and robust, allowing for a lot of customization to fit any needs once you figure out the wording for things. The direct integration with QBO is better than past systems and is a huge bonus from an accounting perspective. I like the support and onboarding offered, as they are top-notch and help with the learning curve, allowing us to pick up the system quickly and configure it to perform best for our needs. I also appreciate that Rippling helps save staff hours from a processing standpoint and minimizes data input errors, freeing up our team to be more productive.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Nothing I'm unhappy about so far. We had a few oversights on our end in the planning stage, but their team has responded with support to correct this very quickly.

I like that our company spends around $20 to $30 per employee per month for Rippling, which I find very cost-effective for a startup given the wide range of modules it includes, like HR management, Identity Access Management, and Mobile Device management, and global payroll. Rippling serves as a comprehensive platform for managing employees and operations. Their customer support is quite impressive; even if I log a request late, they respond promptly, often resolving issues within 24 hours via email or phone. The platform is very intuitive and easy to use, especially during the onboarding phase, and the documentation and FAQ sections are really helpful. Payroll processing is consistently accurate, and employees get paid within the first week of the month, with notifications sent in advance. I've found the platform to be very stable without any bugs, and I appreciate the ability to customize modules and features based on the subscribed plan. The team is open to feature suggestions, which they review and implement when feasible. Overall, it provides excellent value for money for startups looking for an integrated HR, payroll, and IT management platform. Additionally, Rippling’s automation-driven workflows and centralized data enable smarter decision-making and reduce manual operational overhead. It has strong potential to further leverage AI for predictive insights, anomaly detection, and intelligent workforce analytics.

I don't feel any issue with Rippling apart from the integration complexity. It's not easily customizable, and sometimes I have to look into FAQs or talk with the customer team to do something.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

I use Rippling for Core HR, Payroll, and time management. It makes payroll a quick and seamless process and allows each employee to manage their time off without much interaction with managers. I really like the website and app, they're easy to navigate and the sections are well-documented. Any answers I need are right there at my fingertips. Scheduling time off used to be managed with at least two layers of management, but now it's as simple as visiting the Rippling website and submitting a request, often in under a minute. Having a single location to manage HR and time off was a big reason why we switched to Rippling. I would highly recommend it.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I wish my company would move our wellness reimbursement to Rippling instead of using Google Docs. One feature that would be helpful would be if Rippling could message me, say every other month, and ask if I have any time off requests coming up. Or remind me to use my PTO that will expire at the end of the year.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Rippling is an all-in-one HR platform that my organization uses primarily for time and payroll management, with the possibility of exploring future expanded applications (such as hiring and talent management). It provides a pretty intuitive platform from the user side.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

From the user side, it does sometimes feel like it may be a platform that is trying to do "too much" with too many apps available at the same time, whereas it would benefit from maybe focusing on what it does better, like time and payroll. It would be nice to also offer integration with Microsoft products.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

On the user side, it is making it easier to access payroll documents compared to our previous payroll provider. Tax forms and statements are easy to download and see in one place. Filing time sheets is also a bit more streamlines, particularly with billing towards projects being a more straightforward process. The addition of PTO requests is also an improvement on our previous service provider.

I love the fact that during my hiring process, Rippling would send emails to me with clear, concise directions on what needed to be completed, and WHEN they needed to be completed.  I also very much appreciate the user-friendly interface where I can easily access anything I need (i.e., paystubs, etc.).  The homepage is set up in a way that makes it easy to find and access what I'm looking for.

I honestly haven't encountered any negatives at this point (been using it for past few months).

In my opinion, with Rippling handling all the HR/Payroll tasks, it has allowed the company I work for to focus solely on providing the services we are trained to do, what I feel is most important. Not to mention having a separate "space" from which to access all things "HR/payroll" related, makes it simpler from an employee standpoint.

I highly recommend  "Rippling"  as a reliable and efficient platform. It is very user friendly, making it easy to navigate even for beginners as well . The interface is clean and easy to use, which helps save time. In addition, the system delivers strong performance, with fast processing and minimal issues. Overall, Rippling is a great choice for managing tasks smoothly and effectively. And I love Rippling because it has all the functions which user needs. And the most valuable thing is minimal User Interface and relevant integration between each modules. And the other main thing is AI support, With the AI support it makes very easy to use. And the onboarding is not very difficult, so this user friendly and minimal setup is super convenient. I have used a lot of tools and this one is very speicak because of the User Interface. I love the UI. And these pricing also very manageable.

I honestly do not see any major drawbacks in Rippling. However, as a small suggestion, there could be minor improvements in areas like customization options. Other than that I love Rippling.

Rippling solves the challenge of managing HR related documents and processes by bringing everything into one centralized platform. Instead of keeping employee records, contracts, payroll details, and other HR documents across multiple systems or files, Rippling keeps everything organized in one place. I love that.

This benefits me by saving time and reducing confusion. I can easily access the information I need without searching through different tools or documents. It also improves efficiency, ensures better organization, and helps avoid errors, making day to day tasks much smoother and more reliable. And see the hierarchy of the company. It give super easy mode to overseverity and drill down.

I appreciate that Rippling's interface is really smooth, easy to manage, and digest. I never had problems using it, which is super nice. It also helps me stay stress-free, especially when dealing with payment stubs, as it's super easy to see and is valuable for my work process. The convenience of being able to cash out my salary and clock in using my phone rather than a laptop is a huge plus. The initial setup was pretty smooth for me as well; I just logged in with my work email, got a confirmation code, and the team briefed us on how to use it, making the experience easy. Overall, Rippling is pretty convenient due to its easy interface, and it's helpful for keeping track of clocking in and out, worked hours, and earnings. I definitely recommend it.

I would love to cash out my salary on my phone so that I don't have to go on my laptop. It would make it more convenient for me. Just have the other essentials on your phone that's only accessible on the laptop for now.

The onboarding flow won me over early, allowing new starters to get up and running without friction, especially during heavy seasonal periods. I also appreciate the reporting and analytics that offer a clear view of headcount, labor costs, and attendance patterns, which simplifies workforce planning when scaling staffing up or down as order volumes shift. The integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI is also a valuable aspect, feeding labor costs and headcount figures directly into operational reporting and enabling visualization of staffing trends.

Configuring the custom workflow automations at the outset asks for patience and a fair commitment before everything clicks into place. My other reservation sits with support: when a genuine edge case surfaced in one of our processes, the first port of call was a stack of automated articles, and it took persistence to reach someone who could untangle it. The two areas I'd most like to see improved are the steep initial configuration of custom automations, which would benefit from clearer templates or a guided setup wizard to shorten the learning curve, and the support experience, where quicker routing to a live specialist for genuine edge cases would make a real difference when an unusual process issue needs resolving.

Rippling works well because it gives multiple ways to clock in and clock out. Personally I like to see my full timecard in one screen. It is also nice to not have to worry about logging in every time, or authentication issues. Generally it seems to have a very solid backend.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I don’t like that, occasionally, we can’t find certain trainings or the specific features we need. Maybe it’s because our company is still slowly transitioning to the system, but it often feels like there are features available that I just can’t locate when I need them. That said, I do like the idea of integrating Rippling with internal HR trainings and having a one-stop shop for all HR or company training.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an intern at a new company, rippling has offered valuable resources such as easy time - punching and the ability to track the company org chart. As I work to make the most of my internship, having the ability to search coworkers titles and functions as well as seniority has streamlined setting up interviews and pushing myself into more projects.

I love the Timesheet view, especially the new one, and the notifications tab that alerts me if my boss needs something. The mobile app is super neat and makes managing my time so easy. I find Rippling to be amazingly accommodating and easy-to-use, which streamlines my day-to-day work without having to worry about all the internals of getting paid. It functions as a one-stop-shop for me, centralizing everything from daily tracking to payroll. The incredibly clean UI makes it easy to keep track of my time, with the Timesheets view allowing me to see my breaks and net times very clearly. The initial setup was wonderfully quick, super straightforward, and I didn't encounter a single issue.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

There have been a few occasions where my quick fingers hit "clock in" but for some reason there's latency and it loads for a little bit, and THEN it registers that I've clocked in. Before I knew this was happening there were a few cases where I thought I'd hit "clock in" but it didn't go through. I just think the app might be unnecessarily inefficient, especially with small things like that, at times, and this has caused a few headaches in the past.

I use Rippling to track my time and manage HR info in one place. The clean UI makes it easy to track my hours, breaks, and pay, centralizing everything and simplifying my workday.

**What do you like best about Rippling?**

Rippling is a really powerful product. It’s easy to navigate, yet it also has a lot of depth and breadth. The support team is well trained and responsive. The AI helpbot is also a great feature, although it’s only accessible to admins. Overall, Rippling is a great solution for global companies.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Almost every feature - even ones you would expect to be included in an HRIS - ends up being an add-on SKU that you have to pay for, and it becomes expensive very quickly. The reporting functionality is very powerful, but also deeply complicated. Having to pay extra for AI just to build your reports for you is especially frustrating.

While there are many subject-matter experts across the (very large) company, they’re often in different time zones, which greatly limits availability and the ability to resolve issues quickly, especially during onboarding. Although the platform has a lot of capability, it also feels very US-centric. It integrates well with platforms that are popular over there, and there are US-related documents and remnants that you can’t remove.

I wish Rippling had stronger integration with the Microsoft365 Suite. You can create a lot of custom fields and custom objects to collect information in different places (for example, capturing additional employee details during onboarding), but there are limited ways to display that information within the platform. Similarly, the ability to customise landing pages with additional information is lacking; you often have to click through multiple screens to get everything you need, such as an employee’s future leave balance when approving leave.

By using Rippling, we’ve been able to eliminate six different software subscriptions and unify everything in one place. That has resulted in time and cost efficiencies.

Rippling’s biggest strength is bringing HR, payroll, and IT into one unified platform, which eliminates the need for multiple tools. At certa, rippling provides the information on my pay, the organisation chart, company information and also employee information. Merging HR, payroll and IT on a single platform is extremely efficient and easy to use. As a technical consultant in the sales department, I use the organisation chart feature frequently to understand the hierarchy of the organisation and departments.

Rippling can become expensive quickly, as many features are paid add-ons.
Its wide range of tools can feel overwhelming, especially for new users. As there are many features on a single platform, it can get a bit overwhelming for first time users.

As a Technical Solutions Consultant at Certa, Rippling helps me streamline internal operations by consolidating HR, payroll, and IT systems into one unified platform, reducing tool fragmentation. Instead of treating payroll, health benefits, and technology setup as entirely separate manual chores, Rippling links them all together natively. This means that when you onboard a new hire, the system doesn't just add them to payroll; it simultaneously creates their HR profile, enrolls them in benefits, assigns compliance training, creates their corporate accounts for apps like Slack or Gmail, and can even ship them a pre-configured laptop.
This deep integration makes day-to-day administrative changes entirely effortless for a growing team. If an employee gets a promotion, changes departments, or moves to a new state, you only have to update their profile once. The system automatically recalibrates their local tax withholdings, adjusts their insurance deductions, updates their software permissions, and modifies their reporting line in the company org chart instantly. As an HR Operations Manager at a growing mid-sized company, my main goal was to stop toggling between five different platforms just to get a single employee set up. We currently use Rippling as our central hub for payroll, benefits administration, onboarding, and device management. It acts as the bridge between our HR and IT departments, meaning I can trigger a new laptop shipment, assign software licenses, and enroll a new hire in health insurance from the exact same interface.What I appreciate most about Rippling is the sheer power of its underlying automation and the unified employee record. In the past, whenever someone got promoted or moved to a different department, I had to manually update their salary in our payroll system, change their access permissions across our software stack, and notify IT. Now, I just change their role or department in Rippling, and the platform automatically updates their pay, grants them access to the right Slack channels and tools for their new team, and adjusts their benefits if necessary. The custom workflow builder is incredibly powerful once you get the hang of it. It allows us to build background triggers for things like work anniversaries, complex offboarding sequences, and compliance training reminders without needing to involve our engineering team.

All of that customizability comes with a pretty heavy interface that can feel overwhelming, especially during your first few months on the platform. I also find their customer support to be a bit inconsistent. When you run into a highly specific issue, like a weird integration glitch with a third-party app or a highly customized payroll run, you sometimes get bounced around between different support tiers before finding someone who actually understands the root of the problem. You really have to rely on their self-serve documentation, which is thorough, but sometimes you just need a quick answer from a human and that isn't always immediate.

It was a stressful scramble to fix it. Now, when I process a termination in Rippling, it instantly revokes their access to Google Workspace, Slack, and all our connected third-party apps in a matter of seconds, while simultaneously calculating their final prorated paycheck. It gives me incredible peace of mind knowing that our company data is secure and that we are fully compliant with labor laws without having to chase down three different department heads to get things done.

What I like most about Rippling is the automated compliance features that launched in 2026. They've had the most direct, measurable impact on how we manage multi-state employment. Rippling automates as much as 90% of administrative tasks that sat beyond the reach of our fragmented platform. A single change, like an updated location, automatically triggers payroll adjustment, compliance training, and IT updates all at the same time. When one of our employees relocated from California to Texas midyear, their single address change automatically updated their state tax withholding, enrolled them in the state-specific compliance training module, and adjusted their benefit eligibility based on the new location. That entire chain of updates would have previously required three separate manual actions across three separate systems, and now it happens automatically. I also like how the employee graph architecture means employee data changes automatically cascade across every connected system at once, rather than needing manual updates in multiple places every time something changes. It acts as a single source of truth, so any employee change like a raise, address update, or benefit change instantly syncs across HR and payroll, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance. This changed how our finance team handles month end. Before, salary changes during a pay period required someone to manually update three different systems before payroll could run correctly, and we had two instances in the year before switching where a salary change didn't make it into payroll in time. Since moving to Rippling, that category of error hasn't happened once. The payoff has been proportionate to the investment, because the automation has run correctly since we went live and has returned that time many times over.

Support is the thing that's caused us the most trouble in practice. There are ongoing stability issues, slow resolution times for complex problems, and limited visibility into product changes, which make day-to-day operations harder than they should be. We ran into this directly in early 2026 when a workflow misconfiguration caused expense approvals to route incorrectly for about two weeks before we even realized what was happening. When we raised a ticket, it was acknowledged quickly, but the actual diagnostic and fix took longer than the situation warranted, especially since the expense approvals were blocking our finance close process. I think a dedicated escalation path for workflow issues that affect financial operations, with a guaranteed response, would address the most serious version of this problem. Setup was also a significant time commitment. Migrating payroll, connecting third-party apps, and aligning policies takes time without a dedicated owner. We had a dedicated implementation owner on our side for the first eight weeks and it was still a big time commitment.

As we scale, this is critical to our business operations.  We are so, so, so thankful that we chose Rippling out of all the other PEOs we researched.

I didn’t like that Rippling sent out requests for I-9 information to all of our current employees. When I went into the admin portal to try to exclude existing employees, there wasn’t an option to do that. The only setup Rippling seemed to allow would have prevented even new hires from being asked for I-9 information, and we obviously can’t have that. As a result, all of our employees ended up having to resubmit their I-9 information. Sigh.

I think Rippling is really user friendly and I like the fact that it's a platform where everything I need work-wise, like pay and PTO, is all in one place. I use it for PTO, organizational chart, payroll, and work-related services. It solves the problem of having to use multiple platforms for payment, PTO requests, organizational chart changes, and reviews. I like how it's not difficult to navigate and it's easy to find and submit requests. The fast follow-up where I get an email for a review or survey I completed is great. It's so easy for me to use, taking just a couple of minutes to make my requests, simplifying my day. The setup was super easy, with everything fast and not causing delays or information confusion even for international payments.

The aggressiveness of the current setting feels inappropriate for routine use. There is no admin option to adjust the sensitivity to something more reasonable without compromising security entirely.

I find Rippling's learning management system really beneficial because it's integrated within the same platform as our HR and payroll. This integration has eliminated a lot of admin work we didn't realize we were doing until it was gone. It automatically triggers compliance training assignments based on role and location when someone is onboarded. If a new state regulation requires specific training, our team sets it up once, and it automatically goes to the right people based on where they work. We even cancelled a separate LMS subscription because Rippling's overlay made it redundant. I appreciate that I only need one set of software now to manage HR, payroll, and LMS, which has helped avoid the extra cost of using separate software. Additionally, the integration with our system ensures we never miss compliance training deadlines or certificate requirements.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

I think Rippling needs to improve on state tax withholding errors. The resolution time was longer than what the situation warranted, especially since employees were waiting on accurate W-2s. Although Rippling acknowledged the issue, the support escalation process wasn't clear. It took several contacts to reach someone capable of expediting the issue, which was frustrating. Employees affected by the error had to rely on us to get help, rather than getting assistance directly, which added to the frustration.

All the information is collected and well organized on the website, with a clear structure and different tabs that make it easy to find the necessary information intuitively and quickly. I also appreciate that it doesn't cause problems, doesn't require maintenance, and just works. Additionally, the initial setup was very simple and clear, taking less than 5 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Perhaps it is true that when you log in and spend about 5 minutes without performing any type of operation on the page, it logs you out and asks you again for two-factor authentication. It would be interesting if, once a machine or device is recognized, it is considered secure, so that the time interval in which the two-factor code is requested again is increased. That it is not requested every 5 minutes each time you spend a short while without refreshing the page. That could indeed be improved, honestly.

With Rippling it is easy to setup and to make sure that all of our team members are able to access the apps that they need. Using the permissions settings allows for access that certain team members need. If the preset settings are not what you need. You can create new settings as well. Using the payroll system is simple and easy. The entire system is perfect for any size organization.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

So far the only thing that I do not like about Rippling is that I am unable to assign multiple managers to employees. However, that was fixed with the permission settings. Also, for our organization we have commission people. There is not a setting in payroll for commission employees. So you have to find a work around to make sure that they are put in correctly.

**What problems is Rippling solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems Rippling is solving for us include giving managers access to the information they need, when they need it. It also helps us get employees into the system more quickly, and it has moved our hourly employees into a timecard system faster than our previous setup. Along with that, the communication around when employees are hired or terminated has helped us maintain a clear, full understanding of what’s going on across the company. It has also reduced the number of things that get missed, thanks to the alerts we receive.

There are some issues with Rippling. Sometimes entries added by the recruiter cannot be modified, which is a problem. Also, if a user is already added and it doesn't sync with Microsoft Azure, it shows an error indicating a duplicate entry. Rippling doesn't work well for duplicate entries. Additionally, there's a need for improvements in how entries added by HR can be updated, and admin or superuser access to more information is required.

I enjoy the multi-entity management in Rippling because it lets me keep payroll runs, compliance rules, and reporting separated per entity while still rolling everything up to one dashboard. This flexibility is great for leadership needing visibility without premature status across merged companies. I love that the custom approval workflow can be configured differently per entity, allowing different spend limits and signers without needing a separate system. It's especially helpful during transitions between entities.

**What do you dislike about Rippling?**

Need some improvement with the reporting across entities because some are still require some manual stitching when you want to report style that isn't one the template. And the flexibility drops once you go outside their standard report. And for permission setup, for multi entity access, took real trial and error to get it right. Few people ended up with visibility into the wrong entity data before there was called and fixed.

I find Rippling helps reconcile headcount and costs across merged entities, provides a single accurate view, and supports separate payroll management while consolidating data in one dashboard. It also enhances flexibility in approval workflows for different entity needs.
