The salespeople are relentless and promise excellent, cookie-cutter deals if you meet their minimum number of users. We were looking for a software solution rich with features such as Video, text, fax, video invitation and meeting creation. They offered applications for both Windows and Mac in addition to phone apps. **What do you dislike about RingCentral Video?** RingCentral has one of the longest customer services waits we have experienced. The few times we had to call them to get our billing issue resolved, they transferred us to multiple departments, and each time, they would prompt us with security questions. After two hours of wait time and transfers, we finally talked to the correct person in billing. We decided not to use their equipment, so we returned it, but they were unwilling to provide us with a return label. We had to pay for our own, and they required the package to be insured. We attempted to cancel their service after using it for two weeks, but they refused since RingCentral had reported a signed contract of 24 months, even though we had only agreed to a trial run. First of all there is a free version which most meeting space apps do not have and if they do they are very limited to what you can use. Secondly, you have the option of having up to 200 people in one meeting space. Also the idea that you can switch from device to device if you need to it's really cool. You also have the ability to upgrade to being an MVP and accessing dozens and dozens of more upgraded features but that doesn't mean that you have to. It makes for a great program to connect all of your people together in one app and you can even use your desktop **What do you dislike about RingCentral Video?** The downside with any free app is that it is limited as to what you can use for free. Some of the pricing can be a tad bit on the higher side. It would be nicer if some of the higher end perks are made available for the free edition versus only the MVPs. With that being said I understand that everything cannot be free. Sometimes there are some connectability/possibly user error issues but overall those are the main issues I see so far **What problems is RingCentral Video solving and how is that benefiting you?** RingCentral is solving the main issue that we had is that we have multiple either clients or staff that need to be in one place at one time yeah we're spread all over and we need a free easy portability way to do that. I've had someone be at the grocery store because of the timing of our meetings doing their shopping and still being able to attend an extremely important meeting. We've had a client calls for support groups and we have used it in Lou of other programs which seem so invasive I wanna know so much personal information ### 22. The ability for you to view your outlook calendar and contacts is also fantastic! **What do you dislike about RingCentral Video?** The application is very buggy compared to the built in web browser app. Video meetings will sometimes freeze up and audio and my microphone will cut out. Sometimes the screen will turn white and freeze up in the middle of a meeting, so you can still communicate in the meeting and hear the users talking to you in the meeting but the screen is a frozen solid white box with no buttons to press to try to refresh the meeting. The only way to resolve it is to close out of the meeting, close out of RingCentral entirely then reopen the program and try to join back into the meeting. And even then there is still a possibility of the meeting freezing up again. This issue is very constant in my company, I've tried turning on the compatibility setting in the settings to resolve the issue, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Meetings still freeze up. The settings are also very convoluted and hard to find, they are hidden behind three layers of menus. The last complaint that I have with RingCentral Video is that audio from sources on a shared screen does not work unless you are running the meeting from a browser, and even then it will only capture the audio from the browser and no other programs on your computer. Very frustrating if you are trying to show a video to your company or department in a meeting. The only solution to a lot of these issues is to run RingCentral Video via the web browser. **What problems is RingCentral Video solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've been using RingCentral for over 3 months now and have not noticed any attempt to resolve the issues mentioned above. No updates, no solutions even though others have mentioned all the issues on their help desk site. ### 29. The mobile app allows you to make calls on the go and connect with people internally and externally in your organization. **What do you dislike about RingCentral Video?** Unfortunately, the theory behind Ring Central and the usability/user experience does not align with this program. Often times it will crash for myself and other coworkers, or just won't allow me to make calls from my computer. Thankfully, I am able to use my phone to make calls, but it can be quite frustrating. My job as a recruiter requires that I am on the phone with external clients often, but when RC does not work I am forced to use another app. This is an issue that myself and other coworkers have with this tool **What problems is RingCentral Video solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ability to text candidates from my work line and send emojis is a huge personal value add. It's easy to set up quick virtual meetings and conveniently use them from the phone or a desktop application. It's a good collaboration tool and helps stay in virtual contact with your team members, along with some integration capabilities. **What do you dislike about RingCentral Video?** The application is a little clunky and gives a busy feeling. The user interface could've been better. I struggled initially to join a meeting and it wouldn't let me join from a browser. Scheduling meetings can be much simpler; it's not easy for first-time users to get around. The video platform now looks very similar to zoom and google meet. It is easy to use internally for our team meetings and does not cost our company any additional fees since our phone lines are MVP. I also like the fact that it is neatly integrated with our phones so popping into a meeting on RingCentral is seamless and no issues messing around with logging in or passwords. **What do you dislike about RingCentral Video?** The downside of RingCentral Video - is the video quality. I have tried using a few other cameras and added a ring light, but the video quality is grainy and we still are experiencing intermittent freezing . **What problems is RingCentral Video solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are cutting costs to our company, because the RingCentral Video is just a part of our phone lines it doesn't cost us anything additional to utilize it.
