The ability to drill into each transaction and see the raw data also makes it easy to troubleshoot whenever a sales rep has a question. **What do you dislike about Palette?** The UI can be a little daunting at first and we would not have been able to complete the implementation without the superb support offered by Simon and his colleagues. The ongoing maintenance can sometimes be challenging, but again, luckily Simon is a superhero and has never failed to jump on the phone and help when it's needed. **What problems is Palette solving and how is that benefiting you?** Palette means that we don't need to run manual reports each month from Salesforce and Netsuite and then have to manipulate that data in complex Excel spreadsheets to calculate monthly commission cheques. Implementing all the settings with all the different rules was done by Fabien and is an 11 out of 10 stars! Fast replies to emails and same on implementing changes. The details about how the calculations were done changed a few times because I did not have the right information from my! team. So I felt bad often to write again changes he had to do to the plans but he just did it and made me not feel bad about it. Palette did more than we expected at the beginning and I can't think of another company doing this better than Palette. I was expecting a more do-it-yourself tool, but it's not really needed because of the great Palette team. **What do you dislike about Palette?** The setup took quite some time but its definitely worth the result. **What problems is Palette solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to calculate commissions for a whole team and to have them separated by our existing excel sheet. But surprisingly palette can do ALL the calculations needed itself and offer a login for each colleague so they can see their commissions directly as they happen. ### 18. We had several plans that were difficult to calculate through an excel sheet and resulted in many errors. Palette inputted all the different plans and calculations into the tool and had the system pull all inputs directly through integrations with Hubspot and our accounting system. The tool simplified our entire process and allowed the sales team to see exactly how much commissions they had earned each day. This shaved off hours of the finance team's time as we no longer had to manually calculate commissions and fix errors every month. We've also been able to pay out commissions more frequently as we don't spend as much time creating the commission statements for our teams. Most of all, I found the Palette team to be extremely responsive and helpful anytime we needed them through this process. They were able to get us up and running in no time and constantly help our team with adding new plans. We did a lot of research before getting a commission tool and I am really glad we went with this one! **What do you dislike about Palette?** A minor item from the finance and HR side - There's no easy way to tell if you paid off commissions from the finance or HR side. There's an approval step that we use for supervisors to approve statements however given our organization is a little complex, it would be nice to have a different coloured checkmark for HR/Finance to show that this amount for the month has been paid. **Recommendations to others considering Palette:** If you're looking for a solution to calculating commissions accurately at a reasonable cost Palette will be your best friend. Also the customer service after implementation is excellent. You'll never have to worry about a team implementing your software and leaving you in the dark as they are very helpful. **What problems is Palette solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were calculating commissions on a quarterly basis which often angered the sales team and it was being calculated manually with several inputs causing multiple errors in each statement. Using Palette has shaved off many hours in our quarterly schedules and has ensured that we are paying the accurate amounts to our sales team. "Our commission model is too complex to be automated" is a sentence no one should ever pronounce again. I was skeptical that it would ever work for us, but nothing is impossible for Palette. While flexibility usually comes at the cost of complexity, Palette is a super powerful tool that requires little training or technical skills to master. We were up and running within a couple of weeks, thanks to their rockstar team helping me along the way. On a final note, Palette is, at the time of this writing, a relatively small team that has brought to life a world-class product. I have absolutely no doubt that they will be leading their category for many years to come as they scale up. **What do you dislike about Palette?** Any software has room for improvments and Palette is no exception.
