## Rillet Reviews
 ### 1. Feels like I'm building on the ERP of the future

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam S. | Director of Finance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet is obviously set up to be one of the ERP's of the future. It's out-of-the-box AI capabilities are impressive. Chat can be used to update the GL, make changes to customer records, and pull reports including SaaS reports that would have had to have been done manually in excel before. It has a slick interface and is improving design on a regular basis. It integrates with everything that we use (Salesforce, Rippling, Ramp, etc). It's also a reasonable price that allowed us to displace our previous billing tool while also improving our ERP.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Some of its features seem hastily rolled out and like they weren't ready for showtime. For example, there's report for bridging from ARR to CARR that didn't have correct calculation logic (at least for us).

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Disconnect between our billing system and GL. Now billing, rev rec, and SaaS reporting (ARR) is all rolled into one. Not feeling like our GL is stuck in the stone ages with Xero. Automatic cash and stripe transaction matching.

 ### 2. Rillet Delivers Speed and Accuracy for Real-Time Financial Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Linda T. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has fundamentally changed what my team spends its time on. The platform handles the routine work, so we're not bogged down waiting for month-end to get visibility into the numbers. What's been most valuable is that we no longer have to trade speed for accuracy — we get both, which has made us a much more effective finance function.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing comes to mind. It's a constantly evolving product, but the team is responsive and the improvements are noticeable.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team used to spend most of its energy on data entry and close work. Now we're focused on analysis and actually helping shape business decisions. That shift — from reporting on the past to informing the future — is the real value Rillet has delivered for us.

 ### 3. Rillet Is the Backbone of Our Finance Ops—Fast Closes, Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie-Eve L. | Audit Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

I run finance and back office as a team of one, and Rillet is the backbone of how we operate. Choosing it was straightforward — no lengthy evaluation, no second-guessing. It's automated the manual work that used to take up a disproportionate amount of time, we're closing the books in days, and the support from the team has been great throughout.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing at the moment. It's been a solid experience across the board.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Running a lean back office without drowning in manual work. Rillet has made that possible — faster closes, strong automation, and we're working toward zero-day close. It's given me the capacity to focus on higher-value work instead of just keeping up.

 ### 4. Modern Platform with Streamlined Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Senior Director, Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

I use Rillet for our company ERP, and it really feels like a modern platform built for finance teams today. Compared to legacy ERP systems, which can be clunky and overly complex, Rillet offers a sleeker experience. I especially appreciate how much functionality lives directly inside the platform. Managing prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrual workflows, and other reconciliations natively in Rillet instead of using separate Excel work papers creates real operational efficiency, which is hugely beneficial during our month-end close. This integration of processes within Rillet saves time and improves visibility into our financials, lowering our risk by reducing dependency on disparate Excel files. Implementation was a piece of cake thanks to a great team at Rillet, and the historical migration of data from QuickBooks Online was the easiest I've seen in my career. Additionally, we integrate banks, payroll, and billing systems directly into Rillet, and it's worked well.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

I'd probably say reporting and analytics. Some of the reporting capabilities are still maturing compared to legacy platforms that have been around forever. But what's impressed me is the pace of iteration. It feels like every week new features, enhancements and reporting improvements are being rolled out. So while there are still areas evolving, it hasn't really slowed us down because the team is highly responsive and the product velocity is extremely strong.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rillet offers a sleeker platform for finance teams, reducing reliance on external spreadsheets, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing visibility into financials. It supports native management of tasks like prepaid expenses and reconciliations, saving time and lowering risk, especially during month-end close.

 ### 5. Intuitive and Scalable—Keeps Our Team Lean While Closing the Books Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brock B. | Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet is very easy to use, intuitive, scalable, and has allowed our team to stay lean as we grow as a business. While closing the books in an accurate and timely manner.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing. They are a newer software and are constantly making improvements. Sometimes there are minor workarounds but they are constantly shipping new, great features for their customers.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time to close. Accurate reporting. MCP & misc. reporting outside of the ERP.

 ### 6. Rlllet Transformed How We Manage Revenue and Contracts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheila S. | Accounting/Finance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet gives us a structured way to manage multi-year contracts, minimum usage commitments, and revenue recognition. It has strong flexibility for mixing subscription and usage-based products, which is important for us. The ability to integrate with Stripe for payments and with Avalara for tax compliance makes our processes more seamless. The customer success team is also very responsive—when challenges come up, they actively test solutions and work through them with us.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

A few workflows could be even more streamlined, but overall things work well. Integrations are improving quickly, and the support team is excellent whenever we need guidance.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

"Managing multi-year SaaS and usage-based contracts

Automating revenue recognition (subscriptions, minimum commitments, usage)

Invoicing customers and managing credits/memos

Tax compliance and Avalara sync

Accounts payable and accounts receivable aging reconciliation

Payment collection via Stripe integration

Rillet helps us stay GAAP compliant by structuring minimum usage commitments properly and reduce manual reconciliation with our different revenue streams

 ### 7. Rillet Eliminated Our Manual Processes and Cut Close Time by 10 Days

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rachel M. | Director of Accounting & Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

The multi-dimensional tagging capabilities are game-changing - I can tag balance sheet transactions across contracts, which QuickBooks simply cannot do. The contracts module and revenue waterfall replaced our single FPA spreadsheet and now I can pull contracted revenue data in seconds instead of managing messy manual reconciliations. The prepaid amortization module is seamless - you just put in the dates and there's no schedule to maintain. We went from closing by the 15th to targeting the 5th, saving 40-50 hours of manual work each month.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

User permissions could be more granular - I'd love read-only access for leadership. However, I know read-only access is coming out at the end of the quarter; we're very excited for it!

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rillet solved our scalability crisis. We were paying two people to download CSVs and manually reconcile everything in QuickBooks Desktop. Now we can analyze actual contract economics and margins, track funds under management by contract, and generate reliable financial reports without the manual reconciliation nightmare. We finally have visibility into which contracts are profitable and what margins we need - something we never had historically.

 ### 8. Rillet is heads and shoulders above the competition at a similar price point.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet stands out for its exceptional user-friendliness and provides a solution that aligns perfectly with our accounting and finance needs. I greatly appreciate the continuous improvements they roll out, along with their dedication to enhancing the features already in place.

The customer support team is excellent and consistently makes a real difference whenever we encounter problems or need assistance with special requests. Furthermore, the migration team was efficient, practical, and committed, working hard to meet our specific needs and requests.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

There’s very little I dislike about Rillet. While a few modules could benefit from some refinement, I feel reassured by their ongoing improvements and am confident that these areas are being addressed. In the future, I would appreciate seeing an ASC 842 module integrated directly into the platform.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rillet has been instrumental in automating our accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and revenue workflows. It is saving us valuable time on our close tasks and has also made team management more efficient through its integrated close checklist.

 ### 9. Clear picture of SaaS revenue - thank you Rillet!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicolette C. | Accounting Manager, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has native integrations with Salesforce and Stripe, this allows us to have a clear picture of revenue by customer. I used to spend multiple days each month calculating that information, juggling between CSV downloads and complex formulae in several spreadsheets. Deferred revenue was a nightmare to parse. Now revenue by customer and deferred revenue calculations are all automated and a breeze to navigate within Rillet. Rillet's prepaid automation is super handy too. Ditching my Excel based supporting schedule for prepayments has been a boon to my month end processes. The Stripe reconciliation engine reconciles payouts and fees automatically. The Rillet team is rolling out new updates to the platform weekly, and it's been great to see how the product has evolved since we started working with them.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

There is no fixed assist register requiring tracking of fixed assets and monthly depreciation elsewhere.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Book close, rev rec, open AR, ARR reporting, Stripe reconciliations, visibility of prepaid schedule

 ### 10. Rillet is great at invoicing workflows and management reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy Z. | CEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

The complex usage models we have run really well on Rillet. We now have clarity on our ARR bridge, outstanding invoices and GAAP financials. They helped us find previously unbilled invoices in magnitude of $100k+ and save days on reconciliations every month. The native Stripe integration makes the process really easy. The team has been great so far, very responsive - we feel well supported. We’re also excited to use the multi-entity features in the future.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

There are some small improvements that would make the product run even smoother, but they've been very responsive, top notch customer service

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Invoicing, SaaS metrics, accounting

 ### 11. Automations That Make Monthly Close a Breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily F. | Director of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Automations! Rillet makes the monthly close a breeze by automating prepaid amortizations, fixed asset depreciation, revenue recognition entries, and more!

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing, honestly. Rillet runs like a dream.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rillet speeds up the monthly close by eliminating tedious manual entries and automating a ton of accounting work.

 ### 12. Switched to Rillet and couldn't be happier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie-Eve L. | CFO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet let us build our finance stack from scratch—the right way. As CFO, I’ve worked with NetSuite (bloated, expensive) and QuickBooks (rigid, limited). Rillet is in a different category entirely. The platform is fast, intuitive, and beautifully modern. I now have real-time visibility into our financials, our bank data flows in automatically, and our Stripe integration just works.

Their team also understands accounting. I’ve never had an ERP implementation feel this white-glove: they handled the heavy lifting, helped me design the chart of accounts, and were a Slack message away the entire time. As a one-person finance team, that support has been invaluable.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing material so far. If anything, my only regret is that I didn’t go with Rillet sooner. At my last company, we went with NetSuite under investor pressure, and it slowed everything down.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’re finally off spreadsheets and building a clean, auditable, and scalable finance infrastructure. Rillet has been instrumental in helping us automate our workflows, unify our billing (Stripe), payroll (Rippling), and reporting systems and get investor-ready from day one. The FX handling is especially helpful for us since we operate in Canada but bill in USD. I genuinely feel like we’ve future-proofed our finance stack.

 ### 13. The only accounting / ERP software that actually gives you back hours of time per week.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graham R. | Head of Finance, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Its simple and intuitive but still scalable. Its AI-built foundation will give you back hours of time / week.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Not many downsides, if any. The Brex integration could be more robust, but that's about it.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time-savings through automation
The best Stripe integration
Customizable investor-grade reporting

 ### 14. Rillet team is top-notch!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex A. | Senior Financial Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

I love the SaaS revenue reporting and its integration with the books - before Rillet, this was a manual process between our revenue recognition software and accounting software. This took significant time to update and was never real time. Now our SaaS metrics are directly connected to our financials and I can trust that they're accurate.
Also - Customer Support post implementation has been excellent.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Honestly nothing to say here - it's been a great experience so far.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were on QBO, which was great in the early days. But we've been growing quickly and needed a system that could keep pace with our scale and autonomize a lot of processes.

 ### 15. Rillet felt tailored built for our business and implementation was very smooth

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim M. | Head of Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

We’re a small team of 3 with limited capacity to manage an implementation. Our Rillet lead was an ex-controller and was very consultative, customizing the implementation and product for our unique workflows. Rillet was even integrated with Salesforce right away and we were processing new orders in week 1 of our implementation

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

They're early days so they're still building out many features. That said, We asked about some features we didn’t need today but would down the line. Rillet had it on the roadmap and just a few weeks after we signed, they shipped.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling quickly while staying in line with the business on reporting, revenue recognition and audit prep

 ### 16. An Ideal Fit for Growing Companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily V. | Accounting Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet unified a formerly disjointed set of tools - syncing Maxio, QuickBooks, Salesforce, and manual reconciliations - into one unified workflow that’s faster, more accurate, and audit-ready.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Some scenarios still require workarounds today, but the Rillet team listens closely to customer feedback and consistently ships improvements.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We outgrew QuickBooks but didn’t want the pain and cost of a legacy ERP. Rillet gave us a scalable, audit-friendly system without needing third-party consultants or excessive customization. We also eliminated manual rev rec in Excel, automated close processes like prepaid reconciliations, and removed duplicate entries — saving time and reducing audit risk.

 ### 17. Streamlining Complex Accounting with Rillet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

What I like best about Rillet is the combination of powerful automation and exceptional support. The platform handles complex accounting tasks—like multi-entity consolidations and revenue recognition—with impressive speed and accuracy, which saves our team a huge amount of time. But just as important is the Rillet team itself. They’re incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our success. From the initial migration from QBO to ongoing day-to-day questions, they've made the transition smooth and stress-free.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

What I dislike about Rillet is that, while the platform is very powerful, it can feel like a bit of a learning curve at first—especially coming from something more basic like QBO. Some features aren’t always intuitive right away, and it took a bit of time to get fully comfortable navigating the system. That said, the Rillet team has been extremely helpful throughout onboarding and support, which helped us get up to speed quickly.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rillet is solving the challenge of accurately calculating unbilled and deferred revenue, as well as automating revenue recognition for a high volume of annual subscription contracts.

 ### 18. Rillet Simplifies financial reporting and deferred revenue

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom W. | VP, Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet makes it incredibly easy to get a clear and accurate view of our financials. The platform simplifies expense categorization and allows for seamless departmental transaction tagging, making it easy to track costs by team or function. Invoicing has also been automated, eliminating manual entry and reducing errors.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

They’re constantly rolling out new features and improvements. The team is highly responsive to feedback, making it clear that they prioritize user needs.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accurate financial data, streamlined revenue recognition, HubSpot integration.

 ### 19. Easy to use and a great team to support you!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Firstly, Rillet's implementation team is top-notch, stacked with finance and accounting experience, and ensures an incredibly smooth onboarding. Secondly, the platform is intuitive and helps to automate several key workflows to allow finance teams to become more strategic and have confidence that their underlying ERP data is accurate. The contract-to-cash workflow, deferred revenue automation, and prepaid expense automation alone save us so much time and make this tool pay for itself. I can't recommend this highly enough for all companies, but particular SaaS and usage-based businesses.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

None, apart from some usual early-stage UI improvements that the team is already working on and very receptive to receiving feedback on.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Added automation and efficiency of contract-to-cash, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, bank recons, among other things. Rillet allows me to spend significantly less time on these types of tasks, and more time on adding strategic value to the business and its decision-making process.

 ### 20. Deferred revenue is a breeze

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joanna C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Previously we calculated deferred revenue manually each month. This worked ok when it wasn't that many customers but was increasing in complexity as customer count grew quickly. Unique deal structures (split payments, quarterly invoices etc) were also becoming more common. Rillet calculates our deferred revenue automatically, handles all customer invoices and automatically books the JEs. We also appreciate the ability to run prepaids directly in the software. Overall, we've shaved time off our close and can trust the numbers are right.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

We are very happy with Rillet and their response to our needs and requested updates!

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creation of KPIs / Stripe booking and Automation of our supporting schedules

 ### 21. From QB Desktop to Rillet: Automating Expense Categorization & Cash Reconciliation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Madison B. | Contract Bookkeeper, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Unlike Quickbooks Desktop, Rillet has streamlined our expense management with its seamless Brex integration. Transactions from Brex automatically flow into Rillet and are matched during the cash reconciliation process, saving us significant time and ensuring accuracy. The team has been great to work with too; On-boarding was seamless.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

I would like if the account drop down when choosing from the COA would show the parent to sub accounts. We have a couple sub accounts that have the same name, so I have to remember which account number is correct.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Expense categorization, quick journal entries, month end close automation

 ### 22. The Platform I've Been Longing For

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin K. | Direction, Accounting & Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

We use Rillet to streamline and automate our revenue recognition workflows. We used to manually create journal entries to record our software subscription revenues. Rillet has a workflow to help with contract and invoice matching, as it syncs data from both Salesforce and Stripe. They also reconcile Stripe payouts automatically, which has been a time saver. Rillet also integrates with Rippling and Ramp, which automates journal entries for payroll and A/P. The Rillet team has been amazing and very communicative. The team hit the ground running to help with implementation and the platform has been very intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

With any new disruptor, there were a few hiccups when first working in the product. However, Rillet's team has been very quick to release solutions and workflows to help streamline our month-end close process.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining and automating our month-end close process, which results in less business days required to close the books. Rillet integrates with most software and help creates workflows that save time and ensure accuracy.

 ### 23. The accounting tech stack we always wanted

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krupa P. | Financial Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

The Rillet team helped us do a pre-audit of contracts and rev rec during onboarding. That level of guidance made a huge difference. I also love the various reports like revenue waterfall, ARR waterfall and more SaaS specific ones like logo retention.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

As with any new system, there’s a learning curve, but support has been excellent and the benefits have been immediate.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We pulled together our finance stack - Ramp, Avalara, CRM, and banking - into one system with Rillet. It’s clean and everything just works

 ### 24. The perfect product for SaaS companies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hope C. | Founding Member | Head of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

We ran an extensive search earlier this year to look for products catered to recurring revenue and usage based businesses. We looked at all the traditional GLs and the the rev rec/invoicing and reporting point solutions. Once we came across Rillet it was clear that they were the best fit, combining all the key functionalities SaaS cos need from integrations with Hubspot and Salesforce, ability to do SaaS metric reporting directly in the software and also have all the necessary supporting schedules right in the GL. The team has been great and very thoughtful with our detailed questions during onboarding.

Rillet's CS team has been outstanding, they are available and dedicated to helping us transition from our previous systems.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

The integration with Float is only partially automated. It would be great if we could have a way to mass delete option if there is a lot of mistakes in imports made.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workflow automation across accounting, financial reporting, and metrics

 ### 25. Streamlining our accounting processes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley S. | Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Using Rillet has really streamlined our financial processes. The automation of revenue workflows, especially invoicing and detailed reporting, has been a game-changer. Rillet ensures that all invoices are generated and tracked accurately, while providing comprehensive insights into deferred and recognized revenue. This automation has made it effortless to monitor payments and maintain cash flow stability. They also integrate seamlessly with Ramp, which we use for employee expenses and vendor bill pay. Additionally, their customer support via our account manager has been unmatched. I highly recommend Rillet to any business aiming to streamline and automate their accounting processes.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Improving the automatic sync feature to better support international banks would enhance the efficiency and convenience of managing our global financial transactions.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Rillet primarily to automate and manage our revenue workflows and invoicing processes. Rillet serves as our main platform for handling Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and recognized revenue, ensuring that these critical financial metrics are accurately tracked and reported

Rillet is solving several key problems for us, primarily by providing an easy invoicing solution through a one-step upload process. This feature allows us to quickly generate and send invoices with minimal effort. The built-in automation then takes over, automatically sending invoices to our customers and sending reminders as needed.

 ### 26. Enhanced reporting & easy to learn software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Minakshi G. | Founding Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has helped centralize our tech-stack, allowing us to use Rillet as the source of truth for our bookkeeping and reporting. Our entire end-to-end processes can be fully handled in Rillet

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

There is nothing that I dislike, but there are suggestions for improvement. Connecting with RBC Express bank through a direct API integration would be great. Also, the ability to generate vendor POs.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seamless integration between vendor, send management and payroll system. Accounting books are updated almost real time which enhances datadriven decision making

 ### 27. Smooth implementation process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Implementation team includes accountants that have a technical understanding of the data and can make recommendations off of their real world accounting experience. They also took on all the heavy lifting of pulling our historical data and making sure everything reconciles day one. We were concerned the transition from NetSuite would be stressful but Rillet team and systems made it so easy.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

None. The staff and software seems very professional.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workflow automation across accounting, financial reporting, and metrics.

 ### 28. We really like RIllet!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik M. | SVP, Finance, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has streamlined and automated our revenue processes across Salesforce and Stripe including mulitple products and product types (e.g. usage). The accounting and reporting automations have helped us save several days every month in terms of close time, improved accuracy and allowed the team to uplevel their work and focus on strategic initiatives. A significant gain we've experienced with Rillet is revenue recognition entries are booked automatically and all MRR/ARR and Deferred Revenue schedules tie up nicely to the GL. With mostly automated, detailed accounting entry, Rillet has helped with data integrity, which has improved management discussions internally as we now focus on the implications of the numbers vs. trying to debate the numbers themselves. The team has been phenomenal to work with, they ran the entire implementation process for us and we were up and running quickly.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing significant. We do see thougtful product improvements each month.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

General ledger, revenue accounting, reporting

 ### 29. Automated ARR and SaaS Metrics with Rillet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has the potential to significantly transform the revenue reconciliation process for venture-scale SaaS companies. By moving from a labor-intensive manual approach utilizing Excel—often susceptible to errors—to a fully automated system, organizations could realize substantial time savings and reduce the incidence of human error. This would facilitate a more straightforward reconciliation of deferred revenue with the invoice schedule each month, enabling teams to concentrate on higher-level strategic tasks. The resulting enhancement in productivity and decision-making could greatly improve overall operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

We have provided some early feedback on UI improvements which the Rillet team has built since.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ARR reporting, deferred revenue schedule, revenue waterfall, month-end revenue close automation

 ### 30. Rillet: Revenue Ease & Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erin S. | Senior Associate, CFO & Controllership Advisory, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has been incredibly useful in compiling revenue data clearly. The various reports, such as revenue-by-customer analysis, make month-end close analysis quick and efficient. Additionally, the website is user-friendly, easy to navigate, and customizable. Whenever we have questions, the team is always eager to help and ensures a great user experience.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

I’m looking forward to features that allow more flexibility for revenue recognition adjustments (like for voided invoices and credit memos) to better align with the service period. This will help streamline and enhance the month-end close process.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rillet makes it easier to view data from a high-level perspective and make informed business decisions.

 ### 31. It's time for the future of finance and RIllet is it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John M. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet's a full general ledger replacing QBO, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, the product they've built is incredible. I've been a customer for a few months now and enjoy the experience a lot. They're Stripe integration is best in market and basically automates the whole revenue recognition workflow. Everything pulls in across their various integrations (AP, payroll, etc) and natively populates most of the journal entries required for the close. Their reporting section is powerful too, they do SaaS metrics natively in the platform and consolidate financials across multiple entities and currencies.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Not much so far, every time I have a question their team is very responsive and knowledgable and they have used my feedback to drive quick product iterations

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Rillet to run all of our accounting and our SaaS Metrics

 ### 32. The Future ERP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffani K. | Staff Accountant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet is amazingly simple to use. Rillet allows for seamless transition between GAAP and SaaS metrics. The team is fantastic to work with!

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Mid-term contract changes is a bit clunky but no more so than any other accounting software. I believe this feature is being upgraded soon.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ARR, revenue recognition, billing, financial statements

 ### 33. Rillet has helped us stay on top of our AR workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vanessa L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has significantly streamlined my financial processes, serving as thesource of truth for Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and recognized revenue. We rely on Rillet for invoicing our clients and monitoring payments promptly. Our business model can be intricate but it has been seamless with the help from Rillet's team. Moreover, the team's responsiveness has been great -- they are incredibly responsive and it makes it easy for me to juggle between a multitude of different tasks. Rillet is also always constantly pushing for new features that make the workflow better and better by the day!

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Not much! I'd like to bring in some of the data in Rillet back into Salesforce. Currently the integration is only one-way, though they said they're working on a two-way sync.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Rillet, we invoiced our customers via Stripe. This is an unautomated solution and it began more and more difficult to audit as we scaled.

 ### 34. In search for a new-age GL

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Per T. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

I was looking for a new GL that's a lot more automated than what I currently have and is working on cutting-edge features with AI. I found Rillet and the tool has been great to work with. We're a non-profit so I wasn't 100% sure at first if Rillet would be a fit. It turns out their workflows are very well-fitted for us. I like their flexibility with their classification function a lot, which allows me to classify revenue and expenses at a fine-grained level with what they call various "Fields". The team has been great to work with too

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

A few smaller things like having additional data fields on list views or more filtering options

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Rillet I used one of the legacy players that did not easily integrate with any third party offerings or even our bank.

 ### 35. Rillet for better reporting and a sleeker interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drew B. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

We moved from QBO to Rillet last year. The product allows us to track revenue by location which is an important metric for our investors. It's also a lot more intuitive than what we had before.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

We've had a few bumps during the set up where things were not properly configured, the team was really helpful in resolving these and we are on a good track now.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps with better reporting

 ### 36. Amazing partner in the ERP landscape for SaaS startups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet has been an amazing tool we use with our SaaS clients, both through financial reporting, investor updates and just plain ease of use. Our team loves using Rillet. The time we now spend closing the books has been drastically reduced, both through automations and improving our workflows.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing - they have been a great tool for our clients.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enhancing reporting, reducing time spent on client services

 ### 37. Faster + easier board preparation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Farhan A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet's great for businesses that have outgrown QBO and especially if you're a business with recurring revenue a lot of their automations are fantastic. It's really built for SaaS businesses through and through and you can tell from the functionalities they have around revenue recognition, to the reporting they have natively all the way to the non-GAAP metrics they include with ARR, cohorts and many more. The system is very easy to use and learn. Rillet's made my board prep a lot easier as it combines both accounting and SaaS metrics in one system and is easy to pull from and drill into any nuances, it's become easy to trust our numbers with Rillet

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing I can think of so far. I have not yet found any major issues with the product.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting and reporting

 ### 38. Enjoyable to use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor S. | Chief Operating Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Easy to use, easy to understand, great support, and it has all the features we need in a modern organization.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Any question or hicup we've had has been resolved quickly. I trully have nothing to dislike about this system.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting and reporting.

 ### 39. Accounting on Rillet

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

We use Rillet as our GL and the experience has been great so far, clean UI and easy to navigate. We run them alongside with Ramp and the integration there has been seamless.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing really; it works great with the integrations, including the Stripe integration.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting, General Ledger.

 ### 40. Rillet GL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, making the learning curve quick and smooth. The automated prepaid schedule feature is fantastic, and the deferred calculations being automated is a huge time-saver!

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

During our AP integration migration, some transactions were duplicated, which required manual cleanup. However, their engineering team was incredibly helpful in identifying the duplicates and assisting with their removal.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Streamlining the process of closing the books.

 ### 41. Great accounting software. Easy to use and super intuitive!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Javier C. | CFO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

It has a lot of automations that make my CFO life easier. Is super intuitive and low maintenance. Is also very easy to configure regarding chart of accounts, reports etc... definitely a perfect tool for your finance tech stack inf you are a Mid-market software company.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Nothing major. Maybe the appearence could be more joyful!

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automations, invoicing and collections and reporting.

 ### 42. SaaS metrics + Accounting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

SaaS metrics + general ledger in one platform

Implementation was very straight forward and access to customer support has been a treat.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Accounting functionality isn't as customizable / easy to use as Quickbooks

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Better SaaS metric reporting than Stripe and makes customer data much easier to digest that trying to pull it out of Stripe.

 ### 43. Rillet is our New Hub for Accounts Receivable and its very helpful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maximus G. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Easy graphs to see churn and how much money that I'm owed. AR in Stripe is super difficult but Rillet helps says businesses focus on the numbers that matter

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

The graphs are new to me as a first time founder so I'd like to have more tools tips and explaining what I'm looking at and why it matters

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need help knowing who still owes us money and as soon as they stop paying. Then I can easily visualize the metrics that matter for investors

 ### 44. Stripe Payout Reconcilliation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet natively integrates with Stripe and auto reconciles payouts, fees, voids etc fully automatically. This process used to take me a couple of days every month in QBO and is now fully automated in Rillet. All that Stripe data also feeds into their reporting module which now allows us to track ARR very closely already over the course of the month and have a sense of where the month will end up.

On the accounting side Rillet also has revenue and prepaid schedules directly embedded in the software which automates my work there. Overall the UI is pretty slick and the team has been very helpful answering our questions and helping with the implementatino and catering for the nuances of our business.
"

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Biggest area of improvement for them are integrations. We have Navan and bill.com, and while they have a purpose built upload that part still requires more manual work than it used to on QBO.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Rillet to close our books every month and for financial reporting. Key problem it solves for us is the Stripe integration which helps on both the ongoing accounting work as well as better reporting and revenue recognition.

 ### 45. Next Gen SaaS Accounting Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Automation & Reporting.

Rillet is the first accounting software that has the concept of contracts built right into the product. This makes ASC 606 compliance a dream. With seamless integration with Stripe & Ramp, our month-end close practically runs itself. All our prepaids expenses and revenue recognition are done automatically.

The reporting should also be mentioned. All the golden SaaS metrics are calculated and built right into the software, eliminating the headache of finding another point solution for our reporting needs. The SaaS P&L is also a favorite. Having a native report breaking down our P&L by cost centers is a game changer.

One last thing should be mentioned is the customer support and onboarding experience has been wonderful. Kristen and Laryssa were extremely helpful with getting us setup on Rillet, and it was very refreshing to have people with an accounting background involved setting up an accounting software.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Limited integration.

Rillet suffers from what most new software suffers from, which is limited integration. This is something will likely change in time. I will say the level automation will likely vary based on your tech stack. If you already have Salesforce, Stripe, and Ramp you will likely get the most out of the software. If you have different solutions, Rillet will still work, but you wont see the “magical” automation that it can offer.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rillet has SaaS first accounting solutions and outstanding reporting. It is refeshing to see accounting software assist this unique industry.

 ### 46. Best GL for SaaS businesses!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

"I've been using Rillet for a while now. There has been an adjusting period coming from QBO but once you get the hang of it it's really intuitive. They make revenue recognition really easy (including recognizing usage revenue) with their built-in schedules and our customers really appreciate the whole SaaS metrics section they have. So me doing the revenue work for GAAP accounting directly gives my customer insight into their ARR, burn multiples, and many more. I love their native Stripe integration which makes all the reconciliation work with Stripe really easy. I also appreciate their ability to schedule prepaids, that's one less supporting sheet for us to maintain.

Their team is great to work with and have helped with the full implementation of the software. The rate at which they roll out new features is exciting"

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Some of the drill-in views are a little clumsy to get into Excel. They added bill pay to their Ramp integration capabilities a few months ago which is helpful, that part was manual before

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Rillet as the GL for some of our saas customers. It's also helpful for reporting and recognizing usage revenue

 ### 47. A new type of GL

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam P. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

The software is easy to use and has strong reporting functionality built-in with e.g. the revenue waterfall and deferred revenue reports which are very handy for covering saas clients. They've clearly built Rillet with accountants in mind, I was so excited to see their prepaid functionality, it's such a simple feature and it helps save a bit of time every month. They also integrate natively with Expensify and some other tools we use. Rillet support multi-currency seamlessly which has been important for one of our customers. I've seen Rillet from the earliest of days and am excited to see the product grow further!

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

I'm hoping they can bring out multi-entity consolidation soon, we've been talking to them about it and it would help a lot for our customers that have international footprints or multiple entities in the US, that's the biggest feature request I have for them

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Closing the books, recognizing revenue, transaction coding - basically the full book close cycle for some of our SaaS customers

 ### 48. SaaS metrics tie to our GAAP financials

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 09, 2024

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Rillet contains a lot of the SaaS metrics that I need to complie at the end of the month natively in our GL. It's become easy for me to reconcile our accounting with the metrics side of the house that we need to prep for our board meetings. Most numbers are fully drillable which makes it really easy to understand the fluctuations and double check if something looks off. I like their implementation team a lot, they were very helpful in getting us started. I also like how intuitive and sleek the UX is.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

I wish they had a bit more documentation on how the metrics work so folks can self-study vs. having to ask their support team

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Book close, rev rec, open AR, ARR reporting

 ### 49. Simple to get started, grows with the business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colin Z. | Co-Founder, CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

Easy to get started, high touch customer experience means you aren't stuck getting what you need out of the platform.

Simple way to build basics of finance function for a team where the founders have to do it all. Balance sheet, income statement, cash flow just work, nice for handling investor requests.

Very simple to bridge from the accounting function into invoicing for our SaaS model.

Team is great to work with, respond quickly and hanlde bumps well.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

Not always easy to track transactions and categorization for a non-finance person, little more slice and dice on reporting would be nice.

Couple bumps with access to data in some of our systems, but team handled the issues well.

Mobile experience needs some love.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Needed to get accounting off the ground with zero finance background, eventually turned into the problem of gather and recognizing revenue. Solves the problem on both accounts.

 ### 50. Finally, a Quickbooks and Netsuite alternative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2023

**What do you like best about Rillet?**

For too long, the only real ERP path for startups is the Quickbooks/Netsuite duopoly. Rillet has finally changed that, and has done so by building an incredibly intelligent/connected modern ERP from the ground up. Rillet is data-forward, incredibly intuitive, and uses integrations with upstream systems to both better inform your GL (and therefore your business) but also automate aspects of your accounting process that have historically been manual (prepaids, deferred rev, etc.).

In addition to standard reports (P&L, BS, Agings, etc.), it has out of the box SaaS KPIs and other reports allowing you to dive deep into the makeup of your most important business metrics (and they actually work/reflect reality). Everything loads instantly so there is no waiting around as you're trying to locate support for a transaction, and its customizeable to best capture your business.

One of the smartest things about Rillet is their implementation strategy. The worst part of any Finance operators job is having to do a tightly orchestrated ERP migration with no turning back and no room for error. The Rillet folks solved that by integrating with your existing ERP (in my case, quickbooks) and running it as a mirror image until you're ready to do your first close in Rillet. It was a totally seamless, no-risk switch from quickbooks to Rillet and we always had our up-to-date quickbooks instance there if we needed a fallback (we didn't, and ended up sunsetting quickbooks 30 days later). We signed in June and did our first close in Rillet in August.

Their team may be small but they are mighty! They innovate at an incredibly rapid pace and listen to what their customers need as a first order priority. We had a small feature we wanted to see and it was released within a week.

Whether you're a founder looking for your first ERP, a quickbooks user thinking there's no alternative, or you've outgrown your first ERP and are thinking you need to jump up to Netsuite, then Rillet is perfect for you.

**What do you dislike about Rillet?**

As they are only a few years old they still have a lot ahead of them to build. The core product is fully functional and reliable as an ERP, but it would be great to see additional modules, like an AP processing solution, mutli-entity consolidation (they do support multi-entity currently, but no consolidation. I know they're working on it!), Employee Expense, etc.

**What problems is Rillet solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it as our core ERP/GL. It handles the whole MEC cycle and automates many aspects of the close process. It also is useful for its business KPIs (MRR, etc.) and makes it painless to jump into financial statements to find drivers/changes/flux issues
