What do you like best about Rhymetec?

Memori Hill, our dedicated vCISO, has been exceptional throughout a 2+ year engagement. The bi-weekly meeting cadence, maintained without interruption from 2023 to present, creates consistent accountability. Rhymetec takes clear ownership of Vanta: uploading evidence, managing test statuses, coordinating vendor security reviews for 10+ vendors, and tracking action items with an explicit split between Rhymetec and client responsibilities. This structured format keeps both sides honest. The team guided us from a standing start to ISO 27001:2013 certification, and successfully completed our ISO 27001:2022 surveillance and transition audit, a significant achievement that directly strengthens our sales motion with enterprise clients. What do you dislike about Rhymetec?

Nothing much, really. Some strategic projects like COPPA compliance and Trust Center setup have moved more slowly than expected. Parallel Learning engaged Rhymetec as our virtual CISO to build and manage a comprehensive information security program. They have guided us through ISO 27001:2013 initial certification, the ISO 27001:2022 transition audit, SOC 2 compliance work, COPPA compliance planning, and continuous security program operations. Their work enables us to win enterprise healthcare and education contracts that require demonstrated compliance credentials. Without an internal CISO, Rhymetec provides the institutional knowledge, regulatory expertise, and consistent execution that would otherwise fall through the cracks for a growth-stage company. What do you dislike about Rhymetec?

We’ve had really great experiences with the vCISOs we’ve worked with since we started partnering with Rhymetec. The only downside, in our opinion, is how often it feels like our vCISO has changed. It has sometimes seemed like we’d go through a full cycle (i.e., about a year), and then our vCISO would switch—either getting promoted into another role or moving on for some other reason. Rhymetec successfully blends a top-notch team of security experts with a personable, genuine partnership. When we partnered with Rhymetec, we discussed in detail how they could help us and what we wanted from the relationship—from weekly meetings to audit support, guidance, and keeping us on track, as well as teaching us best practices so we can monitor things internally on our own. I recommend asking Rhymetec lots of questions, requesting to meet with current clients, and carefully weighing the pros and cons of managing your business’s security efforts alone versus working with Rhymetec. "Extremely Useful vCISO Support—Always Helpful and Quick to Respond"
