It is very lightweight. You can run it on a Mac or PC with low specs. It is fast compared to other software. It is one of the best tools for surfacing forms and creating parametric patterns. It is very versatile - you can use it for industrial design, transportation design, architecture, etc. It can import and export to different formats like STEP and OBJ, which is very helpful. It doesn't have a structural functionality. It is more of a shaping tool (surfacing,shaping, forming) rather than a building tool(assemblies, stacking forms,adding,subtracting,shaping,surfacing,forming). Cannot be used for creating assemblies.It is not readily parametric but you can add grasshopper to your workflow and make it parametric. It is not easy to use . It is a very flexible tool, with an easy interface to undertand and navigate. I use it at my work for initial ideation of new products and have used it since I was in school. I don't like that when I have newer files I cant open them in my previos versions unless I convert them. But other than that the tools is very versatil.
