As a service business with several different contracting scenarios and cadences to our revenue recognition, it was easy to set up the plans to match at contract signing and then adapt to actuals as the team was able to execute the contract. It worked seamlessly with our dashboards and it is invaulable to the team in projecting revenues and cash flow.

We have been using for about a year now and have had to make a few additions based on our business. Editing the plans is not as user friendly so our in house SF team can do it---but not as easy for the regular SF user, which is only a downside for making quick edits---but great for internal controls! revVana is a lightweight yet powerful extension of Salesforce that pairs particularly well with Salesforce CPQ. It allowed me to forecast not only my expected revenue on closed deals, but model out my consultants' expected utilization in a cheaper and easier way than with a tool like FinancialForce. One of its best features is also a drawback, and that is its flexbility. revVana gives the ability to split and/or roll up revenue forecasting by region, team, product, business unit, etc. It's critical to find a consulting team knowledgable in revVana best practices to ensure you don't over-engineer. Wave6 uses revVana plan to help automate our pre-sales process from estimation to resourcing and as importantly takes advantage of the native forecasting capabilites in Plan to forecast and project revenue over time from those inital plans. This has been a game changer for us and has eliminated a highly manual process allowing us to streamline and expand usage of Salesforce within our pre-sales and project governance processes. Like any software, understanding what revVana does well is important. It is very good at laying out schedules of people, products and revenue in the context of an overall bookings/revenue forecast.
