**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Revit is reasonably simple to learn and use, and has remained very consistent over the decade or so that I have used it. It is surprisingly versatile and has ben able to handle almost anything I've thrown at it.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

I generally find that new features are slow to roll out, and tend to focus on major flashy integrations that attempt to expand the software, rather than the minor little tweaks and improvements which would actually improve daily processes.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revit supports the detailed design and construction drawing process.

  ### 2. It's a very good software to do all the tasks in order to complet all of them in the best time

Sometimes i dont agree in the way that some things are made of like topography and levels, but they are working on it on future updates

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The way things are arranged and how you can do all of your task without loosing some information, it has a very intuitive menu that you can understand in a couple of seconds

  ### 3. My Revit Experience: What I Liked and What I Didn't

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shreyan R. | Business Analyst, Construction, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

It provides accurate digital representations of buildings and is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

Inability to open/ save files in previous versions

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating accurate digital representations of buildings that include both graphical and non-graphical information about the building becomes essential for everyone working in the AEC sector. In addition to helping create accurate digital representations of buildings, Revit enables end users to add their own additional properties as needed. The main benefit of Revit is that it produces attributes based on actual building data and takes into consideration different elements in different ways. With real-time updates and shared data, all teams can collaborate on the same model using Revit's BIM platform. Additionally, Revit saves time because an architect doesn't have to draw elevations and sections independently as revit provides the same functionality while creating plans. With the use of Revit's energy analysis tools, designers can simulate energy consumption, optimize building performance, and evaluate how different design choices may affect sustainability. As a professional working in BIM, Revit helps me personally by saving my time and effort when developing accurate building models compared to creating merely plans. It also makes quality assurance of models easier because I only need to make changes in one view to update changes across numerous views.

**Reviewed Date:** December 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

The most useful aspect of Revit is the ability to model in 3D, which means that any change you make to the model will be updated in each of the created views, plans, details, and quantity tables, something that didn't happen when you modeled or designed in 2D with other software.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

For the Latin American region, what I like the least is the price that must be paid, as our currencies are worth less than the dollar, making software expensive for design and modeling companies.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basically solve everything and if it doesn't, it's necessary to have knowledge of DYNAMO, which is a type of plugin for Revit that even allows you to program. It's a very powerful tool that helps when modeling and providing information about the different designs to the model and taking it to a 5D level, even with quantities and construction schedule.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa F. | Systems Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

Revit is powerful and feature-rich, making it ideal for complex BIM (Building Information Modeling) projects. Its ease of use, once you’re familiar with it, allows users to create highly detailed architectural models with an impressive level of accuracy. The software's parametric modeling is a standout feature, enabling us to make quick adjustments across the entire model when a change is made. Revit also integrates smoothly with other Autodesk products, streamlining the workflow and easing implementation. We rely on its extensive library of components, which speeds up modeling and helps maintain consistency in our projects.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

While Revit’s capabilities are extensive, handling large models can lead to performance issues, especially on less powerful computers. The initial learning curve is steep, especially for new users unfamiliar with BIM software, and the setup for customization can take time. Although Revit provides solid customer support, complex integrations with other software can occasionally require additional assistance. It’s also a resource-intensive tool, meaning teams need fairly high-performance hardware for smooth functionality.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revit allows us to centralize all building data, creating a unified environment where team members can collaborate seamlessly. This reduces errors and miscommunication across disciplines, from architecture to engineering. By automating updates across the model, it saves time and minimizes the chance of inconsistencies. Revit’s collaborative features improve efficiency and allow us to work with greater precision, benefiting both our workflow and project outcomes.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria Alejandra E. | Design Professional 4, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

It's a well thought software. I have been using it for several year and everytime I get a more complex project, I can't imagine to draw it like in the old days. Revit makes it possible.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

The groups can get easily affected and get some errors that would ungroup them with no other choice than that with minor changes when editing that you just don't understand why it's affecting the integrity of the group...

Also, again with the groups, I haven't found an option in which when filtering all the families of a category, I could also grab the ones inside a group. if those families are inside a group, there is no way to select them without entering group by group, which can be very tedious if you have a large scale project...

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When BIM is correctly made, things should just work. In other words, with Revit we can build a complex building with as much detail and information as wanted, we can compare between other models, collaborate with larger teams, track changes and clashes, etc. Revit can be a great tool to build without surprises, because you had a virtual version of the reality.

  ### 28. Exploring Revit and its upsides and downsides

It allows for you to be very detailed with your documents with the ability to see any issues quickly. It is now the only software I use daily for Architectural drawings.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

Sometimes the file size can be massive, but that makes sense given what it can do.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows me to see design issues before documents go out for review and/or to contractors. It also allows me to show the client exactly what the building will look like before construction begins.

  ### 32. Awesome BIM experience, but needs more space for user control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noah H. | Graduate student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2024

**What do you like best about Revit?**

I love the ease of designing a building from the most basic level to high end, mass detailed projects.

**What do you dislike about Revit?**

I wish Revit had more user control when it comes to design. As an architecture student, I love using Revit to make floor plans and sections, but sometimes it can be hard to edit or place things when it needs to be done fast for the design process. Revit as a platform feels like it caters to visualizing the project at the end rather than as a tool to use in the design process.

**What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having an easy place to organize BIM
