"The Future of AI Calling – Retell AI Review"
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

The conversations don’t feel robotic like most AI calling tools. The voice responses sound natural, the response time is fast, and it can handle real conversations smoothly without awkward pauses.

I also liked how easy it was to build and customize call flows based on different business needs. Most of the important features are already available within the platform itself, so there’s very little extra configuration or setup needed compared to other tools. The integrations and automation features save a lot of manual work, especially for customer support and follow-up calls. Overall, it feels like a practical, complete, and reliable platform rather than just another AI demo tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

while the platform is powerful, some advanced customizations and workflow debugging can take time to fully understand in the beginning. There’s a learning curve when trying to fine-tune conversations for more complex use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best AI Voice Platform for Building Dental Clinic Receptionists"
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

Retell AI makes it incredibly easy to build

production-ready AI voice agents. The webhook

integration with n8n is seamless, the LLM

playground makes testing fast, the Knowledge

Base feature is a game changer for FAQ handling,

and the voice quality is natural enough for

real clinic reception use. I built a fully

functional AI dental receptionist with 8

functions, after-hours mode, and GHL CRM

integration in under two weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

The LLM chat playground does not save

conversation history, which makes iterative

testing harder. Pricing transparency for

Knowledge Base usage could be clearer.

Would also love more built-in error logging

when webhook calls fail during live calls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong Product and Responsive Support — Still Some Growing Pains to Work Through"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

Retell AI is straightforward and relatively easy to use. The platform offers a strong feature set, a clean interface, and makes it easy to build and iterate quickly. Customer support has also been responsive overall, though faster turnaround times would make the experience even stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

Retell AI is still a growing platform, and some areas feel early-stage. Support scalability, foundational tooling, reporting, evaluations, observability, and operational AI management capabilities are still evolving. There’s strong potential, but some enterprise-grade features and deeper operational controls are not yet fully mature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Well Designed and Comprehensive Platform for the voice agents"
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

What I like most about Retell AI is how quickly it enables the creation of production-ready AI voice agents without needing to build complex telephony or speech pipelines from scratch. The API-first design makes it easy to integrate with backend systems, and the latency is low enough to support near real-time conversational experiences.

The platform also abstracts a lot of difficult infrastructure work (speech-to-text, LLM orchestration, text-to-speech, call handling), which significantly reduces development time. For developers, the webhook and function-calling style integrations are especially useful for connecting external tools and APIs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

One limitation is that customization can feel somewhat constrained when trying to implement very complex or highly specialized conversational logic. While the system works well for standard use cases, deeper control over conversation state, routing logic, or low-level audio handling is limited compared to fully self-built pipelines.

Another downside is that pricing can become significant at scale, especially for high-volume voice applications. Additionally, debugging multi-step conversational flows is not always very transparent, which can make troubleshooting edge cases slower than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Blown away how well Retell AI is able to answer calls."
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

What I like best about Retell AI is the combination of cost, value, and quality. As a small business owner just getting started, it’s been incredibly helpful to have access to a service that feels premium without a premium price tag. It allows me to present a high-quality, professional front end to my customers, which is huge for building trust and credibility early on. It genuinely feels like I’m offering something polished and established, even while I’m still growing my brand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

At this stage, I don’t have any major complaints, but there are a couple of areas where I think Retell AI could improve. Since everything is still new to me, more structured training resources or tutorials would be really helpful—especially around dialing in the personality and behavior of the AI agent. That’s been one of the more challenging parts to fine-tune.

I’ve been able to make progress using tools like ChatGPT, but having clearer guidance directly within the platform would make the process smoother and faster. I’ve also noticed a slight delay between when a user speaks and when the AI responds. It’s not a dealbreaker, but reducing that lag would make the experience feel even more natural and seamless. "This is super Fantastic"
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

Retell AI makes building and deploying voice AI agents incredibly fast and simple. The real-time conversation quality, low latency, and natural-sounding responses stand out the most. It’s especially helpful for creating scalable customer support or automation systems without needing deep technical complexity. The platform feels developer-friendly while still being powerful enough for real-world use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

While Retell AI is powerful, it can feel limited in customization for more advanced or niche use cases. Debugging conversations and fine-tuning behavior isn’t always straightforward. Pricing and scalability may also become concerns for smaller developers or startups. Additionally, better documentation and clearer onboarding would make the platform more accessible for beginners. "Highly recommend Retell AI if you want more customers without extra staff."
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

Retell AI has been a game-changer for my HVAC business posted on Craigslist, and I’ve been getting a lot more qualified leads and service calls. The AI sounds very natural, handles customer conversations well, books jobs for me, and works great even when I’m out on calls. Super easy to use and it’s already paying for itself many times over. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

I don’t have any major dislikes at the moment. The only small thing is that it occasionally needs a bit of fine-tuning for very specific HVAC technical questions, but overall it’s performing excellently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to set-up, easy to use, and incredibly intelligent."
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

Once you can figure out the interface, it is super simple to use. The voices sound very natural, and the intelligence layer is pretty stunning. AI does a fantastic job of capturing context, and if you take the time to set up the after-call analysis features properly, you get incredibly rich details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

It can get expensive. If you are getting a high number of calls and using an advanced AI model to interpret and guide the conversation, expect to pay upwards of $1 per call for 4 - 5 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy use"
5/5
What do you like best about Retell AI?

What I like most about Retell AI is how fast it is to build realistic voice agents that actually sound natural and useful for real businesses. The latency is low, the voice quality feels human, and the workflow for connecting telephony with AI is much cleaner than many other platforms. It makes it practical to build sales, support, and appointment agents without creating unnecessary complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retell AI?

One downside is that pricing can become expensive quickly when testing multiple calls or scaling to many customers. Also, some advanced integrations and setup steps can feel technical for non-developers, especially around telephony providers and production deployment. Better onboarding for business users and clearer cost visibility would make the platform even stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
