What do you like best about Replit?

Replit provides access to generative AI coding assistants that can review and edit code. When it works properly, it is extremely useful. Setting up integrations like Cursor AI is also fairly easy due to well-structured tutorials from the dev team. Replit Agent is the beginning of what agentic AI will be. For a quick MVP to test ideas it is a interesting solution that people can test out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

While the gen AI features are useful, they can sometimes fail to handle simple tasks out of the blue. For example it will tell you to change the code on your own, when it is supposed to edit in situ. Or will say it can't see your code when that is a main functionality of the tool. In these cases, restarting the environment is often necessary, but can be very frustrating when that also doesn't work. The biggest drawback, however, is the mandatory MIT license requirement when publishing your Repl to the web. This lack of privacy control removes a key incentive for me. I still use it but I won't publish any Repls to the web. Additionally, while Replit Agent has potential, the code it produces is often bloated, or risks inserting code breaking changes that can cost a developer hours to debug, which often is easier to just delete the Repl and start again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

Replit provides an accessible, browser-based IDE with generative AI assistants offering real-time code suggestions, debugging, and edits directly within the platform. It also takes the burden of my computing resources as the code is executed on the cloud with their servers. Additionally, while I didn't use the functionality, Replit allows teams to work together on the same project seamlessly. For my own purposes, Replit has been particularly useful in quickly testing and iterating on ideas, as well as working via SSL through Cursor AI to work in my comfort zone. What do you like best about Replit?

I've been using the new Replit Agent tool for several months and its unbelievable what I can build as a non-coder. I've built all kinds of apps for both business and personal use. If you would have told me a year or two ago that I could build these tools without coding knowledge I would have told you your crazy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

Replit Agent is still a beta tool and it can occasionally get into a loop and not quite do what I want it too. That being said, I can't imagine where this tool will be in a year or two from now! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm building small software tools that solve small probelms for me. The cost is so low that I can build single use applications for my business to accomplish a small task that saves me hours to weeks of time. These single use tools wouldn't really be worth it to have our dev team build the tool, but having Replit Agent build it makes it super easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Replit?

I am fascinated by the fact that you can finally create code using AI directly in the repo. It happens quickly, gives good results and above all it is a solution that can be deployed immediately and not run later on external servers that you have to be able to configure. For a non-developer this is a great solution that allows you to finally start creating things in the IT world without complicated and specialist knowledge. it is easy to be implemented on a daily basis. I like how it is integrated with deployment services. I use it a lot; ) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

coding agent sometimes loses track and seems to forget what to do (usually when it is given difficult challenges) and falls into a tunnel and tries to solve the problem always in the same way which wastes some of the user's resources Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use Replit for coding, learning new programming languages, and collaborating on projects. It's also a great tool for quickly prototyping and testing ideas. Replit helps me solve issues related to setting up local development environments. It's a hassle-free way to code anywhere, and the collaborative features make working with teammates much easier. I really enjoy using it because it's intuitive and efficient. I can test idead i have in my head but can't find cost-effective dev to help me with them Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Replit?

Replit makes coding incredibly accessible for everyone, regardless of their experience level. The integrated AI Assistant has been a productivity booster—it not only helps debug code but also provides clear explanations of complex issues, saving significant time during development. The Replit Agent has been instrumental in streamlining projects, allowing me to rapidly prototype and build fully functional applications without needing to dive into every intricate detail. This has been a game-changer for delivering solutions efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

I would say become addicated to Replit is really the only real downside. Once you get a taste of building applications so quickly, it becomes so much fun you can't stop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a CPA with a passion for innovation, I wouldn’t traditionally consider myself a programmer. However, Replit has bridged the gap, empowering me to bring my business and project ideas to life without relying on external developers. For example, I’ve used Replit to build prototypes for potential SaaS businesses and automate processes in my logistics company, significantly reducing costs and speeding up development. The platform’s user-friendly interface and powerful tools allow me to experiment, iterate, and deploy solutions quickly, making it a true enabler for entrepreneurship and creative problem-solving. What do you like best about Replit?

I've done more coding with Replit in the last two months than I have in the last 10 years combined. I am a newb at app coding, despite having been a web designer since 1996, but Replit has made it so I'll try my hand at almost anything now, most recently, Typescript. Between the onboard agent, which will give you a quick MVP, the onboard AI for lengthier or more in-depth projects and the ability to use it in conjunction with pretty much any Frontier AI model you have access to, the only limit is your imagination. I've been taking a learn as I go approach, and so far so good. I have various AI mentors to ask any questions I have. I love the history roll back feature, which comes in handy fairly frequently, and the fact that it sets up your entire coding environment and hosts the always on server, makes the whole thing enjoyable rather than infuriatingly complex. I've been doing a lot of my coding on an iPad, surprisingly, as the mobile friendly nature of the web site is that good! Rare, even in this day and age. All in all, it's blowing my socks off, and I am solving my own problems for the most part, but with each new project, my abilities and scope increase, thanks in large part to Replit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

The AI agent can get itself in a muddle, and has its limitations, but as others have commented - this is the worst it'll ever be. Great things can be achieved when humans and bots work together. Can't say I have much more negative to say. The layout and UX is superb! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am writing apps that integrate with Bitcoin SV mainly, something I would previously have not dared to even attempt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Replit?

The Replit AI Agent totally changed the game for me. I do not have coding background, but I've always been passionate about creating my own business in the SAAS space. Before this, I've never been able to really go far with my ideas because I needed to first get a developer to help me build even a prototype. with Replit Agent, now I'm building a business idea almost every day, and am able to validate the idea with real users when Replit help enable me to deploy it into production. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

At this point, I don't really see any urgent areas for improvements. IF I have to identify an area that I hope Replit would improve, it would be on how the Replit Agent can be more interactive to explain to me what it is doing while it is doing it. This would help me learn what are the issues that the Agent is trying to solve, and whether there are alternatives to my prompts that could help it solve problems in codes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I don't code. Replit Agent is able to transform my business ideas into an actual working prototype that's deployed into production, all in one place. I'm particularly impressed by how the Replit Agent is also able to act as my technical co-founder when it would also suggest features that I could consider adding to my ideas. What do you like best about Replit?

Is an innovative product and good for very small projects, is ease to use and at the beginning of the projects make awesome implementation and saves a lot of time.

The solutions have a complete set of functionalities to review what is happening in the implementation and testing.

Frecuently of use: I use this solution when credits are available for the month because Im waiting for the AI to be more mature, lets say first 2 weeks of the month. Customer support is fine. Integration works good but it can be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

When using the AI prompt, it’s incredibly frustrating because even when you provide specific instructions, it doesn’t follow them. It claims to perform the tasks, but when you track progress, you realize it hasn’t even completed them. To make matters worse, they now have checkpoints, and even if the task isn’t done, they charge you $0.25. There’s no way to accept the work based on its quality; they charge you unilaterally. You also have to be very careful when selecting the options it recommends. They may seem appealing, but the AI tends to loop into doing what it wants rather than what is requested.

Additionally, it generates many errors in the code and breaks functionalities that were already tested. Most of the time, you have to perform regression tests to ensure nothing else was broken. Even when instructed not to touch stable functionalities, it doesn’t comply. The problem is that it doubles or triples the time required to fix things. On top of that, you get charged again for adjustments to something that was supposedly already done. It feels like a scam. If this situation were mirrored with a real-life programmer, anyone would feel cheated and defrauded.

Another issue is that if you incorporate Git for version control and to manage the timing of commits, it becomes completely impossible. The AI performs commits automatically, and there’s no way to revert to a stable version using the version control system other than relying on checkpoints. However, when it creates checkpoints, it might have fixed one thing but broken everything else. This poses a significant risk of losing work that was already completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I’m testing the platform and waiting for it to mature enough to be worth introducing to work teams. It needs to have broader language support and, most importantly, the ability to handle more sophisticated architectures and frameworks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Replit?

As a school superintendent in Grand Island NY, I am using Replit to create web-based educational games. So far "we" (Replit and I) have made a RootQuest game introducing middle school children to the greek and latin root words. We have built word family games, math fact games and a word family tower. These games are deployed and work well. They have leaderboards, user name and password entry points, achievements etc. During each web-based game project I have created, I have noticed improvements in the way Replit organizes your prompt, suggests enhancements and guides the user to create something that is impressive. As a superintendent, I believe we are at the onset of using AI coding tools like Replit to further personalize learning for the students in our classrooms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

I would say as Replit improves it is developing a project faster but still makes mistakes. It is entirely possible that my game ideas are too complex. For example, I have a very lengthy branching narrative game I am building with Replit...but it is so complex that as the Replit game is being built there are multiple erros and it takes a trememndous amount of my time to follow the branching narrative properly to discover those errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

Educationally based games that have high interest levels for the users and enhance a chiild's understanding of various content areas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Replit?

Positives:-

1. Is probably the best tool available for non technical/ business analysts to build applications in quickest time using the Agent

2. With the whole process of code development and deployment, hosting all clubbed and with the agent to code , one doesn't need to even bother ( or know about) on the intricacies of any software development life cycle, tech stack and infrastructure

3. Its an ideal tool to build MVPs, Demo apps or to validate business cases in less than a day, which enables the user to see the feasibility by taking it to market or test with beta users etc

4.With so many templates made available from the contributors as well as Replit itself, idea to a product is the fastest.

5. The vast tech stack availability enables the user to try out even use cases with huge complexities , which other wise a user would not have even thought of to build unique usecases.

6. The Agent by far is the best Developer companion for a user in not only implementing what has been initially requested but also provides enhanced features to expand the horizon of the usecase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

Not so Positive (yet)

1. The cost of the Agent usage could be reduced further for the core plan Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. Trying out complex use cases for which we are not aware of the tech stack even

2. Building Demos for clients to showcase our concept

3. Building MVPs for market / select users validation

4. Helping non technical team members to build internal applications Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Replit?

Replit makes coding feel effortless. I love how quickly I can spin up a project, literally within two hours, and the interface on my computer is a breeze to navigate. It’s also a fantastic option for newcomers to learn how everything connects when building a website. The AI agent is a cool bonus that speeds up development, so I can focus on the creative parts instead of getting stuck on configuration details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Replit?

Sometimes the AIagent gets hung up on small, silly issues like deployment steps that should be straightforward. I’ve had to do some manual workarounds when it couldn’t fix them automatically. Also, using Replit on my iPad feels more sluggish than on my MacBook, so I tend to stick to my laptop for a smoother experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Replit solving and how is that benefiting you?

I love how Replit takes away the hassle of setting up and managing different coding environments. Instead of wrestling with installations or spending forever on config details, I can jump straight into building my ideas right in the browser. That means less time stressing over tech stuff and more time having fun and experimenting. It also helps me collaborate easily, so I can share my projects with friends or teammates and code together in real-time. All in all, Replit just makes coding more chill, efficient, and enjoyable for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
