I love that it have workflow that ensure we complete every necessary steps, convient to add task automatically after log a note, and the best is ability to view everyone's scheudle in one place.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

I dont like that it doesnt link to spouse automatically while logging a note. We like to have all notes in one place without switching client's name to find information in notes that we need.

We needed everything to be in one place and also ability to see all communication between us and clients. Redtail does have that!

EVERYONE is on the same page, sharing contact and other information.  No more sticky notes, missed voicemails, or communication issues.  Trackable, verifiable, efficient.

Takes a minute to get used to BUT help is EVERYWHERE..... if you are hesitating adopting Redtail, you are losing out....embrace soon, embrace in-depth and pat yourself on the back later for you have fundamentally changed your business for the good, better, and best.  Not a day goes by we are not ESTATIC we found Redtail.

Mis-communication and not capturing contact information effiecenetly.  Gone.  We God this, now!

Occasionally, I have had to change computers or set up email accounts for new employees and absolutely rely on customer service to help.

Sometimes when I haven't run a particular report, it's nice to just be able to call and have someone guide me through. In general , it is very easy to run Reports.

The only thing I don't like is that Retriever for Imaging is no longer available for use.

Redtail is always working to keep their product updated with all the changes that occur in our business.  They are very responsive if we need guidance.

Downside of  Redtail is that there are so many changes and it is hard to keep up with them.  In addtion, i don't beleive we are utilizing all we could with what Redtail has to offer as we probably need more training.

Its a great way to keep you business in line with creating tasks and workflows so things do not fal throught the cracks

Its great fro running reports off tag groupd and UDF's and Keywords

Customer support is very efficient 

We operate our whole line of business through the CRM database

I know we have a few but cant think of them now -- I can follow up with an email

but not a lot -- for the most part it rund very good

i likehow its intergration with Zapier. I enjoy that it connects to levitate and zimbra and helps create work flows and systems.

The bad part you can't add bulk contacts which is terrible for those of us who gather leads.

Nothing, except the low cost. But you get what you pay for.

SAVE YOURSELVES A NIGHTMARE AND AVOID REDTAIL. 
We left Salesforce 1YR ago because our contract was up and were going to experience a big price increase. In hindsight, I would happily pay the increased price for Salesforce. I knew there were going to be some growing pains moving to Redtail, but thought they'd smooth out over time. They have not.... and frustration levels have increased 100x.

Redtail might be wortwhile if you are a 1-2 person business with zero technical ability and want a very, very. dumbed down out of the box CRM. If you want to do ANY bulk data import, customize layouts, or require bulk edits, Redtail is absolutely TRASH. You cannot do mass imports or mass edits on your own. You are forced to email Redtail support a "Spreadsheet" and have their techs do it for you. This is ridiculously cumbersome and makes you rely on Redtails crappy workload timeline. On top of that, you are extremely limited on what redtail offers for fields and layouts... which means you end up shoving data in fields that are labeled for other uses. Want to sync you CRM calednar with Outlook? Good luck. Redtails Retriever application created 1000's of duplicate calendar entries and essenttially rendered my Outlook calendar useless.  I waited an hour for a person at Redtail to answer the phone, spent another hour explaining the problem, and I was told I need to "manually" delete all the duplicates. LOL. That would take days if not weeks of wasted time.Their support agents have dropped the ball on simple requests numerous times and do not have direct phone numbers to get contacted. They hide behind a general 800 number.  Redtail has taken our overall business BACKWARDS and created more problems than solutions. Avoid like the plague. 

To top it off, their server SUCKS and is extremely slow loading data. It also times out with error messages WAY too often.

Even with the massive work it takes to switch CRM systems, I will be movign our company away from Redtail at some point soon.

**What do you like best about Redtail Technology?**

I like that you can use Redtail very simply or dive in deep to all they have to offer.  You can just input basic information on clients and search them or you can connect whole families and use Redtail to track exactly what you've been working on with each client in workflows and activities.  The simple functions are fairly user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

Little bugs.  Like if you're inputting a new contact and put a space after their name, they won't come up in a search menu. "First Last " will not show the client when you search. Or in the integration with ClientWorks (which is overall good,) information doesn't always pass over or duplicate profiles get created if one piece of info doesn't match.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redtail is working with one of my coworkers on the duplicate contacts issue that arises when Redtail is integrated with ClientWorks.  It benefits us by keeping data clean and cutting out confusion if there are two contacts with the same name.

**What do you like best about Redtail Technology?**

I love how integrated Redtail can be with various other pieces of software you may use.  In our practice, we have Redtail integrated into our email and planning software, and are also able to connect it to any number of other pieces.  I also like the calendar view on Redtail and how we are able to segment permissions for each staff member.  The ability to build complex workflows is pretty amazing, and allows my practice to follow each piece of business completely through.  This keeps us from missing opportunities and other service issues as well.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

Redtail can be challenging to work with to get the initial setup and understanding done.  Especially the workflows -- getting those set up properly is definitely a challenge.  Once they are set they are wonderful, but has been challenging to properly implement.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redtail helps largely in two ways: integrations and workflows.  The integrations save time once set up by allowing multiple tools to be on one platform.  The workflows help immensely by keeping each process set and each staff member is responsible for their own pieces.

There was nearly an infinite number of customizations and functionality. I appreciated the ability to capture nearly all of the information about a client including their financials and personal details.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

Simply put, it was too big to navigate. I found myself following very convoluted pathways to export items and organizing the system was difficult. Again, there was a lot of functionality but somehow it came across too busy.

Redtail does seem to have the market cornered on financial services CRMs and a number of organization i respect use it.

Web / cloud based (but aren't they all?)

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

Compared to other software tools, a distinct lack of online support and best practice guidance. 

In addition, Redtail advertises Integration but doesn't take reliability seriously.  Redtail's own Retriever Cloud tool, required for integration with Outlook (and therefore to other tools) is unreliable and Redtail admits as such with seemingly no urgency or even interest in fixing it;  We use Redtail calendar, and recently began using an online scheduling tool.  Not being able to count on Redtail to sync means creates stress for staff and forces us to add redundancy via Zapier.

**Recommendations to others considering Redtail Technology:**

Look at alternatives, including WealthBox, which industry colleagues have spoken highly about.  Also consider keeping client data with an alternative tool such as PreciseFP;  Kitces web site is a great resource for researching practice management tools.

It's a CRM, we use it as our primary calendar (poorly - see 'What do you dislike';

Redtail having the ability to bring all customers data including the mails and documents related to one account in single page beside it have secured documentation process ,The best in redtail is the mobile accessibility and amendments and adding new documents or new notes manually from mobile . All the accounts and customers data are organized perfectly and this is the most important beside territory and location categorization and classification, Actually it was helpful in new campaigns in new territories

The extracted reports needs enhancements beside the customer support need to respond earlier but the rest of functions are doing great

Redtail helps keep client info at your fingertips. The software is straightforward to use, and the learning curve is very low once you are in the system for a couple of weeks. A lot of reports and software are customizable. Overall, I have been very pleased with the system's functionality and how it keeps me organized to do my job well.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

If there is anything to dislike about the software, it would be that some of the interface looks a little outdated compared to some of the other softwares on the market. However, this is purely preference. I really do not have anything to knock on about Redtail's software.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redtail helps us stay organized and on top of client tasks and meetings. It's best used for schedule optimization. When you have a large clientele base, software like Redtail is a must-have if you want to be efficient and make sure that all your clients are being taken care of regularly. The benefits have been efficiency, time management, schedule organization, etc.

I don't want to say that redtail is not suitable for everyone, but for our financial services practice, implementation from a proprietary CRM to redtail did not work out for us.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

Compatibility to track financial accounts did not crossover well from our previous system and required manual duplication.  New and unfamiliar to me but to a brand new user, it may be as good as any other system.

**Recommendations to others considering Redtail Technology:**

Use from the get-go and don't transfer over if it can be avoided.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We attempted to use it to house our clients and prospects for financial services.  It has that capability but not functionality in other areas we needed.  Overall would be a good CRM to use from Day one and not transfer into.

It is nice that you can add clients phone numbers and "text" with them but to where multiple people in the organization can see it.

I have had consistently delayed messages from colleagues sometimes up to 2 day after it was sent.

Use Microsoft teams instead for inter office messages.

As a remote worker the instant messages ability with my team is nice. But it's not 100% reliable.

When you search or add people to your CRM they made it super easy to locate clients and add them. I like the fact I'm able to log in and search for a name. It can be by first or last name.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

It glitches once in a while and you will lose all your information. If you go into a contact the back out of it you sometimes have to search again because it clears out your search information.

**Recommendations to others considering Redtail Technology:**

The overall product is great. If you have someone just leading a system it's great. You can do the how-to videos and learn all the items you need to.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't tried to solve any problems, however if you have questions or need help with something they are always willing to help. They also have several how-to videos as well

I have to weigh through a lot of information to build the templates that I need. It would be cool if basic templates were preset for exporting certain needed information, so that I don't have to configure it all myself.
