I like the integration with Orion as it allows us to get rid of repetitive tasks.

I dislike that the AUM # does not link the accounts. We manually have to link the account to the profile/contact.

**What do you like best about Redtail Technology?**

What I like best about RedTail is that it has a ton of integration add-ons, for the most part is user friendly, and has the most helpful staff if you get stuck.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

I think they may have over complicated the report filters. I have to call RedTail every time I want to filter Active clients that have emails, or active clients that have addresses only. The report section is not at all user friendly. But they do have a great staff to walk you through it every time.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They helped me navigate the integration process. Once we had that handled, I just need to go into there and relabel things.

Not much. I guess the search feature could be improved. It’s not easy to search for clients using specific fields like address or phone number.

So many. Keeping track of conversations with clients, keeping all of their information organized and setting ourselves tasks to follow up.

There haven’t been many upgrades to the system in the last few years. I’m hopeful with this AI push at Orion it’ll make some changes for the better!

Redtail is great regarding their capabilities to store data and the interworking's between our team. It is also good for tracking activities and assigning work to other team members.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

It is very strict regarding their protocols for each activity. The workflows and activities have to completed in their format and it can be difficult to work around. Additionally, a lot of the integrations they pitch get 80% of the way there but lack the final execution to work seamlessly as you would hope.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client contact data and activity tracking. Using the software at its simplest level is where we have found the most use. It can store client data and track activities. I wish there was a seemless integration with the outlook calendar but each different option they offer has a drawback in one way or another.

It's the most complete, most intuitive CRM on the market today.  It makes information easy to place, as there is a place for ALL client information and that makes info easy to find when we need it.  No clumsy half windows to click through and everything is labeled logically.

I haven't found any yet, but I've only been using it for 16 years.

It helps with so much - listing and tracking client assets, keeping track of client information, keeping notes and note taking, tracking birthdays, all of our KYC (Know Your Client) info.

I really like the initial setup, the calendar overview, tasks, birthdays for clients, and the structure of the client's information.

Frequently down. That was a huge problem when we had meetings and couldnt access the calendar. Email was down too. They need to remove the feature of holding a meeting and being able to move it on the calendar. This feature is terrible when using a mobile phone and meetings would constantly be changed to incorrect times and dates.

I love that RedTail keeps everything so organized, and it is a way to keep everyone using it updated on things that we may not tell each other in person.

It does not have tutorials.  If there is something that I do not know how to do, I wish they had tutorial videos to explain.

One problem that Redtail solves is that it keeps track of little details of every client that could be forgotten if we did not have this system in place.

Great way to organize notes and activities when I use to write everything down on paper. The caveat is that you must engage with the software daily, at all hours, and rollover activities end of day if incomplete. Practically live in the CRM. Customer support is always readily available to help and guide.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

For one, the Opportunities page cannot be updated in bulk like activities on the dashboard nor client profile. There are areas here and there for QOL improvements. The mobile software is not useable IME.

Great way to document client engagement although the "Description" section for activities does have a word limit it seems! Also, organize activities and ability to schedule and reschedule accordingly.

Redtail is relatively easy to use and secure/compliant. It has all the features where you can store loads of details and find them quite easily.  Redtail University is a great opportunity to learn a lot about all the features and how to use them.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

Redtail alone isn't enough. Although they do work with and have many integrations, things like customizable dashboards, easily tracking changes or progress, or overall project management just aren't easily reportable.  The basics are in Redtail and highly functional. Customization, new ideas and changes, and progress within the tech is SLOW.

Redtail has tried to put out new features, Redtail Speak for example, but we've found that other tech that integrates with Redtail is actually better.

I've used several CRMs in the past, including Salesforce and in-house systems, and Redtail has been by far the easiest to learn and use. The platform is incredibly user-friendly, making my daily workflow much more efficient.

One of the standout features is their exceptional customer service. Whenever I need help navigating the system, I can quickly connect with their team via virtual chat. They’re able to see my Redtail in real time and guide me through the steps, which has been a game-changer.

I also had the opportunity to attend Redtail University, and it was an amazing experience. The training was highly informative, and their team was engaging, lively, and truly invested in helping users get the most out of the CRM.

I highly recommend Redtail to anyone looking for a reliable and intuitive CRM with top-notch support.

Sometimes I am unable to login, and my account will get locked, but their support team is easy to reach and able to unlock it quickly.

We struggled with a highly customized Salesforce interface that wasn’t very user-friendly for new users. Redtail solves this by offering an intuitive platform with excellent support, making it much easier to learn and navigate.

**What do you like best about Redtail Technology?**

So far, our experience with Redtail has been almost exclusively positive. Their system is very detailed and in depth, yet not overwhelming. You can add a lot to a client’s profile, and everything is easy to find and maintain. The fact that they pull the clients’ data directly from our Broker Dealer and emails from outlook is a huge help.  

We’ve had no access issues or service downtime at all, and customer service has been excellent. If we have any questions the chat function links you to a service agent almost immediately. They’ve  all been very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

We use Redtail every day, and the more we use it the more we get out of it. We find something else we need, just ask the chat and sure enough Redtail probably has it. It has so many features and integrates seamlessly with our back office and emails.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

I will admit that the initial set up process had a few hitches, but once that was straightened out it's been smooth sailing.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redtail has helped us to centralize all the documents we have acquired over the years from our clients.  It's much easier to search for a client here rather than go through our old filing cabinets.

It also provides us with a one stop CRM shop. We can just look at of our clients here and it has access to pretty much all their relevant data.

**What do you like best about Redtail Technology?**

I have leveraged RedTail Technology for many years. It has provided invaluable organization for my business as the world moves towards a more technology advanced society. The ability to upload all of my documents, notes etc. create a secure cloud backup. I can access information on the go. I can identify opportunities, organize these and take action. Overall Redtail allows me to be a better Financial Advisor because it allows me to manage my time more effiecently.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

There are many features on redtail that would be beneficial to understand however these require a learning curve. I am only leveraging the technology in a basic sense and feel there is more useful components I am overlooking. Sometimes I also experience slow downs or black outs when trying to access my portal, this is infrequent but does happen from time to time.

Redtail enables me to do advanced searches for prospecting, secure file storage and organization of data for on the go access.

I'm really impressed by the documentation options - ways to tie in specific accounts, attach documents to specific activities and that there isn't a limit to the amount of notes you can add to any given activity.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

I wish that there were more intuitive ways to get answers to my questions.  While there are numerous options when I have a question, it seems like I have to watch a full traning segment in order to get an answer to one simple question.  To this day, I haven't found a way to create a report tailored to my specific needs.  I'm sure that there is an option for this type of report and I'm sure that the answer is out there, but I just don't have time to watch different training videos that I think may provide the answer.

We're best able to tie specific paperwork and account information to specific activities performed with or for our clients.

Client information is fast and easy to find. Can put almost everything about the client and notes so I don't have to go to paper files constantly. I live on Redtail. When clients call in we can identify them immediately and the last few conversations. The Help feature is easy to find. It combines our brokerage accounts. Still learning all the functions that Redtail can do. Use it to identify clients with RMD's and renewals as well. Love the reports.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

One of the only things I can think of is that we are not able to integrate annuity companies. I don't know if we will be able to do that like we do our Fidelity accounts but that would be a great plus.

Identifying clients that have RMD's, any renewals coming up, the last conversations with clients and documentation. Not having to go to the paper files when a client calls saves time. Helps us to remember the client as well. We service around 500 clients.

Customer service is non-existent, issues abound and they don't seem to care or want to fix things.  Suggest a feature has items under consideration for 5+years with no movement.  Not refinable other than adding numerous User Defined Fields that can't be sorted or filtered for a report

**What do you like best about Redtail Technology?**

I love how easy it was to set up Redtail Technology, with the tech support team making the data conversion seamless. It's a one-stop solution where I can access all my clients' information easily. I appreciate the email archiving feature and data import capabilities from my broker dealer. The integration with Microsoft Outlook via Redtail Cloud is fantastic.

Very comprehensive time and date, useful for finding previous notes and helpful for compliance. We also make extensive use of workflows that really helps us keep on top of the complexities of financial planning.

The outcomes of workflows could use some improvement. A few other small things could use quality of life improvements and come client fields but generally very solid.

Compliance and legal help with the complete time and date stamp, along with keeping all of the notes of interaction with client.

We have been using Redtail for just over three years. It has been crucial to how we manage customer relationships and internal workflows.
It integrates well with other software our firm uses too.

While some of the basics are simple, using advanced features like custom reports and workflows require extra time and support. The customer support they provide has been excellent on both chat and phone interactions.

**What do you like best about Redtail Technology?**

Our office has been using Redtail for CRM as well as email hosting for some time now and I find that it is very user friendly. With daily use for at least 15 years (likely more) I also feel that if I do happen to need assistance, the helpdesk is easy to reach and always very efficient. I also love that I am able to get notified via text of any outages that occur on the platform, along with a timeline to anticipated restoration.

I honestly cannot think of a downside to Redtail.

Redtail is where we store all of our documents, we generate mass email campaigns through it. I generate my RMD reports annually, birthday lists, the applications are many. I could not do my job without Redtail Technology.

As a boutique RIA, Redtail has been a great fit for us- we utilize it daily to schedule our day-to-day meetings, develop our internal database of customer data, and monitor customer contact history. We also appreciate the flexibility in generating reports to help us sort through our customer data.

There is a bit of a learning curve. We definitely appreciate all of the training tools and videos Redtail offers, but we still feel as though we're only scratching the surface of everything it can do. It feels like there's functionality we're underutilizing.

It is helping us keep track, update, and organize our customer data, which frees us up to spend more time focusing on our clients

I love the CRM. I think there are a myriad of ways to configure it to work for each specific advisor/office, and I really appreciate that.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

I have a number of suggestions for improvement:

1. Please figure out a way to drag and drop files and folders in imaging instead of scrolling through hundreds of folders when moving files. Drag and drop was available in Retriever and was super helpful.
2. Please provide a Search when moving folders instead of scrolling through hundreds of folders when moving files.
3. When viewing images in imaging, please show the pdf so we can scroll down the document like a normal pdf instead of clicking to advance each page.
4. (This is MOST IMPORTANT to us!) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE provide the ability to notify a user or a team from a Notes COMMENT and not just the original note. We use comments extensively and it would be extremely helpful to notify other users from the Redtail note comment.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Notes in the CRM are extremely helpful for remembering all the nuances of everything that is happening with any of our clients. At any one time, we are juggling approximately 70 client service items and it is very difficult to remember everything associated with every account. It is also very helpful to refer to notes that someone else put in so the client can be assisted by anyone.  This is crucial to our commitment to excellent customer service.

The customer service is 10/10. Otherwise it is a very reliable and proven CRM for the financial industry. Cost is reasonable and they do not nickle and dime you with tons of add-on features.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

Nothing big that I can think of, it is a leader in the industry and has stood the test of time. Some things around workflows could be streamlined and a little less clunky. Too many clicks are needed to mark task complete, etc. But that's not a huge issue at all.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They host my e-mail and I use them for my main Financial Advisor practice CRM. It allows me to maintain control over my book of business and data separate from my RIA/BD so that no matter what shenanigans they have going on I know I am protected and maintain control over my practice, data and relationships, which is the true value of a practice.

I like Redtail mail and Redtail chat.  It helps to be able to communicate with clients throught the chat and the info is saved to their profile.   The same for Redtail email - it saves the communication with the client for future reference and compliance reasons.

I get logged out of the chat too often and have to re-log in alot which can be a pain.

Redtail keeps all my client information organized and it's easy to run reports using the client data.

What I love about Redtail is how it allows myself as an assistant to organize information for my boss, a financial advisor. Being able to manage client information and scheduling so easily and hassle-free is very beneficial to my position as an assistant. The interface is simple and easy to view, and the menu options are very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

In my 6+ month experience using Redtail, I have not found any obvious downsides to the experience. Everything in the CRM is user-friendly, and whenever I have a question, the Redtail user guides have been helpful in answering questions.

**What problems is Redtail Technology solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Redtail solves the problem of implementing all the client information that we come across and allows us to do so in a way that simplifies everything. This benefits me because it makes life easier and gives me a one-stop place when I need something like a client's address or a value from a client's account.

Redtail integrates well into our advisory team’s day-to-day operations. The advisors rely on it for client servicing and account management, and it helps them maintain structure in their workflows. It’s reliable for tracking client interactions and keeping detailed client notes.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

From a marketing standpoint, the tool falls short. The appointment workflows feel clunky and not intuitive, and the calendar integrations are limited. There are no robust settings for automation or reminder workflows, which makes it difficult to streamline marketing processes or manage recurring campaigns. As a marketing leader, I’d love to see more flexibility and automation built into the system to better support department-wide initiatives.

Redtail is a solid tool for advisors, particularly for client management and servicing workflows. However, from a marketing department perspective, it lacks the flexibility and automation features that make campaign management and team collaboration efficient.

Endless amount of features, so many features that I doubt any one person could use them all. This gives you good choice. We recently brought on a remote team member and now we use the activities function to assign task to this employee. Its been working well.

**What do you dislike about Redtail Technology?**

UI is not the most attractive, could have a little more aesthetic appeal, but function is more important than looks.

Document storage is good to allow sharing between remote teams. 

Tracking tasks with remote team members and assigning duties and tasks to them without having to call and explain, we will start building workflows next.

Work flows are the best in the industry and I have used several CRMs.  If you like checklists or organized processes this is the CRM for you.

The pages can be sometimes long to load if you are pulling a lot of client information.
